I came to Shenyang for a bathhouse experience and wanted to spend a romantic night, so I chose the nearest hotel. My first stay at a Mercure hotel was in Chengdu, and it was fantastic – great service, food, and excellent value for money, comparable to top-tier brands, though it lacked a pool and a large gym. The hygiene and decor were very practical and stylishly modern. I got an upgrade to a deluxe room. The hotel offered many thoughtful services, the staff were very polite, and they even gave me a welcome gift. The downsides were limited parking and perhaps lower occupancy in winter, as the bedding wasn't perfectly clean – I felt a bit itchy, and I'm quite sensitive. Shenyang winters are also very dry, and while the room had a humidifier, I didn't use it. Overall, it was still a great experience. The breakfast was delicious; while not extensive or luxurious, the quality of the food was excellent. For a price of just over 400 with breakfast included for two, it's a fantastic deal and highly recommended for any traveler.

After looking at many hotels, I finally settled on Riyueming. The price and environment are both great, and it includes breakfast. I stayed for two consecutive days, and the breakfast menu changed daily and was delicious. Drinks and bottled water are complimentary, and the service attitude is also very good. Since it's the off-season, there weren't many people. I'll definitely go back next time.

We arrived on the fourth day of the ***** New Year. We left Beijing after lunch, and the drive was smooth with no traffic, as the Jingha Expressway renovations were finally complete. We stopped for some BBQ in Jinzhou in the evening and reached Shenyang by night. The hotel's location is super convenient; it's just a 10-minute walk from Shenyang Railway Station, and there's a subway station downstairs. Taiyuan Street Pedestrian Street is right next door. We could have walked to the large Yonglihui bathhouse in about 10 minutes (but we skipped it, fearing it would be too crowded, and went to a smaller one nearby instead). A taxi to Xita took just over 10 minutes. So, getting around was a breeze! The hotel has an underground parking lot, though the spaces were a bit narrow. Parking was free during our stay. While the room decor felt a bit dated, all the facilities were in good working order. No issues with damage, strange smells, or leaks. The hot water was plentiful and the showerhead worked perfectly, making everything comfortable to use. The front desk staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Oh, and there's a convenience store right across the street with reasonably priced items. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time.

It's incredibly convenient for getting around, whether by taxi or subway. Plus, it's right next to MixC shopping mall, offering a wide array of shopping and dining options, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. 2. **Spacious and Comfortable Rooms:** The guest rooms are generously sized and well-appointed. The bedding and mattress are quite comfortable, perfect for families or extended stays. 3. **Excellent Hallway Soundproofing:** Even when people are passing by or talking in the hallway, the soundproofing in the room is excellent, ensuring an undisturbed night's sleep. 4. **Reliable Security:** The security measures are effective; you need a key card to access the elevators, which gives great peace of mind, especially at night. 5. **Varied Breakfast with Plenty of Western Options:** The Western breakfast items (like bread, eggs, bacon, etc.) are of good quality and meet basic needs. There's also a decent selection of Chinese dishes. Cons (Needs Significant Improvement): 1. **Lack of Enthusiasm from Restaurant Staff:** The servers were slow to respond and lacked proactive service. Their attitude was cold, which falls short of the service standards expected from the Hilton brand. 2. **Serious and Disappointing Room Cleanliness Issues:** * **Uncleaned Wardrobe Stains:** Upon checking in at night, even with dim lighting, we could clearly see large, uncleaned dragon fruit stains in the wardrobe. The color residue was obvious, suggesting a superficial cleaning job. * **Trash Left on Windowsill:** There were potato chip crumbs from a previous guest left on the windowsill, along with noticeable dust accumulation. The attention to detail in cleaning was completely lacking.

This brand-new hotel is fantastic! The rooms are well-equipped, and the premium mattress made for a very comfortable sleep. The hotel staff provided excellent service. The hot water shower has smart temperature control and great water pressure. Breakfast was varied and the environment was pleasant. The location is super convenient for getting around, and Wanda Plaza is within walking distance. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time.

Facilities: I'd seen many reviews mentioning outdated facilities, and while it's true some things show their age, it's generally acceptable given how long the hotel has been around. Breakfast: Nowadays, hotel breakfasts across the country are pretty similar. What stands out here are the local specialties like Dalian 'menzi' (a type of jelly), sea cucumber and rice, and this amazing seafood omelet! 👍 Delicious 😋

Jackie was very attentive and responsible. The room arranged for us was perfect – non-smoking and facing the sun. It was excellent. The room had a desk, which was very convenient for the kids to read. I'm especially grateful for the help with printing the kids' test papers; the service was truly superb. The robot delivery for our late-night takeout was super convenient. There's a piano in the lobby, and I never expected my child could practice piano even while traveling. It exceeded my expectations and was totally worth it!

The hotel is in prime location. It takes about 10 minutes to drive anywhere you like (main attractions and restaurants, parks, railway stations, etc.). There is a night market is just behind the hotel. It has great food options for both adults and kids. If don’t want to eat out you can order food online and the robot will deliver it to you (one of the features that we really like here in China). There is a Luckin Coffee next door as well. The check-in and -out is smooth and prompt. Our room was upgraded (I am not sure what the real difference it made thought). The breakfast area is small but food choices are varied. there is also a nice view if you sit by the window. The lobby has some child-friendly activities where kids can play and socialize. With that being said, the soundproofing is pretty bad and room cleanness is below average, i.e. there is dust on shelves, smudges on the floor, and hair in linen. To top it up, there was a male guest in the lobby smoking like a chimney. There are signs everywhere that says smoking is forbidden. The man did not care and the staff did not interfere. We were surprised to see such a high rating of this hotel via Trip. We would consider other options next time we are in Shenyang.

Hilton Garden Inn and DoubleTree Hotel are in the same building. The hotel facilities are very good. It is worth mentioning that the service staff are of high quality. They helped us upgrade the room type for free, and the room was a little bigger. Dinner was eaten in the restaurant on the second floor. The ingredients were very fresh, the dishes were served quickly, the portions were large, and the price was reasonable. Breakfast was also a buffet on the second floor and it was also very rich. Facilities: Robots deliver takeout, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, there is a small refrigerator, and it is very clean overall.

I couldn't find the lobby at first, so I followed an arrow sign and went up to the fifth floor. There was a cleaning lady there, and I politely asked her, 'Excuse me, could you tell me where the lobby is?' She completely ignored me. I asked again, 'Excuse me, where is the lobby?' She then impatiently snapped, 'Who told you the lobby is up here? Haven't you ever been to a hotel before? Who told you the lobby is upstairs?' I replied, 'I couldn't find it, so where is it?' She haughtily said, 'It's on the first floor, obviously.' The whole interaction she was just very impatient and arrogant. I was here to take an exam nearby and had hoped to review at the hotel, but she completely ruined my good mood. Then, the soundproofing was terrible and it was so noisy. The next morning, after my exam, I wanted to take a nap, but I could hear everything clearly from the room next door – I couldn't get any sleep at all.
