The hotel is a little dated and you can tell it used to be nice and modern. The rooms could use an update or a little “zhuzh”though. The amenities are good and the grounds are well kept. The staff is also amazing and were helpful whenever I had problems. I do get you’re paying for the Marriott brand but compared to other Marriott owned hotels, this hotel is just ok. A bit underwhelming and overpriced. Breakfast was good with a variety of options from Western to Chinese. The restaurant also had tasty, flavourful food I tried for dinner. Big up to this . I was upgraded to the pool access room which was nice, I had escaped cold Shanghai for a warmer place, ended up not swimming because the pool was a little cold. Wish it was heated( maybe the kiddy pool was). Sanya was unfortunately gloomy and cold so didn’t get a chance to enjoy the ocean. Overall the stay was just okay. Nice if you want easy access to a beach you can actually swim in.

The hotel is beautiful and our room was pretty big. But the thing that we still can’t understand is deposit. We stayed for 6 nights and deposit should have been 6000rmb. That’s insane. What if i stay for 20 nights???? I gave only 2000 coz my alipay was empty. And it takes time to change money coz i m a foreigner. Do smth with deposits!!!

I booked the hotel for my 3 days holiday. I would say this was a memorable experience for me at MGM. It has a great location at Yalong Bay, with just a few minutes walk to the beach. The outdoor of the hotel looks like a waterworld park, with a lot of swimming & sunbathing places, and even a small water playground for kids. I enjoyed the surf experience in the hotel. Room was very clean, and tidy, and up to standard. We were staying in the lagoon room, with a swimming pool in the front. The pool water was very clean. The breakfast buffet includes a wide variety of both Western and Chinese foods. Staff were super nice and really helpful especially Jelly Shen, who ensured a smooth transition of our room. She provided the flexibility and arranged different outdoor activities for us since we are not good in mandarin, and also provided sightseeing advices within the area. In these 3 days, she was more like a friend of us, provided exceptional support for our need. This was one of our best travel experience we had ever. I would highly recommended to stay here for those who like water activities or with kids.

Stayed in a villa with its own pool, so relaxing and comfortable. The hotel was pretty clean. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of western food, they had nice variety of breads, croissants, cheese, salami, eggs, etc.. and had a nice coffee machine to make lattes and expresso. The beach is just across the street and only takes a few minutes to walk over. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Всём здравствуйте! Людей много, но тихо и спокойно. Наш номер был на первом этаже с выходом в бассейн, что очень удобно и рано утром и вечером. Номер большой, терраса, лежачем, пара ступенек и бассейн. Бассейн достаточно большой, плавали на сапе, правда стоя на коленях. Уборка неплохая, горничные чаевые не берут. Завтраки отличные, есть блюда европейской кухни. Отель находится на второй линии, до моря идти минут 15-20. Рядом с отелем есть где покушать, но мы ездили на площадь Ялунбей, там и выбор побогаче, и цены демократичнее. Рекомендую!

I have had a short stay for 3days but what impressed me the most were the very friendly and professional staffs. They took the initiative to move things around so even when I arrived early, they were able to settle me in ahead of schedule. It's very quiet. It's the best place to sleep. I don't have the heart to comment. I'm afraid there will be too many people here and I won't be able to book a good room again. Haha. The facilities are a bit old, but it doesn't affect my mood just for rest. There is no elevator🛗. It's perfect if the water in the wash basin is repaired.

This was my second time staying at the Ritz and it was another amazing and relaxing trip! We booked the garden villa and it was everything we expected. Our butler Jarvis was very attentive and accommodating and made our trip the best it could be! He really was one of the best parts of the trip. He booked our reservations for dinner in a timely manner and always made sure we were taken care of! He also brought our deliveries from the lobby to our villa. Breakfast was good with many options. The facilities were all completed from my last stay and were very nice. The meals offered at the various restaurants are very delicious and worth the money. Overall, my stay was amazing! I will definitely we be staying here every time I travel to Sanya. A few updates/ suggestions I would recommend . The villa pool is covered by trees so it doesn’t get much sunlight in the winter. So I would recommend trimming the trees that surround the pool. The deck for our villa also needed some updates because it had many loose boards. The last thing is, with the epidemic situation, I wish they would have enforced everyone to wear masks at the buffet. Besides that the stay was nothing short of fantastic! Will stay here again for sure. Again, thank you Jarvis for your hard work during this rough time and while being short staffed. Looking forward to our next trip.

This was my second stay at the Yalong Villas and Spa. The first time I stayed in a room in a villa with a pool and this time I opted for the lake view room, overlooking the pool and tropical lagoon. Both times I have stayed here I have the feeling I have been transported to Bali. The grounds are lush with palm trees and gorgeous landscaping and the lobby decor with its gorgeous wood furniture and koi ponds and fountains, reminiscent of many of the hotels I have stayed in in South East Asia. The hotel room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable with lovely linen. I slept with the balcony door open and fell asleep to the sound of the palm trees rustling in the wind. The room was extremely quiet. The rooms facing the lagoon are North facing, so there is not a alot of sunlight on this side of the building. Breakfast is a pretty good Chinese/Western buffet with lots of options and there is a quiet outdoor seating area if you want to avoid the morning rush of families. The hotel offers a shuttle to the beach across the street which is shared with the Horizon hotel, but I opted to walk each day as it is only 5 minutes or less from the hotel. I would definitely return to the hotel and hope one day to check out a proper private villa when I return with a group of friends!

Wonderful vacation at the Horizon hotel! This is the best hotel from those where we have stayed in Sanya ! Very convenient location, the amazing sea and the beach. Very good breakfasts! Clean! Only a few minutes from Yalong bay by taxi. Our room got upgraded which was lovely . The pool is big and the facilities were clean. Breakfast was a big disappointment unfortunately. But the room itself was lovely with a separated kitchen area, bedroom , bathroom and living room. The staff was kind, although English was limited, they made the effort to translate what was needed. There’s also some hot springs, and some animals around the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you want quiet and close to the beach, and if you are not fussed about breakfast.

Because I was traveling with my family, I compared many homestays. The rooms are indeed the same as in the picture. They are very spacious and clean. You can see the swimming pool from the balcony. The lighting is very good. Both rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows. There is also a kitchen for family cooking. Equipped with washing machine and washing powder to play can also liberate your hands, and next to the outlet  shopping mall for children to entertain , travel is also convenient , the housekeeper is also very enthusiastic to inform the nearby travel guide, very very satisfied  is that their home also has a free day trip to the sea. The price is very high,  will recommend it to friends!

What kind of bicycles do you want? Sanya Bay is to rush to the beach. This hotel is really good value for money.
