First of all, huge thanks for the room upgrade! I was a bit worried arriving around 7-8 PM that there wouldn't be any good rooms left, but wow, it exceeded expectations. The room was cozy and comfortable, and they thoughtfully provided some snacks, various teas and coffees, bottled water, and fresh milk. All the toiletries you could ask for were there, though we brought our own. It was clean, tidy, and spacious – super comfortable! It's also incredibly convenient for walking to the Science and Industry Museum, the Art Gallery, and the Football Museum, as well as for shopping. I loved it! There's a little bit of noise since it's near the train station, but it didn't affect my sleep at all. The front desk service was excellent, and their smiles were so sweet, haha! 😂

I frequently visit Manchester Airport, and the front desk staff here are always very friendly. From Terminal 2, you take the elevator to the Departure level and follow the signs. Then, you head to the Station, take another elevator down to the first floor, and cross the road. It's a bit of a walk, but the distance is actually acceptable. The breakfast is decent, and the price is good. If you don't mind walking an extra five minutes, this is a great choice.

My rating: 7/10 Overall, I would rate this hotel 7 out of 10. There were many things I really liked, but there are also a few areas that could be improved. The first thing that impressed me was the lobby. It looks modern, stylish, and very welcoming. The seating area near the bar is beautiful, with comfortable sofas where you can relax or wait if you have a train to catch. The dining area is also lovely, with a modern and pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. It was served as a buffet with a great variety of food. There were crispy potatoes, scrambled eggs and fried eggs, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, sausages, bacon, fresh vegetables, different juices, and a coffee machine with several coffee options. There were also cereals with yogurt, jams, chocolate pastries, Nutella, toast, sliced cheese, and a selection of cold meats. There was plenty of choice, and everything was very enjoyable. The lift was also very impressive. It looked elegant, modern, and gave the hotel a luxurious feel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The white bed linen looked fresh, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable, so we slept well. The bathroom was modern, spacious, and very practical. We also appreciated having tea, coffee, sugar, cream, and a kettle in the room. However, there were a few things that could be improved. We travelled as a family of three, and there wasn't enough storage space for our clothes. A proper wardrobe with shelves would make a big difference. Only I could unpack my things, while my children had to keep theirs in their backpacks. Another issue was that the window could not be opened. Without the air conditioning running, the room felt stuffy. The kettle also didn't switch off automatically after boiling, so it should definitely be checked or replaced. If I could suggest improvements, I would add a small coffee machine, such as a Dolce Gusto or similar, with enough coffee pods for the number of guests and the length of their stay. I think many people would really appreciate that. It would also be helpful to have a separate entrance or easier access for wheelchair users, as the revolving entrance door may not be convenient for everyone. In addition, a secure place to store bicycles would be a great feature for guests travelling by bike. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a beautiful design, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds, and a lovely atmosphere. With a few improvements, it could easily become an even better place to stay.

Outstanding hospitality and superb facilities As someone who travels frequently for business, I am used to standard hotel procedures, but the team at The Manchester Deansgate Hotel completely blew me away for this leisure stay.They responded brilliantly to our pre-arrival requests, upgrading us to a beautiful King Skyline room and adding thoughtful touches like a welcome note from the manager and complimentary drinks. The hotel’s physical assets are in top shape, the 2nd-floor pool and sauna are peaceful and high-quality, and the breakfast service was seamless despite a busy weekend. Exceptional execution by the management and front-desk team.

Hotel is little far from city center but near to the airport. The hotel dosnt have air conditioning. No soap, no shampoo and towels dirty. In 28 temperature without air condition very hard to coop. We were couple and booked double bed but given 2 single beds.

The hotel is located next to manchester picadilly train station. I travelled from London to manchester by train so it is super convenient for me to stay here. There are many supermarkets and cafe around such as sainsbury local, mark & spencer, co op, greg and cafe nero. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The room is modern. I request for 4 single beds and my request is well accommodated. The room is fully equipped with kitchen utensil. They are very clean and useful for preparing breakfast for my kids. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The room is well maintained and air con works really well. Shower room is clean and not slippery. After checking out, the hotel staff allowed me to leave the luggage with them for a few hours. Will be back here again next time I come to Manchester.

Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay. The location is excellent, especially for those travelling via Manchester Airport. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was larger than I had expected. The only downside was the breakfast, which I felt was not worth paying extra for. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and I would consider staying here again.

The room was clean and cosy and front-desk was friendly and responsive. We booked mainly to check out the pool, spa and gym as advertised by the hotel. So it was really disappointing when we found out that these facilities were closed on Xmas day and on other days operated at limited hours when we were there. The pool, sauna, steam room and gym are operated by a separate company from the hotel. That meant operating hours of those facilities are not catered for hotel guests at all. And it also meant sharing the facilities with members of the gym. So if you’re thinking of staying here and using the gym or pool, just bear those things in mind. Breakfast selection was quite limited. Very bare selection of any salads or greens. Quite embarrassing as well to see that clean plates were not available several times when there were less than 20 covers at breakfast. I understand it was the holiday season and the hotel is understaffed. But I’m sure this is not the first Christmas or NYE the hotel has encountered.

no parking at this establishment and no dropping off available at times as their maintenance and delivery vans might take up the small space cut into the front pavement. They do provide you with a discount voucher at nearby public carparks. Rooms are clean but the decorating is a patch up job throughout. The noise from the tram it is horrible and through the night as windows are not soundproof. In our room the heating was out of order and oil filled radiators were put up instead. Television sets have either the option for TV channels or to connect to your phone: bad aerial prevented viewing most channels and TV only connected to the staff's androids and not to our iphones. There was no options for apps such as youtube or netflix and kids have to entertain themselves on their tablet. Swimming pool is the size of a private one in a residential home. Staff is courteous and the breakfast is way and beyond satisfactory. The majestic hall from their photos was nowhere to be seen. Would go again if no other options shall be available at the time.

A wonderful, pocket friendly hotel in Salford Quays. I was there for just one night and I was impressed by the cleanliness and room layout. An extremely practical room with everything you need in the right place. Beds were clean, TV was working and even a simple air blower in the room which helps keep the room cool as well as a window that opens. The location was easy to find with fast food, restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Don't let the exterior fool you as it is an old building and definitely needs a coat of paint. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a budget stay at Salford Quays.
