stayed overnite room was excellent, reception person was friendly, i was a bit disappointed as i thought it had a bar, and restaurant on site. however there are several fine eateries
and bars next door.. would I stay there again.. definitely
Good value for money compared with other hotels we have stayed at in Nelson. Decor and comfort was good.
A bit of noise from the music in the outside bar area in the early to mid evening, the speaker was right under our window, which might be a problem to some, not to us.
Food was good , but a little on the expensive side for us, personally,
Lovely location right on the water, lovely looking building.
The room has a private bathroom, two single beds, a table, chairs, and a wardrobe; it's fully equipped. The bathroom is bright and spacious. The only drawback is that the boiler next door (or something similar) makes a very loud noise, even during the day. The communal kitchen is a bit small and could be kept cleaner. There's a restaurant and bar downstairs, with a nice atmosphere.
We didnt realise we could have requested a groud floor bedroom. It was tough as an 80 year old lugging three cases and various other items up the stairs. I looked for a lift but couldnt find one. Otherwise apart from the inside of the bathroom door which needs some attention it was ok.
I visited the hotel directly the day before to confirm the reservation, but the hotel said the reservation was not accepted. I think there was some mistake on Trip.com. It is hard to trust. I finally got in touch with the staff in Korea and they resolved it well. Thank you to that staff. My family was very satisfied with the hotel. The staff was friendly and the facilities were good. It was old, but not disappointing. I used the sauna in the hotel, and it was really nice for the first time in a long time.
We were very impressed at how well appointed the room was. Great facilities. We had come to see a show at a theatre a 5 min walk from the Motor Lodge so the location was a dream. Staff were very friendly & accomodating. We will be back & highly recommend. The price was brilliant too.
The price has the advantage of being a little cheaper than other holiday top 10, but it was a little disappointing that towels were not provided.
The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly, which was nice.
Had a private room which was clean and very comfortable. Cosy too. Only spent two nights but would’ve been happy there on a long trip. The shared areas were great too, especially for socialising. Staff were super friendly. Would definitely stay again.
Good motel, beds are comfy, room is clean & spacious. All the utilities are clean. Good locations to everywhere.
Would come back again next time in the future
Happy with the motel.
Thank you 🙂
GGuest UserWe booked a 2 room cabin, the place was quiet that was nice but the place wasn't clean a dirty oven try left in the oven! Plates with crumbs on them! The bathroom fan didn't work so the cabin was super super damp, no soaps or shampoo dispensers were all empty! The bathroom and toilet door didn't close properly or quietly. The main bedroom must have a leak somewhere it rained on the last day and the carpet in the morning was super wet along the window. Couches were uncomfortable feels like it pushes you head forward and the TV had no Internet connection to watch Netflix like advertised. The place is very run down and needs a really really good clean! The accommodation was close to town and quiet. I wouldn't recommend this place spend an extra $100 and stay somewhere else
We stayed in a 5 person Dormitory and all the guests are quiet, friendly, kind, very respectful to each other. The location is perfect for grocery shopping, visiting other attractions. It's around 35min drive to the Cable Bay Adventure Park. We booked the Quad Bike game for 2.5hours and it's so exciting to make it part of our road trip. My son liked it. It's also close to the City Centre and the another highlight of our tour in Nelson, the Centre of New Zealand. The kitchen provide everything you need for cooking. The vibe of the area is so nice. Xmas decorations are pretty relaxed and we loved the Chocolate budding with Ice Cream everyday at 8pm. Highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights at the Apex. Our 1 bedroom suite was spotless- even the windows. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and large tv with dozens of channels as well as access to sign in to your Netflix or Amazon Video accounts. There are several restaurants within walking distance and the beautiful, sandy beach is about a 7 minute walk. It is privately owned and the couple who run it go out of their way to make sure all of their guests are taken care of. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.
Room was Big. V clean n location just about right for us. Flexible check out time. Amenities n toiletries ample. Staff helpful. Parking space right in from nt of my room. Location in close proximity to town center n various out of town touristy places
