tung tung shamDuring my recent trip to Florence, I had the pleasure of staying at the Anglo American Hotel. Overall, my experience at this hotel was delightful, and I would gladly recommend it to fellow travelers.
First and foremost, the location of the Anglo American Hotel is superb. Situated in the heart of Florence, it offers easy access to the city's major attractions, including the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Uffizi Gallery. The hotel's central location made it convenient for me to explore the city on foot and truly immerse myself in its rich history and culture.
The hotel itself has a charming and elegant ambiance. The interior is tastefully decorated, combining classic elements with modern touches. The common areas, such as the lobby and lounge, are inviting and provide a comfortable space to relax after a day of sightseeing.
The staff at the Anglo American Hotel deserves special praise. From the moment I arrived, they were friendly, professional, and attentive. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests I had, and their local knowledge and recommendations were invaluable in helping me navigate the city and discover hidden gems.
My room at the hotel was spacious and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the room amenities, including a flat-screen TV and minibar, met my expectations. The cleanliness and tidiness of the room were maintained throughout my stay, thanks to the diligent housekeeping staff.
While the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, it does offer a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. The breakfast spread was varied and catered to different tastes and dietary preferences. I particularly enjoyed the freshly baked pastries and the selection of local cheeses and cured meats.
One minor drawback was the absence of a fitness center or spa facilities within the hotel. However, the staff was helpful in providing information about nearby fitness centers and wellness options, ensuring that guests have access to these amenities if desired.
In summary, my stay at the Anglo American Hotel Florence was a delightful experience. The prime location, attentive staff, and comfortable accommodations contributed to a memorable visit to this beautiful city. While the absence of certain amenities was a minor drawback, it did not significantly impact my overall satisfaction with the hotel. I would recommend the Anglo American Hotel to travelers seeking a centrally located, well-appointed hotel with a charming ambiance in Florence.

The hotel is located in a very small town. The hotel itself is good. I got a new room, there was no noise. Very clean, cleaned every day. Of the shortcomings I can note: no shampoo, a poorly working refrigerator and no glasses in the room.
I asked for glasses at the reception, they sent me to the bar, where they gave me plastic glasses.... I took glass ones myself, since I do not drink from plastic.
The hotel and Tirrenia itself are an ideal place to distance yourself from the world. Life in the city freezes at 8-9 o'clock. There is nowhere to go.
A good supermarket and several restaurants are a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The food in none of them was particularly impressive.
The sea is gorgeous. Very clean. The beach is also kept clean.
Pisa is a half-hour bus ride from the hotel. There is nothing to do there, except for visiting the tower, but it is not long - 30 minutes maximum.
Thank you for the rest.

A truly excellent hotel chain. Free parking, quick check-in, and no problem with children. It has an outdoor pool and is a 10-minute drive from the city. Highly recommended.

Anonymous UserI was caught in a heavy downpour and completely soaked when I went to pick up my luggage after checking out. I was really struggling, so I truly appreciated being offered a towel and a hairdryer. Thank you very much.
However, in the room, only one power outlet seemed to be working, which was inconvenient. Also, there was a leak in the bathroom sink.

Honestly, this was the best hotel of our trip, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Florence.
**Facilities**: The room design is great, and those facing the street even have small balconies.
**Cleanliness**: Spotless, no complaints.
**Environment**: The hotel's location is a bit tricky if you're driving. While it's not actually *in* the ZTL, it's right next to it, making it easy to accidentally drive into the restricted zone. Also, the trams outside can be a bit noisy, but it's fine once you close the windows and doors.
**Service**: The service was a bit slow-paced. I had to complete check-in before I could even access the parking lot, which was a bit inconvenient.
Overall, the hotel's design is excellent and I highly recommend it.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, making it incredibly convenient for accessing the city center and numerous popular attractions. Its proximity to the train station is a huge plus for travelers, offering fantastic transport links. I particularly recommend the hotel's rooftop bar; the sunset views from there are absolutely stunning and definitely worth enjoying with a drink – the atmosphere is superb. Overall, the hotel facilities are quite good, including a gym and a sauna. However, there were a couple of minor downsides during my stay:
* **Small room size:** Once luggage was opened, the room felt a bit cramped.
* **Inconvenient sauna use:** When we wanted to use the sauna, the equipment was turned off. We had to specifically inform the front desk to switch it on, and then wait for it to heat up, which was quite inconvenient. I suggest the hotel could improve the regular operation of this facility.
Overall, the transport and views here are outstanding, but there's still room for improvement regarding service details and room space.

1. The room was generally comfortable, not as run-down as some reviews suggested. The bathroom was probably renovated, but the room itself was the same as before; it wasn't dark or damp. Note that the air conditioner requires the windows to be closed to turn on.
2. The location isn't ideal for those wanting to explore Florence city. You have to transfer between T2 and R1. It seems like this hotel is for locals vacationing in the Prato suburbs. Also, the R1 transfer is quite late, and the long intervals can be inconvenient for women or those without a car. (Taxi fares in Italy are either exorbitant or they won't accept rides 🤪)
3. The scenery was beautiful, resembling California scenery, and great for photos.
4. I tried to use the microwave for a fee, but the restaurant staff politely but coldly refused. The staff at check-out were also cold yet polite 😊hhhh, I guess that's their local etiquette.
However, the staff at check-in were very welcoming.
5. The breakfast was average, with a moderate variety and decent taste. Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience the swimming pool.

I have spend three nights at this hotel. Remarkably easy to do self check-in as I came after reception was closed. Gabriel at the reception was very detailed and caring. Location: quiet neighborhood but only 15 mins walk from downtown, this combination was perfect for me. AC was next to the window, cold air from the side, which created comfortable temperature in the room without coming down directly at bed
