Pet Friendly Hotels in Yunnan, China

A very nice inn located at the peak of the Lijiang Old Town. We stayed here for 3 nights and have no complaints, we slept peacefully. Although, the room might not be as nice as the picture but it is only some small cosmetic issue after years of wear like peeled off paint, chipped off grout. The caretaker is very nice, bringing our luggage from the nearest car drop off point to the hotel, comes up with nice recommendations and is also very friendly inviting us to have tea to chat. There is a famous hotpot place right next to the hotel. Another cool thing is that, there is an observation deck just 50m away from the hotel to see the sunrise from the deck. We also experienced the old town in the early morning before the crowd comes.

This hotel is located in the Duoyishu Scenic Area of Yuanyang. We chose a room on the 4th floor with a terrace, and the view absolutely blew away all other rooms. We had a vast expanse of terraced fields right in front of us, perfect for photos at any time, especially stunningly beautiful at sunrise – no need to jostle with crowds at the Duoyishu observation deck. The room facilities were pretty complete, including a huge soaking tub, though it felt largely unnecessary. The hotel service was also excellent; they contacted us in advance about our arrival and parking. Since the hotel is situated on a hillside, it's not accessible by private car, but the hotel provides a minivan for pick-up and drop-off at any time. There's no elevator, but the hotel staff were very helpful with luggage up and down the stairs. The hotel offers breakfast sets and also has an à la carte menu. I highly recommend this place for guests who want to enjoy beautiful scenery without having to get up too early or rush to crowded scenic spots. The room facilities matched the description on the platform perfectly. It's right next to Wanda Plaza and Metro Line 1, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. The value for money is outstanding. What truly touched me was their service. I went to the front desk to ask for an extra blanket (the room had AC, which I didn't want to use). Seeing that the young woman at the front desk was busy, I waited patiently. Then, a young man (the owner? manager? or maybe both?) approached me and asked if I needed anything, saying I could tell him. I told him I wanted an extra blanket. He then asked if two blankets wouldn't be too thick. I thought to myself, I can't expect the hotel to have every type of bedding imaginable. The young man asked for my room number and said, 'Okay, I understand, I'll send it to your room shortly.' And sure enough, the blanket arrived quickly – it was a thin summer duvet, exactly what I was hoping for! When I was leaving, I saw him again in the lobby. He said, 'I hope everyone who visits Kunming leaves as happy as they arrived.' He clearly loves his hometown and puts his heart into what he does.

This accommodation is very close to Lijiang Ancient Town, just a 5-6 minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. There's also Zhongyi Market nearby, and accessing other attractions is quite easy. The room environment is comfortable with good natural light. It features a smart toilet and a separate wet/dry area. The room itself is clean and tidy, and the bathroom is well-maintained. The owner is very welcoming and thoughtful, always ready to help. They'll assist with luggage storage and even help carry your bags!

This is probably one of the best hotels in the area, and it's very conveniently located. The facilities are excellent, and the breakfast offers a wide variety, including hot and cold beverages and coffee. There are plenty of staff, and the bespectacled gentleman at the front desk was particularly helpful. He told us about some great local restaurants, and on the day we checked in, it was very foggy and humid. He kindly advised us to wear masks when going out to avoid inhaling too much moisture, which was very thoughtful. My only minor suggestion for the hotel is regarding the gym equipment on the second floor near the entrance. It gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Perhaps it could be moved to a different spot, as it was quite chilly checking in with the main doors wide open on such a day.

Service Very impressive—this was the best hotel of my entire trip in Yunnan. The hotel provides free pick-up from both the airport and the railway station. The driver who took us to the station was the nicest we encountered in Yunnan. She drove very carefully and politely, especially compared to other drivers we experienced through ride-hailing apps during the trip. All the staff were attentive and always willing to help with anything we needed. Location Although the hotel entrance is located in a small alley, it is still accessible by car. The hotel is conveniently close to the old town and Dafo Temple. There is also a back entrance that provides a shortcut to the old town, which is very convenient. Room and Amenities Truly impressive. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly as shown in the photos. Upon check-in, the hotel provided a nice selection of tea and snacks. The room features a large projector and a smart voice-controlled system. It also includes a humidifier and an oxygen dispenser, which can be connected to a nasal cannula or released directly into the room. These amenities made our stay much more comfortable, especially at high altitude. Altitude fatigue and sickness are real concerns, and the oxygen support helped significantly. Combined with a comfortable bed and an electric blanket, this hotel provided the best sleep quality of my entire trip. Downside The only minor downside was that I had some difficulty connecting to the projector in the room, but it was not a big issue. Summary I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shangri-La.

The design of the inn was beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable, we had breakfast served during our stay as well. The staff were nice and helpful as well with moving our luggages and answering our questions. The location is also not far from the south gate of Dali Ancient City, and is just a short walk away from night markets and other food options. The only small complaints we had was that the toilet seat in our room was quite loose and room slippers were not replaced on our second and final night. Other than that, it was a great experience.

This hotel is great! The room looks exactly like the pictures online. The location is super convenient for getting around. They even rent out electric scooters on-site, and the staff are really helpful with directions. As someone from Malaysia who isn't familiar with the area, renting a scooter and following their explanations and maps was no problem at all 😂. They also offer a shuttle service to Lijiang, which is really cost-effective and convenient. They pick you up right at the entrance. Absolutely fantastic! The location is excellent, and the rooms are spotless. The landlady is not only beautiful but also incredibly kind. In the evenings, after all the guests returned, we all gathered to drink tea and wine – the atmosphere was superb. There are also a few good restaurants nearby that offer great value for money, plus a night market with evening performances. We ended up extending our stay for two more nights. We'll definitely choose this place again when we're back in Pu'er.

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile by the staff, and they even offered a thoughtful hot tea during check-in. The room was spotless, and you could really tell they put effort into every detail. The absolute best part was the mattress and pillows – perfectly firm yet soft, I slept soundly all night. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the water pressure was strong with stable temperatures, which was perfect for washing away the day's fatigue. Next time I'm in this city, this will definitely be my top choice. The location is superb, right downstairs are shopping areas and attractions, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. I expected it to be noisy, but the windows had excellent soundproofing, offering a peaceful retreat despite being in the heart of the action. The in-room smart control system was very high-tech; the curtains and lighting responded perfectly. The service staff were always responsive, and even the delivery robot was adorable. It was truly a fantastic stay.
