What to say… An amazing location with great service and beautiful bedrooms. First, the castle in itself is just amazing, with its building architecture and its interior design with art collections… gorgeous. Our bedroom was the Île Sacrée Miyajima bleu and gold symphony… with outside balcony and intimate deco… superb… Second, the service, everyone was perfect, smiling, helpful and courteous. One note: no one proposed to take our suitcases from the car, which I would have expected from a 5 stars hotel… Third, the cuisine at the restaurant was actually not my favorite cup of tea. But it is obviously a very updated one, and both service and quality of ingredients were great. The breakfast and its buffet was very high quality. Price wise, obviously not a cheap location, but expected for the 5 stars ranking and the beauty of our stay. After a flight of 13h + a train of 3h , it was a sophisticated and resting break where we will come back.

The hotel is located far from the castles of the Loire Valley. With limited rooms and few people, it's quiet and perfect for a vacation. The Grand Palace is a villa. The first floor houses the living room, kitchen, and courtyard, while the second floor has three bedrooms (all with king-size beds) and a bathroom. Slippers are provided. The breakfast was quite good.

The property is magnificent. The decor in public rooms, bedrooms and dining room very beautiful. Luxury standards. Magnificent gardens and outdoor public areas. Dining options are plentiful, farm to table and both beautifully presented and delicious. The St Pierre fish with a muscadet cru outstanding.

Do yourself a favor and stay at this magnificent place. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed and I have stayed at 5 star hotels all over the world. This is HANDS DOWN, the best value I have ever received. This place should be charging over one thousand a night. All the amazing small touches are there, the rooms are unique, huge and beautiful. The common areas are instagram worthy. The grounds, the pool, the gardens..........just WOW.

We enjoyed our stay at the Chateau. The quirky and colourful decoration of the hotel added an element of fun. Unfortunately we had booked the Attic room (Lord of London) which was up some very steep steps on the second floor. The door to the room was just at the top of the stairs which made me cautious as I opened the door to descend the stairs. No stair rail. If we had stayed in another room, I am sure we would have given the Chateau a five star rating. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to use the spa .
