Very well located close to thd main thoroughfares of El Nido but far enough to feel quiet and relaxing. Spectacular view of El Nido terrain at the rooftop restaurant/pool. "Comfortable Chic" is how I would describe it. Right next door to Friendz, if you can t stand your teenagers to close. They can have their own little vacation from you even if you're together. I just wished the wi-fi was a bit stronger, but hey - I came to El Nido to get my face off the phone. The staff was really accommodating in all aspects of our trips - from shuttle services to bike rentals to restaurant suggestions. They also had the Ferry service office at the mezzanine, so our ferry ride to Coron was ticketed on the spot. I would stay in this hotel again, fo sure.

The hotel is perfectly located in the center of El Nido near restorants and bars. The swimming pool and restaurant in the rooftop are great, delicious food.
Our room was located in the 1st floor and we didn't liked it, because was next to the maintenance room, so was too noisy all day, in addition our window was next to the hall to this maintance room and looks horrible, very dark, also the air conditioner at the room sounds really hard, so wasn't very pleasant to sleep at all. Really friendly staff

The hotel is already a little shabby, the room was not very clean, the air conditioner blew directly on the bed, it was very cold, it was impossible without it
The pool is also dirty, far from the beaches

but the room is not exactly ideal for the money.

Maybe a bit critical. But £500 for 5 nights I think you have to prove why you’re more or less the most expensive in El nido down. Firstly, the hotel is lovely! The views are unreal, the location couldn’t be better. The staff omg, so so so friendly. Like the friendliest. Now to the critical parts - not enough Sun lounges (8 i think) - says on booking websites breakfast is 6am but it’s 6:30am. - no laundry or scooter services - they take a 3000php deposit but don’t allow you to charge anything to you room. Can get anything past 22:00 because the kitchen handle payments. The service in restaurant is SLOW. We waited almost 30 minutes for two pieces of cheesecake to be moved from the display fridge and put on a plate alone. We expected it to come with maybe ice cream and some fruit sauce etc. Nah just moved from one plate to the other. Wait 15 minutes for a coke another time too. Security is good. Room service staff are there in a flash when you need something. Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I pay what I paid this time? No.

On the day of arrival at Cuna hotel I was feeling really unwell. We arrived at the hotel at around 11am. We were informed by front desk staff that check in was 2pm. I explained that I was feeling really unwell and I needed to get some rest and was happy to pay for an early check in. The front desk team including PJ and daisy both spoke and due to me being unwell and clearly sick they said I could check in and they would not charge me the fee. I was absolutely over the moon with their kindness and the help they gave me. They also provided me with tablets at check in to help me feel less sick until my friend could get to a pharmacy for me. The hotel was very comfortable and clean and the rooms were a very good size. The staff were always on hand to assist and nothing was too much trouble. The next day PJ was inquiring as to how I was feeling. I was really blown away by their kindness and hospitality. When checking out again PJ was able to assist with keeping our luggage and also storing my medication in a fridge until 5pm that evening so we could go and do a tour. I would really recommend this hotel not only for its fantastic service but also its really convenient location close to everything. One down side would be that the WiFi was not very stable and did not work well inside the room. But, as this was a holiday rather than a working trip it did not cause us any problems being without WiFi. I really want to say a massive thank you to PJ and Daisy!!! Their kindness and understanding has gone a long way on this occasion. Thank you everyone at Cuna

A great base for exploring el Nido, we had a great stay here. The place is clean, staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are spacious and rooftop pool with a view was a real highlight. Only niggles were that the service at the scape rooftop bar was very slow we waited over half an hour for 2 cokes once and we were the only people there. A couple of things could do with maintenance like toilet door locks, cracked tiles, old towels and keeping on top of refilling the drinking water. Overall a great stay though and I would recommend for your el Nido stay

We stayed in Cuna hotel for 6 nights. The rooms are a bit dated however you got there everything you need and the bed is really comfortable. The massive plus of this hotel is the terrace/bar /restaurant with overlooking El nido harbour. The best view you can possibly get over here. All staff members are very helpful and kind. Well done Cuna hotel ,can’t wait to visit you soon again.

The hotel is in a great location and looks very clean from the outside but actually has a bit of an ant problem and the staff are very unhelpful. There is a nice bar/restaurant on the roof which is a great spot to chill out, as well as the pool which is a decent size.

Ok - let’s start with the positives. The location is superb - just off the Main Street where you can book tours, multiple cash points and supermarkets and restaurants open all day and almost all night. Also - the rooftop views are amazing over the main El Nido bay. The rooftop swimming pool is also great and whilst small - nice and warm and again with stunning views. Drinks and food are well priced but I’d recommend walking into town for more variety. So now comes the downsides. The hotel is definitely not a 4 * on anyone’s rating system. The staff are ok but seem very inexperienced and become quickly flustered and their tone at times was terse. This was across almost all the staff we encountered in our 4 night stay except for the female security guards. Our room - on the 3rd floor was not clean. We actually found the underwear of a previously occupant under the bathroom counter screwed up. There was mould around the taps, the shower was very limited in its power. Some of the brickwork and tiling also looked unfinished and very rough to the touch (sharp in fact - as if it hadn’t been finished!). We had messaged the hotel months before our stay asking for a particular bed configuration but got no reply. When we asked for this and pointed out the message and booking details - they said we could have this but would have to pay an inflated premium. The breakfast had limited options. There was a single ‘choice’ of juice daily and it if wasn’t to your taste - tough. Telling my 9 year old daughter to try iced tea for breakfast didn’t go down well with me or her. Also - a really basic urn of coffee which was quite bland. Finally - the pool was really nice and a great view - however this also felt unfinished. Sat in the water on a ledge created for this purpose - the tiling under my knees was uneven and sharp to the point that it scratched my daughter’s legs on multiple occasions. Also - there was never anyone sat to hand out towels or collect towels despite being around the corner from the restaurant and bar which always had at least 4 or 5 staff. On one day - dirty used towels piled up from the start of the day to the evening….. At what 4 * hotel does this happen???

Amazing value for money, if you want a nice place to stay without breaking the bank, stay here. Very good breakfast (better than many other 4/5* hotels in manila) with a view to el nido Amazing localisation Good room (nice bed, nice shower, it's not a 5* room but does the job, we slept well) Nice, young staff, very helpful. Clean, nice pool with Amazing view Only minus would be that we stayed on the ground floor near their back door/staff room and the staff could get noisy sometimes but to be honest didn't spoil our experience in this hotel

Nestled at the eastern end of El Nido town, Cuna Hotel emerged as the highlight of my journey, offering an exceptional blend of comfort, convenience, and breathtaking views. This hotel, with its variety of room options, caters to diverse preferences and budgets, ensuring a comfortable stay for all its guests. My accommodation in the Budget twin room, while not overly spacious, was perfectly adequate for two people. The room featured a large bed with separate blankets, an arrangement that suits both couples and friends traveling together. Despite its compact size, the room's layout and amenities were well-thought-out, maximizing comfort and utility. The crown jewel of Cuna Hotel is undoubtedly its rooftop area on the 5th floor, which houses a restaurant and swimming pool. This space offers a magnificent vantage point to take in the stunning seascapes of El Nido's front beach. Dining here was a pleasure, with delicious food complementing the scenic backdrop. While the absence of a refrigerator in the room was a minor inconvenience, the overall value provided by the hotel made this an easy oversight to forgive. The hotel's strategic location, combined with its rooftop amenities, creates a compelling proposition for travelers seeking a memorable El Nido experience. In conclusion, Cuna Hotel stands out as a remarkable accommodation choice in El Nido, providing guests with the perfect mix of scenic beauty, strategic location, and thoughtful amenities. It's a place where every sunrise and sunset becomes a memorable event, making it a top recommendation for those visiting this beautiful part of the Philippines.
