When I booked this hotel I thought we stayed there before and were confident because of the great location. When arriving we didn’t recognize it and found out later that we stayed in the YWCA last time nearby which is a better hotel. The room in YMCA is small and there is no tooth paste/brush and only one gel dispenser in the shower - not sure what it is - shampoo or body wash. The walls are very thin, we heard every word of our neighbors. Thankful to have a hot water kettle in the room. No slippers. When using the pool you need to get a key card at lobby first as the room key doesn’t work. Staff is kind and very helpful.

I stayed in this hotel for 6 days with my family from June 1st to June7th. Right from the Check in till I Checked Out, I didn’t have any issues. During my entire stay, I could interact with many staffs & all of them did their best pleasingly to help me. During Check in “Christina” was the lady in the reception. Including myself we were five people ( 2 Adults & 3 Children ). We asked for a connecting room. Immediately she made arrangements & provided us. After getting into that room I said, we would prefer a different room as there were no shelves & we were with luggages. Once again, without hesitation she arranged a better room. She was an inspiration for me. Thank You “Christina”. Since the flight was late in the evening on our Checkout date we requested for a late checkout. It was provided. Everything was addressed with care throughout my stay. Another important fact is, this hotel is right next to the Bencoolen MRT which made our commuting very very easy. I would 100% recommend this hotel

One thing that might be good to have is a bidet in the bathroom and the toiletries was not complete such as shower cap and sanitary bag. The rest is excellent. Please note that i cannot comment on food as we did not have any meals in the hotel neither breakfast.

Lets be clear from the start, there are some stars being awarded here because of the hotel, then there are other stars being awarded because of hotel stars. Indulge me, if you would be so kind... If you're thinking of coming to 30 Bencoolen for comfy beds, ice cold ACs or for a central location close to multiple MRT stations then you won't be disappointed. Choosing to stay at 30 Bencoolen will allow you to safely tick 'make a good life decision' off your bucket list. But if you seek the ”local” experience that is so sought after by the many but only achieved by the few, then you come to 30 Bencoolen for Joe. Thats Mr Joe Tan, the Deputy Manager. ” Why leave you a hotel review about a Deputy Manager?” I hear you say. A part from having too much time on my hands whilst I wait for the Indian stall at the Lau Pa Sat Hawker Market to serve their much awaited chicken tikka, here's why.. If you need any local recommendations for restaurants or bars, you go to Joe. If you need to get a taxi, or want to know what you're doing wrong and why you haven't been able to flag one down, you go to Joe. If you need a crash course in Singaporean economics, social customs or are in need for a casual chat about how it's impossible for a regular Joe like Joe (yes, pun intended. It's okay, Joe would appreciate it. If Joe likes its, we all likes its) to afford a car in Singapore (spoiler - a Mercedes-Benz A Class starts at £135 K...STARTS.. at £ 1 3 5 K!), then you go to Joe. If you don't know what you want to do, in Singapore...or in life, you go to Joe. During our week here, we returned many a time after a late night only to be welcomed by Joe slaving away at the daily grind from behind the reception desk. Joe dispences our feeble attempt at small talk with ease and poise. The master class on 'how to make friends and charm people with your eyes closed' is in session and Mr Joe Tan will be teaching tonight. Wanting to flex his 'customer service and relationship expertise' (aka being Joe), the glee and enthusiasm of our Deputy Manager bellows through his covid mask. Before you know it Joe's glance has shifted downwards, his back has hunched and his shoulders dropped as he fiendishly scans his phone, or laptop, or both..for recommendations he knows are worth your while. In the space of what I'm sure was 10 minutes, Joe managed to rattle off half a dozen places that he deemed worthy of your hard earned (and foreign exchanged) SGD. For the ones we didn't have the brain capacity to remember, we reassured ourselves that we could ask Joe to remind us the next morning. But alas, that opportunity never arose. Why? Because Joe realising our diminished mental capacity, took it upon himself to email us the aforementioned list whilst we slumbered. I could go on and tell you more about the parables of Joe, the Deputy Manager. But I feel like this is something that should be experienced and not explained. We came to enjoy the Grand Prix. We left remembering Joe a

In overall, I like their service & also their hospitality and may come back again . My Air Conditioner wasn’t cold at first 2hours and I contacted them, they just came 15mn after that, cleaned it, and told me it’s the rule their AC cannot change to 18 or 20- but it will decrease by ownself to least of 21•c. And it is fine after that AC dropped to only 22, but so cold after cleaning. Their staffs at front desk are all helpful and friendly when I asked them on which MRT station to go shortest… There was some 2 stains on mattress cover that I really don’t like, but didn’t inform since I used to see many reviews before on such thing. Room is quite small, but it’s normal size for SG hotelsss at this similar price based on my research- location is just the best, easy to reach many famous destinations.

Marina Bay

We recently stayed at Pullman Hill St. for 2 nights after a little odyssey at Munich Airport because of the weather and didn't regret it. The hotel is modern and comfortable, extremely centrally located in the “old part” of Singapore. The roof terrace with the view of the Marina Bay and pool is just wow, the bed was super comfortable, I particularly liked the firmness of the pillows. The design is modern and takes up the railway theme everywhere in a great and skilful way, after all it's about the Pullman wagons 😀 The lobby welcomes you with old suitcases that have various stickers from old, formerly well-known hotels and the same Let's clarify the claim of the house, which obviously wants to see itself in a row with these houses. And it can be that way!!! The room was big enough and we didn't miss anything, a great, large safe that accommodates a laptop computer as well as everything else, a Nespresso coffee machine that served us well when we left at 4 a.m., a shower There's no need to be generous with good-smelling shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. What was also good for us was the provision of a comb packaged in organic quality, which unfortunately didn't make it into our luggage... On the morning of our departure we were provided with a delicious breakfast doggy pack - great! In short, we were very happy with the new Pullman Hill Street and can imagine staying there again if we end up in Singapore.

After seeing some of these reviews, I was somewhat apprehensive about booking this place. I needed a place for a couple of nights at the end of my latest 7 week trip and thought I'd take a chance. Over the last 20 years, I've stayed at almost all of the Bencoolen area hotels and most have gone downhill precipitously. When I checked in, I was met by 2 very friendly front desk employees (James and Firdaus, as it turned out). I knew they had lots of rooms available so I asked them if they would please give me a really good one; well, they did. It was fairly large, quite clean and very quiet. The bed was clean and comfortable, the shower was hot and worked well, the few electrical outlets were functional. and the central A/C was comfy. The included fridge was old but cold and chilled my way overpriced Singapore beer to perfection. I would recommend this place and would certainly never hesitate to stay here again. This area is where I always stay and I think it's the best although others may differ. If I ran this place, I'd buy the housekeeping team a couple of vacuum cleaners. Other than that, I wouldn't do much different. As for James and Firdaus, they certainly treated me fairly and their hospitality was excellent throughout my stay.

This capsule hotel budget-wise is recommendable. The location is great and 5 minutes away from the metro station. I have taken the mixed capsule. I did not expect much because of the price but I stuttered with disappointment when I was there. I availed myself of a stay with free breakfast for 5 days and in these 5 days, never I had tried and seen any food. What I saw are leftovers kept uncleaned. I usually wake up at 5-6 am because I have a conference by 7 am. By that time, no food on the counter. The toilets were furthermore small and crowded. No social distancing or infection control practices. The spaces are cluttered, unkempt, and unmaintained. I have raised the issue to an Agoda representative who told me that I should have the breakfast inclusion. Still, the next day, no breakfast was there. I planned to talk to the reception but most of the time, staff are not present there.

Campbell Inn

Please read - IMPORTANT about Campbell Inn: My 3 tourist friends from overseas have encountered potential scamming of tourists at this Campbell Inn. They have lodged a police report and contact Singapore Tourism Board and CASE in regards to this case. Hope by doing so, it will prevent the owner of Campbell Inn from cheating other tourists and disgracing Singapore as a safe country again. My 3 friends were ignorant of the various Google negative reviews of Campbell Inn and booked two nights with the Inn. However it seems that they have been scammed. It was their first visit to Singapore and she emailed and they tried to call the Inn several times without getting a proper response from the Inn. They wanted to inform the Inn about the late timing that they would be reaching the Inn. However as the Inn was uncontactable for a proper response, the 3 tourists decided to check-in physically at the premises. The Inn was obviously unsafe as it was occupied by alot of migrant workers in the premises and look more like a illegal foreign worker dormitory. The 3 tourists were initially informed by the receptionist that their room were given to other workers and were even asked to stay together with the male workers in the same room. They realized that these workers were wearing scantily (only sarongs) in the room and some of them appears to be drunk. The 3 tourists refused and left the Inn immediately feeling the whole situation was not right and unsafe. However they were left stranded on the streets in the middle of the night. My friends credit card was deducted for the nights which they did not stay in the Inn. They believed that the Inn management have planned this scam in such a manner that they can easily cheat the tourists who did not know the actual ground situation of the Inn. Also suspect several of these workers may be overstayers without legal work permits as they seems to be staying there for a long time. The Inn is definitely not a safe place for tourists to stay in. The practice of this Inn not only causes distress to the overseas visitors but also shame us Singaporeans which our country projected a very safe reputation to visitors from all over the world. The matter has been reported to relevant Singapore authorities.

I stayed here in early December 2022 for a few nights. In general, this hostel is very conveniently located. It is only 4-minute walk from the Downtown Line MRT station. It is the same station that has the closest ATMs. The hostel requires you to pay your balance using cash. If you want to pay by card, there is an additional 3% charge and you'd have to walk to their sister hostel to use their card machine. The sister site is on another street but they claim it's just a 5-minute walk. Also, if you want to print anything or use a microwave, you'd have to walk across the street to the Chic Hostel to do so since this one doesn't have it. There is a fridge but no microwave. The good thing is that they do your laundry, within the same day if you tell them to, for $12. The dorms on the 4th floor did not have a lock on the door so it didn't feel secure from anyone else who may decide to wonder up there. They did have a key card for the individual lockers though. There's only one outlet by your bed so I'd recommend getting an adapter with multiple USB ports or something. The 4th and 3rd floors share a 2-stall shower and toilet combo which was a tight squeeze and a bit moldy, which probably cannot be helped with such humid climates. Only bodywash was available in the showers. Each toilet come with its own handheld bidet. I just wished that the restrooms had paper towels to dry your hands. I did like that each bed had its own TV with Netflix and headphones (even though I never used it). The A/C runs all night which is great. I also liked that eac bed has their owne privacy curtains as well as their own drying rack and clothes hangers.

In curtin Singapore Reading, very close to the new site of the school, 15 minutes by bus, and close to Jin Wentai, the hotel provides continental breakfast from Monday to Friday, although the variety is very limited, but the breakfast is enough for nutrition, especially the ham is delicious, the hotel apartment room is what I see Singapore Hotel is comparison Big, there is a kitchen where you can cook kitchen utensils and tableware. The washing machine with dryer is very convenient. There are also food courts nearby, but there is a pasta restaurant downstairs in the hotel that tastes very good, and it is also very close to west coast park It is very suitable for running. house keeping is done on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It won’t be too disturbing to rest. Overall, this apartment is very good, very quiet and suitable for living. If you don’t like noisy, it’s also very difficult to book.

Arrive in Singapore late at night. I was at an age when it was difficult to stay at the airport, so I chose to lie down, but this was quite comfortable. A taxi from the airport costs $33 (including late night charges). The late-night reception was unmanned, but the self-check-in system worked well, and although it was a small space that looked like a closet, the women's 6-person room was so quiet that I thought no one was there, and the mattress and sheets were surprisingly good. It's high and I had a good night's sleep (although in the morning some people started unpacking their suitcases and there was nowhere to step) Showers and toilets are clean, but be aware that the floors can get wet. Also, perhaps because of the corona crisis, there is no breakfast service as mentioned in previous reviews.

great experience! First of all, had a free upgrade to a Premier room. So huge thanks for that! Went with my partner and had a good rest! Room is beautiful! Although it's rather small, the layout of the room is good enough for it to not matter. One downside is that there was only one chair, which prompted us to move the table by the tv nearer to the bed so that both of us had a seat whilst eating. You can get nespresso in the morning which doesnt add on to your bill and a mini 'fridge' to keep your cold items chilled! Service was great too! Had in-room dining in the morning where we ordered the chef's brekkie. Took me a while to figure out how to call the front desk but when I did, everything else was seemless. However, the food we got didnt really live up to the price. Location-wise, the hotel is near where you wanna go for a good shopping day. However, heading up the hill to get to the hotel is somewhat annoying. It wasnt as accessible as I hoped it to be. Best to drive to the hotel rather than public transport because you'd have to walk a distance and up a hill to get there.

There are shower kit of L’occitane, an dryer and slippers below the bed, free bottle of water, and free coffee and tea bag. The toilet has bidet. The shower has closable door to separate wet and dry area. The fridge is little bit small (can store up to 3 medium bottles of water). Each outlet has a switch that can be turned off. The side bed is a little bit dusty but I don’t really care. The location is great, not far from MRT DT23 and bus stop that can go to Chinatown and Marina bay. The staff is nice. The capsules were well maintained and neat and had everything we needed. Mirror, plug etc. Shared bathrooms were cleaned regularly and were great. Location is brilliant, right in Chinatown and very close to the MRT. I would definitely stay here again. Only criticism is that the capsules and bathrooms can get verrrrrrry hot. One night, my partner couldn't sleep all night as the AC just didn't seem to be effecting our capsule. We notified the staff about this the next day and they gave us a fan for our capsule. I almost felt live giving the rating a 2 1/2 instead of a 3 because although it wasn't a poor experience it wasn't average either because of the room size and other negatives. My room was classified as a ”Superior Single Room Without Window.” Very small space to move around from end of bed to beginning of bathroom. Maybe 7 feet by 5 feet space that the bed and counter ledge doesn't take up. Not much bigger than a pod sized room; but at least you get a good-sized bathroom which was the best part of the room. Excellent shower head with plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable even though it was difficult to get out of as you had to butt hop to make it to the end of the bed. There was more free space in the bathroom than in the bedroom. Narrow counter top for your laptop, the phone, the coffee maker, and other odds and sods. Other positives apart from the bathroom were the basic cleanliness and kind of cool gold-colored basin. Air conditioning worked well; but was difficult to control the temperature. Not much to sit on - a half-chair with basically no backing and hard on your back-end. I would recommend not staying in the type of room I stayed in for more than 2 weeks. There are larger rooms in the hotel with a window; but even the larger rooms from the photos I've seen don't have much room to move around. The hotel has a very small lobby with 2 comfortable armchairs; and not much else. There are nooks and crannies where you can store your belongings including clothers hangers on the walls and space under the bed. Definitely no closet. Another positive is the excellent modern elevator and friendly receptionists. Apart from the coffee maker there is a small refrigerator (which wasn't working during my stay) and a personal safe. I told the receptionist about the fridge not working; but he misunderstood me and thought I meant the phone not working. Another negative - during the weekdays the hotel receptionist is only on duty until 5pm. On the weekends they are on duty until much later. If you need something from the receptionist and they are off duty you have to go to the sister hotel around the corner the ”Hotel Clover - The Arts.” If you arrive when the receptionist is not on duty there is a note with a phone number to phone; but it would be helpful if they had directions to where the Hotel Clover The Arts is located. I actually had to show a fellow who arrived late and was waiting for a receptionist to show up where the HC The Arts hotel was. The Clover 7 may not be a bad choice; but only if you are there for not a long time period. I was there for a month and got used to the room size; but would definitely not recommend staying longer than a couple of weeks if that. Strange how you can adjust to anything; but if you are a tiny bit claustrophobic either make sure you either choose a different/larger room or a different hotel.

This review is long over due. My extended family and I stayed at Oakwood Studios Singapore through most of December 2022 and onto the first week of January 2023. The circumstances around our stay was very difficult but the management and staff at the Oakwood Studios made our stay most comfortable and we can’t thank them enough. This is not your typical service apartment but one with a special touch. And it seems to be popular with expats on short assignments to Singapore and families who have patients being treated at MT E Orchard or many of the other medical facilities across Singapore. Nestled across from York hotel and one building next to Quincy this is a most unique property. I have stayed at both the others in the past but I prefer Oakwood by far with its balcony in every room and clean and modern style with kitchenette. But it’s the people that made all the difference. I would like to specially thank Hitesh for going out of his way and even while on holiday to accommodate our ever changing dates and need for rooms. A big thanks to Nass as well for always stepping up and being most accommodating. Thank you Dan, Denise, Kym, Jet and Shobina for all the help at reception, with the brilliant breakfast boxes and recommendations. The residents loved the Thursday night cocktail and snacks which were complimentary and the many hidden outdoor places in the building (including the roof top pool). A must stay in Singapore for those planning to stay for a week or longer. At the time we were there, we heard that the Ascott group had bought Oakwood Studios. As good as the Ascott brand are themselves, I do hope they allow Oakwood Studios to retain its unique style and personality.

Mary, Maica, and Carms were excellent team that help me in everything that I requested, thanks to all of them. The room was quiet at night even it is in China Town. Plenty good restaurants, near to two SMRT stations, ”China town” and ”Maxwell”, The cleans of the room was amazing and in the same floor you can wash and dry your clothes free or charge. The cooking stuff enough to cook a regular meal. Decent Internet speed. Easy check in and out. quick to revert the deposit to my credit card. Overall wonderful stay

Excellent service, nice staff and host. Love this clean, spacious and well equitment apartment. A palace ambience and super huge from the path way to the entrance and all the way to the unit. Felt like your own kingdom when you enter. Super economic price for singapore stay like this. The area is hidden in housing estate around tourist spot like chinatown and also towards east west side of singapore. They provide such a clean and huge water pressure not to mention which makes a plus tick for foreigner who is worried of water hygience. After my check out the staff also greeted me with super nice attitude and easy going personality. Very nice place that won't push or kick guest out once you complete the stay, everything was smooth and perfect. Nice idea of this concept!

The service is excellent and you can see the smile in the crew’s faces all the time, that can really boost the guests’ moods. In addition, the room is small but well laid out, all the facilities are provided in a sustainable way. On top of that, the cleanliness is remarkable, all the corners and space that are unobvious are as clean as the other parts. The breakfast is delicious and the categories are diverse. What’s more, the hotel provided a free cake for my birthday, that’s really a huge surprise and I’m extremely happy. Overall, if you would like to stay in Singapore, the Clan Hotel is definitely your best choice.

The facilities are very good, it is a local villa area, very beautiful, the landlord is also very good, and provide a lot of help. The only thing that is not perfect is the 30 Singapore dollar sanitation fee, which is not cleaned. It is said that it will be cleaned only once in 7 days. We only live for three days. We do n’t have cleaning tools ourselves, which makes us unreasonable.
