Good
GGuest UserThe room was very spacious, equipped with a kitchenette and all the necessary dinnerware. The views were open and expansive. While the location might be a bit challenging for first-time visitors to Hong Kong, the hotel offers several complimentary shuttle services to and from Central daily. The Pedder Street shuttle stop is conveniently located at the bus station near Central MTR Exit D1. There's also a stop at IFC, but I haven't personally used it, so it's best to inquire with the hotel for specific boarding points.
If you prefer taking public transport, from Admiralty Station Exit B, turn right for about ten meters onto Tamar Street, then turn right again and walk twenty meters to the bus stop for the 12A. It's only two stops to the hotel, at the 'YWCA' stop. From there, walk back about twenty meters to reach the hotel.
When heading back to the hotel from Central, the 12A bus is also the best option. It will first go to Admiralty Bus Terminus and stop for a few minutes while the driver takes a break. You can simply wait on the bus; there's no need to purchase another ticket. I figured this out after staying for four days, as the 12A is a short circular route specifically designed for MacDonnell Road residents. Every time I queued at Admiralty, I'd see people already on board, leading me to conclude they had traveled from Central and were waiting to go up the hill back to MacDonnell Road.
GGuest UserThe room was optimally sized , providing a comfortable balance of space and functionality. A larger smart TV was highlight, offering excellent entertainment options like you tube .
The air conditioning performed very well, maintaining a consistently pleasant temperature throughout the stay. A mini fridge was available, though its capacity was limited to a few cans of beverages, which may not be sufficient for guests requiring more storage.Overall , the room was well-equipped and provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
AAnonymous UserI was satisfied with my stay at the Rosedale Hotel Hong Kong. The room was surprisingly spacious for Hong Kong standards, clean, and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and overall service felt efficient. While the hotel isn’t right next to the MTR, it’s still within walking distance, so getting around wasn’t a problem. Some facilities showed slight signs of age, but nothing that affected comfort. Overall, it’s a good-value hotel that balances price and quality well.
GGuest UserExcellent location, right next to Yau Ma Tei MTR station, and easily accessible by airport bus A21/A22. Check-in is on the 2nd floor, and they offer luggage storage. There's also a shared kitchen on the 2nd floor, complete with a fridge and microwave. Due to Hong Kong's plastic reduction policy, you'll need to bring your own toothbrush, slippers, and towel, or you can purchase them at the front desk. The room looks exactly like the pictures. They provide a key card that doubles as an elevator and room key, so security feels quite high. In the quad room, there's an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower area. While small, it's perfectly functional. Downstairs, there are many fantastic snack shops, all serving delicious food! Transportation is very convenient, and the beds are quite comfortable and clean. There's a slight creaking sound when turning over, but it's acceptable. Roommates are a bit of a lottery; this time, I ended up with night owls who came back late, showered, and organized their belongings, which really disturbed my sleep. However, that's just the nature of shared accommodation. Despite that, I'm still quite satisfied with the room itself. Nearby, the Tin Hau Temple and Yau Ma Tei Police Station are great spots to check out, both within walking distance. And definitely try Chan Kee Roasted Goose – it's absolutely delicious!
CChristopher John GrayConveniently located, comfortable hotel just a few minutes walk from Hong Kong station if you're coming into town from the airport.
Rooms are relatively large and nicely appointed with a work desk, fridge and kettle with a small selection of tea and coffee samples. There's no bottled water but there's a 7/11 just a minute's walk from the foyer.
Best of all, you're surrounded by a plethora of cafes and restaurants to suit all budgets.
HHuanyukongjianThis stay was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless and tidy, beautifully decorated to feel cozy and comfortable. The bedding was incredibly soft and gentle on the skin, ensuring a restful night's sleep until morning. The large floor-to-ceiling window turned the city's night view into a private masterpiece. The bathroom had excellent water pressure, washing away all the day's fatigue. The attention to detail was perfect: smart controls and a well-stocked minibar. The staff were friendly and attentive, truly making me feel at home. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!
AAnonymous UserFirst off, we tried to cancel our reservation because our child was unwell, but the hotel wouldn't budge. Luckily, our child recovered, so we came to Hong Kong. After checking in, we had a lot of luggage, and no concierge offered to help. The hotel also doesn't provide complimentary bottled water; you have to buy it yourself. Even extra toiletries cost money. They do have a free shuttle bus to Tsuen Wan Station and Tsuen Wan West Station, which is very convenient. We booked a sea view suite, and the view was indeed lovely. I've stayed here a few times before, but this was definitely my worst experience.
AAnonymous UserIt's really clean, and the location is easy to find. The soundproofing is good, and the room was cleaned daily. The cleaning staff even folded my pajamas, which was very thoughtful. The only minor downsides were that the sink was a bit low and the faucet didn't swivel, so splashing water while washing my face was unavoidable. Other than that, everything else was great. The rooms all come with a safe and a mini-fridge.
GGuest UserA charming guesthouse with a Hong Kong flair, it offered a lovely view, and I particularly enjoyed the small balcony. However, getting to and from the room was quite inconvenient. The elevator is located on the far side of the building, and even then, it only reaches the 7th floor, requiring guests to descend 4 flights of stairs to get to the accommodation. I opted for the staircase near the entrance instead, which still meant climbing 3 flights. Fortunately, I only had a backpack; I strongly advise anyone with heavy or multiple pieces of luggage to choose carefully. The space itself was adequate for a single person, but the wash basin was truly a nightmare. Squeezed between two load-bearing pillars, it was probably only 30cm wide, forcing you to turn sideways just to wash your hands. Washing your face was a real struggle. To make matters worse, if the tap was turned on too high, the floor drain couldn't cope and would leak water onto the floor. I'm stopping my complaints here!
MM533125****The hotel service was excellent. They offer luggage storage, and check-in didn't take long. When I asked the front desk for an extra blanket late at night, it was delivered to my room very quickly. Great service for an established hotel.
