Outstanding hotel, highly recommended. The rooms are large, comfortable and practical, with lovely views of the river. The bathrooms are especially nice, with large bathtubs. Breakfast is varied, with an excellent range of delicious food. The staff are extremely polite and helpful: they were able to check me in even at 3:00am after I arrived on the night train. The cleaners are quick, thorough and efficient, too. The staff provide thoughtful gifts like free oranges for Spring Festival. The hotel is well located for getting around Wuzhou, and all the taxi drivers know it. There seems to be lots to do within the hotel, too, including restaurants, a spa, a KTV lounge, a tea house and a swimming pool, so it would be excellent for large groups too.

1. The hygiene and environment are good.
2. In terms of facilities, the in-room toiletries are quite mediocre. The dental kit is very basic, even worse than what you'd find at hotels like Orange Crystal or Atour in Beijing. For a hotel priced at 1500-2500, it's unacceptable that it's inferior to 400-800 yuan hotels like Orange Crystal and Atour. The shower gel and shampoo are also from large pump bottles, costing 10-20 yuan online, again, not as good as Orange Crystal and Atour. We visited two other hotels/B&Bs of similar standing this trip, and their worst toiletries were L'Occitane.
3. Regarding service, the greetings, departures, and room service were fine. However, several points don't meet the standards for a hotel at this price point. Firstly, the hotel has four executive cars. We had five people going, three to West Street and two to Liu Sanjie. We requested one car to drop off two people at Liu Sanjie (which is 1.5km from West Street), but they refused. (Free delivery to West Street is included in their service.) In contrast, the other two hotels of similar standard, despite having only one executive car, never refused free shuttle services. They offer free shuttle within 7km, and even proactively offered rides beyond 10km. The difference is just too stark. Secondly, regarding room keys, since we had a large group and needed to split up, and the elevators require card access, we asked Liangsu to provide an extra room key for each room. This request was repeatedly denied. I don't understand why a hotel of this caliber can't provide such a basic service that even ordinary hotels offer. Thirdly, the hotel breakfast is very average, barely on par with Orange Crystal or Atour. For this price, it's really disappointing. The other two hotels of similar standing not only offered a wider variety of breakfast items, but also had exquisite dishes including shrimp and sea cucumber, and you could dine until 12 PM! Liangsu only serves until 10 AM. In comparison, I really can't give it a high rating. As for the unique scenic view from the room, honestly, many hotels offer that, and it didn't feel particularly amazing.

Excellent hotel with a beautiful view of the river in the city center. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. The rooms have new and modern furniture. They are spacious enough and have everything you need for an excellent vacation - slippers, toothbrushes, comb, soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There is a water kettle and a hairdryer. The room is cleaned every day, water and tea are replenished.
The service and cleanliness are really perfect. There is also a self-service washing machine and dryer available to hotel guests. Breakfast is in the restaurant on the first floor. Everything is fresh and delicious. They have made good choice for the taste of European guests. Food is constantly replenished. We want to say big thank you to all the staff for the excellent service and kind attitude. We are sorry that we were only three nights here. We wish you good luck, health and success!

🏩 FANTASTIC PREMIUM hotel with outstanding service and a perfect location — close to West Street and the Impression Liu Sanjie show, yet peaceful and surrounded by mountains.
An absolutely stunning view of the mountains. 🗻🗻🗻
100% Special thanks to our housekeeper, Xiao-Lu, for her kindness and help with everything, especially arranging great tickets for the show.
We also truly appreciated the room upgrade — the rooftop jacuzzi room was incredible.
Delicious breakfasts and dinners, excellent coffee, cozy atmosphere, and convenient motorbike rental nearby. We didn’t want to leave and would definitely stay again!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in is the Wyndham Garden Hotel - Liuzhou, offering a truly luxurious experience that easily reaches five-star level or even higher.
The hotel has a very prime location in the heart of the city. I stayed in apartment 6008, which faces directly the river and the music fountain—an absolutely stunning view, especially in the evening. The room is very spacious, with a large TV screen and a modern bathroom equipped with a smart toilet.
The service is outstanding in every sense. All the staff are extremely kind and professional, especially Eason Huang, who speaks English fluently.
Another highlight of the hotel is its attention to detail. Toiletries are provided and refreshed daily, and the mini bar is completely free and regularly restocked with drinks, which is quite rare.
The hotel is also very close to the Food Street, where you can enjoy a wide variety of delicious dishes, especially seafood. In addition, the hotel offers a daily open buffet breakfast and free coffee service in the evening.
The cleanliness is exceptional—the hotel feels almost brand new. Security is excellent, and during your stay you truly feel like an important guest or even royalty. One of the most memorable experiences was the swimming pool on the 12th floor overlooking the river.
I highly recommend staying in apartment 6008, especially for those who appreciate beautiful views and a true luxury experience.

Today was really pleasant. The hotel's 6th floor offers complimentary afternoon tea, and the views from up there are absolutely stunning – a lush green landscape that's very picturesque. Coupled with today's fantastic weather, I spent a good half hour there. If I didn't have to visit the nearby attractions, I would have loved to stay longer. Plus, the front desk staff were very friendly. This stay truly exceeded my expectations.

The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options right downstairs. The subway is also conveniently located a short walk away. Rita and Arthur at the front desk were incredibly efficient and provided excellent service; I was very impressed with their work ethic. The breakfast buffet service was also very attentive, and the room cleaning was meticulous. However, to be fair, the service and attitude of some individual staff members in the executive lounge towards children could use some improvement.

The hotel is within walking distance to scenic spots like Elephant Trunk Hill and Jingjiang Palace, and right next to ZhengYang Pedestrian Street, making it super convenient to find food. You take an escalator up to the second floor, and the atrium with its high ceiling feels really grand. The 17th-floor rooftop offers fantastic photo opportunities with the Twin Pagodas and Elephant Trunk Hill. The rooms are quite spacious, though the shower is a bit small, and the hotel shows its age a little.

Best breakfast in China!
Xiaoming was very helpful with anything we needed and very generous.
There are e-scooters to use, which you really need. Guilin traffic is not for the feint heated though and this is certainly not the place to learn to ride an old e-scooter.
At first I wondered why I had booked a place so far out of town but in the end, with the scooter it didn't really matter.
The room has seen better days and the lack of ventilation means high humidity from the shower mist, meaning sweaty nights, which isn't good.
Didn't like the fact the music was left on ALL night below in the breakfast room as you can hear it in the room!

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel had the perfect location — close to everything yet peaceful enough to truly relax. Waking up to the breathtaking views of Yangshuo’s stunning karst mountains felt unreal every single day.
The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained, making it easy to feel at home after a long day of exploring. What made the experience even more memorable was the staff. Ms. Wem and everyone were incredibly warm, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. They went above and beyond by helping us arrange activities, tours, and transportation to all the places we wanted to visit around Yangshuo, which made our trip smooth and stress-free.
From start to finish, the hospitality was exceptional. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Yangshuo — we would gladly stay here again!

YYidanchichichiRight at the entrance of West Street! For two people, it was just a little over 200 yuan! In Yangshuo, I found my dream hotel!
The lobby is stylish and minimalist with an industrial vibe, two stories high, and even has a spiral staircase perfect for photos!
The front desk offers complimentary tea, a reading area, a laundry room, an outdoor terrace, and a children's play area. Plus, there are free ethnic costumes for guests to take pictures in!
Breakfast includes Guilin rice noodles.
It's only a 10-minute electric scooter ride to attractions like Impression Sanjie Liu and Romance Park!
GGuest UserA hidden gem by the Yulong River, perfect for a family retreat! ✨
Choosing the right accommodation truly elevated our Yangshuo trip, and the Yangshuo Xishi Jinshe (Shili Gallery Yulong River Store) is a divine hotel nestled amidst the mountains and rivers. Our experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish – I wholeheartedly recommend it!
Before I dive into the review, I have to praise the service. It was thoughtful, warm, attentive, and considerate throughout our stay, making us feel incredibly cherished. 🥰
The hotel's location is absolutely stunning, right by the Qinglong Bridge on the Yulong River. From the large floor-to-ceiling window next to our bed, we had direct views of the continuous karst peaks and the gently flowing Yulong River, with bamboo rafts slowly drifting by our window. Every glance offered a picturesque, ink-wash painting-like scene. The design is simple yet sophisticated, blending perfectly with the natural landscape. The super-large floor-to-ceiling windows, courtyard lawn, and the rooftop 'sky mirror' all provided perfect photo opportunities. The environment is serene and peaceful, completely away from the hustle and bustle, creating an incredibly immersive atmosphere.
I must commend the service again; it was exceptionally thoughtful, offering full butler-style service. Every front desk staff member was enthusiastic and meticulous, always ready to assist with any questions. The attention to detail was impeccable, making the entire experience relaxing and heartwarming. We initially booked for only two nights, planning to try another hotel for a different view, but we were so touched by the service that we extended our stay for another two nights. The service was truly exceptional.
The downstairs restaurant exceeded our expectations. The ingredients were fresh and authentic. The Guilin rice noodles, beer fish, and braised chicken 🐓 were all delicious, and the eggplant 🍆 and green beans were incredibly fragrant. We had dinner there four times in a row, and each meal was satisfying and enjoyable; our whole family loved the food.
The hotel's infinity pool offers direct views of the beautiful mountains and rivers. Our children spent several afternoons playing there. The area around the pool is comfortable and well-equipped, allowing adults to relax and enjoy the scenery while the kids have fun.
It was a truly healing and immersive experience amidst the mountains and rivers. The environment, service, dining, and facilities were all top-notch. Whether for a relaxing getaway or a family trip, this is definitely a treasure choice for a stay in Yangshuo!

JJinwoo sungA truly amazing stay! Living here felt like stepping into a painting - the location offers a fantastic view in the midst of the Karst mountains and is right next to 遇龙河. It was very convenient to go rafting down the river and a short driver away from 西街. The amenities are fantastic - everyday there's complement noodle breakfast and the option between afternoon tea and cocktails at the bar at night. The host is also amicable and has fantastic local hiking spot and food recommendations! There's also a pool and free laundry😃

GGuest UserFirst off, the location is absolutely superb, right by the Li River. It's just a few hundred meters from the dock where the cruise from Guilin disembarks, and it's also very close to West Street, making evening strolls incredibly convenient. The room's style is both rustic and fresh, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, and all the facilities are complete. The view from the outdoor window is full of greenery, and sitting on the balcony, enjoying the river breeze, truly feels like a vacation. The restaurant downstairs is a must-visit in Yangshuo, and staying here means you can skip the queue. The dishes are affordably priced, and I highly recommend everyone to try it!
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Alila Yangshuo (formerly known as Yangshuo Sugar House Hotel). It is a very nice hotel with beautiful surroundings and a unique atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and always helpful throughout our stay. The location was great — convenient yet still scenic and relaxing.
The food was also excellent, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the welcome drink and the tea break arrangement in the room. The hotel offers many complimentary and chargeable activities, which gave us plenty of things to enjoy during our stay. We were especially impressed by the photographer — very professional and did a great job capturing memorable moments for us.
A special mention to the hotel team for being very considerate with checkout arrangements. They automatically offered us a late checkout to better match our train schedule, which made our departure much more comfortable and stress-free.
Two areas for improvement: the coffee with milk didn’t seem to be heated properly (we experienced a similar issue at other hotels too, so it may be related to the type of coffee machines commonly used here). Also, the hotel is next to a busy road — while the room’s sound insulation is fairly good, traffic noise could still be disturbing for light sleepers like my wife.
Overall, it was still a great experience, and we would gladly return.
GGuest UserBooked a room at Shangri-La Guilin via Trip.com, and my experience far exceeded expectations! The river-view room offered an amazing vista, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly overlooking the breathtaking Li River scenery. Waking up to the misty morning view felt like stepping into a painting – absolutely enchanting. Although the hotel has been open for many years, it's exceptionally well-maintained, exuding an elegant charm without feeling dated, truly showcasing the quality of a seasoned five-star establishment. I was pleasantly surprised to encounter peacocks on the grounds and even got to see one display its stunning feathers up close – it was both graceful and therapeutic. The breakfast is arguably the best among hotels in Guilin; it boasts a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options, with authentic freshly made Guilin rice noodles and quick replenishment of fresh items. The service was attentive and thoughtful throughout, making my entire stay comfortable and hassle-free. This is definitely a must-stay when visiting Guilin; I'll choose it again on my next trip!

BBuergehasilalishiminI chose the newly opened TUI BLUE Yangshuo Xiangelai for my recent staycation, and I was genuinely impressed with my two-day stay. Here's my full experience:
🏨 Public Areas: Bringing Karst Landscapes Indoors
The overall design incorporates the surrounding peaks as its gateway, with light and shadow setting the scene. The grand dome of the lobby features fiber optic lights reminiscent of fishing fires on the Li River.
The outdoor infinity pool, nestled among the peaks, makes you feel like you're swimming within an ink wash painting – serene and picture-perfect.
🛏️ Rooms: Panoramic Luxury from 52 sqm
Even the basic rooms start at 52 sqm, offering generous, unconfined space. Each room boasts smart home technology, underfloor heating, and a scenic balcony, showing great attention to detail.
With 270° floor-to-ceiling windows, you can simply open them to witness the misty peaks. Wake up to stunning mountain sunrises right from your bed. The Joloves amenities and goose-down bedding feel incredibly soft and luxurious. The soundproofing at night was excellent, ensuring a very peaceful sleep during my stay.
✨ Hardware & Service: Understated Luxury, Experience First
The butler service was thoughtful and attentive, proactively planning itineraries and assisting with ticket bookings. They even offer a professional photographer for travel shots (Figures 12-15).
The breakfast offers a mix of Chinese and Western options, with freshly made Guilin rice noodles that are authentic and delicious. The afternoon tea (Figures 10-11) is exquisite and perfectly complements the mountain views, creating a truly delightful experience.
📍 Location: Beautiful from Every Angle
Directly opposite the 'Impression Sanjie Liu' show, it's just a 2-minute walk away. It's also conveniently located for accessing the Yulong River and West Street, easily reachable by electric scooter. The hotel offers a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling area, ensuring excellent privacy.
By day, open your window to the serene Karst peaks; by night, enjoy the spectacle of 'Impression Sanjie Liu' lights – truly offering the best of both worlds.
💡 In summary, TUI BLUE Yangshuo Xiangelai perfectly balances natural landscapes, aesthetics, and luxurious comfort. There's no exaggerated extravagance, just an understated yet high-end sense of comfort. For a vacation in Yangshuo, this is definitely a choice for quality that will leave a lasting impression. GGuest UserStaying at a B&B can feel like a lucky dip, and this time, I hit the jackpot! This guesthouse is right near Observation Deck No. 1, and the owner told me all their rooms have rice paddy views – those photos below were taken from my room. You can even catch the morning mist! The owner is super nice, the room was spotless and tidy, and it even came with a washing machine.

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts stylish decor and spotlessly clean rooms. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our trip comfortable and convenient.
