We spent 3 nights in a twin room, the hotel is within very easy walking distance of the major parts of the town. Rooms was compact (at the cost we should have taken one room each) clean, daily serviced, good hot water and pressure with comfortable beds. There is a local breakfast available at nominal cost with unlimited toast & tea and coffee available. The staff are simply breathtaking in there wish to welcome you. English is not their strong point but you can make yourself understood or get your phone translator working. For example on arrival we wanted a beer and after the receptionist tried to explain where to go she gave up and went and got the beers for us (we paid) then she brought us a wine ice bucket to keep them cold whilst we drank them, your room does have a fridge. They organized a a guide for us and transport on departure to the bus terminal. Nakhon Phanom is a quiet town on the Mekong opposite Laos with a high Vietnamese population some good restaurants, don't miss the Sunday night Market for an outstanding range of Thai, Lao and Vietnamese foods. The hotel punches well above its star rating. We will be back

The Pornpiang was just perfect ... Check-in – Well it was super-flexible, noting that a slightly disorganised yours truly left it all until the proverbial eleventh hour (11th hours), to get organised with regards booking my accommodation for my first ever stay in Nakhon Phanom (NKP). The staff are highly professional and courteous, with solid English second language (ESL) skills to boot. I handed over my cash, my passport was copied, key-card issued with instructions and before I knew it, I was camped out in front of the television (TV) on one of the mega-comfy twin beds. … Duration - Excellent assistance and ideas shared by the team during my stay. One of the highlights on my third and final day, was the use of one of the hotels cycles, which I duly used for a Sunday morning bike-about along the water, to and from my breakfast on the Mekong River. One of things I enjoyed was the fact that the location gives one the best of both worlds for the area. Namely, that you have the central business district (CBD) on your doorstep and all the sightseeing, dinning, drinking and people watching opportunities of NKP Walking Street (see my YouTube), which in my view, is a must-do if you are in town on a Saturday night. … Check-out – I also left my transfer to the bus terminal until the 11th hour and once again, it was smartly sorted by the local experts at reception, who duly organised for me an economical and on-time tuk-tuk taxi ride to the bus station, for my onward trip to Udon Thani. Oh yes, I highly recommend this wonderful hotel and no doubt, I will be back …

The room are clean and housekeeping are prompt. Very worth the price for the location which is in between night market & walking street. Accessible by foot. The breakfast has many variety to choose from as they basically order from opposite stall vendor. Served hot. Most of the shift receptionists speaks little english but they are so nice and take care of non local me. I even gave me a warm surprise. They provide decent bicycle with chain lock to rent so you can explore NKP conveniently. No room slipper provided and I realised there's few mosquitoes flew in my room after the house keeping so would be good if there's natural repellent around. I killed 2 so I can sleep in peace. Adding on, airport transfer can be arrange at just 100 baht. Nice!
