The hotel service is very enthusiastic, the rooms are large, the facilities are slightly old, but the functions are complete, it is close to the park, the environment is beautiful, and there are few businesses nearby. It is suitable for chartered or group travel options.

It is nice place to stay. Although the location isn't in CBD, you could take the tram (more than 6 lines) to directly to connect to CBD. The facility is very clean. The service staffs are friendly, and Nice. If you have an issue for something (heating or breakfast), their response is very quickly and provide options. The gym is also nice. Also, they have sauna and swimming pool. You could jog along the Elbert Park located in front of hotel as well. I've stayed for 3 nights and satisfied with facility and staff service.

The high-ceilinged, old-fashioned building exudes a unique charm, though the public bathrooms are a bit small. Rooms near the stairs might be noisy at night due to people coming and going, as there's no elevator. The beds are extremely comfortable, and complimentary drinks, including non-alcoholic options like juice, are available near the front desk. It's thoughtful to have coffee for sale downstairs as well! The common areas are spacious with plenty of spots to use a computer, watch TV, or have a quiet phone call.

Because I didn't want to live in CBD, I chose South Yarra, where Jay Chou often hangs out. There are many restaurants around and it's also close to WWS. I booked a two-bedroom apartment. It's very spacious and suitable for families with children. The hotel is a little old and the facilities are aging. As an apartment, there is no washing machine. Overall, it's not bad.

The kitchen range hood is out of order, the wash basin is stained, the air conditioner is noisy, there are too many drinks in the refrigerator, leaving little space for customers

This order was following the previous booking from Oct 9 to 14 (this one starts from 14 to 16). Unfortunately we didn't received any daily service of the room makeup on Oct 14. Normally the room needs to be cleaned up before the next order; with our consecutive booking, we saved them the effort of the overall cleaning. Despite that, our room was not cleaned at all surprisingly. It ****** to have no choice to use dirty towels from the previous day after a long day.

Location is great and convenient to public transport/grocery shops, room that i booked high floor with stunning view. The staff was really helpful and response/attend to guest very quick. The only thing is the check in process, although the office is just across the road, might be a little troublesome for people who brings big luggage.

I booked it for S$600 for 3 nights. Very good deal and it is a very nice hotel. Spacious for 2 adults 2 children. Separate shower room and toilet. It would be nice if it comes with bathtub though. Nothing else to complain other than the inconsistency in roomkeeping service. They only topped up amenities like tissue box upon request though it was empty during room keeping. Need to request for extra pillows as only gave 4 per room for 2 queen sized beds. not within free tram zone but only 1 stop away from free tram zone. Usually we will stop at batman park stop and walk back. Links between 2 crown hotels, very convenient.

The room is clean and has complete facilities. The staff was very friendly, but it was difficult to find a parking space. The bad part of the experience was that for some reason the room upstairs made noise at 6 o'clock, and the electric drill was used continuously after 8 o'clock, which greatly affected my sleep in the morning. When we booked the room, we clearly chose to arrange a quiet room as much as possible, but we were still placed below the room where construction was taking place.

GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.
AAnonymous UserEverything is under expectations, however we booked a standard queen room but we been assigned a accessible queen room. 🤣. Anyway we still enjoyed the stay and breakfast are quite decent.
MMarieThe signage upon parking is really bad, you need to do a lot of guess work as to where the e trance is once you are in the underground parking. Which by the way is $40 extra.
We were given our room key and pointed to the direction of the lifts and I piece of paper with very basic explanation of things.
We headed to our room and immediately left to go and see if there were any other options. Initially we were given a room that had a view of the carpark, walkway and roofing, lots of steel and very claustrophobic.
I told the lady I wanted a room less depressing our view was just small being boxed in with steel and no view. She was kind enough to upgrade us to a king room with amazing views.
Not a lot was explained to us so we had to look for the recreation room and facilities on our own. The staff are very detached and service with a welcoming smile was simply not there. The room had no slippers, robes, shower caps or complimentary water.
Breakfast was much the same attitude, she asked for the room number and go sit and eat. No explanation of gluten free options or how we obtain a hot chocolate as the coffee machine does not dispense hot chocolate or chai. The scrambled eggs were so cold and disgusting. Would I stay here again? Probably not!
FFlynn GVery nice lil place! Friendly reception staff, clean bathroom and amenities provided were in good nick.
Location is on the bottom left edge of the central business district, in the free transit zone which was mighty helpful for my travels. Very breif walk, about 4 minutes to Southern Cross :)

AAnonymous UserThis hotel has the worst service of any Hyatt I have ever stayed at. The overall staff was absent-minded, and no one ever answered the front desk phone or room service. Several times we had to run downstairs to communicate with the front desk. There are no bathrobes in the hotel, which is the first time I have encountered this.
GGuest UserNot recommended for those who value their personal data security and privacy.
Not recommended for internati9nal travellers who may not have enough charge on their phones to complete 3 forms, then download and set up an app that requires constant internet and Bluetooth connections.
Booking required multiple insecure methods of sharing credit card details and identification documents along with 2 forms to fill out with personal details and an app to download in order to gain access to the Building entrance, Elevator, and Apartment.
None of this information was given to me prior to booking. I would not have stayed here if I had known the extent of insecure transmission of personal information and amount of admin and work required just to check in and stay one night. I work in this space and know the risks. Management is putting guests personal data at risks with the excessive documentation requests.
FYI, requiring someone to send credit card PICTURES and ID pictures over email is completely insecure. This is bizarrely at odds with the excessive security to get into the building.
The constant need to carry your phone everywhere or you'd be locked of the apartment or even the whole building was extremely stressful.
In terms of the actual room, once I got in, the bed, kitchen, lounge and floors were clean but the toilet had not been cleaned in a long time. This was not nice. You could see parts under the rim had not been cleaned in years. Toilet had also been recently used and not flushed properly upon arrival. I did not take photos of any of this, it was too gross.
I ended up buying paper cups as the glasses/cups as those supplied were not clean, tried to take a picture but it's hard to see. They were covered in fingerprints and fibres of some kind.
The view was nice and loungeroom was great, study nook was extremely handy for remote work. Balcony tiles are moving and could be a tripping hazard. Laundry was well equipped but did not have time to use it.
BBee LoongPrepaid S$575.33 for booking a room for 2nights from May 22-24. Front desk charged to my credit card again upon checkout for A$586.16 (S$543.59). He didnt realise the double charge until I brought to his attention. He apologised and reversed the charge, & assured me there wont be a credit card admin fee charged. However, when I received my credit card statement, it shows I was charged S$39.04 being FX & bank fee for the mistake the front desk staff made. I’ve been following up with Sheraton MEL since July 10 on this matter but no news after July 26 when I gave the bank information as requested by Mr Kajal Gaurav to process the refund.
Till today Aug 21, I have yet to receive the refund. I have emailed several times to Sheraton but no one is replying. I am still waiting to hear from anyone copied in the email correspondence to provide an explanation and if I will still be receiving $39.04.
Meanwhile, I’d still like to thank David, the housekeeping staff, who was extremely helpful during my stay.
GGuest UserLocation: Can be tricky to find the first time as you need to turn onto Cyril Street. Look across the road for the white building with red writing.
Check-in: easy and fast. The man on reception is friendly and organised, just a lovely receptionist. There is a bond of $200; be organised and you’ll save your time and the receptionist’s time. You can pay the bond in cash.
Parking: great, BUT there are some permanents living there and so you might want to park away from them… you will see immediately where you should not park :) clean parking area. Seemed organised.
Room: very clean, comfortable. There are no knives, forks or plates, but there is a kettle and a microwave. Teas coffees, etc. six milk pods, so maybe bring milk if you need more. Really make sure that you close the door properly or it will seem shut, but not actually be shut and will open :) Good curtains in the room that block out the light from outside. I noticed a fair amount of security cameras outside on the walkway, which was reassuring. Fantastic showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed is firm, but I liked it.
Would or wouldn’t stay again? Unfortunately, no, not while they are acting as ‘crisis accommodation’. The staff and room were great, but there are some undesirables living there who kept us awake all night. Not exaggerating when I say, did not sleep AT ALL. We were up and down to check on the car - the permanents were screaming, fighting - some real Jerry Springer stuff. I was upstairs and the people next to me had a dog that barked all night, in addition to the couple screaming at each other :/ Downstairs, fighting, screaming constantly. it sounded like something got broken downstairs. A guy on a motorbike kept coming and going, visiting the permanents downstairs and talking super loudly, then more yelling and fighting after he tore off on his bike. I didn’t feel safe; I expected the car to get damaged. I realise those people’s behaviour is not the motel’s fault, but I was so tired the next day that I got a migraine and yeah, still fending it off now, day after. Not impressed with those feral permanents. It’s a shame because the staff and rooms are great
