What to say… An amazing location with great service and beautiful bedrooms.
First, the castle in itself is just amazing, with its building architecture and its interior design with art collections… gorgeous. Our bedroom was the Île Sacrée Miyajima bleu and gold symphony… with outside balcony and intimate deco… superb…
Second, the service, everyone was perfect, smiling, helpful and courteous. One note: no one proposed to take our suitcases from the car, which I would have expected from a 5 stars hotel…
Third, the cuisine at the restaurant was actually not my favorite cup of tea. But it is obviously a very updated one, and both service and quality of ingredients were great. The breakfast and its buffet was very high quality.
Price wise, obviously not a cheap location, but expected for the 5 stars ranking and the beauty of our stay. After a flight of 13h + a train of 3h , it was a sophisticated and resting break where we will come back.

harvey c. sacksWhen I booked I read the complete explanation about the property and I then messaged the property for the answers I still needed. There was no mention at time of booking of a gym, it did say they had a restaurant and a shuttle to the airport. To confirm I messaged the property and they said there was a gym, a restaurant and a shuttle. When we got to the hotel, it was a Saturday and the desk clerk stated there was no gym and the restaurant isn't open on the weekends but we can walk to the closest restaurants which were at the airport and no shuttle during the weekend. End of explanation! I received an email after check in asking if I needed anything to which I replied about these missing features, to which they replied I should have read their website where it supposedly explains more about these 3 items. I surely wouldn't have booked had this information been properly stated on the booking website.

I loved this place so much! Though it's literally 100 m from the beach, it's covered by the trees so there's no noise or wind there.
Our room was in the attic. It had a double bed plus a small corner space with an arm chair/ extra bed where I was sitting in the evenings.
Bathroom was clean spacious and modern. You get anything you need.
And the spa area was great. Though the water in the pool was somewhat coold in the morning. A true gem ❤️

Beautiful hotel with central location in the city and right on the beach. Most of the staff is young, helpful and very kind. Not sure why the older staff feel colder though. Overall, the experience is very good but we still think the hotel is overrated. Especially regarding the room which is clean, comfortable but very simple. It could be refreshed and the style could be more elaborate to reflect the level and the style of the hotel.

Such a fantastic hotel, just across the road from the Loire river. The people that run the hotel bent over backwards to accommodate any request & were very helpful in booking restaurants etc. they have a great Spa, Sauna, an indoor & outdoor pool. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Montsoreau

If you are looking for probably best chateau in Loira valley, you are in the right place. From the beginning to the end our experience was fantastic. Very beautiful castle, both outside and inside. Great host, fantastic breakfast. Fantastic photo opportunities. Definitely would love to return.

We enjoyed our stay in a comfortable and very clean room. Breakfast was simple, with homemade bread to toast and enjoy with butter and jam, which added a nice personal touch, even if the variety was modest. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home.

Some small defect but not very disturbing. The location is perfect for a small stay in couple alone bemol the parking which is not lighted from a certain hour that can be binding. But the rest nothing to say.
