"I always stay at this hotel when I come to Sapasan, it has a very convenient location and no noise from Nevsky Prospekt thanks to good soundproof windows. The rooms are spacious, and there's a minibar with reasonable prices. A bathrobe, slippers, and all disposable amenities are provided. If anything is missing, the reception can promptly assist. The entrance area and staircase are very pleasant to the eye. I constantly want to return to this hotel."

"The hotel is a boutique hotel. Actually, there are two buildings behind the Catherine Church: one called Catherine Palace and the other Catherine Arts. They are operated by the same company, and the front desk is also the same, with similar prices. If you want a room with a view of the church, I recommend Catherine Palace. Regarding room types, if you have two large suitcases, be sure to book a comfortable room of 20 square meters or more. I booked a room of 20 square meters or more, which was generally okay. The bathroom was a bit small, and the plumbing was quite old. I stayed for three days. As for the smell that some people mentioned, I think it's because the hotel uses some kind of disinfectant that doesn't smell very good. Also, the hotel is quite deep, and the ventilation isn't very good. The lack of exhaust in the bathroom might have caused some odors. I opened the windows to ventilate during the day when we were out sightseeing, and there was no smell when we came back at night. The hotel has an excellent location. It's right next to Nevsky Prospekt, next to a metro station, and diagonally opposite Kazan Cathedral. The hotel breakfast is also very good, with plenty of hot food, vegetables, meat, eggs, milk, porridge, and fruits. You can eat your fill and go out. The only downside was the hotel's Wi-Fi wasn't very good. My Honor phone couldn't connect to the network, but my companion could. I don't know why. We had to use our own mobile data. Check-out was super fast, and getting the check-in certificate was quick. Overall, it's an average hotel, but it's relatively affordable on Nevsky Prospekt."

"The service was excellent. Although there are steps at the entrance, the bellhops can help with luggage. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage at the hotel, and it will be in your room when you return in the evening. For checkout, the bellhops also take your luggage downstairs. There's an elevator inside the hotel, but you still have to walk up half a flight of stairs 😂. The environment is fine, and the front desk staff speak good English; they can help with things like calling a taxi. Breakfast was just okay, typical Western breakfast."

At 11 AM, a staff member just opened my door directly with a key. The hotel does offer luggage storage."

"Let's start with the positives: The location is great, very close to the train station with plenty of subway and bus options, making it convenient to get anywhere. There are also many restaurants and supermarkets nearby, offering a wide variety of choices for dining and shopping. The room is spacious, and the bathroom has a wet/dry separation. Although it's an old building, it has been renovated. The front desk staff speaks basic English, and upon check-in, they proactively uploaded my 'Xiao Bai Tiao' (a local ID slip) and offered free luggage storage. Now for the negatives: The bedding is terrible. The sheets and duvet covers are not pure cotton; they're pilling, fuzzy, and stained. The pillows feel like they're stuffed with shredded cotton. The slippers are as thin as paper, and I wouldn't dare use the toiletries. The most frustrating part is that they only make the bed by simply smoothing out the comforter; they don't clean the room, change towels, or provide bottled water (the tap water tastes like rust). However, if you ask for water, they do provide it. I initially didn't want the hassle of changing hotels, but after three days, I decisively moved to another place. The amenities here simply do not justify the price."
