The Marriott hotel is super conveniently located right above a large shopping mall that has everything you need. It's also very easy to get to museums, Chaoyang Square, the train station, and the high-speed rail station via Metro Line 1. The hotel itself seems to have been recently renovated; it feels very new.

Facilities: This was my first time in Yangshuo, and this hotel is really popular because of its amazing window views. After checking in, I found the facilities to be excellent as well. It's not one of those places that looks good on the outside but is disappointing on the inside. I absolutely loved the super big TV and the rotating bed in the room. You can turn it to the best angle and lie down to admire the mountains!
Cleanliness: Very satisfied. Everything was changed for each new guest. I stayed for two nights and they proactively asked about cleaning and changing things on the second day.
Environment: Speechless, truly beautiful. In the low season of winter, the green outside the window was a bit desolate, but the sunrise and sunset created an amazing ambiance! 👏🏻
Service: Absolutely top-notch. After the concierge group was set up, they were incredibly attentive, answering all my questions about booking various tours and even offering some discounts. They were meticulous, reminding and asking about afternoon tea and dinner's white fungus soup! Fantastic. Plus, the photos taken by the in-house photography service turned out great. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves (of course, I brought my own clothes) 🧐

This time, I stayed at the Four Seasons Yunqi Hotel, and the location and scenic views were absolutely stunning – perfect for photos! The hotel's photography staff were super friendly and their skills were top-notch, highly recommend! The hotel's environment and cleanliness were excellent, with a beautiful Chinese courtyard-style decor. The service was fantastic, and I especially loved the scent of the toiletries in the room. My only suggestion would be to improve the soundproofing!

Our family came to Guilin for a trip, and the service was outstanding! I have to say, this hotel really makes you feel at home. Every staff member we passed, from the service personnel to the cleaning ladies, would warmly greet us. The hotel is right next to the Li River and Fubo Hill scenic area, offering stunning, unobstructed river views. It was a very comfortable stay in Guilin. The room was very clean, and the toiletries were all excellent. The breakfast on the 6th floor was plentiful, and the service was fantastic! It's also quite close to popular Guilin attractions; it's about a 10-minute drive to Elephant Trunk Hill, and Fubo Hill scenic area is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. We also tried the hotel's travel photography service. The photographer even guided us on our facial expressions and poses, and I was very happy with the photos. Each room gets 3 complimentary photos. A highly recommended hotel!

We booked a room for three with one king-sized bed (1.8m) and one small bed (1.2m), and the room felt quite spacious. The mattress, pillows, and bedding were all very clean and comfortable. The soundproofing at night was also good, with no noise disturbance between rooms. The bathroom had a modern design with a separate wet and dry area. The service was incredibly warm and friendly, truly excellent! We felt right at home. The breakfast selection was rich and met the standards of a four or five-star hotel. The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn't very effective at cooling.

Let's start with the positives: the hotel's location is impeccable, convenient for getting anywhere. At night, we could enjoy a panoramic view of the fountains right from our room. Seeing the crowds below, huddled in the cold wind watching the musical fountain, instantly filled us with a sense of contentment! The hotel facilities are brand new and spotless, and the front desk staff were all incredibly friendly. The restaurant manager was exceptionally service-oriented; we stayed two nights, and on our departure day, we wanted yogurt for breakfast, but they had run out. The manager went out and bought us a large tub, which was very touching.
Now for the negatives: check-in is at 2 PM. We arrived a little past noon, and were told the room wasn't ready, which is understandable. We didn't originally plan to eat, but to kill time while waiting, we went out for a meal. When we returned after 2 PM, the front desk staff inquired about the room's status, and housekeeping replied that cleaning hadn't even started. I had arrived at the designated check-in time, and they were notified over an hour beforehand to clean. Regardless of the reason, there's no excuse for this issue. Although the front desk staff upgraded us to a different room type, it doesn't mask the underlying management problem.
Then, less than two minutes after entering the room, the power went out. It came back on shortly, but when we returned from sightseeing, the power was out again. We had to wait in the dark for the maintenance worker to arrive. Even the worker couldn't find the cause, and in the end, I discovered the problem myself: it was the power card. The 'complimentary coffee' was lukewarm when brewed, and the 'complimentary Liuzhou rice noodles' were also lukewarm – speechless!
Breakfast options were limited and the taste was poor. The female server at the noodle station was swearing incessantly, using explicit language three times in a row while talking to another staff member. It was quite shocking! A good reputation and good business aren't destroyed by others; they are often slowly ruined from within. This hotel has such great potential and started off well. I hope it continues to improve rather than sabotaging its own future. Let's all strive for that!
The yogurt in the last photo was bought by the restaurant manager and given to us just before we left. He insisted we take it in the car (we were self-driving). We didn't drink it and brought it back. It was a very warm gesture, thank you!

Traveling to Guilin with two elders over 80, I made sure to book a luxurious, grand international-star hotel with top-notch service! The hotel was bustling during Christmas, with a beautiful Christmas tree, creating a wonderful atmosphere! The room was very spacious, and the view facing the garden was bright and airy! The bedding and air conditioning were very comfortable. The buffet breakfast definitely offered the most choices and was excellent; the Guilin rice noodles here were delicious, we had them both days 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. The food at the hotel's Shang Palace restaurant was also fantastic, definitely worth the price for both nights.

The hotel is located right by Silver Beach, with direct access to the sand.
As expected from a five-star hotel, the facilities are top-notch.
The buffet breakfast area is spacious with a wide variety of dishes.
We received a complimentary room upgrade, which offered an even better view.
I need to give a special mention to the service. The bellhops were very proactive upon our arrival and departure, helping with luggage, which was much appreciated.
The front desk lady who checked us in was also very friendly and efficient, deserving praise.
Then came the main issue. There was someone next to her, who seemed to be in training, helping write key cards. Even the ID registration was handled by the first lady. This person only wrote four numbers, then asked to add me on WeChat, saying I could contact them anytime during my stay if I had issues. They sent some Beihai travel tips prepared by the hotel and some check-in reminders (like breakfast times and WiFi password). However, I didn't encounter any issues during my stay. After checking out, this 'customer service rep' sent a WeChat message, asking me to write a positive review for her. When I didn't respond immediately, she followed up, insisting I include a specific code and send a screenshot after writing it. This made me quite uncomfortable. In reality, her 'service' to me amounted to writing one key card, asking to add me on WeChat, and sending generic automated messages. There was no other service provided. If I were to write a review, it wouldn't be for her; it would be for those who actually helped me (like the bellhops, the check-in front desk staff, and the other front desk staff I consulted later). I won't name names, as the hotel might have performance review requirements for employees in this regard. I just hope the hotel considers this situation. If WeChat is to be used, it should be by someone who is fully responsible for the customer's entire experience.
Another front desk staff member worth commending: when I was on my way to the beach, I passed the front desk and casually asked the young man where to find sand digging tools. He immediately pointed me in the right direction. Also, considering I might be rushed the next day for checkout, I asked if we could have a half-hour late checkout, which he arranged perfectly for us. The overall communication was smooth, and his tone was very friendly and enthusiastic.
One small suggestion: it was my birthday on the day of check-in, but the hotel didn't offer any surprise or birthday wishes (yet I was still asked to write a good review). This felt a bit below five-star standards (I've stayed at several other five-star hotels before, where either the staff proactively wished me happy birthday or prepared a surprise).
Overall, the hotel is still good. The environment is pleasant, it's clean, the location is excellent, most of the staff are friendly, and it offers great value for money (I forgot to take photos inside the room, but I took a few pictures of Silver Beach from the balcony, and the view was beautiful).

Facilities: Standard for a five-star hotel, but the door doesn't close by itself; you have to push it shut when entering or exiting, which is a bit inconvenient.
Welcome fruit on the first day: The sugar tangerines were delicious.
Cleanliness: Clean and tidy, found no hidden dirty spots.
Environment: Good location, right next to Wanda Plaza, convenient for going to the supermarket and such.
Service: They proactively upgraded me to a suite because my original room wasn't ready. However, the suite had a smoke smell. I requested a smoke-free treatment, but the staff just opened the window, which was quite frustrating.

MM232096****5.0 stars! Picking the right hotel in Yangshuo is half the battle won for a successful trip, and this hidden gem on West Street is an absolute must-book!
Before coming to Yangshuo, I researched countless hotels, and finally chose BO HOTEL. It completely exceeded my expectations – the location, facilities, and service were all impeccable, truly deserving of a five-star rating!
📍 **[Prime Location: All Your Shopping, Dining, and Entertainment Needs Met]**
The hotel is right at the entrance archway of West Street. Step out, and you're in the bustling pedestrian street, filled with local snacks, souvenir shops, and pubs. In the evening, you can explore the night market and grab late-night snacks within a 2-minute walk. No need for a taxi when you're out late, which feels incredibly safe. The hotel is also within walking distance of the Li River, where a stroll by the river breeze is super relaxing. You can rent the hotel's electric bikes and reach Yulong River bamboo rafting and the Ten-Mile Gallery in just 20 minutes; the bikes are in great condition, making transportation super convenient. It's about a 40-minute drive from Yangshuo Station. If you're driving, there's free underground parking, so no worries there.
🏨 **[Impeccable Design, 100% Photo-Worthy]**
The light industrial design really spoke to me! The lobby is thoughtfully decorated, with a stylish spiral staircase. The public areas also feature a coffee corner and a reading nook, perfect for capturing atmospheric photos. We stayed in the West Street Night View King Room. The room layout was well-designed, and the large floor-to-ceiling windows offered panoramic views of the vibrant West Street nightlife, with glimpses of the distant undulating mountains – beautiful both day and night. The most pleasant surprise was the soundproofing. Despite being right next to West Street, the soundproof windows kept the noise out, allowing even light sleepers to enjoy a full night's rest.
🛏️ **[Comfortable Details for a Worry-Free Stay]**
The bedding features a KingKoil zero-pressure mattress, soft and comfortable, providing instant relaxation. The pillows and duvet were high-quality, ensuring a natural wake-up call. The room facilities were comprehensive, with smart home controls throughout – just a voice command to switch lights or open/close curtains. The separate wet and dry bathroom was clean and tidy, with ample hot water, and the disposable amenities were of unexpectedly high quality. For families with children, the Kids' Fun Family Room is available, equipped with rocking horses and children's toys. The hotel also has a dedicated children's play area, allowing kids to have fun while parents can relax.
ZZhaocaimiaoyimeiThis hotel is quite beautiful, right by the Lijiang River entrance. It's very convenient, just a 7-8 minute walk to West Street. The rooms are spacious and all offer scenic mountain and river views.
What truly stands out is their afternoon tea – it's delicious and fresh, almost comparable to a five-star hotel. Breakfast is also very rich, featuring many Cantonese dim sum dishes, as well as Guilin rice noodles. The food is definitely more refined than at other hotels. Their rooftop (or 'sky') area is especially expansive and great for photos, particularly when the sun is out.
11500517****The service from the Loyalty Department goes beyond being just 'thoughtful'; it feels more like the meticulous care of an old friend. Three days before my arrival, my dedicated client manager called to confirm my itinerary needs and informed me that a quiet, high-floor suite had already been reserved based on my past preferences. Upon arrival, the room was perfectly arranged to my liking: the curtains were half-open to let in natural light, and what touched me most was that she had pre-arranged a late checkout for me. The Loyalty Department has proven over time that true loyalty service isn't about points redemption, but about making each guest feel like a unique and cherished member of this family. Thank you for making every trip a comfortable experience for me.

AArio73This hotel is a wonderful place to unwind for anyone looking to escape the stress of city life. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptionally attentive every member of staff welcomed us warmly and always greeted us with a genuine smile.
The rooms are beautifully designed in a timeless style. What stood out to me most was the high level of cleanliness and the excellent amenities. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and you hardly want to leave your balcony. We also had a private whirlpool, which was perfect for this time of year and made our stay even more relaxing.
I would especially like to praise the housekeeping staff. The ladies did an outstanding job—everything was spotless, hygienic, and cleaned very thoroughly.
Another true highlight was the incredible food experience. Every afternoon we were treated to attentive afternoon service with desserts that were clearly prepared with love and care.
The breakfast deserves special mention. I have stayed at some of the best five-star resorts, and I can honestly say that the quality of the breakfast buffet here was outstanding. While it is smaller than those of large resort chains, it clearly follows the philosophy of quality over quantity, and nothing was missing. Many of the vegetables came from the hotel’s own garden, which made the experience feel even more authentic and fresh. The soup selection was excellent, and the beef soup was rich and generous—you could truly taste the passion and love the chef puts into their work.
The surrounding area offers several attractions, although some are unfortunately closed during the winter season. I would recommend arriving by car so you can visit places like the nearby waterfall and other sights. My only small criticism would be that the hotel could offer more excursion options for guests without a car. That said, we really appreciated that on our first evening we were kindly driven to the nearby small town for dinner.
The resort is also very family-friendly and offers a variety of activities for both adults and children, such as magnet crafting, fishing, and sports activities like yoga.
A very thoughtful gesture was made at checkout, when we were given rice from the hotel’s own cultivation. This was something I truly appreciated and found very meaningful.
I would definitely recommend this resort to everyone. My husband and I would love to return—next time in spring.

The front desk staff was incredibly gentle and even helped us decorate the room beautifully, which was such a thoughtful touch and made things so much easier for us. KKenny K.Beware before booking. You have to walk up about two-storey high staircase and about 50 meter route before arriving at the hotel counter. It may not be suitable for old people and who have knee/stair climbing problem. However, after the counter, there is lift to the rooms and the roof top cafe which you can have a good view of YangShou beautiful landscape. It is located infront of the West Street main entrance and local bus stops. Local buses are not so frequent here, but tourists can easily rent an electricity motor bike, price range from RMB20-30 per day to go around the tourist attractions.
11390131****I'd heard so much about this place, but staying here truly exceeded all expectations! This 'fairytale' hotel on the China-Vietnam border boasts a prime, central spot overlooking the stunning Mingshi River pastoral landscape. The environment is absolutely perfect, with beauty at every turn – it's like stepping into a living landscape painting of the Karst topography. You have to experience it to believe how breathtaking it is.
The atmosphere is incredible, enhanced by the warm hospitality: singing folk songs from enthusiastic Zhuang aunties, hot oil tea, embroidered ball welcoming ceremonies, and evening folk song rituals. Our butler, Nami, provided exceptional service throughout our stay – thoughtful, attentive, and incredibly responsive to all our requests. A huge thumbs up to her! Every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly. Room service was excellent; they even cleaned the hot tub with disinfectant before filling it, which made us feel very secure and relaxed.
The food was a delightful surprise: Liuzhou river snails rice noodles for breakfast, Zhuang-style pizza for dinner, and sweet soups for a late-night snack. The fusion menu at the 'Yun Zui' wine cellar was also beyond expectations, and the wine list had some fantastic surprises. The room offered complete privacy, and waking up to the panoramic mountain and river views right outside was simply magical. It's a photographer's dream – every shot turns out perfectly. This was truly an experience that surpassed all our expectations!
MM278715****The location is fantastic! Our balcony directly faced the Li River, offering nearly a 120-degree river view, even with some obstructions. We could watch fireworks at night and the sunrise over the Li River in the morning. The hotel's rooftop also has a beautiful 360-degree viewing platform. While the river view rooms face a quiet street, there are occasional pedestrians. It's only a one-minute walk to Yangshuo Pier and five minutes to West Street, with Wangjianglou (River-view Tower) along the way. The bedding was comfortable, and the service was excellent. We'll definitely stay here again.
Amenities: Well-equipped, high-quality products
Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy
Service: Received a souvenir when checking out, excellent service.
