Stayed here a few times. Staff amazingly friendly. Extremely clean. Great location for the Philharmonic, in fact, almost directly opposite. Also close to both cathedrals. Thumbs up for the biscuits in the room. Also had a very tasty meal, in the bar. My hubby had a bad knee and the staff kindly gave him an ice bucket half full to take to our room to make a cold compress.

Breakfast is Western food. If you like Western food, it’s okay. Chinese people who don’t like Western food shouldn’t have breakfast. In short, there’s nothing delicious in the UK.

Had a luxurious experience at the Municipal Hotel, where the service was impeccable. Despite the lobby service being slow due to limited staff, the friendly team and delicious breakfast made up for it.
I was pleasantly surprised by a thoughtful birthday macaroon prepared by the hotel, adding a special touch to my stay. The staff's attention to detail and personalized gestures enhanced my experience further.
Overall, the Municipal Hotel provides a luxurious atmosphere with excellent service, friendly staff, and delightful surprises like the birthday macaroon. It's a place where you can truly feel valued and appreciated as a guest.”
A hotel with no bright spots, saying that the old is not old, and that the new is not new. The little milk bag for drinking tea in the room was opened by the last guest, but it was not cleaned and kept for me. The breakfast is very simple, the English breakfast is a little bit simple and there are few other options, and it is not worth the price of more than 2,000.
Wow what a find! Really cool hotel. Bedrooms were huge and well appointed. Bar and restaurant were really good, great service from Staff and really lovely breakfast available. Hotel was a rum warehouse previously and the concierge (Michael/martin .. sorry I can’t remember his name) went out of his way to tell us about the hotel and its famous staircase and about the history of the area. I’d wholeheartedly recommend. Finishing touch was very reasonably priced on site parking.
The spa was nice, but the bed had bed bugs, and I got bitten. The shower didn’t have a handheld option, and the water pressure was poor.
I checked in at 11 AM, which was fine, but when we returned at 9 PM, I mentioned to the reception that we needed the beds split, but that never happened. The manager came over and started complaining. I reminded him that our request had been confirmed in the morning. He was a bit temperamental at first, but it calmed down when I asked for an extra duvet.
