On april 5 at 10pm i called their reservation front desk to confirm if theres available room and also our company discount. I wasnt able to get the name of the front desk who answered my call but instruction me to send sms of my info. On April 6, i went to the hotel to early check in but the apologized because if cannot see my name on their reservation list. instead of declining me, front desk personnel YNA made a way to look for available room for my family 💖 Im just so happy of their effort for going and beyond. Its my first time staying on this hotel and sury will come back. I love their rooms, and pool, their Buffet area is superb. The only thing i dont like is their Bathroom, it becomes flooded when u take a bath Lol. The sink is not fixed. aircon should not be centralized u need to call front desk to adjust the temp.

I love the place, very accessible it's just 5 hrs away from Cavite. The guards, receptionist and cleaners are all nice and friendly. I love the pool beach access to the pool, it was clean and big and you can just chill there all day. I also love that they put random chairs at the beach where you can sit and just watch the beautiful sunset of La Union. Check in time is also reasonable they allowed us to check in at 1:30 since the room is already available. They also have a complimentary birthday arrangement if you note that it's your birthday during reservation. I love their couple massage room, quite and clean and the therapist are also good. Overall my stay was so good except when I dine at their Coast restaurant, I don't expect some royal treatment but a polite staff would be nice. When we arrive to eat lunch the waiters take forever to bring you the menu, they won't help or point you where to seat they would not greet you or anything when you come in, this was a very unusual experience for a 5 star hotel, but even though their servers are not professional the sisig and grilled squid taste good so I gave them a chance and dine in again and was thinking maybe they have a better service during the evening but my gosh it was far even more worse, there are so many flies at our table and we have to consistently ask for assistance again which takes forever, they would not even make an effort to find a better table for you and I end up moving to another table by bringing my own plate w/ zero assistance and the servers are just staring, so my last straw was when there are still flies everywhere I just asked if we can just have the food packed and politely ask to pls include the fish and chip sauce I still have but being the consistent awful servers at Coast restaurant of course when we arrive at the room there is no sauce so I was not able to eat my left over fish and chips, although the pansit and fish and chips taste good it would not suffice my irritation with the service and again it was not even crowded there are only few tables with people seating so I cannot just imagine if madaming tao sa restaurant I am usually more understanding kapag mas busy but having 2-3 tables occupied with this amount incompetent staff was just wow, since I learned my lesson the hard way we dined at salt and sea the next day and they are far more better than the servers at coast, the food was also good at Salt and Sea so yeah when I comeback I will definitely skip Coast. Complimentary breakfast is also at Coast, there are typical Filipino breakfast selection which is ok to fill your tummy but just be prepared to wait if you want sausages, lol. There was a waiter who got 10 sausages in a row to bring wherever and it was just only refilled with 20 sausages that time so there are only 3 people on the line who were able to get the another 10, typical coast service. Most waiters here would not even smile or greet you, it's like you are invisible, even a cheap carinderia wou

My family and I had an outstanding experience at Hudor Resort. Everything was perfect. The water at the beach and pools was just right in temperature. The sand was smooth and neat. Most of all, we had a wonderful view of the sunset and the beach. Even when you're resting, you're about to sleep, and when you just woke up, the beach is just right there. The rooms are very pleasant, with all of the necessary amenities and hygiene kits, as well as a shower heater. The staff is really accommodating. They included meat as well as vegetables for breakfast, giving the impression of a well-balanced diet. They also serve nutritious juices and coffee. Overall, it was a magical experience; we felt like we were in paradise, and we definitely intend to go back.

A newly opened Hotel in San Fernando, La Union provides comfort with an affordable rate. Located along McArthur Highway and very adjacent to Robinsons Mall. Only has rooms good for a maximum of two guests, no family room is available. The beds are very comfortable and the interiors are very classic. No locks on the CR. Needs assistance when using the elevator.

Laoag doesn't have lots of hotels. I googled for an accommodation and I chose Viven Hotel primarily because of its location. It's just right across Robinsons Place -- the best and biggest mall not just in the city, but in the entire Ilocos region. The room I booked was also spacious with a nice toilet and shower room, air-conditioning system, TV with cable channels, and so forth. As to the hotel itself, it's got quite a number of useful facilities ... a restaurant and a hair salon on the ground floor, a ****** Filipino upstairs, a souvenir shop, etc. I don't know if it's got a parking lot since I took a taxi from the airport, which is just about 10-15 minutes away. Hotel service is good and the staff is very helpful. They helped me organize a drop-off service to Pagudpud. Thumbs up!

Staff was extremely accommodating, warm and attentive. Room, sheets, bathroom was clean and in-room food service was great! The building does look old, there’s only one small elevator, but I guess the staff more than makes up for it. They are responsive and very keen on making your stay comfortable!

We stayed for 2N/3D in this hotel. We booked via the hotel's website. Two adults and 2 kids ages (11 and 13). We were told that in their policy 13 year olds are considered an adult. KZ the front desk officer after explaining to her about their website extended the courtesy not to charge us extra. She even offered to give us extra pillows. But when we asked for extra towels they were charging us ₱1,000.00/ day per person. Since we are 4 and they only give 2 towels, that means I have to pay ₱4,000.00! Isn't that amazing?! Amazingly weird and infuriating! In the evening we returned from the wake of a friend's father. When I approached the front desk to ask for the pillows. She asked me a question that I thought was settled already when we checked in. For a moment I thought I was in a hospital being asked by residents and student nurses about my medical history over and over again. I was so tired from the long drive from Manila to Pangasinan and driving back and forth from Urdaneta (where the hotel is) to Tayug (where the wake was being held). So my patience is so short that I snapped at the lady and told her to not ask me anymore about the age of my kids as we have settled it when we checked-in. To me there is no point in asking that and it does not make them sound professional. Then the horror came the next morning. At around 9 or 10 AM the housekeeping started knocking on our door. That obviously woke us all up! Since we slept around 2am, we were all still sleeping. So I got out of the bed to check if the knocking was on our door or from the other rooms, He knocked and announced housekeeping a couple of times. Since I was still half a sleep I didn't answer back. To my surprise, he opened our door to enter!!! Never in my life have I experienced this intrusion in all of my stays in hotels here and abroad! I do not have to hang the do not disturb sign for house keeping to know that I do not want to be disturbed! If I wanted to have our room cleaned or be made up, I will hang the sign that says ”Please make up the room”! If there is no instruction left on the door, you have no right to just barge into our room! So when he opened it, I slammed the door back to close it! And yelled and asked why he has to do that?! We are still sleeping! As a result of that experience, we felt especially my kids that we are not safe in the hotel. There was not even a double lock on the doors for instances like this. Because of that we had to bring all our things with us when we went back to the wake and just left our clothes. When we got down, I went straight to Gabriel, the front desk personnel on duty that morning and inquired about their policy when it comes to housekeeping. Simply put, he said that it was not the policy of the hotel to just go in. Of course! They know that room 603 was occupied that day! Why would they do that! As I have said, this in not the first time we've checked-in in a hotel. We are even Accor Plus m

The scenery in the manor is still relatively atmospheric, a bit like Disney, you can take pictures with retro skirts. The hotel room is relatively old, and the furnishings in the room are relatively simple. But the price can't be too high. I don't know why, even if the air conditioner is turned off, the room is very cold. Although it is old, the facilities are still in normal use. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel tastes good and the price is not expensive. The zoo in the hotel was a highlight, the animals were well cared for after two years of the outbreak. The rest of the outdoor facilities have fallen into disrepair as they are left unattended. The beach horseback riding option that Ctrip can choose when booking a room has long since ceased operation due to the epidemic, and beach motorcycles have to be borrowed from other resorts a day or two in advance. The price is also very expensive, and Ctrip has not updated it in time. If you are afraid of noise, try not to choose the room facing the pool. There will always be a bunch of Filipinos chatting in the pool very early.

The rooms are small, tired and grubby, clearly worn out and way past their refurbishment date. The in room/wall air-con units were 30+ year old units and extremely noisy and not very effective, making a restful sleep very difficult. The bathrooms were dirty, dark and disgusting even for a three star hotel. The lighting was so poor you could not use the mirror for shaving as you could only see one side of your face! Whilst cleaned every day the room/bathroom never felt clean and certainly were not inviting. In house dining options were very limited as was the menu, with the second floor dining room doubling as a bar (with no atmosphere). Staff in general were always helpful. Renovations had commenced during our stay (providing an additional source of noise during the day). I hope the finished product is a significant improvement.

Me and a friend stayed there for one day and we thought we wont need to buy a toothpaste and soap but we had to coz they only provided one tiny toothpaste and one tiny tube of 3 in 1 shampoo/soap/conditioner. Not enough for two persons who will take a bath twice a day and brush their teeth twice also. Their blanket is small also for two thin body adults. Its like their blanket is only for 1 person same with their toothpaste and 3in1 soap. If you want another blanket you have to pay

Kabalayen Hotel offers a cozy and comfortable stay in the heart of San Carlos City, pangasinan. The hotel's central location makes it convenient for exploring the city's attractions . The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with essential amenities. We appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The breakfast provided was simple but tasty, featuring local dishes. While the hotel lacks some of the luxuries of larger resorts, it provides excellent value for money and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for budget-conscious travelers seeking a convenient and pleasant stay in San carlos city.

Rooms are not really big (compared to other hotels in Dagupan). No elevator. Staff are really nice especially the guard who helped me park my car. No hot shower but their water seems to be not cold. Slippers are provided. Not for those who wanted to rest and watch as their TV channels are really not clear. WiFi is fast.

Very good modern hotel, done out very tastefully and with lovely staff. It has a good location in the town center, close to the iconic church shrine, and places to eat and small shops. The free parking is another plus, as is the diligent and professional security. Filipino breakfast also very nice. The WiFi is fast and TV choices OK. Just one thing is letting it down - if you are looking for a nice hot shower late at night or early in the morning, forget it. There does not seem to be any hot water at those times, and it’s lukewarm at best for the remainder. We asked about that, but received non-commital reply that everything was running ok and the maintenance staff was on day off on a Sunday. If we wanted they would give us a bucket of hot water to wash with. Sorry, but guests paying for a hotel like this, which isn’t a budget outfit, expect hot water. Maybe it’s trying to save money I don’t know (some sort of system can be heard running around 5 in the morning and warm water is on tap around an hour or two later). But either way, would only return again if that issue is fixed. So, great place with a bit of an issue with its hot water. Its excellent staff ensure a high score, despite its shortcomings which are definitely a management / ownership issue.

The price is not expensive in the city, the accommodation environment, hygiene and other than the same price of the hotel, service attitude is standardized, it is recommended, although the decoration time is relatively long, but no smell, this is a good advantage.

New, well kept with nice finishing touches inside. Very close to 100 Islands Gateway and quiet property. Great for couples/traveler’s to get to the Isla da and affordable short term stay.

The amenities like the pool and the beachfront are the good thing about this hotel. Not too crowded when we had our stay. They have very accommodating and courteous staffs and the vicinity is kept clean and comfortable. They are enough spaces to spend good time with the family and friends. We had the premier room and it was very comfortable with a pool view. The one facing the shore would have had a fascinating view of the sunset and the shore. The price is higher than the ones around it but was reasonable if traveling is big groups.

The access road is narrow one way so maybe go around the back of palengke. Check-in was friendly and fast. The atmosphere is romantic and quaint. A cute resort style. With 3 very mall swimming pools. The beach is quiet, clean, nice and private but with a steep slope down and warning signs mark the entry way that it could be dangerous to swim. And I can see why. Not really for kids unless you born at the beach and know it's quirks. Breakfast was 4-5 pre set choices but very OK for me. For me just some fruit pcs and bread, honey with butter will do the trick. With a juice and coffee. We went to Kahuna beach for some sea swimming and surfing lessons. Which is like 10 minutes by car or 50P per person in tric which strikes me as steep. The beach is much more shallow for safer swimming. But also quite busy acting as the public beach. But if you like peace and quiet and enjoy the beach itself this place is really an option. Rooms were older quaint style but roomy. Shower was nice but please change the shower head in room 8. It is spraying everywhere. The bed mattress was good but I didn't like the bedding being only a cheap blanket. No sheets. Staff was excellent and friendly. Oh and the restaurant is also recommended. We ate 2 out of 3 nights just at the resort and very good for Filipino choices.

Monaliza Surf Resort offers the best location having located by the beach, literally. I stayed in Room 3, accomodation for 6 with my family. The room has a balcony which leads to, yes, the beach and the party! Room is nothing too fancy but leaves enough room for all of us, with 2 bunk beds and a sofa/beds.

The place was clean, although a bit far from the main road. We had a comfortable stay. Water pressure is low, but it is still flowing. The pool was heated and although too much chlorine. Staff are nice and friendly

the room is good only the bed the bathroom has bad smell and not so clean, you paid expensive for the room but its not nice☹️ the beach to you cannot swim please post it that the beach is not ready. we go there to swim to the beach and pool but the bad news the beach is not ready and you cannot swim because theres a lot of rock.

What a beautiful small hotel property just near San Juan, La Union (in Bauang). My wife booked it on Agoda due to its reasonable price, and since we were traveling to Baguio the next day, it was a great choice because of its proximity to Naguilian Road (the road to Baguio City). We celebrated our Christmas Eve at the resort! The location was fantastic as it is right on the highway, close to many essential shops in San Juan and Bauang, La Union. Parking was secured and within the resort premises. The property is spacious and features a clean pool, a kids’ playground, and a garden where you can relax. The hotel was beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and ornaments, which captivated our two young children. Although the swimming pool wasn’t designed for very young kids (ours are 2 and 5), the rest of the facilities were family-friendly. The restaurant is beautifully designed in what they called a “Bali style”—it truly felt like dining in Bali! The rooms were spacious and had their own terrace. Everything was in perfect working condition: the air conditioning, hot water system, Smart TV, and WiFi all functioned well, even for streaming. However, it would have been better if extra pillows were provided in the room. There was a bench beside the window that could be used for sleeping with a thin mattress on it, but the windows couldn’t be opened. Toiletries were complete, and the room smelled fresh—no musty odor—thanks to the charcoal and scented humidifier, which was a nice touch. The restaurant served delicious food, and we ordered our Christmas Eve dinner there. The prices were reasonable. They also had some grocery items available in the restaurant, which was helpful in case you forgot to bring essentials. One thing missing was an electric kettle and drinking glasses in the room, although the restaurant staff was happy to provide hot water upon request. Speaking of the staff, they were exceptionally hospitable! We will definitely stay here again the next time we have a stopover in La Union.

It’s a great place to stay.... Staff were friendly caring and pleasant, starting from the reception. Meals are very good and delicious... Rooms are warm while outside is very cool. Well maintained hospital. I highly recommend the hotel for locals and foreigners. I would probably choose Orient hotel next time as I have experience warm welcomes of the staff, excellent service and pleasantness of hotel crew.

Hotel Mercante was such a great part of my fun, peaceful, safe, educational, and rejuvenating stay in Vigan (Jan. 29-31, 2024). I had been skeptical at first about the 4.5 (out of 5) average rating that the hotel has received so far from Trip Advisor reviewers. After all, there are many other more popular (higher-rated and understandably higher-priced) options for accommodations in the city. But having enjoyed the Hotel Mercante experience myself, I do recommend the place for no-fuss travelers like me, who simply want a safe, clean, quiet, and efficiently run hotel. More than the basic amenities, however, there is something truly commendable about the hotel’s staff and management, with their warmth, care, and professionalism. Of course, hotel employees are trained to smile and to be polite, helpful, and efficient. But in my interactions with the Hotel Mercante team, I sensed a sincerity and an unobtrusive desire to be of assistance that is beyond the call of duty. Early on (before I had even set foot in Vigan or met anyone there in person), I had been relieved and grateful for the prompt and kind email responses I got from Hotel Mercante while I was searching online for accommodation options. I had emailed other hotels, but the responses from HM (particularly, Solenn and Sofie, Front House Associates) were not only prompt but also written in the friendliest and most professional tone. They courteously and clearly answered all my email inquiries. They were also considerate enough to offer the best room-rate options available, which meant a lot to a 60-year-old solo traveler like me. I also had fun getting some quick lessons on basic Ilocano phrases from Stan (the night guard, who welcomed me when I arrived early in the morning) and Sean (front desk officer, though perhaps his position may be higher—I met him the day I was leaving). “Agyamanak, ading!” (Thank you, young man/woman) and “ag pagna pagna” (just strolling or walking around to relax and enjoy the sights) will, from now on, be part of the limited Ilocano vocabulary close to my heart. I am also grateful to Sarah (front desk), Steve (housekeeping), Paige (Cantina Mercante), Shea, Suzy, and others whose names I wasn’t able to get. For solo travelers and for families or groups, Hotel Mercante is value for your money. But most of all, it is value for your (even more precious) time and trust. It may not be the most popular or most expensive/trendy/classy hotel in Vigan, but all I really needed was a place for homey, clean, safe, quiet, reasonably priced and very conveniently located accommodations—with excellent service and heartwarming staff. And I definitely, thankfully, got all that at Hotel Mercante.

it was raining hard when we reached this place and the parking area was starting to get flooded. there was no staff to welcome the guests or offer umbrellas to shield us from the downpour. the hotel is not within the city of vigan. we were ushered to our room by one hotel helper who assisted us with our luggages. courteous and jolly guy. food was typically done the ilocano way. i'm used to the taste and the way it was presented. what i'm very particular about was the repetitive banana being offered for dessert, either boiled, caramelised or served very ripe. our towels were never replaced for the 4D/3N we stayed. they just assumed we didn't care since we didn't bother to request for a new set. the telephone in our room has no dial tone. the bathroom exudes an unpleasant smell at a particular hour at night. but overall, we felt welcomed as we stayed longer. we were allowed beyond the time to continue with our socials. the staff just let us be while singing our hearts out. they were very kind and understanding when we ask for small favors from time to time. might stay here again next time.

This is the first and only museum hotel in the Philippines and it was just an amazing experience. The staff are were welcoming, the location is perfect, right around the corner from Calle Crisologo. There is a swimming pool in the centre of the hotel, but unfortunately we had bad weather during our stay and couldn’t enjoy it. The room is spacious and comfortable, and breakfast is served in “a la carte” style, instead of a buffet. Everything was just very enjoyable and Vigan is a must for visitors in the Philippines!

Very accessible. The staff are very friendly and 5 star for value of money. The hotel is just in front of Plaza Salcedo. The famous Calle Crisologo is just a few meters away. The hotel room is spacious with complete set of toiletries provided.

My family I were looking for a place to stay in Vigan for a short trip. I was able to book this trip through Agoda for a great price. This hotel is very clean and super accommodating. It’s near the main attractions of Vigan City as well. I’m very grateful that my family and I were able to stay here during our visit. We will definitely be back!
