Traveling to and from Nagoya by bus, this hotel is super close to the Nohi Bus Center, making its location very convenient. Hida Beef Restaurant Ajikura Tengoku is also nearby, about a 3-minute walk away. The room felt a bit small. The Premium Twin room is probably meant for up to three people, but for two guests, it felt like a waste of space. The hotel's cleaning service was also minimal; they changed towels and emptied the trash, which was sufficient. On the second floor, you can enjoy drinks and relax. I didn't visit the large public bath, but I did try the foot bath, and since no one else was there, it was quite relaxing.

Beautiful traditional Property! The property had plenty of onsen baths available and also has a private Bath you could book for ¥3300. There is also a swimming pool with the bathwater. The hotel is very child friendly and has an arcade with games and claw machines. Recommend to bring cash so you can play the games in the arcade to entertain the kids. The property is very convenient within a three minute walking distance from the train station. There is also a free shuttle bus that will pick up / drop off passengers from the train station once you get out of Gero train station it is directly there it takes less than 1 minute to drive to the property very convenient if we have a lot of luggage.

Stayed in a double room for one night in April 2025 [Good points] - Well-equipped bathing facilities - Massage chairs available for free [Points to note] - The hotel is visible from JR Gifu Station, but it is a little far away [Overall review] Dormy Inn hotels have a wide range of bathing facilities, so you can use them with peace of mind. I was tired from traveling, so I was grateful to be able to use the massage chair for free for 15 minutes after bathing.

Everything was wonderful! The room had its own private plunge pool, and there were two outdoor hot springs that you could reserve for your group to enjoy without anyone else around. Dinner and breakfast were served in a traditional Japanese style, which felt very authentic. What really sets this ryokan apart is that the main dish for dinner is Hida beef from the region. The service was top-notch; everyone was so welcoming and kind. After checking in, you change into traditional attire, and the hotel provides everything else, right down to facial cream. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

An excellent choice for its proximity to Takayama station. Hotel has jacuzzi pool and misty sauna for guests to use. There are lots of dining options around the hotel and the morning markets are within walking distances. Will be back again on my next trip back to Takayama. Takayama is beautiful at sunset and lovely walks around town.

I love this hotel! 1) The view from the hotel is so beautiful. Even inside the Onsen. 2) The customer service is very nice. A very relaxing place. 3) Breakfast is delicious and there is a very nice garden where you can take photos. Highly recommended.

I stayed here on a solo trip to hike the Nakasendo trail. The hotel offers a shuttle bus from the station, which made getting around very convenient. I booked a meal-inclusive plan, and both breakfast and dinner were served in a private room. All I had to do was show up at the designated time. The food was delicious! 😋 The room was clean, and being nestled in the mountains, it was wonderfully quiet with fresh air. 👍 The hot spring was also perfect for soothing my tired legs after hiking. Plus, for a hot spring ryokan, the value for money is excellent! I'd love to stay here again. Highly recommend! ❗️

The third time staying in this hotel over the past 5 years. Disappointingly, no improvement was seen, particularly the quality of food presumably to be of high quality for luxurious rooms with private onsen. Routinized Japanese Haute cuisine with no surprise, four small pieces of signature Hida wagyu could only be seen as a decoration. Yet the price was relatively high with over five hundred US dollars for a two-person one night stay (breakfast and dinner included). The service, the food, the environment, etc. require considerable improvement.

Good variety at breakfast and the view at breakfast room was beautiful. Free parking facility is next to the hotel, no shelter walkway but able to accommodate many cars. Room was clean and big and had all essentials. Unfortunately did not get to try the onsen but i'm sure it would have been nice.

A basic hotel with all the necessary amenities for daily use. Ideal for travelers taking the train to/from Ena Station before or after the Nakasendo Trail. The small town offers a pleasant stroll with a few hidden gems to discover. Good for a simple, convenient stay.
