What a lovely gem of a hotel! I was reluctantly (very reluctantly) persuaded to leave Beijing for the weekend and head for the nesrest beach - Qinhuangdao. The Bullet Train was great fun - we splashed out on first-class tickets and had the first-class cabin all to ourselves. Qinhuangdao was a welcome change of pace from the self-important hussle of Beijing. The bad things first - the weather was terrible and the beach itself is more 1970s Blackpool than present-day Antibes. But the Hampton by Hilton was a delightful surprise. The staff are absolutely delightful. Although they don’t speak English, the use of a few translation apps soon explained to them what we needed and they always did their best to look after us. The rooms are great - we even got a free upgrade to a suite. The breakfast options are many and varied. We were the only Western guests that weekend and the other guests seemed to be Chinese middle-class families. If I had to guess I would say they tended to be from other parts of China as they didn’t seem to be the usual rude impatient Beijingers. It was lovely to see Al the little children having fun with their parents. So, our thanks to the ladies at Reception, the young concierge guys, the housekeepers and the busy breakfast staff. The owners of the this hotel is blessed with great staff. Thank you all so much for looking after us so well.

The location is great, the night view is incredibly beautiful. But the hotel has very little understanding of privacy of their guests. A hotel personal entered our room without an invite while I was dressing up, another hotel worker took our picture without asking, front desk manager keeps all foreigner passport pictures in her personal phone. Should not hotel provide working phone to its personnels if it’s required to keep personal information from guests on phones?k Also hotel price does not match the service they are providing. The hotel room surfaces was in dust, and they do not clean after each visitor, we found pair of shoes from previous visitors. the room did not provide any drinkable water.

A true 5 Star experience. The room is top notch with a large window overlooking the sea. Service is outstanding in all categories. Breakfast is full and rich. The hotel dinner buffet is so extraordinary that I say you must try it at least once! We were amazed at the variety of dishes and the quality. Hotel location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk and you can have your feet in the sand or water. The Qinhuang Alley Food Street is also within walking distance or very short cab ride. This food street is very lively and fun to visit especially in the evening. Two other recommendations for things to do are Lao Long Tou (Old Dragon Head) which you can get to by cab. And if you are a fan of the Olympics you really should visit Olympic Avenue Park. Amazing relief sculpture wall over 300 meters long portraying Olympic history. Must be seen to be believed. Thank you to all the friendly and professional staff and chefs at Grand Hotel Qinhuang for making our 4 night stay so enjoyable. Qinhuangdao is a wonderful city with so many different things to do and experience we hope we can return again.

It was my husband birthday and booked Shangri-la, It was very clean and have a stunning view. The room has a nice smell. The reception was very cheerful, and they all could speak English. I requested a birthday theme for my husband's birthday and they designed the room with some towel, also send a free cake and red wine. ( I have to mention, Thank you dears) The breakfast was very delicious. We also tried the Buffet dinner one night, it was very delicious with both choices Chinese and Western. The swimming pool was clean.

A very nice service, listening to guest’s need. Fruit plate every afternoon with delicious fruits. I asked and got room changed due to noise and smell from kitchen. Also agreed to checkout 2 hours later than regular checkout time.

Overall it's pretty good! Although the room facilities are a bit old, the hygiene is still clean and the service attitude is great! Special thanks to Wu Shuyu for her help. She has been providing answers to various questions since the day of check-in and can meet our needs in a timely manner! The surrounding environment is also very beautiful, very close to the beach, and there are lounge chairs on the beach to rest. It feels very convenient to take the elderly there! The hot spring is also good, divided into indoor and outdoor temperatures. The outdoor hot spring is next to the beach, and the scenery is superb 👍🏻 There are non-powered facilities for children to play at the door of the hotel. It is really a good place to release energy! The hotel buffet is also OK, it's quite satisfactory, the crayfish tastes very good, and it's very good for the price of more than 100 yuan. I will go again when I have time!

The scenery was STUNNING. If you are planning to take a quick 2-3 day trip to the beach, this location is perfect. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk to the public beaches and a couple parks. The service and food at the restaurant was mediocre, but everything else was exceptional. Quite a few seafood options available in the area, but not much else. No microwave or fridge in the room.

I haven't been back to my hometown for a long time. I came back to stay for a weekend in early winter when it was cold and there were few tourists, so it was easy to book tickets. However, the house in my hometown has not been occupied for a long time, and it was too troublesome to clean it, so I chose to stay in a hotel directly. In order to be closer to the childhood taste of Xicheng BBQ Baitaling Old Store, I chose this hotel by chance. The staff at the front desk who checked in were very enthusiastic. They were very considerate to the guests when checking in and out, and they also upgraded me to a suite for free, which I was very grateful for. It can be seen that the decoration of the room is indeed a bit old, but the room is clean and tidy, so the flaws do not cover the merits~ The balcony of the suite is really big. It is quite pleasant to sit on the terrace and drink some beer and look at the street view. There is a reading corner and a gym on the first floor of the hotel, and there is a Lawson convenience store next door, which is very convenient for buying some daily necessities. Overall, I am very satisfied. I will stay here again next time I have the opportunity. Thanks to the enthusiastic staff and the hardworking little robot who delivers meals, haha.

Unexpectedly perfect! The room is very comfortable and even has a smart toilet. And the room has a direct view of the sea, the view is amazing! The hotel is only a 3-minute walk from the beach, and on the other side of the hotel is the famous Qinhuang Alley, where you can eat, drink and have fun! My wife and I took the high-speed rail from Shenyang to Beidaihe Railway Station on September 17, 2023, and got off the bus and took a taxi to the Atour Hotel in Xianluo Island, Nandaihe. Before I came, I chose this hotel for homework because it was close to the sea and the surrounding area was convenient. I stayed here for a trip. I really chose Atour. The breakfast was rich and great. The room decoration was very new, the facilities were complete, the front desk service was warm and thoughtful, and the bottled water was free and unlimited. There are many seafood restaurants around, and there is a supermarket tens of meters away, which is convenient for shopping. I am the first time to stay at Atour Hotel and will become the first choice in the future.
