Came here to swim with the kids. The environment is really good, with a 25-meter pool and water temperature at 28 degrees Celsius. The showers have plenty of hot water, and the towels are clean. The changing rooms even have a sauna. The room offers expansive views, and at night you can see the illuminated Borhan Buddha Stupa. Breakfast and dinner have a wide variety of options, suitable for both adults and children. The staff are very enthusiastic, and there's a free parking lot with plenty of spaces. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. During the holiday, the room was even stocked with snacks, fruits, and drinks, which was a very thoughtful touch.

The room is clean and tidy. The bedding is comfortable. The water supply is large and it is very comfortable to wash. Parking is convenient at the door. The service is super super super good. I upgraded the room type for free. After checking out, they also took the initiative to give bottled water and slippers for use on the road. This environment, this price, and this service are really worth it. I hope the price will not increase.

Baotou Shangri-La Hotel is simply amazing. The check-in experience is really good. Before I checked in, the hotel housekeeper Miss Bai Huimin called me in advance to arrange a satisfactory room for me. The front desk check-in attitude was also very good. The room facilities and equipment are very complete, the hygiene is particularly good, and a small gift with Inner Mongolia characteristics was given when I checked out. In short, it was a very good experience. I will definitely choose here next time!

A very satisfactory hotel. The room is very large, with two beds of the same size. The bedding is very comfortable. It is rare to sleep so well in a hotel. There is a desk in the room, and the children are just in time to catch up on their homework. The bathing area is very spacious and the room is very warm, which is very comfortable when it is cold. The washbasin is very large, with all the toiletries available, and there is a footstool for the children, which is really convenient. The only small suggestion is that there is no clothesline in the shower room, which is a bit inconvenient. The minibar is also great, with coffee, green tea and black tea every day. Service: Super good, I asked the front desk to heat up the remaining food, and they agreed immediately. It was delivered to the room in a short while. There are people greeting you when you go in and out, and giving small gifts to the children. There are hair bands, mouthwash, glasses wipes and other small things at the front desk counter, which are available at any time. It is very convenient. Hygiene: The aunt cleans very cleanly. The location is good, located in Jining New District, and it is convenient to take a taxi.

My hotel stay this time was a truly pleasant experience. The hotel staff were welcoming, and the check-in process was quick and efficient. The room was clean and spacious, well-equipped, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Toiletries were also provided. The view from the revolving restaurant's window was particularly stunning, offering a wide and enjoyable panorama. The breakfast selection was extensive and tasty, providing a variety of options to suit different preferences. Overall, I was very satisfied with this stay and would highly recommend it. It offers great value for money.

Ranked #1 on Trip.com? My actual stay was quite disappointing.
This was my second business trip to Hohhot. I saw that the Wanda Vista Hohhot had good ratings on Trip.com, and it was even listed as the top-ranked hotel in the area. So, I specifically booked one night to experience it. However, after checking in, I must say I was quite let down.
First, when booking, I clearly stated my room preferences: non-smoking, away from the elevator, and quiet. These are very basic requests. Yet, when I checked in, almost none of them were taken into account. The room assigned was very close to the elevator, and the overall environment was far from quiet.
I stayed on the 16th floor, and the soundproofing was very poor. I could hear the wind outside while sitting by the window, and at night, there was a 'thump-thump-thump' sound, like low-frequency music, which I suspect came from nearby entertainment venues. Additionally, the elevator chimes near the door were frequently audible, 'ding-dong, ding-dong,' significantly affecting my rest. For a five-star hotel, this level of soundproofing is quite unacceptable.
Let's talk about the price. Many other five-star hotels in Hohhot can be booked for around 400 RMB, whereas my twin room here was about 500 RMB, a whole 100 RMB more expensive. However, from the perspective of hardware facilities and overall experience, I didn't feel it was any better than other hotels.
The hotel opened in 2015, so the overall decor is a bit dated. The carpets and furniture in the room looked a bit old. The glass tabletop on the desk even had noticeable chips and damaged edges, which not only looked old but also posed a slight safety hazard, potentially cutting one's hand.
Another aspect that contributed to a less-than-ideal experience was the desk being cluttered with instant noodles and snacks, all for a fee, and not cheap either. Many hotels typically offer some simple complimentary fruits, but here, it felt more like a display of items waiting for guests to consume, which frankly wasn't a good impression.
The front desk service was also quite ordinary; they didn't proactively confirm my room preferences during check-in.
If I had to mention a positive, it would probably be its proximity to Wanda Plaza, making dining and shopping convenient. But if that factor is disregarded, considering the price and overall experience, I personally don't think it offers good value for money.
Previously, I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hohhot City Center, also a five-star hotel, which was nearly 100 RMB cheaper, but the overall service, facilities, and living experience were much better.
So, for friends planning to book a hotel in Hohhot in the future, here's some advice:
If you're considering this hotel solely because it's ranked #1 on Trip.com, I suggest checking reviews on other platforms and making a comprehensive judgment. Based on my stay, I personally wouldn't recommend it.

Among hotels near the airport, this is probably the best choice for business travelers. It's affordable, offers airport shuttle service, and is just a few minutes' drive from the airport. There's a restaurant on the second floor where you can order lunch and dinner, and they'll even deliver it to your room.
Great location, one of the best hotels in the city. Parking was easy underground and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The room had a great view of the city and was incredibly clean. Overall; an excellent stay!

We were driving back to Beijing and decided to stop for a night in Hohhot. We're a group of three adults and one child, so I specifically looked for a suite or a room with one king bed and two single beds. After searching countless options on different apps (maybe I just didn't use them right), this was the only place I found that had what we needed. The price was quite high, probably due to the National Day holiday, but we figured we'd just go with it. When we arrived and parked in the underground garage, I was shocked by the mosquitoes, the smell of the grease trap, and the overall environment – I've never seen anything like it. The lobby was bustling, almost like the entrance to a shopping mall. The room had an older style of hotel decor, which I'm fine with. Once inside, I realized it was actually two rooms connected by a secret door that had been opened, essentially making it one large room. I feel like this should have been mentioned when I booked or at check-in. Also, the king-sized room had hot water for showering, but the twin room didn't have any hot water for a long time, though it was back in the morning. The breakfast was decent. Overall, it was okay; it's definitely a hotel in a bustling area with plenty of food and amenities right outside.

The breakfast was delicious, especially the lamb offal soup, which was incredibly fragrant. I was also incredibly lucky to encounter heavy snow, and seeing the rime frost weighing down the branches truly made me feel the harshness of the Northeast. The view outside the window was stunning, with the city lights shining brightly. The front desk even upgraded my room, and the service was exceptionally warm and welcoming. I'd also like to commend the shoe-shining cloth in the room, which was designed to fit on your hand – very convenient!

GGuest UserThe hotel is about 4 kilometers away from the highway. The hotel is very convenient for parking and dining. There is a gas station more than 100 meters away from the hotel, so it is a good choice to take a break as a self-driving tour. In addition, hotel services and facilities are also good.
GGuest UserBuilding 6 is still too old. Before I checked in, the staff said it hadn't been renovated in 20 years and that I could check out within half an hour. It was raining when I arrived that evening, so I didn't bother. To save my elderly family from having to climb stairs, I stayed on the first floor. The whole room was damp. The paintings on the wall were clearly carefully designed 20 years ago. The room even had a bathtub, giving it the air of a 5-star hotel, but it was so old that the paintings were falling out of their frames. They burn wormwood in the lobby, so I didn't see any cute beneficial insects in the room. I didn't see any room service in Building 6. The front desk is in Building 7, but I drove through the main gate that night and searched for a long time but didn't see any clear signs pointing me to Building 7 for check-in.

GGuest UserThis stay was a pleasant surprise! The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was incredibly soft, like sleeping on clouds. The mattress provided just the right amount of support, and with the excellent soundproofing from the double-glazed windows, I slept soundly until morning. The bathroom had a perfect wet/dry separation, and the hot water supply was ample and consistent. The branded toiletries were high quality, and the towels and bath sheets were thick and soft. Every corner of the room was spotlessly clean, and amenities like a smart TV, high-speed WiFi, and bedside charging ports were all readily available. The attention to detail truly impressed me.
YYiranzhiyinI am very satisfied with the room, the hotel facilities and equipment are very good, and the room is very clean. Now my sister's service is also very good, which has helped us solve many problems and will come again. I am very satisfied.

SSilverhelmRoom floor wasn’t cleaned, there was stinky smell and big stains. Door and walls probably too thin. Too much noise at the night. I was able to hear the conversation of the neighbors. Employees were polite. Without smell, stains, and noise it could be good place to stay. Suddenly my experience wasn’t that good.
Mmayflower1983I drove home and passed by Tongliao and stayed at Juzi. First of all, the parking lot is very large and has no worries. Second, the hotel is newly renovated and the facilities are great. The electric heated toilet and mattress are amazingly comfortable. The service is very good. I asked to change the room and it was handled very quickly and thoughtfully. Third, it is very close to Wanda. I went to Wanda and had a haircut at Baimu Hair Salon downstairs of the hotel. I was very satisfied. I highly recommend it.
GGuest UserThe hotel experience is great! The room is spacious and bright, the mattress is very comfortable, the bathroom facilities are complete, and the service is warm and thoughtful. The key is that the whole house is smart, the experience is full, and it makes people feel good. It is near the square and there are many snacks around, which is very convenient!

MM47015****The Baochen Smart Select Hotel was such a pleasant surprise! The room was spotless, and the bedding was soft and odorless, making for a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and patient, proactively recommending local eateries and routes. The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, making it easy to explore and get around. The facilities are excellent, with plenty of hot water and fast Wi-Fi; every detail shows their thoughtfulness. The value for money is incredible! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town and have already recommended it to my friends!
