"The apart-hotel is located in the center of Playa del Carmen, close to Walmart, MEGA, OXXO, and other shopping options. It's a 10-minute walk to the beach. We weren't keen on the beach itself due to the seaweed and lack of natural shade from trees. The hotel itself is modernly furnished, and everything is functional. The kitchen comes equipped with dishes, cutlery, a microwave, a refrigerator, a stove, and more, making it easy to cook your own meals. I even have a video of the hotel on my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/BRETfackgms?si=JakzUSOEZ9QXfFM1"

"We have been staying at this hotel for many years as a family and we absolutely love it. Super clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, and great location. The hotel is located within a little bay next to Punta Nizuc that shields the shore from strong ocean currents, so the ocean is calmer. The hotel has access to the lagoon AND the ocean, so you have view to the water on either side of the hotel. The beach was clean and there is a little reef where you can see tropical fish. Super chill and friendly vibe <3"

"1. The hotel's location is great, with bus lines R1 and R2 right outside, which is very convenient. 2. The room I booked was a bit noisy, facing the street, so you could hear cars passing by, but it was still tolerable and acceptable. 3. Breakfast was decent. They said bottled water would be provided, but there wasn't any in the room when I checked in. After calling, it took quite a while for it to be delivered. The next day, after the room was cleaned, there still wasn't any, and I had to ask for it. I'm not sure why. 4. The hotel's private beach is quite nice, and the environment is lovely."

Right on the shore with Mayan ruins within reach of tranquil Tulum. Wake to exotic views from your private wooden deck. Stroll just a few moments to the beach and take your pick from one of the plush cushioned beds under a thatched parasol. Cool off with a local sugar cane mojito- ceviche and tacos on a plump cushion or sofa beside the sand. La Zebra Tulum is the definition of a tropical escape- combining an authentic Mexican look with modern boutique hotel luxury. Suites are chic and jungle-inspired - all richly coloured wood and occasional bursts of colour. La Zebra is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property

"The location is great. The parking lot is just opposite the hotel. The room is a 2-minute walk from the beach. The beach is wide and there are few tourists. I saw the most beautiful sunrise. The large balcony is surrounded by green plants and is very suitable for sunbathing. It is quieter than other hotels at night. The double shower can take a shower at the same time. The hotel thoughtfully prepared three large bottles of drinking purified water and a woven bag for going out... I like Tulum starting from the hotel."

"The hotel staff were all incredibly kind, and both the room and facilities were spotless. The food at the poolside bar and other snack spots within the hotel wasn't exceptional (for example, the matcha latte I ordered had no matcha flavor at all), but it varied, and the convenience of being able to order something anytime I wanted to eat or drink outweighed any minor disappointments. I made a reservation at the steak restaurant for dinner, and the appetizer salad and soup were much larger than I expected. I felt bad about not being able to finish them, so I'd recommend that those who eat light inquire about portion sizes beforehand. The room service menu was also extensive, and I found myself wishing I could have tried more. While it's not a beachfront hotel, meaning you have to take a shuttle bus to the private beach, and thus not ideal for those who want the ocean right outside their door, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for a wonderful time!"

"Very average rooms with no kettle. Clean enough and the house keeping ladies are always lovely and attentive The whole hotel Needs refurbishing, beach day beds material old and worn with material falling off. Pool towels are nice and thick and fluffy. Expensive restaurant and always several items not available from menu. Bar near reception has happy hour 6.30-7.30 nightly. 2 for one drinks. GGuest UserWe stayed at 3 hotels on the island two of them a bit more established but this was by far our favorite. So much so we checked into another hotel just for the experience and didn’t even stay the night because we felt so comfortable at Soho.. It is far away from the center about a mile and a half which makes it a nice walk each night. My husband is a functioning insomniac and had the best sleep he’s ever had in the past 15 years in the bed there. The breakfast is SUPERIOR!! Josamar and Berna were so accommodating thru out our stay I’ve travelled many places and leaving here I shed a few tears because it was an absolute paradise. The whole staff is there to make you happy. And to anyone who complained about the restaurant being overpriced and not offering enough options. They live off the land , serve food from the land and put love into their cooking so understand that . Holbox holds a dear place in our heart now and that wouldn’t be the case without staying at Soho Boutique Mucho Gracias to the whole staff.

SSS72I found this property Ujo have good reviews on Trip.con and wanted to give it a try. I preferred apartment style stays cos the convenience of having a kitchen allows flexibility for diet-restricted people. The place looked modern and clean. Pretty spacious and functional. Has a balcony with a (not so grande, lol) view of the neighborhood. It was so hot outside even in November, like a sauna, so we didn’t spend anytime on the balcony and kept windows and doors shut to prevent heat and bugs. The AC and two ceiling fans in our room helped greatly for temperature control, making our stay comfortable. Note: the AC only works when you use the key card in the room — inserting it in the power slot and then AC can be turned on. Without a note about it, I thought the AC was not working. But glad the lady there helped to call and figure it out. Simple as that. The bathroom is interesting. It’s mostly good, got a ceiling shower and worked well. They provided organic wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The only part that didn’t make too much sense is the short half wall that is functioning as a divider between the shower part and the dry part of the bathroom. Water would easily splash out — it felt like it was designed for shorter users and didn’t account for a lot of tourists that are tall. Perhaps add a good old shower curtain? Mostly for the property’s own benefit of not getting the floor wet where it shouldn’t be. I sent a request when I booked the room for the hosts to spray bug sprays in the room prior to my arrival. They quickly acknowledged that after my booking and did that before I checked in. Much appreciation. When we checked out, we left our luggage to the host for a few hours. They are very helpful to put them away.  Also this place has bike rentals on site for a good price compared to what we saw outside of the property.  Finally, let’s talk about the overall area. We chose it also because it’s close location to ADO bus station as we came from Cancun via bus. We don’t have any interest in the crazy taxi prices and want to walk as much as we can. So this walkable property (less than 10minutes from Tulum ADO bus station) worked. I also chose it because it’s not on the Main Street where I looked at a lot of properties and found noise complaints. I cannot handle noise past 10pm. I need my rest. So overall, Ujo was quiet in itself, no really close-by clubs, no rooftop parties, and other visitors seemed respectful and not loud after 10pm. BUT, here is the reality, this is a town with many stray animals. And they sleep during the heated day time, and get active at night. So there were barking and meowing for sure that can pierce thru. As well as some traffic sound and remote club noises. Don’t expect 100% tranquility. I am fairly picky about noise but I would say given the town’s reality, this is a very decent spot. I was able to sleep thru the nights without much issue.  Overall the stay met the score it had on Trip.com (9.6/10) when I was booking. If I visit Tulum again, or if someone asked for a recommendation, I would stay/recommend this place.

GGuest UserI love to stay in this hotel but if I have another chance to visit this place I might choose it 50This was my first time visiting Cancun, and I chose this hotel. I had a wonderful and fulfilling stay, but if I had another chance to come back to Cancun, I would say there’s only about a 50% chance that I would choose this hotel again. Let me share both the highlights and the inconveniences. What I liked: Because I booked the all-inclusive option, all food and drinks were free. The food and beverages at the deck restaurant and on the beach were more than perfect. The quality of the food was excellent, the menu was great, and the fruits and drinks were absolutely the best. The hotel room was very spacious. Although our balcony was quite small, I was still very satisfied. The hotel had a charming atmosphere that reminded me of Santorini, Greece. The room was very clean, cool, and always stocked with drinks in the fridge. The hotel also offered a variety of activities. I personally wanted to rest, so I didn’t participate, but it seemed like there were plenty of options. What I didn’t like: Even though it was all-inclusive, I heard that some of the more upscale restaurants were not included, and there was an extra charge to dine there. Since I only stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, I was happy with the deck restaurant, but if I had stayed longer, I probably would have wanted to try them. I also felt uncomfortable with the pushy sales tactics for massage services. At first, the hotel offered me a complimentary massage simply because I was from Canada. However, when they later found out that I was a student here, they canceled it immediately, saying it was only available for working professionals. I hadn’t wanted the massage in the first place, but I didn’t like that they offered it just to get my information and then withdrew it so abruptly. Another downside was the noise. At night, it was very loud, with karaoke-like singing from about 9:30 p.m. until almost 11 p.m. During the day, there was also the sound of drilling from construction that went on for hours. If you are looking for a quiet hotel, this is definitely not the right place. When I first booked through Trip.com, I had reserved a room with a king-size bed. But at check-in, the hotel told me there was no king room available and instead tried to sell me an upgrade to an ocean-view room with a larger balcony and king-size bed for USD $160. I declined, and in the end, I was given a room with two queen beds, a smaller balcony, and a half-ocean view. Honestly, I was still satisfied with that. The hotel is located roughly in the middle of the Hotel Zone—not too far north or south. I had booked a private van, and it took about 20–25 minutes from the airport. They said La Isla Mall was nearby, but when I passed by, I noticed many of the stores were closed. If you come expecting a vibrant shopping mall, you might be disappointed, so keep that in mind.

HHajiyev ToghrulWhen i booked this hotel, just look photos and price. I think like this expensive hotel must be excellent. But... 1. This is like 3 stars hotel. 2. Personals very bad. If you didn't pay them, nobody served for you. Just one time they can give you juice or something. Second time you need wait 20 minutes 3. I booked room for 2 people. But inside everything for one. Need ask many time for bring one more soap, or shampoo. And surely need pay.... 4. No any amenities. Just pool and restaurants. 5. Normally if you pay this money in Dubai or Turkey, you can see whats the 5 stars. He you can't see any stars. 6. I think have just one reason for like this high price. It's a erotic show. Name is erotic. Nothing more. Just name:):):):) So, if you have money, and want to rest. Didn't go this hotel. I booked it for 5 days. But stay there just 1 night.

GGuest UserStandout was the unique rooms which are extremely private, spacious and beautifully designed along the lagoon. Personally I didn’t quite understand the ‘Butler’ concept and found some of the comms style a bit frustrating. The other standout was the ‘Day of the dead’ celebrations. The property was decorated beautifully and very well organised. The opportunity to also participate was great as we felt emerged in the festivities. It would have been nice if the dinner package also included the face painting. More broadly the property is set within mayakoba so you can explore the grounds including the other hotels and it was fun to explore on the bikes. The only other thing to be aware off is also this is the more premium / exclusive hotel in mayakoba it’s still geared towards families or at least there where quite a few kids around. Finally don’t have high expectations of the beach it’s tiny and there isn’t much space. If you want high end luxury visit Maroma.

GGuest UserThis hotel was NOT a good choice. It was pleasantly quiet only because it only offered a place to sleep. There was nothing there except a bar and a small pool. We had to go to the adjoining hotel to eat or for any entertainment. We paid for a premier ocean front room and were told that Trip.com sold us a reservation for a room that was not available. We were put in a room overlooking the parking lot, street, and lagoon. They later moved us to another room considered “ocean view” that has a window overlooking the water. The bathroom was so small that there was no room on the tiny vanity to put anything so there was a small ladder in-the corner to put our toiletries on. There was only one lightbulb in the bathroom …in the ceiling. Even though the hotel photos showed a makeup mirror and large vanity with a shelf, we did not have either. The unlighted shower had no shelf and had a shower curtain that did not contain the water so the bathmat and floor were always wet. We had to go over to a window to have any light. There was a small useless desk in the room with no lamp or plug. The bathrooms in the llobby or around the pool were always dirty with un flushed toilets and wet floors. Several times there was no toilet paper, except on the floor. The food choices were very limited. We could only go to the a la carte restaurants 3 times … all other meals had to be in the buffet which was in the other hotel. The food there was always cold and worse than fast food…. Probably the worst food we’d had in Mexico in the last 20 yrs of coming here. Looked the same every day. You had to give the hostess your room number and wait to be seated. I guess they wanted to make sure you only came in one time. At one point, after the hostess seated us in the buffet area, a manager came over to our table to tell my husband that we were in the wrong place and needed to move! Not sure why that happened and we were NOT happy about the scene that was created. I found the hostess and told her what occurred . She got the manager and I asked her why she singled us out about where we were sitting. She had no explanation ! The whole experience at this hotel was unpleasant. I would NOT recommend it to anyone . There are much nicer places in Csncun with much better food and accommodations.
