Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel is very conveniently located, close to the train station, tram stop, shopping center, and the embankment. The breakfast is varied and delicious. The room is small, but everything is very well thought out. The comfortable bed, down comforters, and pillows are perfect for rest after long walks. A few areas could use some cosmetic renovations, and the place could be cleaner, but overall, this didn't affect the quality of our stay. We liked the hotel.
JJekosОчень нравится данный отель. Персонал очень компетентный и доброжелательный. Все очень чисто. Завтрак очень разнообразный и вкусный. Имеется тренажерный зал и бассейн с джакузи.
AarissstonBad things:
Only one thing. PILLOWS. The worst pillows I have ever slept on. Basically they are made of textile waste. No joke. It's such a shame. From my point of view – it's disrespectful towards customers.
Good things:
1. Location. Only 10 minutes from airport.
2. Breakfast was PERFECT. Best hotel breakfast in Marocco. (*unfortunately, their branch at Casa Oasis doesn't have a good breakfast)
GGuest UserI had a 22 hours layover so I booked it for it's location/airport shuttle service, but amenities are kinda lacking, Room doesn't offer slippers, so after showers I had to be bare footed (I had sneakers traveling) , no coffee/tea either. breakfast is very basic, no scrambled eggs, only hard-boiled without soy sauce, it's plain. the ham without much meat... anyway, for the price, it's on the low end.
One incident, when I came back from my city tour, my card wouldn't work for the room even though I am well within check-out time, it's quickly resolved.
The upsides are, staffs are friendly and eager to help!
So overall, it's a 3 star out of 5.
GGuest UserThis accommodation is located near a large intersection and comes with comprehensive amenities, including kitchenware and pots for cooking. The staff were also very friendly. I booked a room with a balcony, and the natural light was excellent. The Maarif area feels safe, and taxis are easily accessible.
GGuest UserWe didn’t have a good stay at the Novotel in Mohammedia, there was no hot water on arrival and there was obviously a hotel wide issue, but the reception said they’d sent someone up and we needed to run the taps for 10 minutes! Well that didn’t work and there was no hot water in the morning either, even they promised it would be back by the morning, so freezing cold shower. No remote control for the TV, the blackout blinds had tears and holes in them (see photo), the carpets were tired and marked (photo) and the windows were absolutely filthy (photo). This was billed as a “superior room with park view” - you could see the park with the window open, but with it closed the dirt pretty much obscured it. We booked a massage but cancelled as how can you have a massage without a shower? The breakfast was very average. The staff were fine, they are up against it with this building, but they constantly asked us to give them reviews by name. The pool is tiny, the bar was quite lively and again nice staff. For a modern Novotel this was a pretty bad experience.
GGuest UserExperience was great! Nice hotel staff and accommodating upon request! The breakfast buffet had many great options and cover all basics of a continental.
JjhjqThis hotel and restaurant is run by three Chinese women. We booked a deluxe double room, which was quite spacious, very new, and clean. Their Chinese restaurant is supposedly the best in Casablanca, and it really lives up to its reputation. Our Chinese friends working locally treated us to a meal there, and it was incredibly authentic – it didn't feel like eating Chinese food abroad at all. They have three chefs: one from Guangdong, one from Sichuan, and I forget where the third one is from. There are Chinese staff at the front desk, so communication was seamless. You can also directly scan WeChat to exchange RMB for Dirhams, which is something other hotels don't offer. Breakfast is a Chinese buffet, quite rich, with congee, soy milk, steamed buns, twisted rolls, and tea eggs. The hotel is very close to Mohammed V Square and the Old Medina, within walking distance, and there's a tram stop nearby, making transportation convenient. There are also many coffee shops and juice bars in the vicinity. Perhaps what needs improvement is the enthusiasm of the staff; when Chinese people meet other Chinese people, not even a basic 'hello' is offered.
GGuest UserThis is an absolutely wonderful garden-style hotel! The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. They even invited me to a complimentary dinner, which I greatly appreciated! Traveling alone, I suddenly felt a sense of being at home. The location is very close to Casablanca Airport, and they offer airport shuttle service, which is a huge convenience for those needing to transfer in Casa. The surrounding environment is lovely and very quiet, perfect for resting! Friends who love cats will also enjoy it, as there are many kittens at the property. Many thanks to the hostess and host; it was a very comfortable stay! Wishing them a prosperous business and all the best!
GGuest UserMy Moroccon friend I studied my phd with in Ireland (my nationality) drove me from Cas airport to the hotel & helped me with my bags to my room & ordered me a bottle of wine from the bar (about the same price as the deluxe room), saying welcome to my beautiful country! The bar staff took the wine off my friend, a GP, and said ”I know this is how you earn your bread and you will be paid but we don't accept this here”. I.e. The receptionist accused my friend of being a **********. The bar man was disgusted by the comment. Having paid, I didn't stay at the hotel and checked out the next day. The receptionist should say... We don't accept non-customers going to customers rooms, not accuse another Moroccon woman of being a ****** (my conservative Muslim friend was mortified)
