The B&B is located inside the ancient city. You need to take a taxi to a certain spot, and the owner will pick you up from there. The B&B owner is very nice and helpful with pick-ups, drop-offs, and carrying luggage. Facilities: Since the hotel has been open for a while, the decor and overall condition can't be compared to newly opened establishments. However, it's still generally good, clean, and tidy. They even upgraded our room to a much larger one. Service: It's definitely good. They'll add you on WeChat in advance to communicate, and the rooms even have heated floors!

Staying at Honglin Pavilion Inn in Dali was an absolute gem! The facilities and amenities were top-notch, far exceeding my expectations, and truly enhanced my trip. The inn's location is incredibly convenient. Step right out into the ancient city's streets, and a stroll to Erhai Lake is just a few minutes away. Walking into the courtyard was a breathtaking experience; it's designed in a classical Chinese garden style, with rockeries and flowing water complemented by vintage lanterns. The common areas feature incredibly comfortable rattan chairs and tea sets, and they even provide complimentary tea and utensils. In my free time, I'd brew a pot of tea and enjoy the scenery – it was so relaxing I didn't want to leave. All in all, the stay brought immense happiness. Next time I'm in Dali, I'll definitely choose this place again!

I genuinely recommend Little Tusi Homestay. I'd say it meets four-star hotel standards. The owner personally picked us up at the station in the evening and even brewed us a delicious pot of butter tea upon arrival, along with some fruit and snacks. The Tibetan-style decor is very tasteful and refined. We stayed for three nights, and the owner upgraded our room. Today we're leaving, and the owner will even drop us off at the station. Shangri-La, the sun and moon in my heart – this trip was truly worth it!

This guesthouse has a charming antique feel, and the rooms are clean and hygienic. They even offer free traditional Bai ethnic costumes for photos, which is a really unique touch. It's very close to the night market, with lots of great food nearby. Plus, the front desk attendant was incredibly warm and welcoming, and even helped us take beautiful family photos in the ethnic costumes. If you're coming to Dali, I highly recommend this guesthouse!

I brought my children to Luoping to see the rapeseed flowers. This is a very distinctive hotel. The service provided by the front desk lady is very good, proactive, enthusiastic, and friendly. The room lady greeted me with a smile, and I felt at home. The room is very spacious, the decoration is also very delicate, reasonable, and clean, and the bedding is very comfortable. The breakfast has many varieties and tastes good. The restaurant staff took the initiative to help the children serve breakfast. It is worth recommending. The hotel staff is so excellent, and the hotel leaders must be excellent too.

This guesthouse is located right by the Duoyishu Rice Terraces, offering direct views of the sunrise and morning mist from the rooms. The service was great, and the restaurant was good too – I highly recommend the 'Zhanshui Chicken'. We were lucky enough to catch both the sunrise and the sea of clouds. Aichunlan, just a few kilometers from the guesthouse, was also lovely. We happened to visit during the Hani ethnic group's 'Xiao Nian' (Minor New Year) and even saw the owner's family catching rice paddy fish. The only downside was having to skip the sunset at Daba due to our itinerary. I'll definitely come back if I get the chance!

Highly recommended, a perfect score! The ambiance of this hotel in Dali is absolutely stunning! The luckiest thing about my trip to Dali was choosing the right hotel! As soon as I arrived at the entrance, I was captivated by the lush greenery. The courtyard is filled with succulents and local plants, with traditional Bai-style architecture interspersed throughout. Every casual photo turns out to be a stunning, atmospheric shot, so there's no need to specially seek out scenic spots for photos. The room offers amazing views; opening the window reveals the silhouette of Cangshan Mountain. I woke up to bird songs in the morning and enjoyed a sky full of stars at night – it was so tranquil and healing. The interior decor is minimalist yet tasteful, and the cleanliness was exceptional. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and combined with the gentle lighting, it instantly melted away all travel fatigue. The public areas are also a big plus: a lounge area surrounded by greenery, clean and tidy corridors, and even fresh flowers placed in the elevator area. You can feel the thoughtfulness everywhere. The hotel's overall environment is quiet and not noisy, allowing you to enjoy the fresh air of nature while having a private and comfortable stay. Staying here in Dali was truly worth it! I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll choose it again next time I visit.

The location is right in the center of Dukezong Ancient Town. Taxis or Didi can drop you off directly at the entrance. The owner is really nice and friendly, and even gave us free rides to and from Shangri-La Station! It's very close to Shangri-La Airport and Shangri-La Railway Station. The heating in the room was excellent; it could warm up to 25 degrees Celsius indoors, and the floor was even heated! 👍🏻 There are also free TV and movies. The guesthouse has a unique design, and you can see Guishan Park right from your window. I was wondering which photo studio to go to, so I asked the proprietress for recommendations (the owner actually took her wedding photos at this place 🫢). I tried ”Chunshu Xia” across the street and was very satisfied! If you're staying here, you should definitely consider it. The photos of the ancient town and prayer flags turned out amazing, and the photographer was professional! 👍🏻 The proprietress can even get you a discount!

The room is very spacious and the view is beautiful. The location is great, it feels like more of a local area whilst still being close to the old town, and we particularly enjoyed feeling slightly removed from the bustle. A steamed fish hotpot at yunmu Yao restaurant just down the stairs is not to be missed and was a highlight. Some details could be improved such as providing a bathmat and body lotion. There are also no hooks for the towels near the shower. Cleanliness was overall ok but some hairs in the shower were missed and there is a little bit of build up from hard water. Overall I would stay again.

RRenee C.I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out. YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照,去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful. First impressions were great. As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable. Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup. There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby. Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin. The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing. The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay. I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

LLidusGreat location, look for the yellow boards and you will find it easily. The room items are little bit used but all is all right and clean. I would not recommend to stay during cold nights - the room doesnt have AC. I was staying in room 207 and i heard all noise from stairs, even just walking and also people in room 206 were awake and screaming whole night so be aware of that.

CcloudsinfebruaryOur stay here made our first visit to Shangri-La truly memorable! As the weather is really cold, the room (equipped with heated floor, humidifier, and a very comfy bed!) kept our bodies warm. In the morning, you get to wake up to an amazing view of nature. The little furry families made up of a mother cat and her adorable 3 kittens, plus a cute young Westie 酥油, brought so much delight to our stay. The team is lean but extremely hospitable, welcoming, and kind. She always made sure we had piping hot food, and her bubbliness brightened our mornings. The ingredients used were of good quality, as with everything else in our room. As we didn’t manage to hail Didi during this period, the owner/host, a local, drove us to the different places of interest we wanted to visit (at a fair rate!). He was resourceful in helping us get the best deals and avoid tourist traps. As a local, he was knowledgeable about Shangri-La and the Zangzu culture, and shared many interesting facts. He’s also a singer and humorous, so the car rides were enjoyable. The place was beyond expectations! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful home-away-from-home retreat, the warmth of the place really kept our body and soul warm!

GGuest UserOur three-day journey through Shangri-La became truly unforgettable thanks to our stay at Qingyu·Jianshan Guipu Manor. It was far more than a place to sleep—it felt like a comforting home tucked away in a breathtaking, remote landscape. What stood out most was the genuine care shown by our host, Xiao Ge Ge. From picking us up at the railway station to checking in on us throughout our stay, his kindness never wavered. The moment that touched us most came when two members of our group fell ill due to the dramatic temperature changes. When we asked about the nearest pharmacy, he immediately searched the front desk and handed us medication. That simple, thoughtful gesture eased our worries instantly. It felt like being cared for by family, even though we were far from home. The manor’s location is perfect for anyone seeking an immersive Shangri-La experience. Just a short walk away lies a beautiful open field where horses roam freely beneath vibrant, fluttering prayer flags. The sunset photos we captured there were magical. The quiet surroundings, away from the busier parts of town, offered exactly the serenity we were hoping for. One thing to be mindful of is the sharp temperature drop between afternoon and evening. While the afternoons were sunny and pleasantly warm, mornings and nights were surprisingly cold. Layered clothing is essential. We suspect our own bout of sickness came from underestimating this chill. Adding to the charm were the manor’s friendly residents—a dog and a lamb. They greeted us every time we returned, bringing a cheerful, homely vibe that made the place feel even more welcoming. Shangri-La Qingyu·Jianshan Guipu Manor offers more than accommodation—it delivers an experience steeped in ******* warmth, natural beauty, and heartfelt hospitality. Xiao Ge Ge’s attentive care during our moment of need turned what could have been a stressful setback into a memory of genuine human kindness. We wholeheartedly recommend this manor to travelers seeking comfort, connection, and a true sense of place. Bring more warm layers when you travel during december period

PpostcardsandstampsWe enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

WWeilianmuchuxingThe view was absolutely stunning, overlooking the panoramic ancient city and with a distant view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain! The two brothers who own the place were incredibly welcoming. They told us in advance where the taxi drop-off point was, and they met us there – it was very close and convenient. The owner thoughtfully explained a touring guide for the ancient city to us. After a stroll around the city, it was a perfect return to the hotel. We slept very comfortably; the room was warm, and the soundproofing was good. Next time I come to Lijiang, I'll definitely book here again. The location and view are fantastic, and most importantly, the owners are so friendly! Excellent!

MM278948****The B&B owner was very welcoming and helped me with my luggage. They also recommended places to eat and things to do. You can tell a lot of thought went into the room facilities, and the cleanliness was excellent. The B&B is located inside Erhai Park, which has a playground and animals to see, so the kids had a great time. There's even a swing at the B&B that the kids didn't want to leave! 😂 The owner was really nice; they recommended we visit Wenbi Village and even suggested accommodation there since we hadn't decided on our plans for the next few days. They told us we could go check out the place first before deciding. Overall, it's highly recommended!

MM457515****Booked for three days and two nights, then extended for another day – I really didn't want to leave! Service: The location is very easy to find, and there's a parking lot right next to the guesthouse, which is super convenient for those driving. For guests taking public transport to Lijiang, the owner personally picks them up and drops them off. When we went to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the owner woke up early to prepare breakfast for us in advance and thoughtfully provided bottled water, oxygen, and small cakes. Food: The breakfast rice noodles were delicious, and there were also mini wontons, tea eggs, fruit, small sweet sausages. The coffee and afternoon tea were also excellent, with freshly baked waffles and small cakes that all tasted great. Environment: The air conditioning was strong, so it wasn't cold at all. The bed was very comfortable, and on the second morning, we could even see the 'Golden Mountain' (referring to the sunrise on the snow-capped mountains) from our room's balcony. It's especially suitable for those who love to relax and enjoy a quiet atmosphere.

GGuest UserThe best luck on this trip to Lijiang was choosing the right homestay! Its location is amazing-just a few minutes' walk to the core of the ancient town, yet it's quiet and peaceful, not noisy at all. The housekeeper was super friendly, helping us plan our itinerary in advance and recommending authentic local snacks—no misses at all. The room was cozy and clean, with a wooden-style decor accented by Naxi ethnic accessories; it's incredibly photogenic! In the morning, pushing open the window reveals distant green mountains; at night, sitting in the courtyard drinking tea and chatting, you can look up at a sky full of stars-it's so soothing. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the toiletries are all high-quality brands, with great attention to detail. It really feels like staying at a friend's place. Next time I come to Lijiang, I'll definitely stay here again, and I've already recommended it to friends who are planning to travel!
