Excellent housekeeping service! The room was impeccably clean, fresh, and well-maintained throughout my stay. The housekeeping staff especially Selvianah Albar, showed great attention to detail and professionalism. Their dedication made my stay truly comfortable and enjoyable. I have stayed in this hotel before and this time round I chose to stay in this hotel. It was a good selection because it’s convenient for my business purposes. It’s close to the airport and easy to grab rides. However, this time round the room was not up to par because the air-conditioning was not working in pristine condition, room felt rather warm.

This hotel boasts an excellent location with superb transportation links, making taxi rides to and from the airport incredibly convenient. Just a few hundred meters across the street, you'll find a large local shopping mall, and it's also very close to Gaya Street. The area offers a mature range of amenities, and the breakfast selection is diverse and good. Overall, my stay was very satisfying.

About a 15-minute walk from Gaya Street, this hotel is conveniently located right across from Welcome Seafood Restaurant. There's also a 7-Eleven and a few other restaurants nearby, making dining options really easy. Overall, it's a good spot.

The front desk service was excellent! I'd recommend upgrading to the premium twin room; the standard twin is too small. The pictures show the premium twin, which is comparable to a new Hanting hotel in China. The location is also very convenient, with lots of great food nearby. For seafood, I highly recommend Kk Garden Seafood! It's fresh and affordable. For fried chicken, try KFC – it's different from the one in China and much better than the other trendy Southeast Asian fried chicken spots.

The room was great, definitely on par with a 5-star hotel in China. They even had Chinese power strips in the room, so no need for an adapter, which was super convenient. I highly recommend this hotel, it's a really good one.

Came here specifically for the 'Hilton' name, haha. When traveling, it's always better to stick with brands you're familiar with. The room was decent, nothing spectacular but perfectly fine. Breakfast had a good variety of options, and there was even a server who showed you to your table. As for the location, it's right next to a famous internet-famous restaurant, but as an introvert, I didn't bother waiting in line. Guess I'll save that for my next visit, haha.

Stayed at Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu recently and had a really enjoyable experience. The location is excellent — right opposite the waterfront and within walking distance to the seafood market, malls, and many food spots. The sea view from the room was amazing, especially during sunset. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast spread was good with plenty of choices, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The pool and rooftop area were also very relaxing after a long day out. Overall, a great hotel for both leisure and short getaway trips in Kota Kinabalu. Would definitely stay here again!

AAnonymous UserIf you are in the area to visit the KKIP industrial zone, the Klagen Regency is perfectly positioned. It is located quite a distance from the main town center, which may seem remote at first, but it is a strategic advantage if you want to avoid a long daily commute to your work sites. The hotel itself is impressively well-kept. It’s clear that management prioritizes maintenance, as the rooms and common areas feel fresh and clean. The service is equally commendable; the staff are helpful and ensure a smooth, professional experience from check-in to check-out. Sorry I does not have the photo of the room because I am there for a business meeting but the room is okay to stay. Buffet Breakfast is good, also you can find very nice local food with walking distance .

CChanger YipI chose this hotel because it's the closest to the beach with the best views, perfect for sunset watching, and indeed, the sunsets were spectacular! It's also very close to the airport. The room had a fantastic view. While the facilities felt a bit dated, it didn't detract from the overall vacation vibe. There's an ice machine on every floor, which was great for drinks. The heated pool was a nice touch, and the breakfast restaurant was huge with a wide variety of options. Because it's so large, getting from the Tanjung wing to the lobby was a bit of a walk. Also, on the fourth floor, the roof can slightly obstruct wide-angle photos. Overall, it offered a wonderful resort experience, and finding the hotel for Grab pickups was easy.

KKT5009Don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season. It's from Sep to Feb. I said 3 times it's important if you don't wanna ruin your holiday. We booked 3D2N in mid Sep. Our holiday turned out to be a staycation nightmare in the resort. We can't do all the water activities neither the jungle trekking. The water heater in our room is not working, we have to shower with shivering cold water in this kind of weather. Lots of big size anta inside the room crawling from the bathroom to the bedroom. Make sure you cleaned up for your snacks and drinks, tie up the garbage bag if you don't want these insects to come to your bed, There is also a landslide happening on our first night, luckily we are not affected as we stayed in the ocean villa. There is only one restaurant in this resort, food prices are the same as SG restaurant pricing, no cheap option here. In room dining needs to pay RM25 extra. Staff service is good but this cannot cover the several run down part of the resort.

BBrendon VI had an amazing experience at this hotel. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, expect the toilet is sharing and it's very dirty!. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The location was perfect, and the view from my room was absolutely stunning — one of the highlights of my stay. Everything about this hotel felt high-quality, and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

LLove CoffeeMy first stay here and I think would be my last too. Was actually requested a quiet room but still giving the room which facing the contrustion site. Noise of the construction site was up to 10pm+ and 5am+ the prayer from the nearby mosque will make you jump! Impressive with the location but not the room. Furnitures in room quite old but still acceptable, but cleanliness and maintenance was terrible. 1) Water leaks out from shower room to walkway via the wall. 2) Old and dirty toilet with mold 3) Malfunctioning light bulb 4) Stains on the towel ( sticky like chocolate, like unwashed) 5) Ants on table & bed! 6) Loosen door lock 7) Dirty chair

RReeseDI only realized after checking in that this wasn't the ”most beautiful sunset” Shangri-La that's so famous online. This one is outside the city, but it's still a great resort. While the hotel is overall quite dated, the staff are very warm and friendly, and they have a heated pool. You can go to the mountains in the morning to see animals, but remember to book in advance due to limited spots. Most guests are Westerners and Chinese. It's not as photogenic as the other Shangri-La, but it's perfect for a relaxed, leisurely vacation.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this resort. The resort is very beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The staff were friendly and kind, and they even provided an extra bed for my kids, which made our stay more comfortable. The beachfront location is amazing and very convenient for kids to do snorkeling safely. I also love that there were no sandflies, so it felt safe and comfortable for my children. The breakfast was delicious with many good choices. The environment was calm, quiet, and not noisy at all perfect for relaxing and also very suitable for honeymoon couples. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come again.

GGuest UserI contacted the hotel via WhatsApp 3 days before check-in, and they replied very quickly. They even called me back, and the communication was very smooth. The boat departs from the jetty at 1:30 PM, but when we arrived at 12:30 PM, the boat was already waiting. Someone helped us with our luggage when we boarded. Later, we found out they weren't hotel staff, so we tipped each of them RM5. The hotel's check-out time is 10 AM, and the latest guests can leave by boat is 11 AM because the boat cannot sail after low tide. So, no late check-outs are possible. On the way there, it was high tide, and the boat sailed over shallow waters. The 'jelly sea' was absolutely stunning. My initial apprehension instantly turned into pure delight – it was so worth it! We were 6 adults and 3 children. We originally booked one triple fan room and one quintuple fan room. Because I didn't want a corner room, and the quintuple room was in the westernmost corner, and since there weren't many guests during the off-peak season (we practically had the place to ourselves, which was a pleasant surprise!), the hotel generously gave us an additional triple room and upgraded all our rooms to air-conditioned ones. Another great surprise! Actually, the sea breeze was strong, and opening the window with a fan was already very comfortable, so we didn't really need the air conditioning. In fact, after snorkeling, we found it too cold in the room, so we promptly turned off the AC. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. The quintuple room was newer, while the two triple rooms were smaller and older. However, the sea view was so beautiful, and given the great value for money, these minor issues were acceptable. The hotel owner was also very accommodating and gave us keys to a few rooms, letting us choose which ones we wanted. Since the quintuple room was on the western side, the sunset views were spectacular. My friends even saw sea turtles twice from their room at night. After watching the sunrise, we walked to the easternmost part of the hotel. There's a bridge there that's perfect for photos, and we kept seeing sea turtles, which was such an amazing surprise! We saw about 7-8 sea turtles intermittently, and they were huge! It might have been the start of low tide, and they were all swimming towards the deep sea. This must be a common path for them, and it was the biggest highlight of our trip. The hotel has Wi-Fi and accepts TNG for payment. The round-trip boat ticket costs RM100, and children ride for free. Life jackets are RM5, and swimming rings are RM10 (no time limit). The hotel's snorkeling masks were broken and unavailable for rent, so it's best to bring your own. The sea has lots of corals, starfish, and fish, making it excellent for snorkeling. Bring extra bread to feed the fish. The hotel doesn't provide bottled water or hair dryers, but there's hot water and tea bags. Dinner was local Malay food, which might not suit everyone's palate, but we found it quite good, and the fish was cooked tenderly. The simple breakfast included delicious fried rice noodles. We also brought some chocolates and instant cereal/drink mixes to prepare with the hotel's hot water. There's also free karaoke and Lami mahjong, though they can only be used until 11 PM. The karaoke is a new facility, only 4 months old, and the sound system is excellent. The Lami mahjong set was brand new. In summary: Although the hotel is a bit old, the sea is incredibly beautiful, and we even saw sea turtles. For the price, it offers great value. Overall, I highly recommend it.

GGuest UserThe closest hotel to the pier, hands down. I don't know how the ratings are calculated... I'm not judging it by domestic standards; when in Rome, do as the Romans do. Local facilities just aren't that great. Based on what I saw online, I thought it would be terrible, but the room was surprisingly clean. Although there's nowhere to hang clothes to dry, I'd advise anyone who loves going out to sea and exploring the pier to stay close by. The front desk staff were also great; they have a WeChat for communication and translation. Don't bother looking at the negative reviews or the ratings. I stayed in town for 6 days, and the first place, which had the highest rating, was personally the worst.
