YunyunThe hotel's location is excellent; you can take the elevator directly up from the JR station. The front desk staff are all very kind and friendly, especially one gentleman who speaks Chinese. The entrance design for the ladies' public bath is a bit odd, lacking sufficient privacy, and the changing room area feels a bit cramped. The lounge on the same floor offers beautiful views, facing the sea, and you can see A-Factory and other Aomori landmarks directly. The lounge provides drinks and even small snacks in the evening. There's an ice cream freezer next to the front desk, which is perfect after a bath. The hotel also offers activities like yoga and Pilates, which I didn't get a chance to try this time. Although it was the most basic room type, we were on the 10th floor with great views. On our second day, we saw a huge rainbow and even experienced an earthquake – a truly unforgettable experience! I would definitely choose to stay here again when I visit Aomori.

We thought it's going to be fresh in August up the mountain but it wasn't. Very hot and without air-conditioning you'll be suffering. Rooms are tiny and it barely fit 4 people. Road to get there is rough so make sure you have an off road car (the last 5 min only). The onsen is insanely beautiful especially the women's. Food was pre-served and left out in the heat to stand. Didn't look particularly appealing. Shared bathrooms.

Dormy Inn chain hotels rarely disappoint me, and this still holds for Hirosaki one. It is close to Hirosaki Castle rather than Hirosaki Station, but the city has a circular bus that runs every 10 min., and the bus stop for the hotel is just across the road, so it’s not a problem for those who arrive by train.
The room is moderate in size by Japan business hotel standard, but it has the added benefits of offering relaxation onsens. As usual, its onsens have both open and indoor pools. This hotel also has cold water pool and sauna. You get free Yakult in the morning, ice pops in the afternoon till late evening. I recommend.

野明爵士A very sincere family-run hot spring hotel. The hostess is the mother and the son is the boss. They are both very enthusiastic and attentive. The hospitality is top-notch and full of warmth. There is a small corridor in the side hall for free flow after 5 o'clock😎 Various alcoholic drinks and my favorite Aomori apple juice. The boss played the shamisen to entertain everyone. The atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast and dinner were very rich. The local cuisine was fresh and delicious. Free flow continued 🤣 The room was very spacious and clean. I slept very well. The large bath will not disappoint. I slept until dawn after taking a bath. The three-day and two-night stay was really comfortable.

Guest UserThe hotel was great and the view is unbeatable. The ”bath with a view” is incredible and relaxing. It's a bit further out of the already very small town than other locations, so you're going to be in for a 10 ish minute walk to anywhere except the beach. The hotel staff does not speak much English, but were very helpful all the same. The WiFi didn't really reach all the way to my room. Overall, great stay!

I absolutely love Japanese onsen hotels. Imagine, after a long day of traveling, you can just soak in a hot bath all evening – pure bliss! (╹◡╹)
Overall, Hoshino Resorts is very conveniently located. It's just a 10-minute walk from the nearest JR Misawa Station, or you can easily book the hotel's shuttle bus.
For dining, you can book the buffet in advance through their official website, which is convenient and hassle-free. The variety of dishes is also quite extensive.
Regarding activities, the hotel has a fairly concentrated game area. Some activities are free, while others have a fee. You can check the details and plan ahead on their official website.

The staff always treats you politely.
I had coffee after breakfast, but I thought I would have a paper cup and a lid.
