Sea View Hotels in Hainan, China

Arrived quite late, but staff were there to guide me from the car and help with luggage. KK at the front desk processed my check-in quickly and smoothly. I had plans for the next day, so KK kindly arranged a quieter room for me, which I really appreciated. 🙏🏻 The room was refreshingly cool upon entering, as the air conditioning had already been turned on. The bedding was also very comfortable, leading to a pleasant night's sleep. The hotel features many traditional Chinese paintings of flowers and birds, and upon closer inspection, each one is unique – clearly a lot of effort went into them. Since I arrived late, I didn't book breakfast, but I heard it's served until 12 PM, so I'll definitely try it next time. Overall, it's highly recommended.

We stayed in rooms 7603 and 7609. The hotel's location is excellent, and the sea view from the sixth floor is beautiful. The service was also good. The downside is that room 03 had a strong musty smell, and in room 09, we found a small gecko. We called the service hotline, and they quickly helped us remove it, but the hotel really should do a thorough check before guests check in. The facilities are very old; the TV only showed channels and was very laggy, and it only had HDMI input, no screen mirroring functionality. The Bluetooth connection on the phone only played sound, so we just went to sleep. In the evening, we went to a nearby restaurant and tried Wenchang chicken; the coconut chicken was quite crispy, and the steamed chicken was very tender – both are worth trying. We also ordered stir-fried beef because we saw many cows on the way, but the beef was very tough, so I wouldn't recommend it. The coconut rice was also quite delicious. The next morning, we went to a nearby mountain to watch the sunrise, but unfortunately, the clouds were too thick, and we couldn't see it.

Facilities: Very comprehensive. They have an outdoor infinity pool, indoor hot and cold pools, a sauna, and even a spin dryer. Cleanliness: Pretty good. Environment: There's a MixC shopping mall nearby, with plenty of great food options. Deliveries are also available. Service: Attentive and thoughtful. They asked if I needed turndown service. Since I forgot to turn off the 'do not disturb' when I went out, the staff waited until I returned to my room to ask if I needed cleaning. At breakfast, they guided me to a seat and helped make coffee.

This glowing review is dedicated to Jenny. From her pre-arrival communication (asking about special requests, sending a guide beforehand) to her assistance during our stay (helping with issues and coordinating a late check-out), she made us feel completely at home. I've only experienced this level of butler-like service when staying at B&Bs, but Jenny at Huacai truly provided a personal concierge experience. She was incredibly thoughtful and attentive! 💗 The complimentary travel photoshoot offered by the hotel was also excellent. First, the photographer's skill was top-notch; I was initially worried I wouldn't like any of the shots, but they turned out really well! Second, the two ladies at the studio were incredibly professional and provided great service, with no hard selling and clear, reasonable pricing. Experiencing the photoshoot on our last day before check-out was the perfect way to conclude our wonderful trip to Huacai.

Overall, the room was very spacious, and I even got a free upgrade to a room with two 1.8-meter beds. The hotel's WeChat service staff were incredibly friendly. They gave me great recommendations for seafood restaurants and even helped me with arrangements, which I really appreciate. My only slight disappointment was the room's location, as I ended up with a side room, but that's on me for not doing enough research beforehand.

We booked a family room, which even had a small children's bed so my child could sleep separately. It was very quiet at night. The hotel has a pool and water park, which my child loved! Breakfast was extensive, though it felt very crowded, and they couldn't keep up with the fried egg demand. 🥹 Our butler, Cici, added me on WeChat a day in advance and proactively informed us about activities that needed prior booking, which was incredibly helpful and saved us a lot of planning time. The most thoughtful part was that I happened to be on the second day of my period and, despite being very careful, accidentally stained the sheets a little. When I mentioned it at check-out, the front desk staff said it was fine, and they would take care of the cleaning. They even gave us a farewell teddy bear! 🥰

Not great value for money, and the overall experience was pretty mediocre. The fact that the island was reclaimed from the sea, and the various buildings on it, are quite astonishing, but it's a real shame how many areas are neglected and falling into disuse. With over 5,000 rooms, the hotel had a high occupancy rate during the holiday, making the lobby feel like a chaotic market, packed with people and incredibly noisy. There were significant delays for check-in, and breakfast was practically a free-for-all, with extremely poor food quality. Room cleanliness was terrible; there were scratches all over the walls, and the bed runner was damaged and still had dried food crumbs from the previous guest on it – makes you wonder how long it hadn't been washed. The room itself was tiny, and when I asked for an extra pillow, I was told they didn't have any. We were a family of one adult and two children, both around six years old, but were told we had to purchase an additional child's breakfast, as two small children couldn't count as one adult. For nearly 600 RMB a night, with nothing included, it really wasn't worth it.

這次住民宿體驗如下： 1、民宿預訂以後，民宿這邊就電話聯繫溝通入住事宜，並表達給我升級到海景房，這個細節是讓我有所感觸，也是我沒有想到的。[微笑] 2、根據雙方的溝通結果我到達入住小區大門之後，民宿管家已經在等待中，然後用觀光車把我們送到單元門樓下，並幫我們把行李拿到房間裏面，住的是高層海景房，視野實在太棒了。 3、從陽台望出去，海面和遠處的小島盡收眼底，陰雨天也很有氛圍感。 4、房間整體乾淨整潔，客廳和卧室的採光都很好，還配了温馨的原木傢俱（因為我比較喜歡這種顏色，溝通的時候我也提出這點）。 5、廚房設施齊全，自己買點海鮮回來簡單做一頓很方便。 6、樓下小區綠化很好，出門就是滿眼的熱帶綠植，負氧離子滿滿，特別適合放鬆度假。 這一次很舒服的住宿體驗，性價比也超值，希望有機會再次入住。

An unexpectedly stunning seaview B&B! 😎 The service was excellent, very accommodating and helpful. They offered water upon arrival, and the room's AC was already on, making it wonderfully cool. Cleanliness-wise, it seemed quite clean, no major issues. The environment was incredibly serene and therapeutic. The balcony offered an unobstructed sea view; you could open the doors completely and gaze directly at the ocean. Even from bed, you could enjoy the sea view, despite the hot and sunny weather. The B&B has a beautiful common swimming pool that guests can use. The open-plan lobby on the first floor is super photogenic and a great spot to relax and watch the sea. There's a laundry room on the top floor with two washing machines (no dryer), but laundry detergent is provided. There are also facilities for hanging clothes, and given the hot summer sun, clothes hung at night were dry by the next morning. A slight inconvenience is that the seaside town where the B&B is located is not accessible by car. If you're driving, you'll need to park in a designated parking lot (40 per day max), walk a few minutes to the tourist shuttle pick-up point, and then take the shuttle to the hotel. This was the only somewhat troublesome part. I booked the Azure Open Terrace Seaview King Room on the fifth floor, which has an elevator. The room's AC was powerful and kept it very cool, and the shower water pressure was decent. The Laifen hairdryer was a great touch. Check-in is at 2 PM and check-out at 12 PM. Since it wasn't a holiday, there weren't many people. During the off-season, it was only around 500-600, which is excellent value for money.

The Hilton Haikou, a long-standing brand for over a decade, boasts excellent and well-maintained facilities. The air conditioning is remarkably quiet, even surpassing many higher-end five-star hotels—it's simply superb! The hotel's location on Binhai Avenue offers convenient access to transportation. The room included several useful packages, and the breakfast selection was very rich. The guest relations staff member was incredibly thoughtful, having adjusted the room temperature to the most comfortable setting even before check-in. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling for leisure.
