We booked this trip for the engagement meeting of our son and his girlfriend, now officially fiancee and soon to be wife. Not only were the facilities very clean and well maintained (as good as new), the food at Luk Foo Restaurant was also exemplary. The location is also ideal, with a UCC Cafe Terrace just opposite in case you're not into eating breakfast at the Hotel.

It has a beautiful garden. The food in the restaurant is nice. Seats are inside in a Filipino style room, outside you can enjoy the spacious lush garden while have lunch/dinner. The rooms are large, beds comfortable. It is a bit older but the Charme of this resort is stunning. There is a shuttle boat to beaches at Samal island. Short ride to malls, with grab no problem at all. The breakfast is solid. I would say this was my best stay in Davao.

It was a great stay.Location is perfect for travellers who has an earlier flight.it is 5minutes away from the hotel. sorroundings are clean .you can find restaurants nearby.There is laundry store too.accessable if you want to go to the city center there are taxi and jeepneys outside .

At a very affordable rate, you get the best. It is strategically located in the business area accessible to transport and nearby business centers, food centers, etc. The room is very comfy for rest after a long travel. And what I like the most is mabango ang building. Hindi amoy bokbok. Will definitely book again in thus hotel for our next trip in Davao City.

i stayed in another room but surely it was the same experience as everyone else i guess, accessible to everything, safe to stay and the amenities are excellent... just realized before i checked out, the drinks at the bar was not that expensive, maybe because it's local rate and we are in the philippines... idk, i'm just used to see skyrocket prices of everythinv when you dine in a 4/5 star hotels

GGuest UserMe and my family had a great time. Service crew are very polite and helpful. Amenities were superb. We love the beach. It is pricy but worth it. There are some mishap with the list of guests given to the guard upon entry that he needs to check again with concierge. The guard said that there was only one room booked instead of 2. Also the list given to the staff on the number of guests for the complimentary breakfast was only for 4 adults instead of 5. We stayed for 2 nights and there was no problem on the first day. Overall, I would highly recommend Discovery Samal.

The lobby, though modest in size, exuded a calm charm and the check-in process was smooth. We were greeted warmly by staff who treated us with genuine hospitality — their attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. Many previous guests also praised the staff’s politeness and readiness to help. 
We stayed in a studio apartment, and it was nothing short of comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, a coffee/tea maker, minibar, and free WiFi — extremely convenient whether you’re staying briefly or planning a longer stay.  The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness, indeed, stood out during our stay — a point frequently echoed by other guests. 
One of the highlights was the leisure amenities. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe. 
Breakfast and dining at the hotel also deserve special mention. The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying — a great way to start a busy day in Davao. For lunch or dinner, the on-site restaurant served a mix of Thai, Asian, international, and European dishes, giving a variety that could cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.  The presence of a café and even a pastry/deli option made it easy to grab a light meal or snack without leaving the property. 
Location is another strong suit for Dusit Thani Residence. It’s conveniently located near the airport, which is a big plus if you have early flights or late arrivals.  At the same time, it’s still close enough to city amenities, shopping, and other attractions — offering both convenience and comfort. Many guests appreciated this balance of accessibility and tranquility. 
That said, no stay is perfect, and a few aspects could be improved. Some guests mentioned that certain rooms felt a bit cramped or that balcony areas were under-utilized due to cleanliness concerns.  There were occasional gripes about maintenance — for example, shower drains draining slowly or small furniture quirks — and a few found the elevator access between towers a bit awkward, especially if coming from parking.  A minority even felt the place fell short of 5-star expectations in certain respects. 
Still, for us, these were minor blemishes compared to the overall positive experience. What stood out was how the hotel blends comfort, convenience, and courteous service with enough extras to feel like more than just a “place to sleep.” The pool, spa, and kitchen-equipped rooms make it a strong choice for families, couples, business travellers — essentially anyone who values a balance of luxury and practicality.
In conclusion: if you’re looking for a stay in Davao that offers more than just four walls — a place that feels both refined and welcoming — Dusit Thani Residence Davao delivers. Its attentive staff, well-appointed rooms, great amenities, and strategic location combine into a memorable experience. AAlyaaa23It was our first to experience the Pearl Farm and it really exceed our expectation🥰 We had a great time staying at this resort the relaxation, the comfort of their food from breakfast to dinner with snacks and unli drinks, the peace given by the place we felt so well rested, and the staff were all nice and friendly especially to our toddler she really enjoys talking to every staffs she met. The best resort we've ever stayed and we couldn't stop talking how great the place and all people. Surely we will return and stay longer soon.

GGuest UserDisappointing Family Stay Despite Beautiful Resort
This was our first time staying at Dusit Thani Plantation, and unfortunately, it may also be our last. While the resort itself is beautiful, with excellent amenities and friendly staff, the overall service and experience were very disappointing.
Check-in: We had to wait an extra hour before our room was ready. This was very difficult as we were traveling with two babies who were already tired and needed to rest.
Food: Dining was one of the biggest letdowns. We expected high prices, but unfortunately, the quality did not match. During breakfast, the ham served was spoiled, yet instead of apologizing, the staff insisted that the smell was just “because of spices.” I pointed out it tasted sour, but the head chef defended it after tasting himself. Other food items were bland, and our T-bone steak, ordered medium well, came out completely well-done.
Room: The room itself was cozy, but our sleep was disturbed by noises coming from the ceiling at night—sounding like cats or rats.
Service: Staff were polite but very slow and unorganized. I had to ask multiple times for our bags to be delivered, and in the end, I had to walk all the way to reception to collect them myself. Transportation carts were too few to accommodate guests, and the overall check-in experience was the worst we’ve had—no welcome drinks were provided even though they were supposed to be included.
In summary, Dusit Thani Plantation offers a beautiful environment and facilities, but service, food quality, and guest handling fell far short of expectations. For the price paid, we expected a smooth and relaxing family getaway, but instead, it turned into a stressful experience.

GGuest UserI recently enjoyed a wonderful and comfortable stay at RedDoorz Plus near SM Lanang Davao while attending a work-related event, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice! Booking through TRIP.com made the entire process hassle-free, and I truly felt that every penny spent was worth it.
Upon arrival, I was impressed by the security and cleanliness of the property, we also had complimentary bottled 500ml water, and guest kit (tooth brush, toothpaste, shampoo, and bar soap). The friendly staff made me feel right at home, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. I loved having access to free Wi-Fi and a TV in my room, which helped me unwind after busy days. The hot and cold shower was a nice touch, ensuring I felt refreshed throughout my stay.
One of the best perks was the convenient location—just a short walk to SM Lanang, making it easy to grab meals and shop. I also appreciated the option to add breakfast, which was perfect for someone like me who had a packed schedule during the summit. Starting my day with a hearty meal was a real bonus!
The only minor downside was the absence of an elevator, but honestly, it was a small price to pay for such a great experience, especially considering how budget-friendly this booking was.
