The service was very welcoming, and the hotel's decor was quite stylish and beautiful. However, some of the in-room dining dishes didn't quite match the pictures. After the food arrived, I had to make two calls, which might be due to a lack of timely communication between the housekeeping and dining departments. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider booking again.
This stay was absolutely perfect! The environment was clean and tidy, and the common areas were fresh and spacious. We booked a family suite, and the room was huge with excellent natural light and ventilation. The cleanliness was exceptional, even the hard-to-reach corners were spotless. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – so we slept incredibly well. The staff were gentle and thoughtful, responding quickly to any requests. It's super convenient for dining, drinking, and getting around. Overall, the value for money is outstanding. Highly recommended, this is definitely my top choice for accommodation in the area!
Staying at a desert hotel for the first time was quite an experience! I thought the courtyard rooms would open up to a desert view, but the 'courtyard' was more like a small balcony, which felt a bit pointless. You have to go to the rooftop for a view. Only the hot spring rooms offer a direct desert view from the door. The room itself was a bit dim but overall nice, and the bedding was comfortable. What I disliked was the bathtub in the living room with no privacy whatsoever. It's really just for show because you can't use it with family or friends around. It would have been better if it wasn't there at all; the pictures when booking didn't make this clear. The hotel's Chinese restaurant had excellent food, though a bit pricey, which is understandable considering it's in the desert. Breakfast would be fine if it were complimentary, but on the first day, we paid an extra 260 for my child's portion, and there wasn't much good to eat – she just had a glass of milk and two cookies. The next day, I learned my lesson: a glass of milk at the bar was only 40-50, and ordering food from the Chinese restaurant separately still came out to less than 200. The goji berry latte at the bar was delicious! The service was great, every staff member was enthusiastic and dedicated.
The first hotel I stayed in when I came to Yinchuan. Everything in the new hotel is very new. You can see that the decoration and equipment are also carefully designed, such as hair dryers, toothbrushes, electric toilets, humidifiers, etc. The room is quite large and has a balcony. The environment is also very clean, minimalist style, the service attitude is also very good, and the front desk lady is great~
The disadvantage is that the location is a bit remote, there are not many restaurants nearby, and you have to drive there, so it is recommended to pack breakfast. But it is still very close to the Western Xia Imperial Mausoleum, so it is recommended to check in there. Then after checking in to the new hotel, it is still recommended to open the window for ventilation.
The room was clean and sanitary. I stayed here for three days. Breakfast is also good. There are steamed cereals, Western pastries, cold dishes and hot dishes every day. They are very child-friendly and basically not spicy. Yogurt, pudding, milk, soy milk and porridge are available. Diagonally opposite the hotel is Xiangyang Street (BBQ Street).
The hotel is also conveniently located to several attractions in the city. It only takes 3-5 minutes to walk to the Drum Tower and Gaomiao. There is a park behind Chairman Mao, and across the park is the Gaomiao. Zhongwei Museum is a 6-minute taxi ride away.
The hotel staff are all warm and polite. I left my mobile phone charging cable behind when I left. The cleaning staff found it in time and the lady at the front desk picked it up for me and brought it back down. She also gave souvenirs to the children. I’m really happy! The child asked why he should stay at Guyu Jasmine Hotel next time he comes to Zhongwei.
Hygiene: Very clean, exceptionally good.
Facilities: Brand new, incredibly well-equipped.
Environment: The environment is excellent, clean, cozy, and comfortable.
Service: Extremely practical, and the service is outstanding.
Exquisite Afternoon Tea: The afternoon tea was delicious and freshly made.
This stay was such a pleasant surprise! The environment was clean and comfortable, and the attention to detail was impressive. The surrounding amenities are convenient, and the service was warm and welcoming, making for a truly enjoyable stay. They proactively explained all the facilities during check-in. The room environment exceeded expectations; it was impeccably clean and tidy. The location is super convenient, right next to Huirong Shopping Mall, and Yuhuangge Scenic Area is just behind the hotel. It's close to attractions and shopping districts, with easy access to dining and shopping. There's a free laundry room, which is a lifesaver for last-minute laundry, and you can even dry your clothes. They also provide local travel tips – definitely worth a visit!
Finally, I understand what the travel guides mean: if you haven't stayed at the Star Hotel, you haven't truly experienced Shapotou! The environment, dining, and service are simply exceptional. We stayed in Zone A and even saw fireworks at night 🎆. What's most commendable is the hotel's parent-child science education. We unfortunately missed the stargazing due to cloudy weather, but the desert hike the next morning was a pleasant surprise! Teachers Wendy and Xiaomei, who led the hike, were professional and thorough in their explanations. Even our four-year-old kept up perfectly, learning about many desert plants and spotting a little lizard 🦎 with them. It not only built our child's resilience but also fostered an appreciation and awareness for protecting nature, making our desert trip truly meaningful.
Our brief interactions left us with wonderful memories, and we hope the Star Hotel continues to thrive.
The hotel facilities and hardware are good, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is rich. The only thing that is surprising is the service attitude, especially at the front desk. During the entire check-in, the person was cold and dejected, as if she owed her two buckets of rice. Breakfast The waiter also had no sense of service. When asked if there were fried eggs, the answer was no. The machine was broken, as if it was a matter of course. Western pastries were provided for breakfast, but no knives and forks were provided. I had to spread the bread with my mouth and dig out the jam with chopsticks! As a service industry, I believe this is closely related to the general manager of the hotel. I hope it will attract attention!
Very satisfied with the desert hotel, the children have a great time. 1️⃣ is very clean and hygienic, and the desert view can be seen in the room. The surrounding environment of the hotel is beautiful, there are small waters, swings and skid trampolines, small pavilion 2️⃣ The service is very thoughtful and considerate, and the butler WeChat reply is timely and patient. I prepared sand digging tools and sand pads for the children. provided sweet and refreshing watermelon. It’s great to eat watermelon in the desert. The restaurant noodles and barbecue taste good. 3️⃣ The pool and activities are very good. The hotel's research activities, stargazing, making wheat grass squares, desert water collection, bonfire party, fireworks, all left us with good memories.

GGuest UserThis hotel was a bit unexpected. I originally wanted to visit attractions in Xixia District, so I searched for a hotel with good reviews. It turned out to be in a tourist attraction, which was amazing. The hotel has an annex and a main building. Try to stay in the main building. The overall facilities of the annex are the same as those of a hospital ward. I asked the staff and they said it was a nursing home before. It feels a bit scary. Of course, it doesn't matter if you don't care.
The facilities in the main building of the hotel are much newer, and breakfast and hot springs are also convenient. However, the hot springs are really mediocre, especially the shower area, which has a smell. Maybe it's because of the May Day holiday.
The attractions are quite novel, and I saw the most people during the May Day holiday. The quality of various performances is very high, and the NPCs are very dedicated and professional, and their appearance is also online. I watched the Helan Festival and the big circus, and the price-performance ratio is not bad.
The service is generally good, whether it is the restaurant or the guest room, the service awareness is not bad.

GGuest UserThe front desk lady is warm and patient, and can communicate and deal with problems in time, 100 points. The room infrastructure is complete, there are sofas, tables, comfortable and soft mattresses, and automatic curtains are closed. There is also a good viewing experience with a giant curtain. The bathroom is well equipped, the toilet is clean, and it is equipped with two disposable bath towels and face towels. Toothbrushes are suitable for all kinds of travel, such as couples, parents and children. Equipped with elevators, convenient transportation nearby, soundproof environment without noise. There are also a variety of delicious restaurants and delicacies nearby, full of fireworks, in summary, is a hotel with high cost performance.
