I highly recommend Huangshan Baiyun Hotel – it's the pinnacle of mountain-top accommodation! Its location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Tianhai, close to Bright Summit, Aoyu Peak, and the West Sea Grand Canyon. You won't have to travel far to catch the sunrise, saving you time and effort. The rooms are clean and dry, the bedding is comfortable, and the amenities are comprehensive. They've thought of every detail, like complimentary down jackets, shoe dryers, and foot-soaking tubs, which completely alleviate the fatigue of climbing. The butler service is incredibly warm; they'll remind you of sunrise times and help plan your routes with a gentle and professional attitude. The buffet offers a rich variety of dishes and is great value for money. To find such accommodation and service high up in the mountains truly exceeded my expectations. If you're heading to Huangshan, book this without hesitation!

I stayed at this hotel twice within ten days, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The breakfast had a great variety and was served for a long time. The location is superb, right in the middle of the pedestrian street, and all the nearby attractions are easily accessible. The room was clean, well-lit, and the linens were new and very clean, making for a comfortable stay. The room was also very quiet, and drinking water was freely available. The hotel even offers afternoon tea and a late-night snack, which really shows their dedication. What particularly impressed me was this afternoon when I received a call from the hotel. They asked about a skincare sample I had left behind. It was something I didn't want and had forgotten to throw away. The hotel found it and immediately called me to inform me of the forgotten item. I quickly told them I didn't need it. Their incredibly responsible and attentive service is truly commendable.

Facilities: Excellent
Cleanliness: Spotless
Environment: Great
Service: Outstanding! I had a fever after a long hike, and they thoughtfully prepared cold medicine for me. The restaurant also had ginger tea, which was a very nice touch. The food here is also really good! You can even adjust the taste to your liking, which is fantastic for someone particular about their food! Overall, it was very nice and superb.

The facilities are complete, odorless, and relatively clean. The mini-bar drinks in the room are complimentary. Upon check-in, they provided slippers and a kaleidoscope for the child, as well as a welcome fruit platter. When checking out, we received a bag of souvenirs. The restaurant on the first floor offers a wide variety of dishes, and all the staff, from the front desk to the restaurant, are incredibly friendly. Thumbs up! 👍
My child had a great time! 🥳
Food delivery is brought up to the room by a robot, which is a nice touch. It would be even better if the scent in the hallway was a bit milder.

I'm giving this five stars.
First, let me address the downsides:
1. Hotels in Huangshan are incredibly expensive during holidays. It was 2000 RMB a night during the Qingming Festival. The buffet is 180 RMB, and kids under 140cm are half price. So, check your wallet first.
2. This hotel is great for kids, but there's no elevator, so seniors will have to walk up several flights of stairs.
Now for the advantages:
1. It's expensive for a reason. Firstly, the hotel is relatively new and well-equipped. You have to remember that Bright Summit is at an altitude of 1860 meters, and all along the way, I saw porters carrying supplies. It's incredibly difficult to transport so many goods to the mountaintop. During holidays, when it's crowded, finding a comfortable hotel and spending two days hiking Huangshan is truly rejuvenating.
2. The kids loved it! The hotel has a great design. Right outside our room on the fourth floor, there was a Mario character sitting there, which my son adored. The arcade machines in the lobby are free, and kids were constantly gathered around them. Even adults from the '80s generation would spend ages playing.
3. I thought the 180 RMB buffet was pretty good; all the dishes tasted great. The cured meats like bacon and sausage were very authentic, and there was fermented tofu (Mao Doufu) and many other local specialties. The food was genuinely delicious. After a day of hiking, you're ravenous, and I ate a lot of short ribs, prawns, and warm kudzu powder (with a bit of fried rice, honey, and raisins – a real comfort for my stomach). I especially loved their pie-like pastry; it was so good, with preserved vegetables inside and what seemed like highland barley flour for the crust. My son is 140cm, so he got half price, making it 270 RMB for both of us, which is actually cheaper than ordering à la carte outside.
4. Originally, I wanted to stay at Bright Summit and Baiyun Pavilion to catch the sunrise. However, Danxia Peak near Paiyunlou offers excellent sunrise and sunset views, and crucially, it's less crowded and very close by. The hotel's 'little butler' (concierge) told me the sunrise and sunset times, with a 55% chance of seeing them. We were incredibly lucky during our stay and witnessed both morning and evening, leaving very satisfied.
5. From here, the next day, you can go to the West Sea Grand Canyon, take the small train, and then head down the mountain.

The hotel service was excellent ✌️ The environment is great, right across from the Kangxi River. Facilities are complete, and breakfast is plentiful. The room was also cleaned very well. Christmas is coming, and the hotel decoration has a lovely Christmas atmosphere. I'll definitely come again! So good, so good!

I booked this room by chance, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! I arrived at Huangshan North Station around 3 PM and was debating whether to stay at the foot of the mountain or on it. I called the front desk, and they patiently guided me. Their sincerity convinced me to stay on the mountain. I checked in a few days before the May Day holiday, so there weren't too many people. The hotel facilities were quite good, especially considering its mountain location – excellent value for money! After checking in, Dreamland of the Brush and Monkey Gazing at the Sea were right outside the hotel, which was very convenient. At 8:30 PM, the hotel staff even put on a performance of Huizhou lion dances, fish lanterns, and dragon dances for us, making guests feel right at home. The butler also thoughtfully informed us about the weather conditions and dining tips. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great, and it rained the next day, so my wish to see the sunrise couldn't be fulfilled. A small regret to save for my next visit!

I booked this hotel with a 'let's see' attitude and was pleasantly surprised upon arrival – it's really good! The decor is quite upscale, and the room size is generous. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, though the toiletries could be slightly better. The mattress is super comfortable, and I appreciated the latex pillows. Since it was hot during the May Day holiday, I felt the duvet was a bit thick, but with the AC on, it was fine. The windows, likely for safety reasons, can't be opened by guests; you have to call staff to open them. I'd suggest adding screens to the windows for an even better experience. I'll definitely stay here again when I visit Wuhu. The front desk staff, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were all wonderful and made me feel right at home.

The hotel has been newly renovated, and the facilities are quite complete. However, it's a hotel converted from an office building, so the soundproofing isn't great; I could clearly hear conversations from next door. The location is pretty good though – just 100 meters out, cross the sky bridge at night, and there's a street food night market.
The cleanliness was decent, but the bathroom had a slight odor when I first entered the room.
The environment was okay.
The service was enthusiastic. Even though I arrived early and my reserved room wasn't ready, they offered to upgrade my room if I waited half an hour. In the end, it was still the room I originally booked, which wasn't a big deal. However, the noise from conversations and laughter next door at noon made it impossible to rest. After only a few minutes in the room, I asked to switch, and they eventually moved me to a room with a mahjong machine.

GGuest UserThis was my first time staying at a Mercure hotel and I was not disappointed. This new hotel opened in April. I usually stay at less expensive hotels but I was attending a festival at Luogang Central Park and wanted to find accommodations nearby. It was a short walk from the hotel door to the festival gates. I could see the stages from my room.
The service at the hotel was the best that I have ever encountered. I was immediately greeted by the guest services agents. Sally, the front office manager, assisted me as I checked in. She speaks excellent English. Sally assisted me by entering the hotel address and room number into *******. The food was delivered to my room by robot. Sally and the staff at the front desk made sure that everything about my stay was as perfect as it could be. On day two, I ordered ******* again. The food never arrived. As I do not know any Chinese, Sally helped me by talking to the vendor and delivery driver. She spent two days (even after I had checked out and gone home) to make sure that I got a full refund from *******. For some reason, I could not rent a phone charger from the machine in the lobby (that is a problem on my end not a problem with the machine). One of the guest services agents on duty rented the charger for me and I paid her when I returned the charger.
My room was beautiful! I had a corner room with windows on two sides. I enjoyed a long soak in the tub each day. The toilet came with a remote control that I translated. There were a few minor things about the room that could be improved. 1. The refrigerator was stocked with free beverages. However, there were no sugar free sodas. The water bottles are smaller than what I am used to and there were only two bottles of regular drinking water in the room. The maid and front desk were happy to supply me with more when asked. 2. The telephone sits on the bedside table that is in the far corner of the room. You have to walk around the bed to reach it. The phone would be more accessible on the side of the bed closer to the sitting area. I don't usually use the hotel phone but you do get a call when the robot comes to your door. 3. To open and close the curtains, you press the button next to the bed. The corner room has large windows on both walls. There is no way to only open the curtain on one side of the room. The morning sun was too strong from one window so I used a chair to prop open the curtains on the other window. 4. There is a lack of foreign programming on the television. Other hotel chains that I use have a free English movie station like HBO or Cine-Max. I travel with a USB stick that has some movies saved on it in case the hotel does not offer such programming. However, the original TV remote is not supplied in the room and there is no way to change the TV input from their satellite box to the USB port. I did not have my laptop with me. I inquired with Sally at the front desk but there was nothing that she could do. There was an option to order pay per view movies. 5. The next problem is my error. I put the paper do not disturb sign on the door. I did not realize that there was also a button on the light switch that turns on a green light outside of the door when you want the room cleaned. I accidentally turned on the light. The maid walked in on me without knocking first. She was very kind and apologetic.
I did not use all hotel amenities. I did enjoy the wine, coffee, and snacks in the front lobby. I also ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant each day. There was a nice variety on the breakfast buffet that changed daily. I found the laundry room to be clean and comfortable with a small sitting area. It is located near the fitness room and restaurant.
I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again if I am in the area. The small issues that I mentioned above are just minor inconveniences and nothing that can't be corrected or worked around. Based on my stay here, I would also try other Mercure hotels when traveling.
GGuest UserThe location is okay for concerts, about a 30-minute walk. However, there is construction nearby, which makes it noisy. The renovation is probably quite old, and some of the design is not very reasonable. There is no full-length mirror, and the sink does not have a trash can. Also, people will slip small cards into the room at night. The room itself is quite large.

TTangshengshengAfter spending two days at the top of Huangshan, I returned and stayed here again, and it felt even more comfortable. The hotel is very close to Yuping Cableway, with a shortcut staircase just a few minutes' walk away, allowing you to avoid the shuttle buses. It's also very near the Ciguang Pavilion hiking entrance, again with a shortcut staircase for direct hiking. This makes it perfect for guests who want to explore Huangshan in depth.
The hotel boasts beautiful scenery and an artistic design. You can see the majestic Tiandu Peak and the spectacular Renzi Waterfall, and at night, you fall asleep to the sound of flowing water. The butler service was excellent – very responsive, accommodating every request, and able to arrange everything in advance. Thumbs up!
The driver was very skilled, navigating the mountain roads smoothly without causing any motion sickness, and provided timely pick-ups and drop-offs at the high-speed rail station. Thumbs up!
The tea from the lady at the tea room was delightful and refreshing. Thumbs up!
The restaurant food was delicious, and the chef's skills were top-notch. Thumbs up! The waitstaff were also very pleasant. Thumbs up! Housekeeping was prompt and the room was very clean. Thumbs up! I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Huangshan.
YYang0715I took my parents to stay in Cuiwei, the largest twin bed on the first floor. It was very convenient without climbing stairs. Although it was raining, it was not cold at all with floor heating. And you can see the quiet little courtyard when you open the door. The furnishings in the store are very beautiful. It feels that the owner has put a lot of thought into it. The housekeeper is very attentive. Every time you sit down, black tea, tangerine peel, melon seeds and fresh fruits are served. There are also very cute cultural and creative products for sale in the store. I like it so much
GGuest UserA dreamy mountain retreat above the clouds, a healing journey far exceeding expectations.
**Superb Location**: The B&B is nestled at the foot of Lion Peak, at an altitude of 1630 meters, adjacent to sunrise viewing spots like Monkey Gazing at the Sea and Qingliang Terrace. Staying here, a mere 20-minute walk grants you the magnificent, private spectacle of the Huangshan Shixin Peak sunrise. Sunsets can be enjoyed right from the hotel's observation deck. The mountain path is serene, winding through pine forests, with birdsong welcoming you and squirrels awaiting guests as they ascend the steps. The picturesque experience of a mountain journey is fully realized here. I heard Xu Xiake once visited this very spot twice, admiring the same cliff-top scenery as us.
**Stunning Design**: The 400-year-old Red Temple beautifully intertwines with modern glass villas, a perfect fusion of Zen aesthetics and contemporary comfort. Situated next to ancient cliff carvings, a vast platform offers views of the sun, moon, and stars, and the whispering pines across myriad valleys. The entire hotel has nine rooms; we stayed in 'Yunshu,' which features underfloor heating and floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing you to witness the rolling sea of clouds and pines without leaving your room, and even glimpse the 'Flying Stone' from 'Dream of the Red Chamber' in the distance.
**Heartwarming Service**: The butler-style service was incredibly attentive, from pre-booking tickets and cable cars to seamless greetings and farewells throughout our stay. We felt a warm and genuine welcome and send-off. The staff were enthusiastic and thoughtful, organizing cultural activities such as tea ceremonies, singing bowl therapy, writing spring couplets, and fish lantern making. The cleanliness was impeccable, every corner spotless and flawless. The evening turndown service thoughtfully included white noise, and the wardrobe was specially stocked with down jackets and windbreakers for early morning sunrise outings.
**Dining Delight**: Considering all supplies are carried up the mountain by hand, the culinary offerings were astonishing. Dinner was exquisite, like rare delicacies. Our stay coincided with the first day of the Chinese New Year, so we specially ordered the 'Mengchun Feast.' Every ingredient was fresh and sweet, especially the improved 'Yipin Pot' and the freshly cooked mandarin fish, leaving the essence and festive flavor of Anhui cuisine in our taste memory. The cheerful young server in the restaurant told us many interesting stories and traditional customs of celebrating New Year in Huizhou during our meal.
In summary, this guesthouse is a 'destination' worth a special trip. As one guest put it: 'I won't come to Huangshan again for Huangshan, but I will climb Huangshan again for this hotel!'
AAinara | 小爱The best 4 days ever! Highly recommend this hotel!
We were a group of 8 people and had an unforgettable stay here. The hotel owner is one of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly, gave us great local recommendations, and even personally drove us to each destination!
On the day we went hiking in the mountains, he provided us with free walking sticks. He helped us with everything — arranging transfers, buying entrance tickets, and planning the route. He also allowed us to check in early and check out late, which was incredibly convenient.
I shared room 8303 with my friend. The room is designed for two people and had two separate beds, both very comfortable to sleep in. There was also an air conditioner in the room, which made our stay even more pleasant.
Another thing we’re super grateful for — the owner kindly let us do laundry. After hiking in the mountains, our clothes definitely needed it!
The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, full of natural light, and have plenty of power outlets. The showers were great, with clean water and convenient showerheads. There were all the necessary toiletries: body soap, shampoo — we recommend bringing your own conditioner if needed.
The hotel can also prepare food for guests. We really enjoyed the tomato and egg noodles — delicious and homey.
There’s also a local café nearby where we had breakfast a few times.
The hotel is located in the mountains, perfectly positioned for visiting nearby attractions, waterfalls, hiking spots, and even riding quad bikes.
A tip: bring a good quality raincoat if you’re visiting during rainy weather!
The owner speaks basic English, and even though it wasn’t easy for him, he patiently explained everything to us in English with so much kindness and care. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable — even helped us search for a lost phone in the mountains!
He also called us in advance before our arrival to confirm our plans and helped arrange a transfer to the train station after check-out.
We wish him and his family good health, happiness, and prosperity. He and this hotel deserve not just 5 stars, but 1000! Wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

GGuest UserIt's a little far from Namdaemun, about ten minutes' drive, but the owner of the B&B is very nice, pick up and drop off. I arrived a day in advance and wanted to store my luggage up the mountain. I called and he immediately drove to move my luggage. It was very quick, so it's no problem if you don't drive yourself. The room is relatively new and clean, and there is a large terrace. Next to it is a small river with very clear water. The environment feels better than some hotels at the foot of the mountain. The breakfast is relatively simple, and you can add more if it's not enough. I just came back from climbing the mountain and I was not feeling well and wanted to eat something light. Overall, I still recommend it

AAnonymous UserI was attracted by the pictures, but I was a little disappointed by this homestay in the ancient town. After all, you can stay in a very good hotel in Wuhu at this price.
Let's talk about the general environment of the ancient town first. It is said that tickets are charged on holidays. Few shops are open at night, and there are few people in the morning. It is said that there are performances, but there is nothing suitable for children after looking at the program list. Many shops are closed, and the streets with closed doors can also show that they were once prosperous. It should be good.
Let's talk about the hotel. The room area is OK and the environment is generally good, but my child is afraid of the slide and thinks it is too steep. I tried it myself and it was true, so I lost one of the fun of booking this room.
The breakfast is really incomparable to star hotels. It is matched by the owner himself.
I saw the reviews before that the small animals that can be fed were only empty cages. There was a cat. The baby could only play with the cat for a while. On the way to the room, I had to pass the cat house. The smell almost made me faint.
There are also advantages. In terms of service, the boss contacted in advance. When I arrived, the boss went to the door to pick up the tickets in person. There were several times in the middle when the remote control and bed sheets were replaced. The boss solved it quickly. The owner of the B&B is indeed very responsive to the guests' service and has a very good attitude. The air conditioning in the room is very powerful, the terrace is quite comfortable, and it feels good to sit on the terrace as the sun sets.
Overall, I gave it a score of four, and I hope it can be better. Or the price can be more affordable.

RRebecca CockMy stay at Luming Valley Hotspring Holidays B&B exceeded every expectation from the moment we drove up the hill.
My husband and I stayed in the Mountainscape Terrace Mountain View Suite, which genuinely felt like a 5‑star hotel room. It was spotless, beautifully furnished, and equipped with an incredibly comfortable bed, a fully stocked mini fridge, and a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The smart controls operated by “Xiao Bao” were a fun and convenient touch. We were completely blown away and honestly wished we could have stayed in the room forever.
Even before our arrival, the staff communicated with us via WeChat to ensure everything went smoothly. We were able to speak with an English‑speaking staff member who took care of every detail for us—booking the hot springs, arranging breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea, and even offering to help us get to the train station on our last day. Their attentiveness went far beyond anything we’ve experienced at other hotels. We were even given a thoughtful bag of gifts upon departure.
Because the hotel is quite isolated, we ate all our meals on-site. The cuisine is Chinese, which isn’t usually my preference, but everything was delicious, freshly prepared, and presented with great care. A standout was the afternoon tea we enjoyed on our second day. We could choose to dine in our room or at the restaurant, which was perfect depending on how we felt each day.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the hot springs. There are four in total, and we used the two located higher on the hill, which offered an incredible view—even on a cloudy day. The temperature was perfect, and everything was exceptionally clean. The staff assured us that each pool is drained and refilled after every use, which gave us great peace of mind. Soaking in the hot springs in the heart of winter, surrounded by Huangshan’s beautiful mountains, was an unforgettable experience.
The hotel is about an hour from both Huangshanxi and Huangshanbei stations and easily reachable by car or Didi. Due to the weather, we didn’t visit the mountain scenic area, but the staff were more than willing to help us plan if we wanted to explore the surroundings.
This was truly a 10/10 stay. The staff make you feel like you’re the only guests there with their warmth and attentiveness. The design and architecture are stunning, and the hotel even smells amazing. I have absolutely no complaints and would rank this among the best hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. It’s a perfect romantic getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. I can’t wait to return!
