Try the Naxi breakfast “sandwich.” Overall, it exceeds the expectations of any reasonable person for a place as remote as this. Accommodations are basic but functional. We were there in November and the only sources of heat in our room were slightly hot water and a heating pad on the bed, and that was enough.

The temperature goes down to -10 at night but you can hardly feel it while inside the rooms. Their insulation is very good and the room feels warm everyday even without floor heating. Only downside was the low ceiling which we were not warned about. Hence, be extra careful when walking around in the room. The hosts are very helpful and would fetch/send us with the luggages to the North Gate. It’s within 5-10 mins walk to 四方街 and the 转经筒. Beautiful view of the whole 古城, which also means that it’s an upslope walk back to the accommodation. The dryer will be turned off between 11pm-930am everyday, but the hosts will kindly help you with your laundry if you ask! Highly recommended and one of my favourite stays in Yunnan!

The room is modern, clean and tidy, equipped with heating, an oxygen generator and heated floors. The owners/staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay there. They picked us up when we arrived at Shangri-La, and also dropped us off at the train station later. They provided a lot of information about where and how and made recommendations even though I only can speak very limited Chinese. Thank you all. Don't hesitate to stay in this hotel. And btw, If you stay here, try the incredible Yak Noodle in the restaurant next door 😊.

We are surrounded by majestic mountains and expansive fields, with fresh air and a clear blue sky. The room is equipped with an oxygen supply and heated floors, making it incredibly comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious 牦牛 hotpot, which was absolutely delightful, especially with its flavorful soup base. We had hoped to see a galaxy of stars, but unfortunately, the sky was cloudy. Later in the evening, we ordered instant noodles and beer from Meituan. The delivery was impressively on time, despite the distance. Just amazing. This doesn’t need a big review because the experience speaks for itself. I am an English traveller in China and I found this to be one of, if not the, most pleasant stay I have had on my own. The room is huge, more than enough for 2 people. The amenities are clean and changed daily. Tea is provided—great for fans of Yunnan hot drinks. But the really special part is the host: Joy and her family are wonderful people! Helpful. Kind. Attentive. And great fun to speak with and be around. I am very happy I chose to stay here. The Jin Bi Ya Yuan is THE place to stay in Dali. I’ll be coming again.

A small homestay located in the heart of the old town. There are enough shops and restaurants nearby. It's about a 10 minute walk to both the north gate and the south gate. Keep in mind if you have heavy luggage you would need to drag it around the cobblestone streets because no vehicle can reach the place. The service of the owner alone makes me rate this place 5/5 stars already. It didn't matter how many questions I asked, everytime he helped me out. If you are a solo traveller or don't speak any word of Mandarin then this is a great place to stay, the owner will make sure you don't get lost. While the service was perfect and couldn't be any better there are some negative things worth mentioning. First of all, the soundproofing is really bad. The room's door is full of holes and gaps so you can hear everything that is happening outside. Moreover, you better make sure you don't have any upstairs neighbours because you can hear everything what they do as well: moving around on the wooden floor, flushing the toilet, opening the tap, taking a shower. Second, talking about showers, the shower in the room takes quite some time to heat up (similar to most hotels in China) but the more annoying part is that its impossible to get the right temperature for the shower: its either way too hot or cold. Lastly, the curtains were full of disgusting stains and didn't block out all the light so I recommend just getting them replaced. All in all, this place has some positives and some negatives. Decide for yourself if you want to stay here. In my opinion, despite the negatives, I would definitely stay here again and recommend you to do the same.

Although English was not the first language of the staff, they went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Whenever I had a question or request, they were patient, friendly, and used translation tools to communicate clearly. They made us feel comfortable and valued, which is something we truly appreciate. The front desk staff even made extra effort to ensure we get the ticket to JDSM. The service was so attentive, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about making our stay as pleasant as possible. It's not always easy to navigate a language difference, but they turned it into a non-issue with their kindness and professionalism. Good Job.

The location was good, can walk yo amcient city. Bus 101 stop was abt 15-20 min walk. just note, inn has a small stone street, which is not good for suitecase tyres. A bit hard to book taxi via didi app all the way to the inn . I asked the hotel staff help book taxi via my didi app, they ask me to key in the address myself. Overall the inn is reasonable, but I had to climb almost 3 stories everyday. Hard to bring bags up and down or climb up to room after a long day of hiking. Next time i would prefer a hotel with lift or room downstairs. Room was clean. Slight smell in the toilet on the first day, next two days I didnt notice any smell. Wifi was good. Bed was comfortable. Towel and bed sheet was clean..

In the charming land of Shangri-La in Yunnan Province, I found a homestay that exceeded all my expectations. Let me share with you the delightful details that made my stay truly unforgettable. The moment I stepped into my host family, I was greeted by a warm atmosphere. The decor perfectly blends local ethnic elements with modern comfort to create a unique and engaging space. This room is a haven of tranquility. The bed is very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploration. Soft, clean bedding adds a comfortable feel. Every corner of the room was meticulously cleaned and the thoughtful facilities provided made me feel right at home. The homestay staff was amazing. They were always friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. The common areas of the host family are well designed and attractive. Whether it's a cosy lounge or a peaceful garden, there's always a place to relax. Living in Guizhen is a wonderful experience. The attention to detail, the warm reception, and the beautiful setting make it one I highly recommend to anyone visiting this magical part of Yunnan Province.

They are happy to provide local travel advice and are always ready to help guests with their questions. facility The room is spacious and comfortable, with complete facilities, especially the large ring-glass window that allows natural light to fill the entire space. There is also a hot spring pool in the hotel, where people can enjoy relaxing time while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the snow-capped mountains.

This is the most comfortable hotel I stayed in during this trip. I had some altitude sickness when I first arrived, but the boss was very considerate and would ask about my altitude sickness when he saw me. There are also oxygen concentrators and humidifiers in the room! The environment of the hotel is really worth it, very clean and hygienic, not inferior to star-rated hotels at all. When we were about to return, the boss saw us leaving and asked us where we were going, and offered to take us to the station. It was really good. I am not a shill, this is a store that I sincerely and actively evaluated, and it is definitely worth recommending!

We come to travel with family. vacation Reserve a family room with 3 beds. The rooms are clean, the lights are very bright, and the facilities are excellent. There is a projector. oxygen generator and humidifier But I don't have time to watch TV shows because I've been traveling all day and I'm exhausted. The bathroom is spacious, but there are disadvantages. The tile floor is very slippery. The shower and toilet spots are close to each other. The bathroom floor is not made in two levels to prevent wet floors from coming out of the shower area. The environment around the hotel is very good. Finding food to eat in the morning is close to the hotel. Walk to the ancient city for about 1 km. Enough to exercise.

After staying at this hotel for three nights, we left for a Tiger Leaping Gorge trek in Shangri-La. Thank you for keeping our bags at the hotel. After finishing the trek, We came back to Lijang and booked this hotel again. In the end, we stayed at this hotel all the time while we were in Lijiang. There are many places to go to Lijiang besides Lijiang old town but I didn't get tired of staying in old town for 5 days. You can come back to other places in Lijang next time. 🤭Lijang is a place I want to keep coming. Lili?( Puppy's name. I don't remember well)🤣 Take care of your health. The planet light on the terrace was really beautiful.( I wanted to buy it too🤭)

Excellent hotel, great views of the snow mountain and super friendly staff! 10/10 would recommend. The balcony has great views and the hotel decoration is very appealing! Will definitely come back again just for the location and views. They also have very healthy breakfast options that is great for digestion. I am very impressed and highly recommended this hotel with following reasons: 1. The staffs are very helpful and supportive even though the communication is limited as they cannot speak English, and I cannot speak Chinese. They have gone extra mile to help me with WeChat app. 2. The room that I stayed was really clean with great size. The place is really quiet and great to stay. 3. The location is right in the middle of City center. You will quickly find your way around after you go around. Thank you staff once again and sad that I did not ask for his name.

One of my the best place I've ever stayed. If you are looking for shinning clean, luxurious service and room then go to the brand chain hotel. But if you are looking for cozy room, warmw and caring service and comfortable atmosphere then this is a right choice for you. I stayed for 5 days alone and I have nothing bad to share. Room was clean, staffs were really nice and always there for me for the all the service that I need. I am not good at chinese and traveling alone, the staffs specially Toutou was really nice to me and helped me with reserving stuffs such as taxi, trip to the snow mountain and traditional clothing experience with nice price. It is quite near to the center of the city so it is really good to walk around the whole city. I will definitely choose here for my next LiJiang visit.

The homestay is located within Lijiang ancient city and it's very huge. The surroundings are the local eateries that serve the typical food from breakfasts to late dinner - a good place for foodie and ppl that prefer a quieter environment. Not too far from the south gate 南门if you intend to travel to yulong snow mountain by bus 101. The room has quite some stairs and the staff was quite nice to help us bring our bulky luggage to the room at level 2. Cleanliness I would say there is room for improvement - the job wasn't quite thorough - I saw a belt was left behind by the previous customer in the drawer.

Highly recommended hotel if you want to be in the ancient city and not too far away from the main road. Personalised butler service with 小勇 was great! WeChat group was set up before arrival and he helped with arranging the free transport from Lijiang train station to 南门1号 where he is there with trolley to help us with the luggages as the road in the ancient city is bumpy. Super grateful for great service where he went above and beyond working hours to fix up our needs and also introduce scenic routes within the ancient city and recommending restaurants and shopping tips around. He also helped to book our tickets to 玉龙雪山 and 丽江千古情 show. We all loved the animal interaction at the hotel. Hotel has a 1 year plus samoey mixed golden dog name xixi which is friendly and playful. 2 alpacas, brown one is male and white one is female who is more shy. 2 rabbits and 2 peacocks. There are washing machines and dryer for ur laundry needs too. 2 game station. Gym. Library. Pool table. Tea houses. KTV room was good! Tea break and breakfast was also nice. The flat white was legit.

I have a mix feeling about this hotel. The location is superb as it is right in town, next to the very happening bar street (in case u don't know, Lijiang has the most happening bars in Yunnan), even though it is in a corner that avoid the bar noise but the room we have facing the village so we hear the loud music at night until 1am. I heard other rooms don't have this problem so maybe if u sensitive to sound, don't book the one facing the village. Our room is very big as we booked the large one, it is quite nice, feel a bit ancient. 180 degree view over the ancient town is beautiful.. But the bed is very hard, i expected much better bed for the price we paid as our room is premium. But the bed sheet/pillow/blanket is of good quality. Toilet is a bit old and can be improved for 4star standard. Other than that everything else was great. Service is very good , the team is very helpful, they prepared 'dry snack' for us as we had to wake up early to go to Snow mountain. And their 'dry snack' bag has a lot of good stuff in it, nice yoghurt, fresh fruits, good pastry, water, nice milk. That makes me feel very warm-hearted. I will consider going back here if they have better mattres, and renovate their toilet a bit, block the noise better from the window
