Exceeded expectations! First off, the hotel's location is unbeatable. It's walking distance to the shopping district and Chinatown, and the amazing croissant shop Lune is right across the street. The room view was also fantastic, with an incredible night view – perfect for photos. The staff were all very warm and attentive. I'll definitely choose Grand Hyatt Melbourne again on my next visit.

During the National Day holiday, the value for money was excellent. The front desk staff were very professional, highly recommend. Most of the concierge team were also great, except for one Indian staff member. When I was leaving, he clearly saw I had large suitcases but didn't help me load them into the Didi (it was the Didi driver who ended up helping me). This service issue reduces one star from my rating. The facilities are just average.

The Grand Hyatt is a bit old, and the rooms are on the smaller side, making the overall layout feel a bit cramped. However, the service is good. The location is also excellent; if you book a day tour, the hotel entrance is a pick-up and drop-off point. It's also not far from the tram, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Lastly, the bed is very comfortable. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

The facilities are indeed quite old; everything is showing its age. Its main advantage is the location, which is excellent. It's close to all the major attractions, and getting to Chinatown for meals is very convenient. The breakfast is decent; for Western cuisine, it's quite varied, with some made-to-order options like porridge and eggs.

The room, service, and location were all quite good; however, the building is probably a bit old with poor sound insulation, making it a bit noisy at night.
