Oon the way 66Drove down from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru for the weekend and, based on reviews, I chose the DoubleTree, which seemed like a safe bet. The hotel security, front desk staff, and everyone else were all quite friendly. Check-in at the front desk was pretty quick. I booked the most basic room; the facilities and layout aren't new, but it was still relatively clean and tidy, and well-maintained. The hotel breakfast looked like it had a lot of variety, but the quality was just average. For two days straight, I mainly ate the roti canai with dipping sauce – that was actually quite tasty. The noodle soup, salads, and other items were all pretty standard, but enough to fill you up. The hotel isn't far from the immigration checkpoint, so the location is quite good. The surrounding area is a bit messy due to ongoing construction, but once it's finished, it'll be very convenient for trips to Singapore.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe residence is above Paradigm Mall. The counter has its operating hours. Staffs are helpful and check in out are simple. Very good for groups or family stay.
There are shops, restaurants and services in the mall. Thus, no need to travel far and out. You can stay at the same venue for your overnight stay.
NnurazeemaThe checkin super easy , in the same apt complex just different tower. The instructions from host for check in and parking very clear. Apartment is great for young kids with slide and play area. Beds are comfortable. Master bedroom is spacious. Kitchen is equipped for simple cooking. The apt is less 5 min drive to legoland.
There's red ants issue in one of the bedrooms but the service came quickly to get rid of it and changed the bedding. Occasionally the toilet smells of sewage which i think need to be solved by the building maintainance. Just these 2 issues that should be looked into by NEST home to make the place perfect.
KKarameloverI liked the fact that was located away from the hustle & bustle of the city side. It was serene & less traffic. Room was great with amenities like a washer/dryer & even a microwave and induction cooktop. View was great for the seaview deluxe room. Staff were very accommodating to my early check-in request & late checkout as well. The quayside and Marina walk were accessible via the hotel's B2 level. Hardrock cafe is one to mention & a few others on the quay side. The only downside for me was the breakfast spread. It can be way better. More room for improvement for sure. Otherwise, the overall stay was a 9 out of 10 for me. I'll definitely be back with my family next time.
CCheeWH79Had a 4 days 3 night staycation here. Excellent location with Mid-Valley Southkey mall within the same building. Perfect for shopping, dining, entertainment and accomodation all under one roof. The room was decent and clean with standard amenities. Bed and pillows are comfortable, Facilities are alright with gym and swimming pool with a nice view at the top floor. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with a lot of focus on local Malaysian cuisines. There is sufficient variety to try different food each day during my stay. Parking is reasonable at RM10 per day although officially stated as RM5. I believe each day ends at midnight. Thus, staying overnight guarantees paying for at least 2 days of parking. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visitng JB.
GGuest UserGood location, close proximity within few minutes walking distance to KSL and many eateries. Nicely decorated and clean unit, aircon is powerful and wifi is working well. Thanks to the host for helping us book the Karaoke room, my family had a great time singing. Unfortunately our stay is too short and we didn't get a chance to use the pool table when we realised the apartment also has one. Only shortcoming is the pungent smell especially in the common bathroom coming from the sewage, but I realised it is very common in most apartments in JB that I have stayed so far. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Very Good
GGuest UserI was just passing through and needed a place to stay for a night, but I stumbled upon a gem! The location is convenient with everything nearby. The room was spotless, and the mattress was just the right firmness – I slept like a baby and woke up naturally. The decor is simple yet stylish, and the warm lighting made coming back to the room at night feel so cozy and like coming home.

Good
GGuest UserMy stay in Johor Bahru this time was quite pleasant; the hotel generally exceeded my expectations. The room was relatively spacious for Malaysia, and the cleanliness was good, with a very comfortable bed. It was convenient to find places to eat downstairs and nearby, and taking a taxi to the mall wasn't far either. The front desk processed check-in quickly, and their service attitude was friendly. Overall, it offers great value for money, perfect for a short stay or a weekend getaway in Johor Bahru.
DDTSgThe location is a short walk from rnf mall however if you have elderly, it may not be convenient as you need to cross the road on 1st day to check in. Saw the overhead bridge but the guard said need access card first. Since we hadn't got access card, need to walk across and along a stretch of road to reach the block.
After that, we took grab all the time as elderly may not be able to walk too long and on slopes.
Condo was nice, but rubbish area may need to be more clean. We could smell it along the corridor. The door chain lock was spoilt. 2 doors at front entrance, inside the unit was quite clean and meet our needs. Can do light cooking saw pan. Microwave, kettle and cutlery etc. Rooms were quite clean but toilets had some smell, brought toilet spray. Mosquitoes are common, pls bring insect repellent too even in unit. Every room has aircon so it's OK. Living room is nice with nice view from balcony seeing the sea and boats!
Overall gd experience but don't expect it to be like hotel. It's Airbnb. Swimming was noisy with kids, gym was busy too. We didn't swim or use gym but we walked around on viewing deck to watch boats.
GGuest UserMy overall stay was just okay. The location is definitely a big plus, being right next to SKS Mall makes finding food and shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel restaurant also has live music performances starting at 8 PM.
However, during my stay, I encountered an issue where my room door lock malfunctioned and I couldn't open the door. I had to go back and forth to the front desk twice, and it took over twenty minutes to get it resolved. This really dampened my experience.
