Overall, I am quite satisfied with the service. The young man received us throughout the whole process with a good attitude and awareness. The family saw us and upgraded our room for free. It is worth praising. The style is quite unique. The serviced apar**ent is modern and simple. The security is very high. You need to swipe your card. 24-hour security. The location is excellent. Our experience at this hotel could not have been better—it was truly beyond our expectations. The location is perfect, nestled in a historic house with sophisticated decor that exudes charm and elegance. The staff went above and beyond to please us, attending to every detail with care. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a delicious afternoon tea, featuring a homemade tiramisu that was absolutely delightful. The staff is well-prepared to receive foreign guests; Miss Yang, in particular, speaks excellent English and is very kind. Overall, we strongly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and exceptional stay in Zhouzhuang.

Because it was too late to decide to travel, the room booked was small and remote. The boss was very nice and enthusiastic. I stayed for two nights and directly helped me upgrade one of the bowls of parent-child rooms. There were quilt sheets on the stairs, indicating that I had to change every day. It was very clean. Breakfast had milk, porridge, corn, sweet potatoes. Tea eggs, there is dinner in the evening, we ate for one night, the fish is longer than half of the brother 😄

This is such a lovely little homestay! We struggled to find the entrance since Tencent Maps sent us a street over, but after adding them on WeChat they sent us a pin right away and helped us make it (see photo!). The room was clean, well-air-conditioned, well thought out, and we had so much fun with the Japanese toilet! My chinese is limited to basic conversation only but staff were friendly and the lady at the desk on the day we checked out showed us her newborn kittens! Super super happy all round with this stay! Note to other guests: - Taxis will have to drop you a few streets away as much of the old town's streets are too narrow for cars. - The entrance is right on the canal, not round a corner. - The door is open at all times, so don't worry if you're back late!

Facilities: Complete facilities, Danxiang C has a bathtub and a stargazing window, and there is a small courtyard where you can sit and drink tea, which is very nice. There is a projector on the second floor where you can watch movies and TV. Even in summer, you don’t have to worry about mosquitoes, as there are electric mosquito repellent liquid and electric mosquito swatters in the room. Environment: Just a little bit next to Guanqian Street, I found it quickly according to the instructions issued by the merchant. There is a subway next to it, and it is very convenient to take a taxi, not to mention that it is very convenient to eat and shop. Although it is near Guanqian Street, it is quiet in the bustling city, and the hotel is very quiet. It is very close to attractions such as Humble Administrator's Garden and Pingjiang Road, and you can walk there. Hygiene: The hygiene is great, and disposable items are provided attentively, which makes people feel at ease. Service: The merchant has a good service attitude and contacted me in advance to send me guides, etc. Overall, I highly recommend this homestay!

Suzhou Little Courtyard Inn

had such a fantastic time at this hotel! It's conveniently located just a short 10-minute stroll from the metro station, and there are tons of cool spots nearby like The North Pagoda, Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and the Suzhou Silk Museum, all within a quick 10-15 minute walk. It feels like staying in a cozy guest house nestled within a family complex. The owner, a lovely lady, is super friendly and helpful. While the room has that charming old-school vibe, it's spotlessly clean and has everything you need, even a hairdryer. It totally reminds me of my grandma's place back in the day! Plus, there's a cute little mini library with some fascinating collectibles and a cozy tea house - perfect for some Insta-worthy snaps! Oh, and watch out for the three adorable cats who love to wander around and sometimes even pop into your room for a visit! You won't go hungry here either! Right next door, there's a fabulous café, and across the street, you've got a whole lineup of local food joints. And let me tell you, don't miss out on the crab noodle spot near the traffic light - it's absolutely divine! And if you're craving some fresh fruit, just head over to the fruit stand near the small bridge. They're open late - I swung by around 11 pm and they were still going strong! Just a friendly reminder: This hotel does have its Chinese name displayed at the entrance, no English. So, make sure to remember or write down that street number to find it easily next time! And you can bet your bottom dollar that if I find myself back in Suzhou, I'll be booking a room here again without a second thought!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Suzhou Xunyi Holiday B&B, and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality and attention to detail. Comfortable and Clean Rooms: The rooms at Suzhou Xunyi are nothing short of fantastic. They are spacious, well-appointed, and meticulously clean. The comfortable beds and serene ambiance ensured a restful night’s sleep after a long day of exploring. Refreshing Swimming Pool: The outdoor swimming pool is an oasis of tranquility. Crystal clear water, surrounded by lush greenery, provides the perfect escape from everyday stress. Whether you’re doing laps or simply lounging by the pool, it’s a delightful spot to unwind. Breathtaking Views: Suzhou Xunyi’s location is a dream come true for nature enthusiasts. You can choose to climb nearby mountains or simply soak in the stunning views of the serene lake. It’s a paradise for those seeking both relaxation and adventure. Exceptional Hosts: The hosts, whom I had the pleasure of meeting, are truly remarkable. Their passion for hospitality shines through in every aspect of the B&B. They are attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about their guests’ well-being. Affordable Green Tea: I appreciated the thoughtful touch of having green tea available at a fair price. It’s a small detail, but it made my stay even more enjoyable. In summary, Suzhou Xunyi Holiday B&B is a gem. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat or an exciting mountain-climbing adventure. All the best to this wonderful hotel! Chris
Guyunfeng Hotel

In Zhouzhuang Ancient Town
My stay at Guyunfeng Hotel was a peaceful and memorable experience, made even better by the owners, who were truly amazing. They were warm, friendly, and went out of their way to help me feel comfortable. From the moment I arrived, their kindness stood out, it’s clear they genuinely care about their guests Although I didn’t receive tea along with the snacks that some other reviews mentioned, I appreciated the thoughtful gesture of the snacks I did get. Small touches like this made my stay feel personal and welcoming What I loved most about my time here was simply staying in my room and people-watching from the window. The view was a quiet kind of magic like watching daily life unfold in Zhouzhuang’s water town felt like stepping into another world. The town moves at its own pace, different from anything I’m used to, and it reminded me how refreshing it can be to slow down and truly observe If you’re looking for a place with a cozy atmosphere, wonderful hosts, and the chance to soak in the charm of Zhouzhuang, Guyunfeng Hotel is a great choice. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a small retreat where you can reconnect with the beauty of simple moments P.S. you will have to pay a ticket for 100RMB and good for 3 days. If you stay more than 3 days, you will have to pay ticket for every 3 days or so. You can buy a ticket from vending machines and have your face scanned at the security checkpoints, or buy it manually, take picture on ticket with date then show it to security guards.

We ended up giving our host the name 'Fred'... because he is truly a big friendly guy. The place might be a little rustic, but that was a big draw for us. What it lacks in facilities (not that we needed any of them), compared to a bigger hotel it more than makes up for in its intimacy and warmth of service. There is also a small tea/coffee room with the window facing the waterway - nothing fancy, but I happily spent almost an hour in there planning my day, while watching locals and the resident duck go about their day. When it came to advice, Fred was detailed, to the point of recommending us the best places to eat along the way to our destinations, what is there in the area. The room is generally clean, and so is the bed. The bathroom does have a few occasional bugs, but that is simply due to the area you're in. The tv has a good variety of movies, though everything is in Chinese (but they do have old HK comedies...a favourite of mine). The walls may be made of concrete, but noise somehow passes through, and we can hear the occupants next door in lively conversation. But other than that, I had a good night's sleep. You are literally just a few tens of meters from Pingjiang road, but far enough not to get disturbed by the nightly hustle and bustle. It is also walking distance to the Humble Administrators Garden and IM Pei's cool white building of historical Chinese things.
