"I requested an ocean view room, but they said it was difficult, so when I went to the room, there were more than 10 ocean view rooms that had been renovated and had their doors wide open. If there were that many empty rooms, they would have been able to assign them... Also, instead of going up to the room by touching the elevator key, outsiders can go up without touching the key, and housekeeping should close the door after cleaning and leave. If they open the door and leave, it is vulnerable to the safety and security of the guests, and it creates an environment where hidden cameras and outsiders can eat and drink without permission. I am leaving this as an employee who worked at a 5-star hotel for 9 years."

Hotel Marinabay Korea(Ara)

I think the current rating of 8.0/10 is totally underrated!!! For the price it offers great value to the level of a 4-star hotel. In Tokyo, for example , a similar wide room would cost at least double. Modern and clean room, amazing sunrise with marina view. Costs 9000 KRW in the morning and 13000 KRW in the evening to/from Gimpo airport, and just 15 min away. I would definitely stay again if I have a layover in Seoul

The city view overlooking the train station was lovely, and the room condition and bedding were generally clean and comfortable, so my friends and I had a truly relaxing time! We went to the infinity pool at the latest possible time, and unfortunately, the roof was closed, but the warm heated pool was still great for a swim! I'd definitely be willing to come back again!!😊

This hotel is fully equipped, with comfortable bedding, stable WiFi, and a clean, odor-free bathroom. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and the room was cleaned promptly. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it!

Former Australia soldiers of 3 RAR travelled to Kapyong, to commemorate the Battle of Kapyong 24 April 1951 (in 2025). This brilliant accommodation is located a 2 min stroll over the Gyeonggi-do river to the Australia & NZ memorial, where a friendly well equipped convenience store sits below it. The Host property was spotless, as picture online and well maintained. The owner aims to be non invasive (monitoring from Wi-Fi cameras on the outside of the property) and to protect it. He saw our struggles attempting to light fire on a cold night and quickly drove down to assist :). The lovely store holder closed up shop (when we tried to order food) to take us down to his local family restaurant (for authentic Korean food, which to tried to offer for free and we persistently and politely declined, fantastic local hospitality towards us and in general. The host then drove us back into the Gapeyoung Train station when we tried to order a Taxi. Fantastic experience and would stay here again and highly recommend it. The lovely family run cafe in town: 886-5 Mokdong-ri, Buk-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea

I stayed in a 2-bedroom suite for about a week and overall had a very pleasant experience. The suite was spacious and clean, making it comfortable for a longer stay. One thing to note: the bathtub is quite deep, which might be a challenge for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. Breakfast: a good mix of Western and Korean options, all well-prepared and tasty. The coffee, in particular, was excellent — probably the best I’ve had at a hotel. Reception staff were polite(mostly... except the one male reception who deline on advice...) If you plan visit downtown in Seoul it might be quite far. Would recommend for families or longer stays, just keep the bathroom design in mind depending on your needs.

Breakfast has a good variety of food, but the queue gets long after 8 a.m. The hotel is quite far from the city, and the taxi fare is around 26,000 won depending on traffic. Journey to Incheon airport takes about a hour. Daily housekeeping is excellent, but the pillows are very flat. It would also be better if the hotel offered triple-sharing rooms.

It was a good place to rest and come. The owner was friendly and nice. A good place to heal while looking at the lake. The water in the sink was hot and came out well, but the bathtub was a bit cold because the door didn't come out even if I turned it on for a while to keep it warm. Next time, Vista was spacious and nice. The cat kept coming to the barbecue, so I personally didn't like it. If you don't like cats, you should go to room 102, which has a mosquito screen, or go to the second floor.

For a last minute booking the hotel was very accommodating. I was a bit skeptical with the first impression of the lobby giving a very motel vibe, as I went to my floor I was quite surprised as the look of the hallway was quite different than what I expected. Entering my room, I felt a very cozy and welcoming feeling (keep in mind). I do live in an apartment in another city in South Korea so I am used to the layouts of Korea apartments and I can say that the room was more of a studio type room with furniture than a hotel which for makes it more homey. Entering the room, they already provide indoor slippers. The layout with table and chairs and sink (what used to be a cooking area) gives it the studio apartment feeling. Very spacious and open and the TV (huge) is bigger than what most 5 star elegant hotels have. The bidet is on point and shower is a modern concept. They also provide a transformer for those who require or have electronics that require 110v charge.

I believe Trip.com can verify my booking history — I always book King bed rooms, and this hotel was listed as having a King bed, which was the main reason I chose it. However, the actual bed size was clearly not a standard King bed. My husband and I specifically require a proper King-size bed for comfort, so this was misleading. The hotel responded that their bed size is correct, but this is the only hotel among all my bookings where I encountered such an issue. In addition, the bed was uncomfortable and kept moving out of place, which was inconvenient. If you are booking this hotel for a King bed, you may want to reconsider carefully. The only positive point was that tax refund was available.

Pros: Located right at Exit 3 of KINTEX Station, making it super convenient for visiting Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang, the waterpark, and Aqua Planet Ilsan. The location is fantastic, surrounded by large commercial complexes and residential areas. Convenience stores, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and medium-sized supermarkets are all very close by! The hotel is divided into an East Wing and a West Wing; I stayed in the East Wing this time. The service attitude was excellent, and the front desk was very responsive. However... It seems to fall short of a five-star hotel standard. I stayed with my child, and although the hotel's description welcomes children, there were absolutely no amenities for kids – no children's slippers, bathrobes, or even toothbrushes and toothpaste! Compared to many five-star hotels I've stayed at in Tokyo, the attention to detail here is lacking. There's a French pastry shop on the first floor, which closes at 6 PM. On the third floor, there's a gym and a sauna… The room view was decent, and the night view was also beautiful. The TV had YouTube, which kept my child entertained. There's no bathtub, but the shower had excellent water pressure – very comfortable! However, there's a strange feeling of stinginess – just one comb, one shower cap, a small box with cotton swabs, and a tiny bar of soap. That's it. Japanese five-star hotels are usually so generous with amenities; I don't want to compare, but it's hard not to ㅠㅠ. The desk and wardrobe in the room both had some damage and chipped paint. I actually had to switch from the first bathrobe to the second after showering because the first one was so old and thin; the second one was new and in good condition. It really highlights the difference when you compare them. If there were other five-star hotels nearby, I'd probably choose a different one next time. My overall stay felt more like a three-star experience, falling short of a five-star standard.
