First, about the service. As soon as I parked the car and opened the door, there were so many mosquitoes, probably because it was mid-summer. The parking lot security guard was very enthusiastic and helped us carry our luggage and handbags into the lobby in the scorching heat. 👍
Moving on to check-in, the staff were quite welcoming, providing a map and explaining the various attractions within the park. We took a shuttle bus to what they called an upgraded, detached room, which my daughter affectionately called a 'little wooden house.' Oh my goodness, cobwebs were everywhere! The room's pointed ceiling design meant I couldn't blame the cleaning staff for not reaching all the cobwebs. 🕸️ The facilities outside the door hadn't been washed clean by the rain. This hotel, despite being clearly popular, somehow exuded an air of desolation.
Upon entering the room, the air conditioning was powerful, which was a plus. However, there was a persistent musty smell, like moldy AC and a moldy room, that stayed with us until checkout. It made me want to leave immediately. This odor was a stark contrast to the fresh bamboo forest outside. I can't imagine how anyone could stay for two nights; all I wanted to do was escape quickly.
I must say, the air in the garden after the rain was absolutely wonderful. The only exception was the giraffe interaction area, which was incredibly smelly, to the point my daughter had to hold her nose. The bamboo forest cable car is highly recommended – definitely give it a try.
As for the mini beach converted from a reservoir, I'm not sure what to say; it just felt like a filler. Another thing to mention is the locker rental at the beach entrance, which costs 30 for each use. The small radishes for feeding the giraffes were 8 tiny pieces (the staff said 10), probably equivalent to one large carrot, costing 30 a bag. Even coming from a first-tier city, these prices felt exorbitant. The bamboo forest cable car, even with a 40 coupon, still cost 168 for 2 adults and 1 child. Almost all activities inside require separate payment, and the prices are a bit on the high side.
Breakfast was a bit noisy due to a live broadcast and everyone wanting to take pictures with the giraffes. Plus, with the windows open, it got very hot during the meal. For dinner, since it's far from the city, be careful when ordering from the restaurant. The boiled fish had a plastic taste, and the free-range chicken was undercooked and had a strong ***** smell. The prices weren't cheap either.
Overall, children might only enjoy feeding the giraffes, but as an adult, I felt like I wouldn't come back. We checked out at 12 PM, but I wanted to rush out by 10 AM. If you're bothered by small insects or have high standards for cleanliness, I'd advise caution.

ECNU-My three-day, two-night stay was the perfect introduction to a resort-style hotel. Both the hotel's facilities and services were impeccable! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
✅ First, let's praise the hotel's excellent location: who knew the exclusive access to Xan Shan Peninsula was such a privilege?!
(Pictures 1-16 show the hotel facilities and surroundings, unedited photos)
The hotel also boasts a very large garden and surrounding attractions perfect for photoshohoots. It's just beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Within a few minutes' walk, you can reach Xan Shan Botanical Garden (honestly, not much to see, but there are daily parent-child activities), Lover's Gorge (great for couples to take photos), the hotel's exclusive lighthouse (Picture 7, very atmospheric), and the hotel's seasonal fruit orchard (high parent-child interaction, with different fruits available for picking in different seasons).
When the weather is good, you can take many beautiful scenic photos. When it's cloudy or rainy, you can experience the unique humidity of the Jiangnan region and the fresh air provided by the lush vegetation.
✅ Next, let's talk about the hotel facilities.
The hotel is divided into three buildings, A, B, and C. Building B offers the best lake views, with a complete panorama of the lake's beauty. The layout is very reasonable, with convenient connections between all areas. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design.
The indoor and outdoor pools are regularly disinfected with chlorine balls, and the water is clear and sparkling, perfect for children to play in. The hotel also has a swim shop with affordable items, which is very convenient for guests who haven't brought all their swimming gear.
Every day, the hotel has an activity schedule listing the names and locations of various parent-child activities at different times throughout the day. There's a wide variety to choose from.
There's also a super large indoor children's playground, which is cleaned very, very thoroughly. I really want to thank the cleaning staff for their hard work here.
✅ Dining (Pictures 18-19)
The hotel has a Chinese restaurant, a Western restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant, offering a rich and diverse selection. Set meals can also be purchased in advance on your phone. The hotel even provides a free shuttle service to nearby farmhouse restaurants (PS: the prices are very, very, very affordable, and the vegetables are freshly grown and incredibly fresh).
The most commendable aspect of the dining is the complimentary breakfast buffet. The variety is incredibly extensive, and they even adjust the dishes daily to better cater to different guests' preferences. Soups, desserts, freshly squeezed juices, freshly made guokui (griddle cakes), mini-hamburgers, and more! You can also scan a QR code to order noodles and freshly made wontons. I always end up eating too much every day, darn it!
❗️They even consider the need for liquid food for infants and provide various flavors of rice cereal.
In addition, whether it's the minibar in the room and the complimentary welcome drinks (Qiandao Lake beer), the incredibly seasonal, crisp, and sweet fruits, or the thoughtful turndown service, every detail showcases the hotel's humanistic care. It's truly commendable (Picture 17).
✅ The absolute most praiseworthy aspect is the high-end, meticulous, and thoughtful service staff. Special thanks to: Ada and Joey at the front desk for check-in, Connor and Cindy from concierge, and our butler Landy.
As soon as we got out of the car, concierge Cindy greeted us warmly and proactively helped with our luggage, leaving a deep impression. The young man at the front desk who handled our check-in was also very enthusiastic in confirming our booking and upgraded our room for free.
Throughout our stay, Connor drove us to and from nearby restaurants, the lighthouse, and Lover's Gorge. He was practically on duty all day until 10 PM, driving steadily and with a truly excellent attitude. He was super cool!
Finally, and most importantly, our very, very responsible butler, Landy. She first introduced us to the locations and functions of the different venues, and informed us of the breakfast times. From the moment we added her as a friend, she consistently upheld her initial message: ”Please contact me anytime with any questions.” Whether it was day or night, she would respond and answer immediately to any query, booking vehicles, and even introducing nearby attractions and routes (with accompanying pictures for us to decide whether to visit).
During our stay, there was a miscommunication during the cleaning staff's shift change. We had requested no cleaning the day before, but someone still entered the room and tidied it thoroughly. This unannounced entry made us a bit anxious when we returned to the room in the evening. Our butler immediately called us to calm us down and quickly contacted housekeeping. Soon after, we learned it was a thoughtful turndown service. We had initially considered contacting the duty manager to investigate, but we declined. This butler Landy truly, truly deserves praise. Her immediate contact and quick resolution smoothed over the issue, and left us with an extremely satisfying three-day, two-night experience.
Her warm and thoughtful greetings every evening and morning made us deeply feel the hotel's excellent staff training and abundant humanistic care! 👏🏻
See you next time, Freedom Intercontinental Palace!

Anonymous UserI thought a hotel this big would have good hygiene, but I never expected the bed hygiene to be so terrible. It was truly disgusting. I booked two rooms, one for me and one for my parents. In my room, I found very dirty hair on the bed the night I checked in. By the next morning, my parents' pillows had moldy stains. Since we checked in quite late, past 10 PM, my parents were too tired to notice that night. When they woke up in the morning and saw the pillows, it was absolutely repulsive. I only saw it when I went to my parents' room at checkout. When we reported it to the housekeeper, they actually claimed it was hair dye fading... That's just ridiculous! We sleep like this at home all the time, and our hair doesn't fade. Plus, both pillows had it, and my dad has short, un-dyed hair. How could both pillows be like that? Initially, I was angry that the cleaning staff clearly hadn't done a good job and weren't paying attention. But then the housekeeper actually blamed it on our hair fading... I was truly speechless. In any case, I definitely will not be staying here again.

This guesthouse has so much character! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the design. The massive, floor-to-ceiling bookshelf instantly brings a sense of calm, which is especially welcome on a hot summer day. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, browse books, read, or simply have a moment of quiet reflection. Oh, and the owner even gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was incredibly comfortable.

I am a hotel control. Unless there is a better B&B than a hotel, I will update my hotel B&B ranking list after staying at Ke Player. I chose two B&Bs for this trip to Anji. After booking, I found that they were both in the same village. Ke Player, we stayed in a tree house, which was really built against the mountain. It was a bit difficult to climb up, but the feeling of being embraced by nature was great. The aesthetics of the B&B are first-class, the details are great, and the most important service is responsive, far exceeding that of a five-star hotel. It was very late when we ordered takeout, and the housekeeper also delivered it to the tree house for us, and brought us beer and Coke. The bathing pool is also one room and one time period. We chose the night, listened to the insects, smelled the grass, and washed away the smell of a month's work. I hope Ke Player will not forget his original intention and continue to maintain a high level.

Guest UserExcellent value! This was by far the most comfortable stay I've had on a trip this year. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the beds in the twin room were a comfortable 1.5 meters wide. Breakfast was also very generous; in addition to standard hotel offerings, they had local Jiaxing specialties like *zongzi* (sticky rice dumplings) and *shaomai* (dumplings), so there was plenty of choice. I also checked out the hotel's gym and the kids' castle on the first floor, and both were pretty good. The best value, though, was booking the Anfu Lu cruise through the hotel. It follows the same route as Emperor Qianlong, and a professional guide led the entire tour. Everyone on board even got snacks. The whole journey was incredibly relaxing and pleasant, and I learned a lot of interesting things in a great atmosphere. A big thank you to the gentleman at the front desk – he was handsome and his service was excellent. He even went out of his way to heat something up for me late at night. Next time I visit Jiaxing, I'll definitely choose the Four Points by Sheraton again!

Anonymous UserTook the little one to Longwu for the weekend, and overall it was pretty good. The environment is genuinely lovely, nestled right in the tea mountains. The entire resort is built in a Song Dynasty style, which is very charming. The room was spacious; the two adults and one child had plenty of room. They provided kid-sized toothbrushes, bathrobes, and slippers, so we didn't have to bring our own. What's most convenient is that all the activity areas are quite concentrated – the restaurant, pool, and activity zone are just a short walk away, so no need to carry the little one all over the place.
The mini club is quite large. The G.O.s led craft activities and games. My child was a bit shy on the first day but didn't want to leave on the second. The pool has separate sections for children and adults, and there are lifeguards on duty, which makes swimming with kids much more relaxing. There were shows and parties in the evening, creating a lively atmosphere.
However, there were a few minor issues. There's still a slight smell from the new renovation; even with an air purifier in our room, we could still detect it. We waited almost an hour to check in because the front desk said the previous guests' rooms hadn't been cleaned yet. The phone in the room was sometimes hard to get through to, so when we needed something, we just went down to the front desk directly. The floor in the water park was a bit slippery, something for parents with small children to be mindful of. The resort's activity area isn't super large, so when it's busy on weekends, you might have to queue for things like rock climbing and the pool.
Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, suitable for families looking for a quiet place to spend a couple of days and have a hassle-free time with their kids.

Nik ParksWe had an amazing stay here. The apartment is light, spacious and airy. The bed is huge and really comfortable and the shower and bathroom are also lovely. Having a kitchen with utensils, hob and microwave meant we could cook in the evenings which is a huge plus.
Breakfast was included in our stay and it was varied and tasty with some western options, fresh noodles and omelettes, fresh fruits and salads, bread, cheese, pastries and amazing coffee and fresh juices.
We used the pool several times (remember your swim caps!) and it was large and really nice for a swim.
The location is great. It's close to the West Lake area. We walked there and back which was about 45mins each way, but it's also very easy to jump in a Didi to venture further around to see the Tiger Springs or Nine Creeks and Misty Forest areas which are really beautiful.
The staff were very helpful. We arrived a little early and they checked us in straight away and very promptly answered all my questions. We asked for a late check-out and we were generously accommodated which was an added bonus.
Oh - and the lobby and hotel smell amazing too!
We will 100% stay here again when we return to Hanghzhou and would highly recommend it to other travellers if you'd like some luxury alongside home comforts.
