Sea View Hotels in Yunnan, China

Stayed here for 2 nights, but in two different rooms, so I got to experience both. Overall, the hotel has a great view and a generally comfortable stay. It is a bit far from most main attractions, although it is relatively close to the railway station. There is a nearby bus station (Line 6), but getting to the Ancient Town and other popular areas is still quite far, so using Didi is often the easier option. The lobby also provides tea, coffee, and water, which is a nice touch. My first room was on the 2nd floor and felt very modern and new. The bed was especially comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-designed — I really liked this room. My second room was on the 5th floor, and there is no lift in the building, so carrying luggage up the stairs can be quite tiring. The staff kindly helped me, which I really appreciated, especially since it was quite a lot of effort. This room had a nice view, but it felt a bit older compared to the first one, especially the bathroom. If I had to choose, I personally preferred the first room for its newer feel and comfort, but both stays were still pleasant in different ways.

This guesthouse is located just outside the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The owner was exceptionally warm and helpful, thoroughly explaining nearby attractions and thoughtfully recommending must-visit spots while also highlighting places to avoid, which saved us a ton of planning hassle. The two dogs at the guesthouse are also incredibly charming – one is a chilled-out, lazy sweetheart named Huanxi, and the other, Shi-yi, is full of energy and loves toys, both providing endless comfort. The daily breakfast noodles were surprisingly delicious, and they even provided complimentary sodas like Coke and 7-Up. Dali's scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, and this stay was absolutely perfect. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We will be back! This felt like a home away from home, except it had such a wonderful view of the lake. The host was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to the railway station, which was very handy for us as we came over from Kunming and then went back. You're close to many of the central places and with DiDi taxi, it's super easy to get around from here. We will for sure book here again; we're already planning a visit back.

By Erhai Lake, I live my day like a slow poem... No need to chase the scenery, I wake up right in it 🌿 In the morning, light peeks through the curtains, softly landing on my pillow. I sit by the window with a cup of coffee, watching Erhai Lake slowly awaken. The breeze is gentle, the water shimmers serenely, as if breathing for me~~ Breakfast 🍳 is a double delight for both sight and taste— Exquisite dishes transform in the play of light and shadow. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, clouds drift slowly, and people sit at leisure. 🏡 Some memorable glimpses: · Ground floor seaside garden: Green lawn, Cangshan mountains, and Erhai Lake, pristine like a newborn dream. · Swing lobby: 180-degree sea view. No need to compete with the scenery, it's already the perfect composition.

This review comes purely from my personal experience, and this place offers 100% amazing value for money! It completely redefined my perception of a guesthouse stay. I've always loved ******* culture, so when I came to the ******* area, I chose Sangzhu Boutique House. From the moment I walked in, the experience was fantastic. First, the butler warmly greeted me and presented me with a Hada (a traditional ceremonial scarf). Stepping further in, there were various lounge areas on both sides, and even a Thangka painting experience zone. Going one more level in, you'd find the front desk, with a beautifully decorated Tibetan-style reception area. After checking in, I proceeded to the accommodation area. I went up to the second floor, to a suite that had been upgraded. The traditional door lock opened to reveal ******* paintings and two exquisite ******* copper ornaments – truly stunning. Inside was the living room, where a welcome afternoon tea was laid out. The butter tea was delicious, and the yogurt, cookies, and other treats were all excellent. The bedroom was further inside. The side door to the bedroom led to a meticulously designed bathroom, with a copper bathtub and sink that felt incredibly authentic. The curtains and ceiling throughout the suite showcased a carefully crafted ******* style. The restaurant was also beautifully set up, with fresh flowers on the dining tables. The staff even taught us how to make Tsampa (a traditional ******* staple), which was a great experience. The butler service was impeccable. Every experience, from the hardware facilities to the decorations and arrangements, made me feel that a lot of thought and care had been put in, with a customer-centric philosophy. Absolutely exceptional value for money! Finally, due to altitude sickness, I had to leave earlier than planned. The staff immediately helped me with the check-out process and assisted with my luggage, which I greatly appreciated. Everything about this place left me extremely satisfied. For anyone who loves ******* culture and wants to experience it, I highly recommend coming here!

Extremely comfortable with welcome fruit, breakfast, and afternoon tea all provided. The mini-fridge was well-stocked too. The service was incredibly attentive; they were waiting for us half an hour before our high-speed train arrived, and the moment we stepped out, they were right there. It was super convenient for getting taxis and ordering takeout, and we didn't have to carry our luggage. The restaurants they recommended were all fantastic, we ate like kings! They even upgraded our room type, which had a stunning view, and there was a photographer available to take great shots of us at the hotel.

Choosing this place for your Erhai Lake trip is definitely the right call. It's close to all the major attractions, making it perfect for both sightseeing and relaxation. Parking is free and unlimited, so you can come and go as you please. The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of space – not cramped at all. All the facilities were complete and in good working order, and the environment was quiet. The staff were very attentive and the overall stay felt secure and comfortable.

This hotel offers an exceptional sea view! Located in Dali Golden Coast Manor, it boasts an unobstructed, first-row view with 270° floor-to-ceiling windows and a sea-view balcony. You can lie in bed and admire the Cangshan mountains and Erhai lake, enjoying both sunrise and sunset. The design is very stylish and picture-perfect, with an aerial garden and glass observation deck that make it easy to snap Instagram-worthy photos. The hardware quality is top-notch: a smart home system throughout (voice-controlled lights/curtains), smart toilets, thermostatic showers, and other intelligent features. The service is attentive, including a complimentary breakfast for two, coffee, tea, a chess and card room, music room, and fully equipped fitness room. It's quiet and private, situated in a villa area with few people, offering excellent privacy – perfect for unwinding. This is my second stay at the hotel!

On my first day in Dali, I checked into the Yueshanhai Hotel, nestled in the mountains near the ancient city. With a gentle drizzle and fresh air, a stroll through the garden was utterly delightful. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, restaurant, cafe, bar, book bar, and even billiards. On the third floor of Building 1, you'll find the Akashima Seaview Bar and the Seaview Book Bar, offering stunning views of the mountains and Erhai Lake. Don't forget to wake up early to catch the sunrise! The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding. The Herbal toiletries and bathtub for a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring are absolutely wonderful! Breakfast, served on the first floor of Building 2 at the Baini Restaurant, offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western options. The rice noodles with braised pork and Weishan stewed pork are incredibly fragrant and delicious!

The room is spacious and bright with a view of Erhai Lake, and right outside is a popular Canger Road photo spot. It's backed by Cangshan Mountain and overlooks Erhai Lake, making it quite convenient to get to the Ancient City and other nearby attractions. The breakfast was also quite varied, and the staff were all very warm and accommodating. I've stayed at Mercure hotels abroad before, but this was my first time in China, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it's part of the HUAZHU Group – felt a bit like home!
