Jiuhua Mountain comes as soon as you think of it! Before coming, I did some homework. There are old hotels on the mountain, and many design B&Bs have also grown up. And this one is the most emotional. As soon as the order was placed, the butler contacted us on WeChat and arranged for a car to pick us up when we reached the mountain. We ”rejected” the housekeeper's kindness and walked all the way into Jiuhua Old Street. When we were about to get lost in the dotted alleys, the B&B suddenly appeared in front of us. ”Alley”, as its name suggests, is hidden among alleys. The afternoon sun was just right. When we walked in, the snow that fell last week had not completely melted. The white walls and green tiles, a small courtyard, and a big tree shone in the warm winter sun. After getting familiar with the terrain, I found that the location of the B&B is very good, with major temples, the cable car to the Centennial Palace, and the bus to the rooftop for transfer all nearby. What also left a deep impression on me were the three young girls in the B&B. They were full of laughter, very cute, and felt like family.

You can truly feel that this isn't just a perfunctory business operation; they've truly dedicated themselves to creating an exceptional product and service. The furnishings and daily amenities in the rooms are of high quality, and everything is meticulously maintained, clean, and elegant. Fresh flowers adorn every corner, both indoors and out in the courtyard. Nestled against the mountain, enveloped by mist and clouds, the entire hotel exudes a unique tranquility found only in the mountains and forests—peaceful and restorative. Every staff member here looks relaxed and treats guests with warmth and enthusiasm. There's no forced politeness, just perfectly attentive service. My personal butler was especially thoughtful, always anticipating my minor needs in advance, making me feel completely at ease and well cared for. I wasn't feeling well and casually mentioned wanting some millet porridge. They went out of their way to arrange it. These small acts of kindness are what truly touch the heart. They say Shilin Cliffs is the best hotel in Huangshan, and experiencing it firsthand, I now understand that this reputation is well-deserved. The price is indeed on the higher side, but all the wonderful experiences complement each other perfectly. The excellent environment, thoughtful details, and attentive service all justify the cost. It’s rare to find such a comfortable and soothing haven in the mountains, a place to slow down and find peace. It was a comfortable and truly healing stay, and when I return to Huangshan in the future, I will choose this place again.

The best 4 days ever! Highly recommend this hotel! We were a group of 8 people and had an unforgettable stay here. The hotel owner is one of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly, gave us great local recommendations, and even personally drove us to each destination! On the day we went hiking in the mountains, he provided us with free walking sticks. He helped us with everything — arranging transfers, buying entrance tickets, and planning the route. He also allowed us to check in early and check out late, which was incredibly convenient. I shared room 8303 with my friend. The room is designed for two people and had two separate beds, both very comfortable to sleep in. There was also an air conditioner in the room, which made our stay even more pleasant. Another thing we’re super grateful for — the owner kindly let us do laundry. After hiking in the mountains, our clothes definitely needed it! The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, full of natural light, and have plenty of power outlets. The showers were great, with clean water and convenient showerheads. There were all the necessary toiletries: body soap, shampoo — we recommend bringing your own conditioner if needed. The hotel can also prepare food for guests. We really enjoyed the tomato and egg noodles — delicious and homey. There’s also a local café nearby where we had breakfast a few times. The hotel is located in the mountains, perfectly positioned for visiting nearby attractions, waterfalls, hiking spots, and even riding quad bikes. A tip: bring a good quality raincoat if you’re visiting during rainy weather! The owner speaks basic English, and even though it wasn’t easy for him, he patiently explained everything to us in English with so much kindness and care. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable — even helped us search for a lost phone in the mountains! He also called us in advance before our arrival to confirm our plans and helped arrange a transfer to the train station after check-out. It's a little far from Namdaemun, about ten minutes' drive, but the owner of the B&B is very nice, pick up and drop off. I arrived a day in advance and wanted to store my luggage up the mountain. I called and he immediately drove to move my luggage. It was very quick, so it's no problem if you don't drive yourself. The room is relatively new and clean, and there is a large terrace. Next to it is a small river with very clear water. The environment feels better than some hotels at the foot of the mountain. The breakfast is relatively simple, and you can add more if it's not enough. I just came back from climbing the mountain and I was not feeling well and wanted to eat something light. Overall, I still recommend it

I was attracted by the pictures, but I was a little disappointed by this homestay in the ancient town. After all, you can stay in a very good hotel in Wuhu at this price. Let's talk about the general environment of the ancient town first. It is said that tickets are charged on holidays. Few shops are open at night, and there are few people in the morning. It is said that there are performances, but there is nothing suitable for children after looking at the program list. Many shops are closed, and the streets with closed doors can also show that they were once prosperous. It should be good. Let's talk about the hotel. The room area is OK and the environment is generally good, but my child is afraid of the slide and thinks it is too steep. I tried it myself and it was true, so I lost one of the fun of booking this room. The breakfast is really incomparable to star hotels. It is matched by the owner himself. I saw the reviews before that the small animals that can be fed were only empty cages. There was a cat. The baby could only play with the cat for a while. On the way to the room, I had to pass the cat house. The smell almost made me faint. There are also advantages. In terms of service, the boss contacted in advance. When I arrived, the boss went to the door to pick up the tickets in person. There were several times in the middle when the remote control and bed sheets were replaced. The boss solved it quickly. The owner of the B&B is indeed very responsive to the guests' service and has a very good attitude. The air conditioning in the room is very powerful, the terrace is quite comfortable, and it feels good to sit on the terrace as the sun sets. Overall, I gave it a score of four, and I hope it can be better. Or the price can be more affordable.

My stay at Luming Valley Hotspring Holidays B&B exceeded every expectation from the moment we drove up the hill. My husband and I stayed in the Mountainscape Terrace Mountain View Suite, which genuinely felt like a 5‑star hotel room. It was spotless, beautifully furnished, and equipped with an incredibly comfortable bed, a fully stocked mini fridge, and a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The smart controls operated by “Xiao Bao” were a fun and convenient touch. We were completely blown away and honestly wished we could have stayed in the room forever. Even before our arrival, the staff communicated with us via WeChat to ensure everything went smoothly. We were able to speak with an English‑speaking staff member who took care of every detail for us—booking the hot springs, arranging breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea, and even offering to help us get to the train station on our last day. Their attentiveness went far beyond anything we’ve experienced at other hotels. We were even given a thoughtful bag of gifts upon departure. Because the hotel is quite isolated, we ate all our meals on-site. The cuisine is Chinese, which isn’t usually my preference, but everything was delicious, freshly prepared, and presented with great care. A standout was the afternoon tea we enjoyed on our second day. We could choose to dine in our room or at the restaurant, which was perfect depending on how we felt each day. The highlight of our stay was definitely the hot springs. There are four in total, and we used the two located higher on the hill, which offered an incredible view—even on a cloudy day. The temperature was perfect, and everything was exceptionally clean. The staff assured us that each pool is drained and refilled after every use, which gave us great peace of mind. Soaking in the hot springs in the heart of winter, surrounded by Huangshan’s beautiful mountains, was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is about an hour from both Huangshanxi and Huangshanbei stations and easily reachable by car or Didi. Due to the weather, we didn’t visit the mountain scenic area, but the staff were more than willing to help us plan if we wanted to explore the surroundings. This was truly a 10/10 stay. The staff make you feel like you’re the only guests there with their warmth and attentiveness. The design and architecture are stunning, and the hotel even smells amazing. I have absolutely no complaints and would rank this among the best hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. It’s a perfect romantic getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. I can’t wait to return!

My stay in Tingquan Xiaoyuan has been absolutely delightful. I booked a long stay here as a retreat and break from the work and it is exactly everything I need to unwind and recharge. The guesthouse ran by a husband and wife team are so hospitable and go the extra mile to make sure my stay here is relaxing and I have everything I need to work and go about my day. The room i am staying in is very brightly lighted with a desk for me to work. I have to say the bed is also very comfortable and I have been sleeping well every night. The surrounding is so peaceful and tranquil, with gardens and flowers and mountain peaks in the distance. I am rather glad I am staying here in the valley instead of near the centre. In terms of service, the boss is very helpful and responsive to my messages when we need to ask any question or require a pick up after the hikes. The lady boss is similarly extremely friendly, warm and kind and ensure my needs and well being is looked after every day. She cared for me like her own family. I really appreciate them going the extra mile to help a foreigner like me who struggle with the language. I would strongly recommend this lovely and cosy guesthouse to any local and foreigner who is looking for an amazing visit to Huangshan for a few days or up to a month. They will ensure you are well taken care of and your stay is absolutely delightful.

I'd been longing to visit Huangshan for ages, and this time, my dream finally came true. I arrived a day early, planning to head straight up the mountain, but I hadn't checked the cable car operating hours. So, I had to find last-minute accommodation at the foot of the mountain. Tangkou Town was packed with guesthouses along the streets, which felt a bit overwhelming. I decided to search for B&Bs on the outskirts of town instead and immediately fell in love with this one. The pure white walls and bright, clean rooms gave the whole place a gentle, relaxing vibe. Many guests praised the auntie's cooking, so I booked it right away. My stay certainly didn't disappoint; both dinners were absolutely delicious – we polished off every dish. The taste was truly amazing. The room was spacious and grand, and the owner even kindly upgraded my room for free. Opening the window, I faced a vast bamboo forest. The evening breeze rustled through the bamboo shoots, and sleeping to the gentle sound of the bamboo was incredibly soothing. There's a path behind the B&B that leads directly to the mountain entrance, and they even have their own tea garden. Before dinner, the owner unhurriedly set up a tea ceremony, explaining the three famous Huangshan teas in detail: the fresh and tender Huangshan Maofeng, the straight and long-lasting Taiping Houkui, and the mellow and rich Qimen Black Tea. There was also the unique Kuibai – made from Houkui fresh leaves using Qimen black tea processing, offering a distinctive flavor. My favorite quote from the owner was: 'When guests arrive, I wholeheartedly take care of travelers from all directions; when I have free time, I make sure to enjoy myself.' No rushed itineraries, no crowds – just stealing a half-day of tranquility at this bamboo forest teahouse. This is the beauty of slowing down at the foot of the mountain.

A lovely opportunity to experience Chinese hospitality. I stayed with my cat and we felt very welcome. The owner is very attentive and looks well after his guests. It is good to know that the reception is in the 3rd floor. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. A quiet area and house, just perfect if you need a good rest or travel with an anxious pet.

This guesthouse is located right inside the scenic area, making it super convenient for resting after an evening stroll. The decor is charmingly traditional, perfectly complementing the Huizhou architectural style. The guesthouse itself feels like an integral part of the scenic area, featuring a garden restaurant and a coffee bar where you can even pet cats. The owner is fantastic, offering luggage pickup and drop-off services right from the bus station. It's a highly recommended place to stay.
