From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special. Our room was absolutely awesome (Smart suite)– spacious, beautifully appointed, and offering stunning ocean views that made every morning feel like a treat. The entire hotel experience exceeded our expectations with their consistently high-level service throughout our stay. Special mention must go to Levi from the hotel reception team, who was exceptionally helpful and attentive to our needs. The tour service desk also deserves praise for their outstanding assistance in helping us make the most of our time in Sanya. The hotel's location is another major plus – it's conveniently close to numerous shops and the Sanya One Mall, Sanya Bay, making it easy to explore the area and do some shopping whenever we wanted. The hotel's amenities were fantastic. With two pools plus a breathtaking infinity pool. The infinity pool, in particular, provided a mesmerizing experience with its seamless views. The children's play area was wonderful – my daughter absolutely loved it and spent hours enjoying the facilities. This was truly a memorable New Year's celebration, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to create these special family memories. Highly recommended for families looking for a perfect blend of luxury, service, and family-friendly amenities in Sanya.

The Baoluo noodles had absolutely no flavor (not just bland). 5. **Noisy Cats at Night**: The kittens were a bit noisy at night (perhaps hungry or something else). I suggest arranging deworming and neutering for the cats, providing a cat house (please don't kill or drive them away) as part of the hotel's 'cute pets' initiative, maybe even creating a cat cafe. This hotel is incredibly quiet and comfortable, with excellent cleanliness. The breakfast is lavish, and the service is outstanding. Before arrival, a butler added me on WeChat to provide information about the weather, local attractions, and the shuttle bus from the high-speed rail station. On the evening of check-in, the butler called again to ask how my stay was and if I needed anything, which made me feel very well taken care of. The hotel is divided into sections: Ocean Castle, Desert Castle, Glacier Castle, and Forest Castle, each with its own unique character. The kids had a fantastic time at Haihua Island, and staying at the Oubao Hotel while visiting Haihua Island is an excellent choice.

Raja is very friendly and helpful, even share us the travel guide for our next location. Room amenities are all complete and prepared for little one. Kid love the theme room and astronaut suit. The location is far from town or railway station, even food delivery is at least 4km away. If you aren't driving and ain't coming for the spaceship, you're pretty stranded and bored. The weather in Dec is cold to play in kids pool as well. Coconut chicken hotpot in their restaurant is nice

The variety and quality are arguably the best among all the star-rated hotels in Haikou. I've stayed at several five-star hotels here, but the buffet breakfast at InterContinental Haikou surpasses them all in terms of selection, quality, and freshness. There's a dazzling array of Chinese and Western dishes, local specialties, live cooking stations, and a dedicated kids' section. Even my picky eater enjoyed it, and waking up every day, this breakfast was what he looked forward to most. **Family-Friendly Facilities: Attention to Detail** Hotel facilities completely meet five-star standards. The outdoor swimming pool has crystal clear water and an expansive view, keeping my child thoroughly entertained. Even more delightful is the outdoor hot spring pool; we could play in the water during the day and soak in the springs at night, making our family time extra relaxing. The room setup was also very thoughtful. Our family room was spacious, the bedding was soft, and we had a beautiful view of Haikou Bay right outside our window. **Service Experience: Constantly Impressed** What truly moved me this time was the attentive service from our butler, Jenny. Days before our arrival, she proactively added me on WeChat, discussed our room preferences and our child's likes, and even shared a guide to family-friendly activities in Haikou. What truly impressed me was on our departure day: our flight was suddenly delayed, and as soon as Jenny learned about it, she immediately helped us apply for a late checkout. This saved us from dragging our luggage and child around the airport waiting. This kind of customer-first attitude truly embodies the warmth of the InterContinental brand. **Location & Convenience: Seamless Integration** The hotel is right next to Haikou Bay Shopping Center, offering a one-stop solution for dining, shopping, and entertainment, which is incredibly convenient for families. I especially loved their smart delivery robots. When we ordered takeout, the robot would automatically deliver it to our room door. It was both secure and fun, and my child loved chasing the robot, making it an extra 'playmate.' **Summary: Highly Recommended** The hotel's overall environment is clean and tidy, and the service team is professional and enthusiastic. Both the facilities and the human touch are exceptional. This trip was extra joyful because my child was happy, and the InterContinental Haikou played a huge part in that. We stayed at this resort recently and while the property itself is beautiful, our experience with service and communication was disappointing. From the very beginning, the front desk communication was poor. Even with a translator device, there was little warmth, courtesy, or effort to make us feel welcome. Given that we do not speak Chinese, language became a major barrier. We were not informed how best to contact the hotel for requests, and when we tried calling room service and reception several times, the calls were disconnected due to communication difficulties. Eventually, I had to go down to the front desk to express my frustration. At that point, one staff member, Xiao Jiang, kindly shared her WeChat and personally helped us with our requests. I sincerely thank her for her support and professionalism. At checkout, one room key was temporarily misplaced, and the front desk insisted we pay 50 yuan for the lost card. They made a big issue out of it, even though such matters are usually handled with courtesy. Thankfully, we found the card in time. This incident was not about the money, but about attitude and hospitality, which were lacking. That said, the hotel has a fantastic location, beautiful views, comfortable rooms, and an excellent breakfast. I would still recommend this resort to friends and family for the property itself. However, I strongly suggest the hotel improve its approach to language support and guest communication. Even small improvements in courtesy and communication can make a big difference for international guests. For this reason, I am giving three stars for service and communication, while the location, rooms, views, and facilities deserve five stars.
