Guang Fulin Prime Hotel Shanghai Reviews

Chinese traditional decorated hotel with modern room renovation which is very Instagrammable. Hotel has side door access to nearby attractions. The only thing which is not on par with international hotel brand is the breakfast spread is lesser with average quality. Hotel did not offer to waive my child breakfast, unlike other 5 stars hotels we stayed during this trip.

My parents (in their 60s) absolutely loved the Chinese ancient and history vibes there. There are so much to see, eat, play. I brought my daughter to 欢乐谷 theme park to play while my parents strolled at the parks nearby. My daughter enjoyed the indoor kids pool and playground too. As i went there during Summer, there were a lot of mosquitoes in the evening/night time. Though there are insect repellents in every hotel room and common area, you can still see mosquitoes flying around.

The environment is very beautiful and peaceful. The hotel is right beside the park and has direct access to it. Staff are friendly and their service are very good. Special thanks to 泡泡 who helped us a lot and do extra miles to assist on our enquiry.

Enjoyed our stay here. Good breakfast good service, good hygiene and very relaxing with nice and peaceful ambience. Note that this hotel is about 1 hour from the city , if you would like to hangout in the city this may not be an option for you. If you prefer quiet and peaceful environment, this hotel is highly recommended.

One of the best hotels, especially if you want to have a taste of the traditional chinese culture. Environment is very attractive. The room is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Stayed 3D2N during the Golden Week. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Were there for bday celebration and lovely hostess 小田（Xiao Tian) was very thoughtful and arranged surprise arrangement in the room for us. Another surprise cake when we got back from dinner. Kids had fun at the Children indoor water park. Breakfast variety was good. Had dinner 2 days in a row at Yiyuan Restaurant. Love the food! Hotel staff were all very helpful. Hotel is located right next to the Guangfulin Relic Museum. Beautiful architectures and sightseeing. Bit of the downside - room located at ground floor, balcony is facing walking streets. Not so much of privacy. Bathroom is spacious but toilet space is a little too small. I’m a petite size but i find it crampy. But of wear and tear in the room deco and carpet could be cleaned better. Gorgeous compound with a resort feel. Room were spacious and within the Guangfulin main attraction location which is currently still developing. Prefect place to chill and have a nice stroll within and near the hotel compound.

The garden scenery of the hotel itself is worth a visit. If you stay on weekends, you can also experience the lighting ceremony and the introduction of the ancient house. There are also many parent-child projects. The package directly includes the children's playground and the cute pet park, which is cost-effective. Before check-in, the butler Xiao Hao will inform the hotel of related activities in advance. Guangfulin is just behind the hotel. You can walk to it in 5 minutes by swiping the door card and crossing the small bridge (Xiao Hao will considerately prepare a map in advance). If you have any questions during your stay, you can contact Xiao Hao directly on WeChat. The replies are very timely. He also considerately prepared birthday cards and small cakes. The ceremony is full and the family is very satisfied.

The ancient garden-style hotel is adjacent to the Guangfulin Ruins Park. The lobby is the former residence of Xia Yan, the prime minister of the Ming Dynasty, which was dismantled and rebuilt in Jiangxi. It is very grand and exquisite. The second floor seems to be a book bar and tea room, which is quite quiet. The room is quite large with a balcony. It is suitable for sitting and daydreaming when the weather is good. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas and has a bathtub. The bathtub is a little big for people like us who are about 1.6 meters tall. I kept sliding down when I sat in it. It would be better if there was a backrest. The breakfast is good and tastes good. One of the special points of the hotel is that there are corridors between the lobby, guest rooms, and dining halls. There is no need to worry about the inconvenience of walking on rainy days, and guests can enter and exit the Guangfulin Ruins Park as many times as they want. Just swipe the room card at a small door behind the hotel. The service is also very good, providing butler service. Wang Kuo added WeChat in advance and asked about the check-in time and other needs. I really like the hotel's decoration design, which is very classical, and the surrounding environment is also quite good, right next to Guangfulin. The dinner at Yiyuan was also very satisfying. My friend and I each brought a child to the hotel. We booked a double bed, the room was very clean, and there was a small terrace. The housekeeper Xiao He contacted us in advance, and various questions and needs were answered and solved~nice We haven't checked in yet, and they also reminded us of the weather and other conditions. Every morning and noon, they sent greetings and informed us of hotel activities in advance, and actively asked about needs~ It's a pity that I'm not strong enough to take my child to play in the water and experience the water park. It is full of golden nanmu, carved beams and painted buildings, and the decorated roof is elegant and shows the ancient charm. [Room] I booked a Mingge two-bedroom loft suite. The upper floor has a large bed and the lower floor has a king-size bed. There are TVs upstairs and downstairs. The upstairs bathroom is relatively large, with a smart toilet and a bathtub (bath bags can be sent to the room by calling). I like the independent cloakroom downstairs the most. It is convenient to hang clothes and place luggage without taking up free space. There are 5 soft drinks (including Perrier carbonated mineral water) and 1 beer in the minibar. There are 2 large and 2 small bottled water, which is enough for a family of four. There are three types of tea, Tieguanyin, Jinjunmei and Longjing. There are two flavors of Nespresso coffee capsules. The hair dryer in the bathroom is Dyson, the toiletries are Clarins, and the hand soap is Shanghai Tang. There are also books for reading. [Breakfast] There are many varieties, and the most attractive one is the breakfast stall at the door. There are dried plum biscuits and sweet potatoes freshly baked in a large vat, hand-beaten water-milled rice cakes (with 2 sauces, and you can also dip them in brown sugar powder and soybean powder) and freshly baked waffles. There are 4 kinds of porridge, and I like oatmeal porridge the most. The salami and cold meat in the cold cuts are very delicious. There is relatively little cheese, and the quality of coffee beans is relatively average. [Service] It needs praise. I have seen many waiters in five-star hotels with blank eyes and moving around. The waiters in the Prime Minister's Mansion can basically do what they see and do. On the day of check-in, someone came up to me and told me to turn left and check in. When I saw that I was only carrying a backpack, I asked if I needed help carrying it. After checking in, there are Prime Minister's Mansion courtesy (a kind of fruit and 3-4 small snacks). The butler also took good care of WeChat. When I booked a restaurant for dinner, the butler said that I had to ask the restaurant for specific details, and the restaurant phone number was called immediately to ask. I couldn't find the black tea during breakfast. The waiter not only told me where it was, but also asked me which table I was sitting at and poured the tea for me. There are regular guzheng performances in the lobby, and lantern ceremonies on Fridays and weekends. Unfortunately, I missed it because of the Yiyuan dinner. I can only come back next time. The overall stay experience is very good!
