AAnonymous UserI personally believe this is currently the best-managed hotel in Shenyang. It's located in the former municipal government building, right on the City Government Hang Lung Plaza, with direct subway access. This makes it a central location in Shenyang, convenient for getting anywhere. The rooms are still very new, and the mattress is super comfortable. Breakfast meets the standard of a five-star international hotel, with excellent Western and Chinese options. They even have croissants kept warm in an oven and delicious fried cakes. From 6 PM to 8 PM, the lounge offers dinner, including eight hot dishes and main courses, salads, cheese, cold cuts, and sushi. There's a chef preparing fresh noodles on the spot. They also have simple desserts (the same as those offered at the Wenguan buffet) and beverages. The quality is really impressive. If you're not factoring in value for money, this hotel is definitely worth experiencing.

GGuest UserLocation: Just a 5-6 minute walk to the beach, and right next to the Water City and popular Instagram spots. The Fountain Square is about a 20-minute walk away. There are snack shops and Xiding (a restaurant) nearby.
Facilities: The hotel facilities are quite good and well-equipped, including a refrigerator, washing machine, and induction cooker.
Environment: The overall hotel environment is excellent, and the soundproofing is also good; we barely heard any noise during our two-day stay. Although it's a very tall building (67 floors in total), there are plenty of elevators, making it convenient to go up and down. We stayed in a city view suite, and the views were fantastic.
Service: The hotel staff provided excellent service. The lobby is on the 66th floor, which is also where check-in takes place. The housekeeping staff did a very thorough job cleaning our room.

GGuest UserWe stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel Dalian Golden Pebble Beach for two nights over the Dragon Boat Festival, booking two rooms, and we were absolutely delighted! From the moment we checked in, the service was exceptional. The front desk staff were all incredibly welcoming, especially Yi Yangqianxi, who even upgraded our rooms. We had a fantastic view of the ocean from our floor, which was such a mood booster. The hotel itself has a vibrant musical vibe, with a distinct rock 'n' roll flair 🤘. The rooms were great too. It's right by the beach, and Discoveryland is only a few hundred meters away, so the kids had an amazing time. The breakfast selection was quite diverse, with something to please everyone. In the evenings, we also visited the hotel's own bar and enjoyed a couple of drinks – it was fantastic! There was even a foreign resident singer who performed beautifully, making it a perfect spot to unwind. We'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit!

**Amenities:** The pool on the third floor is great for kids! The depth ranges from 1.2m to 1.6m, so remember to bring swim rings. A special note: swim caps are mandatory to enter the pool.
The sky garden on the fifth floor is stunning, especially at night. It's a fantastic spot for photos, with the ocean in front and a lit-up castle behind – unbelievably beautiful! Also, the kids' play area on the fifth floor is highly recommended. When booking through Trip.com, sometimes a package includes access to the 'Kids Castle,' otherwise you'll need to buy tickets (60 for one child, 88 for one adult and one child). My child absolutely loved it and couldn't get enough, and honestly, even the adults had a blast – it's that much fun!
**Cleanliness:** The hotel is spotless and well-maintained. Even the nooks and crannies are clean!
**Environment:** The environment is beyond words; every corner is incredibly photogenic. Whether you're traveling with family and kids, as a couple, or for any other reason, it's definitely a picture-perfect destination!
**Service:** I have to dedicate a bit more space to this. We booked two rooms without breakfast. The manager, seeing we had a baby, specially offered us a complimentary breakfast. Moreover, any issues we had during our stay were resolved perfectly and immediately! The service absolutely deserves full marks!

YYoushengdiantaiFinding the right hotel in Shenyang is so important! This time, I chose the Swissôtel by Accor, right by Qingnian Park metro station. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around. For around 500 RMB, it even offers a swimming pool. The best feature of the room is definitely the floor-to-ceiling window, which offers a fantastic city view of the TV Tower. The cityscape is really impressive, though I regret not taking night photos as I was out exploring. The room is also quite spacious, comes with a bathtub for relaxing, and the bed is very comfortable. My only complaint is that they didn't offer a birthday treat even though I checked in on my birthday.

AAnonymous UserI was very satisfied with my trip to Dalian, especially the accommodation. Initially, I was worried that Shangri-La, being an older five-star hotel, might have outdated facilities. However, upon arrival, I found the hotel facilities to be very well-maintained, and the service experience was excellent – truly befitting a five-star hotel. I had originally booked a one-bedroom apartment, but the lobby manager kindly upgraded us to a two-bedroom apartment for free, seeing that I had many family members with me. We only realized the free upgrade once we got to the room, which was a pleasant surprise for my family and me; we even thought we had gone to the wrong room at first, haha. I'd also like to specially commend Ms. Yara from the hotel. After check-in, she proactively added me on WeChat to help me with a delivery, was always available to assist with any issues, and even gave my baby a cute little bear, which my baby absolutely loves and carries everywhere. Since we were traveling with a small child, the hotel also provided a bed rail. Additionally, the hotel has two playgrounds (one large, one small) and a swimming pool, so there's no need to worry about the baby getting bored. The breakfast was also very lavish, and both adults and children enjoyed it immensely. All in all, Shangri-La Hotel did not disappoint me. I highly recommend it to families traveling with children!

She personally accompanied me to my room to ensure everything was perfect, seamlessly arranged my taxi bookings, and made sure my transport arrived exactly on time. Her attention to detail made me feel valued.Regrettably, no one provided that level of care during this trip. The check-in process felt purely transactional—the front desk staff simply handed me my room key with no extra effort or welcoming gesture.I chose to return because of the exceptional service I received initially, but this second experience felt indifferent. I hope management can train all staff to deliver the consistent, high-quality service that made this hotel stand out in the first place.

AAnonymous UserI've stayed at all the five-star hotels in Dalian – the Shangri-La, Grand Hyatt, Castle, Conrad, Hilton, and New World, from Donggang to Renmin Road and Xinghai. Years ago, I had a few meals and afternoon tea at the Kempinski, and my impression was quite good. This time, I was back in China for a business trip near the hotel. Even though the hotel had changed its name, I booked three nights and four days, drawn by fond memories and the convenience, as I had never actually stayed there before. The result was a huge disappointment! This is definitely a hotel I would never choose again.
Let's start from arrival. Coming from the airport by taxi, I had one large suitcase and three carry-on bags. There were no staff at the entrance. Just as I was struggling, a male staff member saw the taxi and came out to help with my luggage. During check-in, the front desk staff said they had upgraded my room and very enthusiastically offered to take me to the room. In the process, they asked for my WeChat, saying it would be convenient for service. After I gave it to them, they just turned around and left, not escorting me to my room. This felt very insincere! They completely disregarded how tiring it is for a customer who has just traveled.
So I dragged all my luggage by myself to the room, which turned out to be a corner room next to a dilapidated fire exit. Upon entering, my first impression was that the hotel's blackout curtains were fully closed, and the colors were very dark, making the whole room feel incredibly oppressive. I then requested a room change. Later, a young female staff member came to the room to bring a new key card, helped me view the new room, and assisted with moving my luggage. Her service was excellent! I'd like to thank that young lady.
Now, about breakfast. I only went once out of three days and didn't bother going again. The food was unappetizing, and the hygiene was poor. Uncleaned dishes were left in plain sight after guests finished eating. Waiters constantly made screeching noises dragging chairs. Two waiters were chatting, and even after I signaled them, they didn't respond. And the attitude of the chefs making noodles at the Chinese food station – they were joking and laughing, and customers had to ask multiple times before getting a reply. The entire restaurant staff lacked a sense of service.
I considered changing hotels in the middle of my stay, but I was too lazy to bother. I finally endured until checkout day. The front desk then asked for a good review, without asking about my real feelings at all. The entire check-in and stay experience was awful. I honestly can't give a positive review against my conscience.

GGuest UserThe room was spacious and fantastic, with excellent soundproofing. The bathroom was well-stocked with shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and lotion. The only minor drawback was the lack of a light at the desk, making it a bit dark.
The gym was amazing, even equipped with weightlifting machines, and the treadmills had wireless charging! On the same floor, there was also a free self-service laundry room, and you could check machine availability directly from your room.
The front desk staff were warm and friendly. Highly recommended!

WWeilaizhixinI stayed at two hotels during my trip, and the Four Seasons was the best! (The first one had an amazing location, but the hotel was relatively old.) I stayed in a suite at the Four Seasons, and the experience was superb! Especially the Guest Experience team (10-19) – their voices sounded like beautiful ladies, they were incredibly attentive and served as thoughtful concierges. I stayed for four days, and happily, I got an upgrade on the last day. Honestly, if it weren't for my return journey, I would have loved to stay a few more days to truly relax. The room layout was well-designed, and the views were unparalleled, especially the night view. The housekeeping staff also kept the room spotless and fully stocked with amenities. Overall, the experience was excellent. The staff at afternoon tea and happy hour also provided great service, and the chefs tried their best to accommodate guest requests. Next time I visit, it will definitely be the Four Seasons again. Now that I've mentioned the good points, I'd like to offer some suggestions: the variety of food at breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour needs more sincerity! Finally, I hope the Four Seasons maintains its current standards and continues to improve. A big thank you again to the concierge, housekeeping, and the chefs and staff at happy hour. Your service, combined with the hotel's facilities, made my trip very enjoyable and truly feel like a vacation! I look forward to my next stay.
