The hotel's overall environment is truly exceptional. The garden layout is elegant and serene, with beautiful scenery at every turn, creating an incredible atmosphere. The privacy is excellent, and strolling through the grounds is incredibly relaxing. Everything is meticulously maintained and clean, making it perfect for both unwinding and taking photos. I must also commend the hotel's restaurant; the food quality is top-notch, with fresh ingredients and outstanding flavors, and the service is attentive, making for a very pleasant dining experience. A special thank you to our butler, Aureliano, who provided professional and considerate service throughout our stay. He was responsive, paid close attention to details, and struck the perfect balance, ensuring all our needs were met with care, making us feel incredibly comfortable. My overall stay was impeccable, and I truly appreciate the hotel team's dedication. I will definitely prioritize staying here for my next vacation. Highly recommended!

Returning to Dali from Jizu Mountain, I temporarily chose to stay at Jinsuo Island. I have been to Dali many times, and this is my first time on the island. This hotel is indeed the most satisfactory one. The room has an unbeatable sea view. You can see the sea and the sunrise while lying on the bed. The facilities are very smart and the hygiene is also very clean. Super cost-effective! The breakfast in the sea view restaurant is also a little surprise.

The property is located on the banks of a lake overlooking the jade dragon mountains. The view from our room was just like a painting with floor to ceiling glass windows. The rooms are very large and spacious and come with extra lounging area. They provide wonderful evening tea with pancakes and fruits. They have free water bottles everywhere. The staff at the hotel are a dream. Super kind and polite. They are amazing people. They accommodated our dietary restrictions. The breakfast had a small spread but they give u personalised platter of breakfast along with it. The staff helped me in putting my luggage in the room and later helped me put it inside the cab. I would 100% staying here if I come. On a side note the toilet came with a bidet which was a great plus.

This was easily our favourite accommodation and the best butler service we experienced throughout our entire Yunnan trip!! Before we even arrived, the staff contacted us to confirm our ETA so they could prepare accordingly. When we reached the accommodation, they were already waiting outside to welcome us and were practically “fighting” to help carry our luggage 😂 Our butler then introduced us to the activities available, recommended nearby attractions, and showed us around our rooms and the amenities provided. Some of the things we especially appreciated: • Service: Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. Any request was just a WeChat message away, and they were always quick to help. They also helped us receive quite a number of parcels we had ordered online, which made things so convenient for us. • Rooms & amenities: The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. One of our rooms had an amazing view of Erhai — waking up to that view was definitely a highlight! However, do take note that not every room has a view. Our other room did not have a view and was located directly beside the room door. There were also useful items available for guests at the lobby, such as sunscreen, insect repellent and sanitizer. • Afternoon tea: We really enjoyed this! There was a good selection of tea and coffee, the fruits were sweet, and both the flower pastries (鲜花饼) and rose cake were delicious. One day we were out and couldn't make it back for afternoon tea, so they actually saved our portion and left it in our room for us. • Little extras: We were each given a complimentary ticket to 小普陀 (XiaoPuTuo). Our room for 4 pax also included a complimentary photoshoot with 5 nicely taken and edited photos. • Night drink: The rose vinegar served at night was surprisingly good and refreshing — especially nice for tourists like us who had been eating all day 😂 • Thoughtful send-off: On our last day, we had to leave before breakfast time. Our butler prepared breakfast packs for us with milk, probiotic bread, fruits, steam eye masks and wipes. ----- There are just two small things we feel could be improved. 1. The toilet paper is currently placed inside a recessed hole in the bathroom wall, so having a proper toilet paper holder would make it more convenient. 2. It would also be great if the accommodation's outdoor logo/signage had lighting, as the area gets quite dark at night and the entrance can be a little difficult to spot. ----- These were very minor issues compared to our overall experience. We stayed at several accommodations throughout our Yunnan trip, and this was hands down the one that left the BEST impression on us. The butler service here was the best we experienced during the entire trip, and we genuinely felt very well taken care of from before we arrived until the moment we left. ❤️

**Excellent Stay with Outstanding Hospitality** I had a wonderful experience during my recent stay at Liqiang. From the moment I arrived, the level of service exceeded my expectations. The highlight of my visit was the exceptional hospitality provided by our host, Mr. Sing, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. He was incredibly caring and attentive throughout our stay, taking the time to help arrange our itinerary and providing valuable local insights. Mr. Sing's assistance was invaluable - he personally helped us with our luggage from the main entrance all the way up to the hotel, which we greatly appreciated. His local knowledge really enhanced our trip, as he introduced us to excellent dining options and guided us to the best shopping areas in the vicinity. The genuine care and attention to detail shown by our host Mr. Sing made our stay not just comfortable, but truly memorable. I would highly recommend Liqiang to anyone looking for a place that combines good accommodations with outstanding personal service. Thank you to Mr. Sing for making our visit so enjoyable!

Took my mom out for a trip and saw Aling's live stream on Douyin. She came across as very practical, genuine, and unpretentious, so we decided to stay for a few days. Overall, it was a really good experience. As soon as you enter the courtyard, there's a water feature with koi fish, which gives a vibrant and lively feel. The two young men working there were incredibly attentive and patient in answering our questions, and their demeanor was very refined. We also had the good fortune to meet a compatible travel couple, Sister Liu and her husband, at Aling's place. It felt like such a serendipitous encounter for people from the north and south to meet here. In the evening, we gathered in Aling's courtyard to chat, drink tea, and share our travel experiences. It was truly delightful. Thank you, Aling, for bringing us all together!

A truly wonderful stay! The owner was incredibly welcoming, even making tea and chatting with us. It felt so personal, like visiting a friend's home. Whenever we had questions about traveling in Lijiang, the owner patiently answered them and offered many practical tips. The hotel's location is excellent, right within the Old Town of Lijiang. There was no need to worry about getting lost or carrying luggage; the owner communicated the drop-off point in advance and even helped us with our bags upon arrival. Truly thoughtful. The view from the room was stunning, overlooking the entire Old Town and the snow-capped mountains. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the overall environment was very pleasant. Since we had to leave very early in the morning, the owner specially prepared a simple breakfast for us beforehand, which was incredibly considerate. If you're planning a trip to Lijiang, I highly recommend considering this place. Five stars! ★★★★★

A Wonderful Stay at Songzhuju Hotel! We stayed at the Songzhuju Hotel for 6 nights and were thoroughly delighted with both the accommodation and the city of Lijiang. Even before our arrival, we felt the genuine care from the staff. Ah Fei contacted us in advance and arranged a transfer from the railway station the day before check-in. Upon arrival, he welcomed us with a traditional tea ceremony and treats, gave us a helpful overview of the hotel, and shared useful information about the city via WeChat. Ah Fei was always available and ready to assist with any questions. In fact, the entire hotel staff was incredibly pleasant and friendly. The hotel itself is excellent. We loved its location within the Ancient City, not far from the North Gate. This made it easy and quick to walk out to the main road to catch a taxi (since vehicles are not allowed inside the Ancient City), while still being immersed in the old town atmosphere. Importantly, it wasn’t in the busiest tourist hub—there were no crowds right next to the hotel, and it was quiet in the evenings and at night. Our room was a two-level family room, very cozy, clean, with comfortable mattresses and pillows, crisp white linens, and daily housekeeping. We also liked the breakfast—a traditional Chinese set menu (not a buffet)—which was delicious and authentic. I’d also like to share some thoughts on Lijiang itself. Initially, we planned to spend only 4 days here, but due to issues with our hotel in Dali, we left it earlier and extended our stay in Lijiang—and we were so glad we did it! Lijiang is absolutely charming. Even 6 days weren’t enough to fully explore it. Beyond the obvious pleasure of wandering through the Ancient City, I highly recommend: - Trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain - Visit Tinghua Valley Lijiang Flowers—an incredibly beautiful botanical garden with fairy-tale views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain - Visit Shuhe Ancient Town - Climbing up to Wangu Tower on Lion Hill in the Ancient City for sunset views. We explored all these places independently, booking DiDi rides and purchasing entrance tickets via Trip.com. However, if needed, Ah Fei can help organizing any tours. Also, if you’re not planning to continue toward Shangri-La, I strongly recommend taking a day trip from Lijiang to Tiger Leaping Gorge. The best option is the trek from Halfway Guesthouse to Tina’s Guesthouse (or Teacher Zhang’s Guesthouse). This hike was probably the most memorable highlight of my entire month-long trip to China—the views are simply breathtaking. In summary, we absolutely enjoyed both: the region and the hotel, where we were able to have very comfortable rest after busy days filled with excursions and long walks. Huge thanks to the entire staff!

If you're visiting Lijiang's Shuhe Ancient Town, you absolutely cannot miss the amazing Guanxin Inn! The environment here is beautiful, with lush greenery in the courtyard and fresh air that instantly helps you relax. The bedding in the rooms is exceptionally comfortable – a good night's sleep here will leave you feeling completely refreshed! The service is incredibly thoughtful and attentive; no matter what you need, they'll help you out, making you feel as warm and welcome as if you were at home. Step outside the inn and you can immediately experience the ancient town's unique charm and leisurely pace of life, making it perfect for a relaxing vacation and capturing some great photos! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and immersive experience of Lijiang's culture!

Very unique accommodations in the middle of Lijiang Ancient Town. This hotel has adorable pet dogs and cats. We also met a very amusing pair of parrots with an entertaining command of the native language. The curiously eclectic decor also added to charm. If you are into browsing endless shops and restaurants this is a great place to stay. The close by Zhongyi traditional market with its very busy and crowded night market offers a huge number of food stalls for foodie visitors. The downside is that vehicles such as cars or scooters are not allowed on the narrow paths in the Ancient Town which for us meant a ten minute walk to reach the surrounding roads to catch buses and taxis to outside shopping or tourist attractions. But overall this is a great place to stay if you are reasonably mobile. I would like to add that the host was incredibly hospitable in making sure our needs were met and helping us arrange for a transfer at the end of our stay.
