The hotel has a good location, just a few minutes walk from the Ueno station. Plenty of choices of restaurants nearby. But the hotel itself is a bit old, and it was a bit uncomfortable to go to onsen, which is located in the main building, if you book a room in the annex.

Good location(close to train station), friendly staff. The room and bathroom was clean but the hair dryer had a bit of dust on/in it. The room felt a bit cramped for two but is manageable if you don’t have large pieces of luggage. Overall had a good stay here.

I had a wonderful stay at this small but exceptionally clean hotel! The room, while cozy, was perfect for a solo traveler. It’s located in a quieter area of Ueno, providing a peaceful atmosphere while still being very convenient to the train station. There are plenty of food options and shopping nearby, making it easy to explore the local area.
The hotel amenities were great—everything you need for a comfortable stay. I especially loved the hair styling device provided in the room; I liked it so much that I ended up purchasing the same one back home! Overall, I had no issues with the facilities and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Ueno.

The hotel is located very near to Ueno station. Very convenient for shopping and dining nearby. It's also easy for people travelling to other areas as it's near to the underground rail and JR rail station.
However, the room is small and they do not provide toothbrushes inside the toilet and room cleaning service when you go outside.

Very good location, not far from KEISEI skyline station (to Narita), close to a lot of subway line and JR, close to Ameyoko market, Uniqlo, Takeya. Very easy to shop, to eat and to go. Has microwave and washing machine. Clean room, quiet and no smell. Provide full of amenities and towels (change everyday). Able to deposit bag before check in and after check out. Has enough space for medium opened luggage and small opened luggage (compare to other hotel in Ueno, it has no enough space to fully open luggage). Next trip, if I go to Tokyo, I will stay here.

The location of this hotel is super central within Ueno. The only downside is the rooms are smaller than average by Tokyo standards and resemble cruise ship rooms but on the other hand, the nightly rate is pretty cheap so you can't really expect more. To accommodate my family of 3, I booked two rooms and luckily they were able to be next to each other and this was a good solution when me or my partner needed to get work done at night/early morning and we didn't want to disturb our toddler from sleeping.

Great location with close subway, next to Parkco and other departments store nearby. Also very close to another shopping district-ameyoko. No complaints !
Extremely tiny room for 3 beds, 3 person. Basically. Only big luggage can be open but stock by the door. So, open it and close right away. (No room ).
Maybe for 2 or 1 is easier.
We didn't eat breakfast since the check out time is 10am. Each additional hour is 1000 yean.

The room is very clean and quite, suitable for solo traveller like me. Walkable to Ueno train station. Surrounded by convenience shop. The best convenience shop beside is Lawson natural. Has a lot of nice food especially for vegetarian, it has vegan foods and it also work with famous vegan noodle shop tan tan's. I bought the cold noodle there. And Is about 30 minutes walk to Asakusa Temple. I would love to come back here in future.

GGuest UserI am a book lover myself, and came to stay here for 2 nights in March a week before Easter, mainly for the library theme and book selection. The hotel itself, the book lounge, and the book libraries on each floor was all very very good. However, upon my checking in, it was obvious that the male receptionist on the left pay more attention to Caucasian guests rather than me (an Asian solo female traveller). I had the impression they just wanted to get rid of me asap, and then served the Caucasian guests behind me.
During the whole of my check in process, no one mentioned anything about the special libraries on each floor, no one told me about the free beverages offered “at the far end corner for the reception desk”, and definitely no one mentioned anything about he QRcode library tour!!! I stayed for two nights and it was only after the first night (when I read the books inside my room that I knew of ANY of the services I mentioned above). Of course one may say I could read all those on the signage’s provided in the property. But then…
Upon walking into the reception desk the next day, I did hear the same male receptionist explained in great detail (everything I mentioned above)in English to other Caucasian guests.
I like the library premise of the property, the books selections were great, exhibition on the first floor was quite nice, however, I am not sure if I would stay for a second time, knowing how they treated solo female Asian guest whom they assumed was not civilised enough (that was my impression) to deserve a thorough introduction about this lovely bookish hotel from them. Quite disappointed to be frank, especially knowing how much history this hotel has included!!
MMing KitRight next to Shinjuku JR Station,Takashimaya. Location is super convenient. The hotel room is right up high in the sky and you can have the best view of Tokyo. Breakfast is also good. And there are some good restaurants on the same building at 3rd/4th floor as well. (Picture are the view from hotel room and lobby)
WWinnie PPThe hotel is very close to Shinjuku Station, which made getting around Tokyo a breeze.
Convenience stores like Lawson and Family Mart are right next door, perfect for grabbing snacks or essentials.
The room had everything needed— phone cable, shampoo, and toothbrush etc —making it super convenient.
the staff were incredibly helpful in resolving a minor issue we had, which made my experience even better.
I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip!
GGuest UserI would definitely return to this hotel again. The staff was very attentive and the location is fantastic. The room we had stayed in was newly renovated and the interior design was very user friendly. The breakfast at the premier lounge was amazing.
LloobenjaminExcellent service staff especially Miss Fujita mending the checkin counter. She has been very friendly, helpful by providing us with a lot of information, explained in detail about the hotel facilities and even recommended us to some site seeing locations in Asakusa. Hotel is in a very strategic location within the heart of Asakusa, accessible by 2 metro line, with great 7-11 just a few steps away from the hotel. Definitely going to repeat our stay there in the future.
SSALLESWe had a nice stay at Washington Hotel Akihabara. The hotel is well located, nearby metro lines and local trains which allow us to easily move around Tokyo. Although the room is small, it is well designed and it big enough for few nights. The bed is not very large but comfortable. We managed to sleep with our 2 yo kid. You can also choose between soft or hard pillow. The bathroom was quite big with a nice bathtub. Around the hotel, you have plenty of restaurant and convenient stores. The buffet breakfast was great and everything we try tastes really good ! There is a large choice between Japanese food and wester food. Finally, there is a laundry area which was really convenient.
SschecelI booked this hotel about 3 months before my trip and get the best price! Breakfast are nice but not many variety. Cleaning is also everyday and it just feel so nice to come to the clean room after a full day outside. Def recommended this hotel if you are on a budget!

AAnonymous Useri booked the triple room as it was the only room left. there was space for only 1 large luggage - the room was a little old but bed and duvet surprisingly comfy. onsen was small so it got a little crowded as the hotel was full that night. location was great - tho the nearest ikebukuro stn exit with lift, C9 (vs 20b), is a little further from the station. excellent authentic chinese food nearby (豪妈 on google maps), and a family mart just across the street. great hotel!
GGuest UserI love the location it’s super convenient. Staff are super polite and smiley.
Service wise is not good too many strange rules firstly, there is no phone in the room. In case u need one it’s near the elevator on each floor to speak to the staff.
The twin bed are way too big for us 2/3 of the room. I can’t even open my suitcase easily.
Only one elevator in this 14 storeys hotel right next to their emergency stairways. There is a sign saying if you are in a rush please use the stairways but we were on the higher floor and it’s so cold February a few degrees Celsius ???? Well no thanks I shall wait patiently then……
No daily cleaning service we stayed 5 nights the hotel offered one time cleaning during our stay. All the dirty linens and garbage have to be placed outside your door by 10am if new towels needed. Strangely one bottle complimentary water was given to 2 guests daily together in a bag of towels and slippers toothbrush garbage bags. Only one washing machine ¥600 35mins, dryer ¥300 60mins available (cashless payment only) Onsen too small and poor facilities.
