Stayed for my business Travel.
Hotel are strategically located and easy access to Train and restaurant. In term of room really good for business travel. Solid table and chairs for comfortable working environment in the room.
In term of room service really bad. No response on phone call. They purposely cancelled out the call especially for enquiry with front desk and for room services. Really disappointed.
We had a wonderful, too short a stay đ a beautifully presented Hotel and room, magnificent view and absolutely the nicest most professional team, who were Professional, efficient, polite and courteous
Excellent location just off the motorway. Spa / pool / gym are great to break up the day. Staff are great, very friendly and helpful. Rooms lovely.
Bar & grill could do with a change of menu. Food choice and standard are both poor. The price also being expensive for what it is. No one asks if everything was ok with any meals. Frequently cold meals / parts of meals. Breakfast buffet was not the best and the hot selection was poor in taste & quality. Not worth ÂŁ10.
I would stay again but order food in or bring food with me.
Our stay was pleasant at best. The staff were very helpful but the hotel itself was not the best. We asked for a family room but the sofa bed meant for the 2 kids was barely big enough and was sunk in the middle which meant the kids kept rolling into the middle. The telephone for reception did not work. The small pool was cordoned off and the pool cues had no cue tip so we could not play with them despite having put our money in. You have to book a time slot for swimming (something I was not made aware of till we got to the pool) so again disappointed and had to come up with an alternative plan. The breakfast was delicious though however far cheaper if booked the night before - something I was kit aware until I asked. Overall, not our favourite trip.
Poor customer service.
There is an info in the room that taxi can be booked at reception desk. We went to reception and the staff member only pointed at the phone numbers and told us we could book it ourselves. She didnât even get up from her chair or come over to assist us .
Room only ok, lots of dust in the bathroom ventilation vent
We had an overnight stay for dinner and breakfast and were very impressed with the hotel, set in an old Manor House which is well maintained to keep the original style alive.
The food was nice and the experience was great even despite the original restaurant room being closed for refurbishments.
The bar is set in the Manor Houseâs drawing room which made for a nice setting after having dinner in the evening.
Overall it was a very nice stay and was reasonably priced for what was on offer and we hope to stay again!
All of the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly during my stay which added to the experience. The hotel is truly lovely and the setting is beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and the views from the rooms and bar were amazing but itâs the high level of customer service that makes me want to return and recommend this hotel as a place to stay in Wakefield.
Last year I went to the UK for a business trip and stayed at this hotel. The hotel environment is good. Clean and very comfortable, so this hotel is set again this year! !
We stayed 2 nights in the hotel and found the room to be really comfortable, the staff really friendly and helpful, and the food was really excellent. We didn't use the spa facilities as always arrived too late but the pool looked really inviting. Location was also good as just a few minutes off the M1. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel.
Disappointing! Stayed at this hotel in the past and felt the standards had dropped. Our room had been set up as a twin . We didnât complain but someone arrived to change it to a double when we were just enjoying a coffee and relaxing.
The fire alarm went off several times which was unpleasant . We appreciate it needs to be loud but there was obviously a problem with it!
The view from the window was just a view over a concrete roof.
The staff seemed very disinterested when we waited to be seated at breakfast! The coffee machine was broken ( jugs of hot coffee were available)
After breakfast we had intended to relax before leaving but room 118 didnât allow for this It was directly over a keep fit class with tunes like â Come on Eileen â blaring out whilst the instructor sang along!!

GGuest UserThis place has a lot of potential, but also leaves a lot to be desired.
Having booked a cabin, we were tucked away from most other rooms however the noise between our block of 3 cabins travelled terribly. We could hear full clear conversations from our neighbours, meaning our rest was dictated by the plans of others around us.
The cabin itself was okay, but felt in need of a good refresh. There was a general musty smell within the room and the inner window didn't shut due to wood swelling. The space appeared generally clean, but again, felt as though it was in need of a deep clean to get rid of dust and dirt.
The location itself is lovely, staff and service was good, but for the price we paid for the room and the space we got, I dont feel this was good value.

GGuest UserThis is the second time weâve stayed in this hotel at Xmas. This year I had an issue with a another travel partner that failed to communicate booking details with me and then claimed my booking was not on their system despite it showing up on the hotelâs system.
Ruby & Suzanne at reception were phenomenal. Their kindness, persistence and excellent customer service were second to none.
I am so grateful to them.
In addition the grounds of this hotel are stunning, itâs a great location, very clean, comfortable and brilliantly priced.
If youâre visiting Bradford or Leeds I would highly recommend this hotel.
