This was our fifth stay at The Peninsula Chittagong. We visit family in Chittagong and will likely return in 12–18 months. For many years this was arguably the leading business hotel in the city. The newer Radisson Blu has overtaken it for luxury and facilities, but it is a category above and you pay considerably more. The Peninsula still offers an excellent balance of location, comfort, facilities and value. I genuinely want the hotel to succeed. I even offered to sit down with a manager to share constructive feedback. Many issues are small and inexpensive to rectify but could make a significant difference, particularly for international travellers, who appeared to make up a large proportion of guests. Our Super Deluxe Room was spacious and comfortable. We like the traditional Bangladeshi style and solid timber furniture. Older décor isn't a problem – it gives the hotel character, and our room had been freshly painted. The ground-floor café is excellent: attractive, very clean, good choice, charging points for laptops/devices and very good value. The private fine-dining room is beautiful. Breakfast and evening buffets were also excellent, with a huge variety for Bangladeshi and international tastes. Detailed cleaning and maintenance need more attention. The hotel isn't dirty, but there were stains and marks that appeared simply to need wiping. Some older light switches/fittings had considerable built-up grime. Their age isn't the issue – a minute with suitable cleaner could probably make them look almost new. Bathroom silicone was missing, loose or badly discoloured; removing, cleaning and resealing it would cheaply transform the appearance. The traditional/older character isn't the problem – we like it. It's the small maintenance details. The hairdryer was very dated, flimsy and starting to fall apart. The minibar door was cracked but worked. Air-conditioning worked well but was noisy, so we used the lowest setting to sleep. The older toilet design allows the water to rise considerably when flushing, and the flush is exceptionally loud; neighbouring toilets could also be heard at night. The toilet-roll holder was awkwardly behind you and the overly long bidet hose rubbed against the vanity, creating more noise. For a business hotel, charging points and light controls on both sides of the bed would be a worthwhile upgrade. The attractive solid timber floor is also surprisingly slippery in socks, so take care. Corridor acoustics aren't great and doors slamming from guests or housekeeping can be clearly heard. Quiet self-closers could make a considerable difference. Our biggest issue was requesting a quiet room but being placed on the 14th floor directly beneath the 15th-floor bar. On our final night, very loud bass-heavy music could be heard in our room. I called around 10:30pm and was promised a call back within five minutes. Around 10–12 minutes later I was told it had been turned down and would finish within 10 minutes. There was no noticeable reduction and it eventually stopped around 11:08pm. Guests specifically requesting quiet rooms shouldn't be placed directly beneath the bar. Our room cards also failed around 10–12 times between us during the five days we occupied the room, requiring repeated trips to reception. Another small observation: several waiters sometimes attend the same table. In the UK we're accustomed to one waiter looking after a table, providing continuity and making tipping simpler. Overall, another very good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, the food is excellent, the café is particularly good and the location is hard to beat. Most issues don't require major refurbishment – better detailed cleaning, fresh silicone, quieter doors, updated amenities, reliable key cards and better quiet-room allocation would make a substantial difference. We genuinely want The Peninsula to succeed. We expect to return again in 12–18 months. Hopefully we'll see some of these straightforward improvements next time.

Our group of nine had excellent service with airport shuttle available. The hotel was new, had a large swimming pool, and was very close to the beach. It was a rare local hotel that catered well to Chinese tastes. The hotel's fusion cuisine was reasonably priced and tasty, but the breakfast buffet wasn't quite to everyone's liking. The fried noodles, however, were quite good.

The room was spacious and quiet, and the breakfast spread was generous. The hotel facilities were comprehensive. Right across from the hotel, there's a restaurant that offers great value for money and caters perfectly to Chinese tastes. We stayed for a week and had dinner there every night. Overall, a fantastic stay.

A Memorable Stay at Ramada Cox's Bazar My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ramada in Cox's Bazar, and it was an experience we won't soon forget. Our trip started with an unexpected hiccup – a fire incident at Dhaka Airport forced us to take an overnight bus to Cox's Bazar. Arriving at the hotel on October 19th, we were understandably anxious about the room availability. However, Ms. Fatima at the reception truly turned our experience around. Sensing our worry, she skillfully arranged an upgrade to a room with a stunning view. Her professionalism and kindness immediately impressed us and set the tone for a wonderful stay. The hotel's location is simply unbeatable, with direct access to the beautiful, endless sandy beach. The rooftop restaurant offered breathtaking views, adding to the overall charm. Having traveled extensively, we were particularly impressed with the hotel's services. Our room was immaculate, with excellent bed comfort and cleanliness. The staff was well-mannered and proficient in English, making communication effortless. The lobby was also well-presented and inviting. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the following staff members who made our stay exceptional: Ms. Fatima, Mr. Salim (the shuttle bus driver), the customer service team at the reception, the staff at the restaurants on levels 2 and 12, the chefs, floor staff, housekeeping, security personnel, and the porters. Everyone contributed to making our stay truly memorable. We highly recommend Ramada in Cox's Bazar to anyone looking for a remarkable hotel experience.

All over the experience was good. The hotel is nearer to the laboni and sugandha beach. So easily anyone can walk and reach the shore within 10 minutes. All the Burmese shop are 5 minute walking distance and affordable than anywhere else. Most of the known restaurants like al goni, handi, palongki ar nearer and we do not have any trouble to find out a place for dining. We got a buffet breakfast for two morning of our stay and there are varieties in menus for two days so it became enjoyable as there is no significant repeatation. But if Desert item and fruit juice were available, it'be topnotch hospitality. The swimming pool is just amazing and we had fun there. At a time I felt I was drowning in the pool don’t know how, the responsible person was running towards me for my scream and made me relaxed. Thanks to them. We got a room for two bed for four people and everything was quite good. But the thing I mention about the hotel is the cleanliness. As a 5 star hotel the management should be more cautious about cleanliness of room and washroom they serve us. The common washroom in lobby are too odorous that no one can use it. The washroom in the prior room was not so clean. The room bed cover and comforter are not so clean as well. If they look into this, the Hotel Cox Today will be the first choice ever. I recently stayed at this hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent, very close to the beach and nearby shops and restaurants, which made it easy to move around. The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained. Housekeeping did a good job every day, and the environment was quiet and comfortable for rest. The breakfast buffet was good with a nice variety of food options. The quality and taste were satisfying. One of the best parts of my stay was the staff service. All the staff members were polite, friendly, and very helpful whenever I needed assistance. The rooftop swimming pool was also a great place to relax and enjoy some leisure time. Overall, my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cox’s Bazar and would love to stay here again in the future.

During check-in, they took separate photos of both me and my wife, which made me feel quite uncomfortable. I have stayed at this hotel before, and this was never done. Even when traveling abroad, I have not encountered such a practice in other hotels. During our stay, we consumed some food and paid the bill at the time of check-out. Everything was settled properly, and we completed the check-out. However, about 30 minutes later, the hotel called and claimed that we had consumed two chocolates and had not paid for them. I clearly denied this, but despite my explanation, they repeatedly insisted. Eventually, I was compelled to pay for the chocolates via bKash.

We had an excellent stay at Sayeman Beach Resort in Cox’s Bazar. We traveled as a family of 7, and the experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with beautiful views that made our stay even more relaxing. The staff were courteous, attentive, and always ready to help, which really stood out to us. The beach access was perfect, and the overall ambiance of the resort was calm and family-friendly. We also enjoyed the food—there was a good variety, and everything we tried was fresh and tasty. Traveling with a larger group can sometimes be challenging, but the resort handled everything very well, making our vacation stress-free and memorable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Cox’s Bazar, especially families.

Nice hotel, standard and service is top notch. Room is clean and comfy. Good breakfast spread. There’s also adequate gym facilities, spa and nice rooftop restaurant serving good food with a nice view and reasonable pricing. There is night market in front of the hotel. Nearby there is good restaurant.

It was outstanding hotel I just love their hospitality and behaviour everything was perfect as my expectations. Highly Recommended
