air conditioner need to fix or services room very hot. when i ask for hairdryer the receptionist told me to wait for 2hours then lastly i got nothing from my waiting, no hairdryer no aircond fix. please give a good service next time.

We had an excellent time at Magellan with our 7 year-old kid. 1. There were many facilities catered for children. There were 3 different pools to choose from, there was a small beach to snorkel and feed fish and also play some sand, there was a floatie prepared at the shallow pool and there was a bouncy castle slide for adults to enjoy as well. Snorkel and life jackets prepared for those wanting to try at the small beach. Perfect for those who are short on time to do island hopping. There were movie screenings every Fri-Sun. There's a playground. There's a kid's club with affordable prices and activities. There's bowling, pickleball, tennis and so much more for adults wanting to do some activities in the resort. 2. Service was excellent. We had a malfunction phone in our 1st room which became inconvenient. They manage to get us a room change with an upgrade! The manager on the case, Ms Mahera was very kind in handling our case. We changed our rooms the day after check-in and had accidentally left behind my kid's bag. And since we had the manager's number on hand, we contacted them and we got the item back safely within an hour of contacting them. Every encounter with a staff was met with a smile. We ordered room service twice since we got so tired and the food was delicious. 3. Location is great. We went island hopping via the Marina Jetty that was just next door, no need to commute to other locations. The hotel also had an amazing view of the sunset. There were multiple spots for photos and restaurants to enjoy the sunset. Also the location is a mere 15 mins away from the airport and city centre. Grab from hotel to city centre is less than RM15/ trip.

I had a really pleasant experience as a solo traveller. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The facilities were well-maintained and clean, which made the stay very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the amenities, which exceeded my expectations. Everything was convenient and easy to access. The atmosphere was relaxing and felt safe for solo travel. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again!

I recently stayed at The Palace Hotel Kota Kinabalu and had a pleasant experience overall. The service was warm and attentive — the staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist whenever needed. The facilities were well-maintained and comfortable. The room was clean, cozy, and provided a relaxing environment after a long day. I especially appreciated the peaceful surroundings, which made the stay even more enjoyable. As for the food, it was satisfying with a decent variety to choose from. The breakfast spread was simple but enjoyable, and the dining experience was overall pleasant. All in all, it’s a good place to stay if you’re looking for comfort, friendly service, and a relaxing atmosphere in Kota Kinabalu. Would definitely consider coming back again.

Came here for outstation and stayed around Greenage Ming Garden. The place is nice, clean and comfortable. Good environment and convenient location. Enjoyed my stay here.

My friend and I chose the Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu for our 4-day, 3-night self-guided trip to Kota Kinabalu, and it was absolutely the right choice! The location is truly unbeatable. It's just a few minutes' walk to Jesselton Point, making island hopping incredibly convenient. Gaya Street, where you can grab laksa, and the Durian Night Market under the flyover are also just a ten-minute walk away. After a long day of exploring, it's super easy to head back to the hotel and relax. We booked a standard room, which had a balcony with city views, and it was perfectly fine. The room was exceptionally clean. That's the beauty of a new hotel – all the facilities are spick and span. The capsule coffee was complimentary and unlimited, and the bed was so soft. After a full day of island hopping and sun, we'd hit the bed and fall asleep instantly – it was so stress-relieving! I have to give a special shout-out to the breakfast 👏 The variety was truly amazing, from local nasi lemak and laksa to Western pancakes and bacon, and Chinese dim sum. The freshly brewed teh tarik was incredibly aromatic; I had two large cups every day and didn't repeat a dish for three days straight. Sitting by the window, eating and enjoying the sea view, really kick-started a day full of energy – now THAT's a vacation! The only minor regret was that the pool was a bit crowded when we visited, so we couldn't snag the best photo spot. But overall, for this price, getting a hotel with such a prime location, great views, and an excellent experience is an absolute steal. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kota Kinabalu ✔️

We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade when checking in, offering a full ocean view. It was absolutely stunning and made me feel like we'd chosen the perfect hotel – a true beachside getaway is exactly what a vacation needs! The room itself was very spacious, and the bathroom was even bigger, cleaner, and brighter than it appeared in the online photos. We arrived late and caught the tail end of the sunset, and it only took a few minutes to walk down to the beach to see it. My friend and I aren't early risers, so we skipped Jesselton Point the next day and instead departed directly from the hotel's pier to Manukan Island. There were plenty of boat times available, and we took the 12:30 PM one. There's a dedicated boat for hotel guests, which also drops you back at the hotel – super convenient. If you want to visit The Magellan, the hotel also provides a shuttle bus. The Magellan is more family-friendly, but if you're looking for better value, The Pacific is definitely the way to go. However, I do have to mention that many of the hotel's facilities are quite old. The showerhead was leaking, and I hope they'll replace it soon.

The room is clean and spacious, with well-equipped kitchen utensils and excellent amenities. The sea view is breathtaking, and the location is very strategic—within walking distance to the market. Overall, it was a superb experience!

Smaller than I expected, but super clean and convenient in location. Staff are really kind and attentive, they work day and night to make sure your stay is a comfortable one, I would certainly recommend them for a quiet comfortable stay in Kota Kinabalu

Perfect Getaway! This hotel on Mantanani Island, Kota Kinabalu, is an absolute gem! It's simply divine! I specifically came to Kota Kinabalu for Mantanani Island's crystal-clear waters, and I chose the Mantanani Hotel in advance. After staying there, I just had to give it five stars! The location is absolutely stunning. Step out, and you're on a soft, white sand beach. Open the balcony door, and you're greeted by the jelly-blue ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves every day was incredibly therapeutic. We booked a sea-view room; it was clean and spacious, the mattress had just the right firmness, and the shower water pressure was perfectly stable. There was no cramped feeling, which can often be the case with island hotels. I have to praise the service! The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic. They pre-arranged our island transfers and even proactively recommended snorkeling spots and delicious local snacks. They were always responsive and efficient. The hotel breakfast was also a pleasant surprise – freshly baked waffles with fresh mango, and freshly made Teh Tarik. The taste was absolutely spot on. In the afternoon, I relaxed on a hotel beach chair, enjoying the sea breeze, and in the evening, I had a barbecue at the hotel restaurant under the stars. The pace was wonderfully slow and comfortable – exactly the island vacation vibe I was looking for. If you're coming to Mantanani Island, I honestly recommend staying here.
