This second time in this hospitable hotel. While a short distance away from the Karuizawa station, it is quite well located to nearby old town and buses to a number of places of interests. The hotel seems like a boutique hotel. Its decoration has not changed since 2023. The dinning room is redecorated with more seats. It is more like a cozy lounge. At the reception area, one can find an assortment of tea bags with some special infusions. Of course coffee is there as well.

Really beautiful resort, love the free rental Onsen it’s really nice, if you don’t need room cleaning service you can get 2000yen coupon for souvenir shop. It’s close to the outlet only 10mins driving distance. There is a 7 eleven close to the hotel but need to be aware that the convenience store will be closed at 2300.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. We visited in early November 2025 during the autumn season, and the beautiful foliage added such a romantic touch to the surroundings. I loved the modern interior, the comfortable bed, and the overall room layout. The hotel looks incredibly romantic at night too, especially with the reflections on the pond. The outdoor onsen was a highlight. It felt serene at night, and the maple trees lit up in the evening made it absolutely scenic. The onsen is located in a separate building, so you do have to walk through the cold, but it wasn’t an issue as the hotel provides thicker robes. If I had to nitpick, the indoor slippers weren’t the most comfortable. We drove during our stay, so getting to nearby attractions was easy. There’s a large supermarket and a pharmacy about 5–10 minutes away, which was very convenient — we didn’t even need to visit any convenience stores. This hotel impressed me so much that it made me look up where else Hotel Indigo has branches in Japan!

GGuest UserIn the hotel group near Tangtianzhong Station, it is about 2-300 meters from the station. Jiamei is also a Japanese-style hotel. The mushroom head brother will introduce various situations in detail so that I feel that I heard him introduce it for about 20-30 minutes from check-in to get the key to enter the room. The garden view + bathroom room we stayed in was actually a public garden view. If someone in other rooms was by the sliding door, they would see it. The bathroom thought it was an open-air bath, but in fact, there was a toilet with a bathroom in the room, and the bathroom was extremely cold in winter, there was only a small heating stove, which was not very useful. The air conditioning in the room is not very powerful, there is a large heater, close to it is very warm, the room is generally warm. When you check in, the hotel will keep hot water in the room and Japanese snacks for passengers to use. Because there are few rooms, it is extremely quiet at night, there will be no upstairs and closing doors. The hotel offers two public hot springs (including open-air hot spring pools), dinner and two other hot springs are 5 minutes walk to the Wanchai. The overall experience is good, but everything dinner and breakfast in the hotel are Japanese style, personally do not like.

GGuest UserBecause we wanted to watch the fireworks festival and experience the hot springs, we booked a room here. We were greeted by a grandfather. It was a little late and raining when we arrived at Yudanaka. The grandfather came to pick us up. It was very comfortable to soak in the hot springs. Yudanaka should not be the peak tourist season. Maybe we arrived too late and left too early. The road was very deserted and there were not many people.
