Hostels in Queensland, Australia

The hotel felt a bit old, but the location was super convenient, very close to the night market and shopping center! I'm not sure why they only provided a thin sheet and one blanket instead of a proper duvet like most hotels... The windows were old with a metal grill, and the bathroom wasn't a wet/dry separation.

The location is fantastic! It's just a two or three-minute walk to the light rail station, and then another five minutes to the beach. There are all sorts of restaurants and clothing stores nearby, so you definitely won't have to worry about food or lodging. The room and bathroom are both very spacious, and there's even an outdoor pool. Plus, they offer free luggage storage.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was ok but during our stay, no one came and clean up and we asked to change the towels only and the housekeeper seemed like she wasn't happy. When we checked in, the staff at the reception didn't give us any information on when to check out or information about the hostel because my application showed that I could check out until 5 pm, luckily I was asking. We don't ask for any special treatment but just the basic thing that we should've known. We've stayed at YHA Sydney Harbour and the staff were friendlier. Not that bad but not that good though.

I stayed at the Civic Guesthouse before I got a room in Townsville. I felt that it was a really good place to manage. I used a four-person room, but it was not very uncomfortable because there were several shared toilets and bathrooms, and the staff were all friendly ㅎㅎㅎ I want to introduce you to my friends.

I was staying in a bunk bed room. There was a storage space right at the front of the room for luggage. There was some additional space in the bunk beds itself, which I really appreciated. Bathrooms were good, often times occupied though. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Luggage room was too small. I did not make use of the kitchen facilities, so I cannot comment on that.

Only complaint is the location, because buses to Brisbane center has long waiting time. Though it forces this hikikomori to walk more along the beautiful river coast. It is advisable to rent a vehicle beforehand. Also there seems not to be convenience store/supermarket nearby. As for amenities, there is laundry + dryer (AUD 4 + 4) and shared kitchen. But there are no towel, slipper, toothbrush/shaver/shampoo/body wash, so remember to bring your own.

Even though the room was nearby the stairs I did not hear noise from people passing by and had a good sleep • shared bathroom was cleaned meticulously. • amenities: they have a pool which is really nice and the inner courtyard is quite comfortable and has space to interact with other guests as well to just chill • location: 15 min taxi from the airport (only way to go to the airport) 10 min walk from the train station and 15 min walk to the seaside. There are few restaurants and a supermarket in front of the hostel • staff: kind an supportive my background: I travel 320 days a year since 8 years staying in all range of accomodation from hostel to 5star. I just review objectively what I see with no judgement

The counter staff is very friendly! Always answer all our questions with a smile! We checked in around 20:30 this time and stayed for two nights. There are different activities to participate in at the Youth Hostel every day! It is recommended to stay on the day of your favorite event! My personal experience sharing: 1. The water in the bathroom is a little small, but it’s not a big problem 2. There is no storage space in the shower room, but there is a step to separate wet and dry areas. Remember to bring your own washbasin or something to wash in the bathroom. 3. The counter closes at 10 o'clock, so you can borrow a hair dryer before then. 4You need to bring your own lock to lock the lockers in the room, so remember to bring it! super clean rooms and ammenities , cool staff always helpful n super easy to make friends there for solo travellers everyone wants to have a chat, it has smaller sort of common areas so makes meeting new people so much easier, also for the shuttle n freeboard’s + breakfast n wifi . 100% coming back

The staff went above and beyond to help us when we arrived in Brisbane at 4am yesterday. Only flaws are the lack of aircon on the other side of the dorm, and requiring a passport number, but all was ok in the end. We met a fellow teddy mummy and Cuddly and I made a new friend!
