Guest UserLovely hotel near Wanda Jinfeng mall, surrounded by many pharmacies. The fruit shop downstairs called 小任果 is one of the best fruit chains in Yinchuan with a huge offering of fruits and yoghurt and nuts. We bought these to bring along for our day trips out of Yinchuan. Its nice to stay at Jingfeng district as its quieter than drum tower area.
The lobby has snacks, fruit and drinks all day for guests. Coffee was super !
We used the complimentary washer dryer which is a fabulous amenity.
We appreciated the free pickup at the airport which we arranged 1 day prior by telephone booking from Shanghai. The reception and the breakfast counter staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The toiletries were all upmarket
If there is any con - its the plump cleaning lady at the 3rd floor. She appeared unhappy when we asked her to top up the bath wash when it was low and she forgot to top up. She just handed us a bottle to install ourselves. She also didnt wipe the control panel for the room unlike her colleague who does it when she is on duty so we can see our finger prints still on the glass after housekeeping.
Small issue though. Cos everything else about the hotel was great

Guest UserThe Kempinski Hotel Yinchuan truly lives up to its five-star reputation. The rooms are spacious and bright, with excellent amenities, and the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are very convenient. The toiletries, bath towels, and hand towels were all impeccably clean, and the large bath towels were especially comfortable. The lobby is quite grand and impressive. The staff were all very welcoming, especially the gentleman at the front desk who checked me in. He was patient, thorough, and attentive. Since I'm older and have trouble sleeping, I requested a quiet room, and the staff member, whose name tag read 'Qiao,' arranged it perfectly for me. The baggage handlers in the lobby were also very friendly. The Kempinski's management is quite generous; I came back late one night and realized I'd forgotten to buy water, and the front desk immediately arranged for four bottles to be sent to my room. I'm truly grateful for that. The breakfast selection was also quite rich.

Traveller70nyWellness themed hotel with spacious rooms and very helpful staff. The surroundings are really nice including the river and several parks.
A few staff spoke good English and really helped this non-mandarin speaking guest a lot, especially to call taxis. The housekeeper on my level was also very sweet and friendly and efficient. Would happily stay there again.

Guest UserThis stay exceeded our expectations! From the moment you step into the hotel lobby, the warm reception from the staff makes you feel very cordial, and the smiling service throughout the whole process makes you feel like Mia. The room design is simple and stylish, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the sound insulation is first-class. It is especially satisfying to sleep until you wake up naturally! The bathroom has a good dry and wet separation, and the toiletries have a high-end scent. The hotel is in a very convenient location, with restaurants and convenience stores all around. The breakfast has a rich variety, and the freshly cooked local specialty noodles are impressive. The restaurant waiters will also ask about your needs attentively. Special thanks to the front desk for their thoughtful service. They proactively recommended tourist routes and even helped deliver the luggage to the room. The price-performance ratio is very high. I highly recommend it to friends who come for tourism or business trips. I will definitely come again next time!

JiangmiyeyeI was looking for a hotel that would be comfortable for introverts – a place where I could relax, enjoy the scenery, people-watch, observe the wind, birds, and insects, with minimal interaction but genuine service, and quick responses when needed. serendipitously, I found it this time.
A few days before check-in, the housekeeper set up a WeChat group to inquire about our arrival method and dining reservations. After check-in, we received reminders and activity notifications. Before bed, we got a night reminder and the on-duty staff's phone number. Throughout, there was no unnecessary chatter or disturbance, and face-to-face interactions were warm and sincere.
Upon entering the manor, the May grapevines were still slowly growing, and all I saw was a vast expanse of loess. However, stepping into the lobby, the contrast was striking – an indoor tropical garden! Staghorn ferns, banana trees, vines, orchids, and other plants thrived beautifully; some banana trees even bore fruit. The restaurant on the second floor offered a panoramic view of the Helan Mountains, with the side profile of the Reclining Buddha clearly visible. If the weather was good, we could enjoy the sunset from the restaurant, watching the sun slowly disappear behind the mountains, painting the sky with brilliant hues.
While the accommodation already met my expectations, the restaurant's delicious food was truly a pleasant surprise. Perhaps it's my stereotype, but I've always felt that guesthouse restaurants tend to be a bit pricey and the food generally mediocre. Who would have thought that the dinner was so good that my family and I decided to book lunch for the next day before we even finished eating? For dinner, we ordered stewed lamb from Yanchi, scrambled eggs with sand onion, and 'tangmian youxiang' (half portion). For lunch the next day: 'chuanzui' carp, fragrant goji berry shoots, and lamb buns or dumplings? Oh, I forgot… The taste was on par with, or even surpassed, well-known old restaurants in the city. (Two dishes and one staple were more than enough for two people – I was stuffed! Order moderately, don't be as gluttonous as me!)
Finally, a big thank you to our housekeeper Niu Niu, store manager Li Yang, and the other staff members. Niu Niu was always enthusiastic and polite in all our interactions, always greeting us with a smile. Store manager Li Yang provided detailed explanations during the evening wine tasting, ensuring everyone felt included (even us in the corner, hahaha!). And to the other young people whose names I can't recall but whose brief encounters left an impression: the girl who led us on the cellar tour; the clear-eyed young man who diligently used a lint roller to pick up stray hairs in each room; and the curly-haired guy who effortlessly lifted our luggage when we got out of the car. Also, the sisters in the restaurant – every single person made me feel genuinely welcome, polite, and never intrusive. I'm already looking forward to my next visit with friends for a longer stay!

Jago SevatarOf all the camps in the area to choose from I highly recommend staying at this particular one. The manager Wang Shiquan and his team are incredibly good hosts and made sure I had everything I needed. As a foreigner I felt incredibly welcomed and included.
The tents are of really good quality and very roomy. The beds are really comfy too. The activities are also plentiful with quad biking, camel riding and sandboarding. Shapotou is very close by too with much to do.
Ningxia is definitely an underrated province and I highly recommend anyone to come and see it and experience the kind hospitality of it's people from this camp.
Thank you for a great stay.

Anonymous UserThis time I stayed at the desert tent hotel, and its facilities were far beyond my expectations! There is a viewing terrace outside the tent, equipped with comfortable lounge chairs, allowing me to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the desert sunrise and sunset. The interior of the tent is no slouch either, and it stays nice and cool even on a scorching desert day. The independent bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas, with a stable supply of hot water and high-quality toiletries. There are also a lot of entertainment facilities, including desert motorcycles, sandboards, etc., which satisfy my pursuit of exciting experiences. What’s even more thoughtful is that the tent is also equipped with an emergency medicine kit and charging equipment, showing care in every detail. Such high-quality facilities gave me an unforgettable desert trip!

My recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Zhongwei was a delightful surprise! Amy Yumi, the front desk attendant, greeted me with such a warm smile, and Coco had me checked in within three minutes. They even upgraded me to a larger room for free, which was spacious and bright, and came with a complimentary fruit platter. The bathroom's separate wet and dry areas were a thoughtful touch, and the Hilton-standard cleanliness put me completely at ease.
The breakfast buffet offered local specialties like the incredibly flavorful and chewy Aocai noodles. The self-service coffee machine made a latte that was just as good as anything you'd get at a cafe! The location was super convenient too; it took less than half an hour by taxi to get to the Shapotou Scenic Area. In the evenings, I could unwind at the gym.
The free laundry room was a lifesaver for travelers needing to refresh their clothes, and the printer in the lobby's business center was free to use. I even discovered that the room's power outlets had built-in USB ports!
I've already recommended this hotel to all my friends planning a trip to Zhongwei. Whether for a business trip or a desert adventure, it's the perfect choice!

A friend recommended this hotel, and it was indeed excellent. The location is very convenient, with Zhongshan Park right across the street, making it especially convenient for taking the kids to play. It's also very convenient to go shopping at Wanda Plaza. The hotel's design is very simple and elegant. The most attractive thing about the hotel lobby is the pleasant aromatherapy and the subtle coffee scent. This stay was a fantastic experience, and I will definitely choose Orange Crystal Hotel again next time.

Guest UserThe Desert Star Hotel is truly worth a dedicated trip, making it the best base for a family desert adventure in the Tengger Desert!
The accommodation completely subverted my impression of a desert hotel. With its sealed, dust-proof design, the room was spotless. There was 24-hour hot water and soft bedding, making it comfortable despite the large temperature fluctuations between day and night. Toiletries and kids' slippers were all well-provided.
There were plenty of activities for the kids: free sandboarding, dune walks, and a professional stargazing explanation every night. My child was fully immersed in the desert and starry sky, even seeing the Milky Way with their own eyes, which was incredibly rewarding.
The biggest surprise was the complementary travel photography! The photographer was incredibly patient and great at engaging with children, gently guiding us throughout without forcing poses. The photos were taken during the golden hour of sunset, with endless yellow sand against the orange glow of dusk, creating an amazing atmosphere. The candid shots of family interactions, running, and watching the sunset were incredibly natural and heartfelt. The original photos were super clear, each one a precious souvenir, preserving our rare family desert memories.
