Grand Suites Murchison

Grand suites is an excellent hotel. The rooms are modern, spacious, quiet, well designed and with very good facilities. The site is well maintained and although it is near the main road, we did not experience any noise in our room. Receptionist was welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel without reservation.
Avalon Manor Motel

We booked direct and were confirmed with the motel well ahead of time in July 2021 for a two bedroom unit for 3 persons for a one night stay in January 2022. On arrival, the owner told us she had made a mistake and our 2 bedroom unit was now occupied and we were given a one bedroom unit. Sleeping arrangement was one bed in the lounge and one double bed in the bedroom. As it was a one night stay, we reluctantly stayed, without any concession from the owner in the form of an apology. So take heed that your requested booked accommodation may not be what you get. It was a hot night during our stay, and there is no air conditioning. One portable fan was provided in the bedroom, and no cooling for the lounge. Hence, a very restless night. Location was convenient, easy walking distance to restaurants and supermarket. We paid $225NZ for our stay.

It's such an amazing vibe!!! Absolutely LOVED my stay here. I wish I could have stayed longer! The vibe, the staff, the veiws, everything was perfect. I've been all over the south island in my van, and this was BY FAR the best place I stayed at. The staff are super helpful, kitchens were clean, showers were hot (and included in the stay), and just The Barn itself is so homey I could see the Abel Tasman track from my campsite!! Cheers to The Barn!!! And Park Cafe for open mic night on Thursday

Motueka Top 10 Holiday Park
4.4/548 Reviews
Stayed in the Accommodations at Motueka Top 10 Holiday Park for one night in Feb’24. I was really impressed with the park and did not realize how big it was. The park has room for RVs, and a number of rooms – both ensuite and others that utilize shared bathrooms. They have a lot of pamphlets for activities and can help make reservations or recommendations. The location of the holiday park is near a number of restaurants (within walking distance) and about a 20-minute drive from the Abel Tasman Coast Track trailhead. I reserved one of the last rooms available, which had 2 queen size beds and bunk beds. The room was very tidy, the bed was comfy, and the shower had excellent water pressure/temp. There was free parking and the area was very quiet. I did travel solo but definitely noticed how family oriented the place was. They had a small park, jumping pillow, etc.
Alpine Lodge

It's too hot, so you can live in a familiar place and feel relieved. The temperature here is always lower than the town. Went to play in the lake. The lake is particularly cold. The lake is very large and deep, although the sun is very strong, the water is still not warm. The suites in this hotel have a full set of kitchen utensils, making it easy to cook. The hotel itself has a restaurant. There is a small shop across the road that also sells food.

Murchison Lodge

We stopped over for 1 night to break our journey from the West Coast back to Picton. The lodge is a beautiful timber building. spacious and with lots of different nooks and crannies for sitting and relaxing inside ant out. We were lucky to be the only guests that night so had the whole house to ourselves. Our upstairs suite was spacious with a lovely view of the countryside. A walk out the back of the property took us down towards the river. Very picturesque. Daphne and Phillip made us very welcome and were friendly and easy to chat with.
