Wonderful hotel at the top of the ancient town. Set around a lovely courtyard in a traditional style building, this is in the heart of beautiful Lijiang but away from the noise and relentless tourist throngs. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are showing their age a little but everything works as it should. The best thing is the wonderful manager, Zhu Haifei, who welcomes you with endless tea and never stops helping with all sorts of advice and support. He booked us a brilliant driver to visit Tiger Leaping Gorge and made our stay very special.

Hotel is located within the Napa Hai area. Very pretty scenery around and relatively quiet. Not much to do around the area. More suitable to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. Hotel ground is relatively large. Just started operating last year so everything is still new. They are still renovating the outdoor areas so it’s not the best right now. You are able to feed the inhouse sheeps by requesting corn from the reception. Can even explore beyond the hotel grounds to see the other animals grazing. All service staff are very friendly and attentive. We will consider returning to this hotel if we ever come back to Shangrila. Distance to Dukezong is only ~20 mins And to the train station is only 15 mins. Booking Didi is not issue to and fro from the hotel.

Great location! It's just a few minutes walk to the South Gate of the Old City, which I found incredibly convenient. The courtyard is beautiful and offers an expansive view. Sunlight streams in as soon as you open the windows. Even though it's close to the Old City, it's very quiet at night, so you won't be disturbed. Highly recommend!

This hotel is great! The room looks exactly like the pictures online. The location is super convenient for getting around. They even rent out electric scooters on-site, and the staff are really helpful with directions. As someone from Malaysia who isn't familiar with the area, renting a scooter and following their explanations and maps was no problem at all 😂. They also offer a shuttle service to Lijiang, which is really cost-effective and convenient. They pick you up right at the entrance. The environment is absolutely stunning! You can see Erhai Lake right from your room, which was breathtaking. I highly recommend the rooms on the fifth floor; they have hammocks where you can directly enjoy the ocean view. It was a fantastic experience!

Amazing experience! Wonderful host, beautiful room, good quality amenities, very comfy bed, AI, heater in room to keep you warm, local snacks for afternoon tea, daily local breakfast (crossing bridge mi xian set), free shutting to accommodation (arrival) and to train station (departure), and also washing machine and dryer available for use. Owner also provides little farewell souvenir upon your departure. Accommodation is just 5 mins minutes walk from the Dukezong Ancient City. I forgot my jacket when departing and owner immediately helped to arranged for courier which arrived at Kunming on the same day. Would love to return again when in Shangri-La.

Fabulous hotel. Stylish room with high standard amenities in the room. Great shampoo! It's a bit hard to find but we managed to get a Didi from the high speed railway station for 32 RMB. There is an elevator inside the 99Y clothes store that brings you to the 4th floor. A woman in a very simple room will give you your key. The hotel seems to have a different name in English: Aina Hotel. Regardless, it isn't so easy to find for an English speaker. The room is spacious and cosy. Comfortable bedding. Very well designed sitting area. Ceinling fan and Air-conditioning. Large flat screen TV. I loved the teapot and cup set. The hotel gives a nice tea and honey as a free gift. We weren't disturbed by noise despite it being in a popular tourist area. Everything is close by too. Fun to visit the park along the river. We went 2 nights there. I highly recommend.

This review truly comes from the bottom of my heart; I just wanted to share my most genuine feelings. 😃😃 Haha, this stay at this hotel was absolutely the most satisfying one I've ever had. I've traveled to many places before and stayed in many expensive hotels, costing thousands or even hundreds of dollars, but none of them felt as comfortable as this one. First of all, the owners were incredibly down-to-earth and warm, making me feel right at home. They are genuine Yunnan locals, with a wonderfully genuine and simple nature. When we first checked in, they even brought us tea, so the service was excellent in every way. The room was also incredibly clean and tidy, and the fragrance was exactly what I wanted – a light floral scent reminiscent of spring grass, very refreshing. I felt completely cared for. The owners were kind and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a very retro feel, which reminded me of coming home as a child. It immediately made me feel safe and peaceful. The two nights before and after were the most restful nights I've slept in years. The soundproofing was also excellent, making it very quiet. Moreover, the room's facilities, such as the sofa, are very well-equipped and offer great value for money. Honestly, for a hotel costing only a few hundred yuan, the facilities are incredibly luxurious. I feel like the owner is truly wealthy; this is a guesthouse run purely out of passion, haha. I'm so happy! The breakfast is also very healthy, made with vegetables grown by the local farmers—clean, refreshing, safe, and healthy… The hygiene and other aspects are really well done.

Facilities: Very complete, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, plus a lovely small tea station! They even provide two types of slippers, which is such a thoughtful touch. Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy. The room even had a pleasant scent, no strange odors at all. Environment: Excellent! Very beautiful. It's also very close to the ancient town, and getting a taxi is super convenient. Service: Fantastic! Very warm and welcoming! When I had to rush for my bus in the morning and couldn't eat breakfast, they even packed some for me. I really liked the taste of the barley cake. Self-service ******* afternoon tea: Very good, and the portions were generous!

Overall, it was a very impressive stay. I would definitely come back and stay here again, and highly recommend this hotel! The location is excellent and very convenient for getting around. The hotel itself is quite new, and the room is well-equipped with modern amenities — I especially appreciated the smart toilet, which added an extra level of comfort. The service was also very good. The staff were helpful and responsive, offering pick-up and drop-off services, and they were always available via WeChat whenever I needed assistance. Overall, a great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel!
