This self-guided desert tour is absolutely amazing! The desert scenery is majestic and magnificent, and the afterglow of the setting sun shines on the golden sand dunes, as beautiful as a painting. The campsite facilities are complete and the staff are warm and caring. The food is diverse, the roasted whole lamb is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the aroma is overflowing. Camel riding, sand boarding and other activities are super exciting. Moreover, the self-guided itinerary is free and allows you to deeply experience the charm of the desert. Highly recommended, looking forward to coming again next time!

The Kempinski Hotel Yinchuan truly lives up to its five-star reputation. The rooms are spacious and bright, with excellent amenities, and the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are very convenient. The toiletries, bath towels, and hand towels were all impeccably clean, and the large bath towels were especially comfortable. The lobby is quite grand and impressive. The staff were all very welcoming, especially the gentleman at the front desk who checked me in. He was patient, thorough, and attentive. Since I'm older and have trouble sleeping, I requested a quiet room, and the staff member, whose name tag read 'Qiao,' arranged it perfectly for me. The baggage handlers in the lobby were also very friendly. The Kempinski's management is quite generous; I came back late one night and realized I'd forgotten to buy water, and the front desk immediately arranged for four bottles to be sent to my room. I'm truly grateful for that. The breakfast selection was also quite rich.

The campground is inside the Impression Tengger Scenic Area. There are campgrounds all around (I checked and found that almost all the ones offering free Tengger tickets are located nearby). Sandstorm offers the best value. 😁 The service was excellent. Mr. Li contacted me right after booking to confirm how to get to the campground. (If you drive, you can only reach the scenic area entrance; it's all desert inside and you have to change cars. There's no guide, and you don't know the way. 😂) Tengger activities are right next to it. The hotel has a bonfire, iron flower making, fireworks, and a karaoke bar. It's all quite lively. After 5 or 6, when the sun isn't so strong, it's wonderful to walk along the sand dunes for two or three hours. It's refreshing and you can even watch the sunset. The shared bathrooms are also quite spacious, with lockers and benches for storing clothes. A tip for you ladies: wash and change into your regular shoes before returning to your tent (you'll still get sandy if you wear slippers. 😂) It rained this time, so unfortunately I couldn't see the stars, but it was a special experience. Even with the strong wind and heavy rain, sand didn't get into the tent, which was great. 😀

The butler will contact guests a day in advance. The hotel is located inside the Tonghu Scenic Area, and the room rate includes admission tickets. This is the only hotel in the scenic area, so there are no outsiders. The hotel's front desk is at the main entrance of the Tonghu Grassland Scenic Area, with free parking. There's a 4x4 shuttle service within the area. The Starlight Restaurant is right next to the tent area, making dining convenient. It usually includes a buffet breakfast and a buffet hot pot dinner with good quality ingredients and a wide selection. There's a shuttle service to the bonfire party, which features a high-quality equestrian show, not just simple amateur entertainment. The rooms are tents. Our room type only had a password lock on the tent zipper, but since there are no outsiders in the park, it felt safe. Soundproofing isn't great because it's a warm tent. Each room type has a private bathroom and toilet, also in an attached tent form. Amenities are complete, including Crocs-style slippers and body lotion. The stand-up air conditioner heats and cools quickly, and there's also an oil-filled radiator for heating. It's hot during the day and cold at night, so you need to use both heating and cooling throughout the day. It's dry, so you can hang a wet towel. There are sand toys and sand sleds everywhere outside the room, and sand dunes right outside your tent, so you can play freely. Everything you could need is provided. If you stay for multiple nights, you'll need to drive quite a distance to visit other places during the day. Actually, one night and the next morning are sufficient. There are plenty of daytime activities, making it suitable for families with children. However, adults can use the daytime for excursions.

The cleanliness was impeccable, the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and all the facilities were complete and easy to use. The breakfast selection was extensive, with both Western and Chinese options, and tasted fantastic. I've already recommended it to my friends! It truly felt like a home away from home, with a clean and comfortable environment coupled with warm and professional service.

The check-in and check-out process was efficient, with no long waits. The room was spacious and bright, with a well-arranged desk and chairs, making it convenient for both work and rest. The bedding was clean and comfortable, the indoor air was fresh, and the facilities were well-maintained. Transportation in the surrounding area is convenient, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and comfortable. The service was professional and courteous. I couldn't find any faults with anything. It's an excellent choice for business travelers, and I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next trip.

The first hotel I stayed in when I came to Yinchuan. Everything in the new hotel is very new. You can see that the decoration and equipment are also carefully designed, such as hair dryers, toothbrushes, electric toilets, humidifiers, etc. The room is quite large and has a balcony. The environment is also very clean, minimalist style, the service attitude is also very good, and the front desk lady is great~ The disadvantage is that the location is a bit remote, there are not many restaurants nearby, and you have to drive there, so it is recommended to pack breakfast. But it is still very close to the Western Xia Imperial Mausoleum, so it is recommended to check in there. Then after checking in to the new hotel, it is still recommended to open the window for ventilation.

There is still such accommodation in the desert, it is really satisfying, air conditioning, electric toilet, terrace, private bathroom, comprehensive facilities and high comfort. The night view is beautiful, the stargazing location recommended by the boss, the whole starry sky is raised, and the journey becomes particularly unforgettable. The bonfire fireworks atmosphere is full. Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner hot pot, barbecue... are quite comprehensive, this trip is not only good to eat, live well, and have fun.

The camp is located in the Tengger Desert (East Lake Grassland), about 25 minutes drive from the airport and train station (60 yuan taxi). The camp is free of charge for the gate to the camp, and is on call, which is very convenient. The camp is located in the hinterland of the desert, and the vast desert and golden sand dunes are out. The afterglow is dazzling, the stars are shining at night, and the moon and stars are clearly visible. The room design is exquisite and warm. The space capsule we stayed in is equipped with complete facilities, air conditioning, dry and wet separation bathroom and smart toilet. It is all available. The beds are clean and comfortable, and the night is good. The decoration style of the room is perfectly integrated with the desert theme. The details are fully attentive. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows give the beautiful scenery of the desert a panoramic view. You can enjoy the magnificent desert scenery while lying on the bed. The camp canteen is clean and hygienic. The breakfast is rich and delicious, with fried dough sticks, miscellaneous grains, porridge, side dishes and pickled sand melons, providing sufficient energy for a day of travel. Lunch and dinner can be ordered, scrambled eggs with sand onion, and lamb with onion. Every dish is very delicate and grounded. Here, there are also colorful desert activities. You can ride a camel to walk in the sand sea, feel the ancient desert transportation method; you can also take an off-road vehicle to speed between the dunes and experience exciting desert surfing; After sunset, there was a lively bonfire party and a beautiful fireworks show, everyone sat around, singing and dancing. The service of the camp also touched me. From the moment of booking, the customer service took the initiative to contact and inform the detailed route and precautions. After arriving at the entrance of the scenic spot, there is also a special car to pick up and drop off to the hotel to help carry luggage and check in. The whole process is warm and thoughtful. During our stay, the staff always responded to our needs in a timely manner, provided us with all kinds of help and suggestions, and made us feel the meticulous care. Before check-out, small gifts, quicksand bottles and camel dolls were also given, which the children liked very much. If you want to make an unforgettable trip to the desert, don’t miss it!

The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – so we slept incredibly well. The staff were gentle and thoughtful, responding quickly to any requests.
