Excellent hotel staff and service . The food provided is very good especially the Italian restaurant. The swimming pool is superior with beautiful scenery. Give us an unforgettable memory in Rhodes.

I'll start by saying that it's been a real disappointment. We have traveled every summer on this record and without a doubt who in 20 years of summer holidays is our worst hotel. I start with the sun loungers on the beach, which are completely dirty and give the impression that some of them were ruined and others of a completely different type and of a much lower level were added, giving an air of terrible neglect. The beach bar area has a terrible smell of alcohol, the plastic cups are completely dried out and dirty from so much use, I watched the washing of the cups which consisted of just passing them through tap water, out of brutal hygiene in addition to risk of disease transmission. The rooms are old and poor. The internet is very weak, especially in the room Some foods give the impression that they were invented using leftover food. The employees lack training, they have no rules of etiquette or satisfaction in seeing the guest satisfied and comfortable, it seems that they do things to get the job done. Another point is the sun loungers that are always occupied even when no one is there, I see people booking sun loungers in the pool and in the sea all day long, without setting foot on one of them, something that could be avoided by the staff. Even the gym itself only has cardio machines, 2 dumbbells and 2 weights. Very weak The pool area is beautiful and the garden area too. The room I'm in has two bathrooms, which is a positive point since we are 3 people. I am completely disappointed with the hotel, it is not a 4 star hotel. Without a doubt, I will not repeat or recommend it.

The worst experience ever . Dirty all around …. So unfriendly staff . The pool for kids was really dirty … I will never , never come back here and i’m gonna tell everybody to take care and avoid this hotel . The photos doesn’t reflect reality. Sad .

We have had the best time, at this welcoming and relaxed hotel. We stayed in one of the pool side bungalows. Considering it is the end of the season the room was in perfect condition. The beach is lovely, it is on a reef so be prepared for that, but absolutely lovely- always found a sun lounger. The real stars of this hotel are the wonderful staff, so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Would recommend!

This hotel is beautiful to look at. The grounds are well thought out and the landscaping perfect. It’s beach position is also fab. Although it’s AI it doesn’t feel it as there was no wrist bands and it wasn’t crowded like many AI resorts. Food is good we particularly liked the Greek restaurant and the Italian. I have seen some complaints about not getting bookings, however we emailed the hotel prior to our stay having not been able to use the app and they could not have been more helpful. The choice of food is not as wide as some other places we have stayed but quality is good. The ice cream and crepes were also a big hit. The drinks are great with the wine selection being a real bonus for us. Being able to select a bottle is not usual for AI but great nonetheless. Staff are also all very friendly and cannot do enough to help. We had a few room issues which were all dealt with well. Staying at the end of October meant that the hotel was winding down so the entertainment was reduced. Was fine for us as we just wanted a relaxing break. Loungers have thick padding and the pool towels are massive. The negatives for us were that the pool was very cold (not unexpected as we’d seen the reviews) and the room we had was quite dated and noisy. It was clear things had broken and just been removed. With some TLC this hotel could be perfect. Hopefully over the winter closure this can be addressed.

This is the second Grecotel I’ve stayed at in Greece and it didn’t disappoint. It’s situated in between Faliraki & Kalithea Springs and has a 2.50€ pp bus directly outside which runs up and down from Rhodes to Faliraki. The Lux Me concept is great and the staff are excellent, always smiling and helpful. The indoor pool & gym was a bonus, particularly in October when the weather is warm and the outdoor pool isn’t heated. The sea however is still warm and there’s plenty of water sports options or snorkelling directly from the hotel Beach. Some of the rooms are a bit dated but spotless, cleaned every day and fresh towels provided, we were barely in our room and the request for a ground floor pool view prior to check in was given so we were super happy. There’s a shingle / sand beach but you’re only 30 mins drive from one of the most beautiful soft sand beaches (Psampika beach) or 40 mins from St Paul’s Bay beach which is lovely and clear and sheltered. We’ve had a great time, I would happily come back

We've been coming to Lux Me Dama Dama since 2006. We've always enjoyed our stay & all staff from Managers down to cleaning staff are always friendly & most helpful, I'm disabled & sometimes use a wheelchair & all members of staff alway's ask if I need help up the ramps in the hotel.

Great location, very friendly managers /especially Christina Hadziagorou/, lovely staff and incredible ultra all inclusive concept. The hotel is on the first line just behind the wide beach. There are some pebbles at the end of the beach. In the hotel, your infants can enjoy the baby swimming pool. There are also kids' and adults' swimming pools. Many, many facilities and professional animation team. Highly recommended!

Have just returned from a fabulous week at Grecotel Dama Dama. This was our second visit and after reading recent reviews I was worried but we had an amazing time here again. We had a Seaview room which was lovely and perfect for what we wanted. The aircon worked great and the room was always cleaned too a great standard and the mini bar stocked regularly. The staff at this hotel are a credit to the hotel. Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming and was always available to help you. Unfortunately we didn't get the name of the wine waiter in the Italian but he was so helpful. We saw him the next day in the main buffet and before we even ordered drinks he bought us the same drinks we had in the Italian. He was such a lovely young man. We never had a problem getting a sunbed by the pool. We are generally early risers anyway but usually went down 8/8.30 and never had an issue there was beds still available until around 9.30 most days. The whole hotel is so clean and welcoming. We ate in the greek,asain and italian and all were lovely. My only moan last year is unfortunately the same this year, the buffet restaurant. Although there is always plenty of choice, the food is usually lukewarm or cold. This really does need to be addressed it was putting us off what we were going to eat as no one wants a cold fried egg or baked beans. We used the microwave a couple of times to warm our food up. The beach bar food at lunchtime was our favourite and was always hot so whatever they are doing there needs to be done in the main restaurant. Having said this we would still return as we only ate in the buffet a couple of evenings and breakfast so it didn't put us of returning in the future. One of our party was unwell whilst we were there and the hotel staff were so helpful and always checking up on how he was which was so thoughtful. Overall we had a fantastic stay and hope to return again.

In general i must say me and my wife had a wonderfull and relaxing holiday at this hotel. We stayed one week all inclusive. The friendliness of the staff definitly stood out. They are always smiling, give good information, are working hard and are always there to help you out. Everything is very clean and proper. The room (superior 'sea' view room") was a bit outdated, but still good enough as the beds and matrass are still comfortable enough to sleep on. Our room was at the first floor of the 'side' building and did not really have front sea view as was stated in the booking. We didnt complain as we just arrived and didnt had any sleep for almost 24 hours because of our night flight to greece. Maybe if we had complained we would have given a room on a higher level which did have more sea view. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice. Not much room for improvement there! The dinner was ok but not great. i missed a bit of variation. Most of the luxery big hotels have like a different 'theme' each night. So on one evening you have for example an italian night where there are more pasta/pizza's and just italian dishes. Then the other night you have a greek night where the focus is on greek food etc. This wasn't the case as everynight it was more or less the same food. (overall quality good) if you are a early bird you have the chance to get a nice bed at the pool but also here there are people who think its necessary to lay down their towels on the bed at 7;30 and then leave it there for the rest of the day, just to come back at 15:00 to 'claim' their pool beds. i have seen this happening every day and sadly this is still something that could be taken care of by the hotel. If you are gone longer than 1 hour, they just should remove the towels so other people can claim that pool bed. The hotel has a fitness area but strangly it only opens at 10:00 at weekends and 8:00 at weekdays. This is because its in the same building as the sauna, indoor pool. Most people want to go to the Gym before they have breakfast. (you dont wanna run with a full stomach) so its a pity it opens so late. The beach bar was great, good location, very friendly personal/staff and the ice and crepery is also delicious! For the rest i can only thing of one advise to the hotel manager. Please consider a shower wiper in all badrooms. The water on the floor makes it very slippery.

AMAZING!!! Ignore the bad reviews and book! From the second we arrived at this hotel we were treated like VIP’s, all the staff are lovely, helpful and fun to be around. We were a family of 5, Grandad, Mum, Dad and kids 15/13. We were all catered for and happy. We booked a family Bungalow and Grandad had a standard double room. Both were great, our Bungalow was spacious, bright with an amazing sea view. The large pool is beautiful and there are plenty of loungers with brollies for shade. The smaller pool with the slides are for younger kids, but a great addition. My wife who is Coeliac was introduced to the head chef (Lefteris) who was so friendly and accommodating and prepared fresh gluten free food for her every day which was unbelievable! There is nothing to complain about at this hotel, I was up early one morning to watch the sunrise and there were cleaners out sweeping, mopping and pressure washing the entire pool/lounger area. The rooms are cleaned and tidied to a very high standard. Everywhere is spotless, the restaurants and buffet are all amazing with great variety. The shop is also part of the Hotel and is very reasonably priced, although if you can’t find everything you want, there is a little shopping precinct next door. Staff who deserve a special mention are; Management: Andreas, Manoli, Paul. Pool staff: Arbri, Edi. Gift shop: Natasa Extra Special mention: Lefteris - head chef

Just stayed at the Dama Dama for 10 nights, overall a very enjoyable stay but there is room for improvement in places. Our room was a good size, clean and tidy with a nice view overlooking the sea. It was cleaned daily but had to ask for mini fridge to be restocked. Air con was a bit lacklustre but that seemed to be a theme throughout the hotel, restaurant & lobby weren’t cool either. We only ate at one A La carte restaurant which was the Italian, the food was okay but portions small. The buffet restaurant was good, plenty variety and regularly refreshed however did get a bit ‘sameish’ by day 10. The main issue here was other guests, I’ve played football for 24 years and never been man marked as closely as when I was at the counter. People were rude, pushing in and refusing to give you space. This was an issue throughout the hotel. The pool was nice, cleaned every morning. beds were available as long as you were poolside by 08:45/9ish. Otherwise you may struggle. There were plenty of beds on the beach. The staff were a mixed bag, some very helpful, some clearly uninterested. Queues were small at the beach bar and never took too long to get served. Occasionally had to queue to get into buffet restaurant at busy times but again not for too long. draft beer was ‘Zorbas’, with bottles of Alpha or Sol available along with cocktails, spirits etc. Taxis arranged by front desk were unpredictable. One night it took 60 mins to arrive, the other 5 mins. €10 into Faliraki, €25 to Rhodes Old town. All in all a decent holiday but for the price paid we expected a little bit more. Rhodes was a great island to visit however if we were to return we would look to stay elsewhere.

We really enjoyed staying and using the hotel amenities which are really good especially the indoor pool and the beach bar and noon beach buffet . The food in general is also very good and met all our expectations including for our non meat eater (but eat fish) which was also good. The room which I was also worried about (primary family room) was also in good location at the hotel and very nice- looks like it was renovated lately. Nevertheless we couldn’t book places at the hotel restaurants as it was full so ,my advice is to book in advance through the hotel app once you order your vacation. The hotel team is really nice and welcoming in all places:-) The beach water sports provider is very nice- we recommend to rent a self driving boat and go south to Antony Quinn bay, Ladiko and the caves afterwards.

I just wanted to write a quick review for anyone anxious about coming due to some of the bad reviews on here. I think that either they stayed at the wrong hotel or I am!! We arrived late on Tuesday evening from the UK and were welcomed with cold drinks and cold flannels. Check in was really quick as I already did this via the app (well worth doing as it made it so much easier) We were shown to our room (family room with sea view on the first floor) and our luggage arrived less than 5 mins later. Our room is huge and has everything you need in it. As it’s a family room we have a room with 2 single beds and a separate room with a queen size bed. (It actually seems a lot bigger than a queen size!) I had read it was 2 beds pushed together, if this is the case, there is absolutely no gap in the middle so I honestly wouldn’t know. The air con works amazingly, even with the balcony doors open. We have 2 balcony’s and 2 separate air con units. We have a fridge which is stocked up every other day. It has 4 cokes, 2 fantas and 2 large bottles of water. I’ve been tending to keep the empty water bottles and filling them up at the buffet. There are large fridges dotted around which have large jugs of water you can take round the pool or on the beach. We have queued for the buffet, for around 2 mins and the beach bar I’ve queued for around 8 mins (we all stand in a queue at Tesco/Morrisons or wherever, and we don’t grumble about it) so why shouldn’t we queue for a few drinks? There is never a query to get an ice cream though! The cocktails are amazing, the food is amazing with plenty of choice and always warm and plenty of it. We’ve eaten at the à la cart restaurant, the Italian and it was absolutely wonderful. Sometimes it is nice to be waited on. I cannot comment on the others as we have not tried them yet. We have been around the pool twice, and on the beach twice. We have never had an issue getting a sunbed, on either the beach or around the pool. There are always at least one available. However, throughout the day as people leave, we have been tending to sunbed hop. Obviously this is not ideal for some people, but but it works absolutely fine. There are always plenty of sunbeds available on the beach, and there is a lovely breeze there too. I would recommend bringing some sort of beach shoe, like crocs or even flip-flops because there are a few rocks upon entering the sea. Nothing major though. The staff cannot do enough for you and are so polite and lovely. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone, we are having a fantastic time, we leave in 3 days and I can honestly say I will be gutted to leave! I have to admit we are staying a little bit before the summer holidays, so this could change everything, but we are having an amazing time so far.

Stayed from 20th to 30th June 2024 as a couple without children through Easyjet holidays. We were originally looking at going through TUI but the Easyjet flights were more to our liking. Both our outbound and return flights from Manchester were delayed. We picked this holiday as a medium break in the sunshine for us both. My wife has Coeliac disease, she cannot eat gluten, so we were very thorough with looking a reviews about the food. We are pleased to report she was not ill once, the staff had good allergy awareness and several times they made her gluten-free pizzas or gluten-free pasta dishes. The staff also made gluten-free bread available on demand and adapted several other dishes. We read several reviews before our trip that suggested the hotel was understaffed in May 2024 but the following reviews suggested they had improved that situation. In general we found there was enough staff, there was often a short queue at the beach bar but nobody died of thirst and the staff were always working hard to serve guests. All of the staff we encountered were very hard-working and accommodating of the guests, despite several times guests unfortunately not being pleasant to staff. The a la carte restaurants are definitely worth the effort. Booking is done via a mobile app, get your booking confirmation number from your provider or contact the hotel directly through their website, you get one meal at each of the four restaurants per Monday-to-Sunday, the bookings open on the Friday before, as in eight days before, around 12:30 to 12:45 local time and bookings fill up fast, so be prepared to book. Some people have complained that some of the a la carte restaurants aren't great but some people just love to complain. Loungers round the pool were of a premium, only the sad people willing to get up early will get a pool lounger. Loungers on the beach were usually available, on one occasion we asked the pool towels guy to get us some loungers and he promptly appeared with them. The hotel states that they have a policy of removing towels from loungers by the pool but they never do, we gave feedback to guest services more than once and nothing changed. The journey into Rhodes by bus is very easy, €2.50 per person each way but have cash. Generally we found in Rhodes cash was preferred but there were plenty of ATMs. Public toilets in Rhodes were chargeable, again cash was required and change was often not given. Other reviews have mentioned particular members of staff, there are plenty we could mention but it wouldn't be fair to those who's names we did not learn. For the faults of the restaurant it is not the fault of the staff.
