"This is my second stay at a Mitsui Garden Hotel, the last one being in Tokyo. The hotel chain consistently offers great service. This particular hotel is very close to Nagoya subway station, about a 5-7 minute walk. There's an underground shopping area right below where you can eat and shop, and a 7-Eleven across the street for breakfast or snacks. Within about a 5-minute walk, you'll also find popular eateries like Sekai no Yamachan, Isomaru Suisan, and Torikizoku, which is very convenient."

"Our stay at KOKO HOTEL was an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel had a very clean, modern, and cozy atmosphere that made our trip even more enjoyable. The staff were polite, welcoming, and always helpful whenever we had questions or needed assistance. One of the things we loved most was the location. The hotel was conveniently close to train stations, convenience stores, restaurants, and shopping areas, which made exploring Japan very easy and stress free. The room was compact yet very well organized, with comfortable beds and all the essentials needed for a relaxing stay. "This hotel is conveniently located on the 15th floor of Nagoya Station Gate Tower Mall. Floors 9-10 house Bic Camera, and Uniqlo and GU are on the 11th floor, making shopping incredibly easy. There's also a popular restaurant on the same floor that often hosts lively events. You'll even find a pharmacy and convenience store on the same level."

"First off, the hotel's location is excellent, which was the main reason I booked it. Metro Exit 10 has an elevator, and it's just a 5-minute walk past a 7-Eleven to reach the hotel. You check in yourself at the lobby on the second floor. There's free luggage storage nearby, and a pantry with ice available, which is a great touch. The laundry room also provides complimentary disposable items, a very thoughtful variety! The room size was ample enough for two suitcases, and it was cleaned daily. Overall, a very satisfying stay. There are also famous fried chicken spots and many local restaurants around the hotel. Great value for money, highly recommend!"

"My main goal for this trip was to get some good rest, so I specifically chose a room on the side away from the main road and booked a more expensive top-floor room. Before checking in, I even requested a corner room, hoping to have no neighbors on either side, but the hotel said they couldn't arrange it, which I totally understood. In terms of soundproofing, if you're on the top floor and not facing the road, it's genuinely very quiet overall. With the windows closed, you basically can't hear any outside traffic or even the normal activities of neighbors. The only exception is if there are kids next door running around loudly in their room, then you'll definitely hear some noticeable noise. I experienced that firsthand this time. However, for those who prioritize convenient transportation, this hotel might be something to reconsider. It's not particularly close to a subway or train station, requiring about a 15-minute walk. If you're dragging luggage, especially in summer or on a rainy day, it can be quite a struggle. In comparison, many hotels near stations in Nagoya offer excellent value for money. I chose this place purely for the peace and quiet and the quality of rest. From that perspective, it completely met my expectations. If I visit Nagoya again and my primary goal is still rest, I would likely choose this hotel again. Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it to travelers like me who value sleep quality and a quiet environment."

"The hotel is located near Taiko-dori Exit, but the name is a bit misleading. It's not actually by the Shinkansen exit, but closer to the Meitetsu line. It's still a bit of a walk from the station, and when coming from the airport line, I initially had no idea which way to go to find the hotel. The room was a typical Japanese-style room, as expected—quite small, but perfectly fine for a stay. The bathroom was an integrated unit, and also very clean. The breakfast was really bad ✗✗✗. While it was a ”buffet,” the selection was extremely limited. A few meatballs and some hash browns pretty much made up the entire offering. The dining area was also tiny, only about the size of two guest rooms. However, the service was something I was quite satisfied with ✅✅✅: The front desk had a dual-sided translator that supported multiple languages, making communication very easy. Before checking in, I emailed the hotel about room types and luggage delivery, and they responded quite quickly. The front desk can arrange Yamato Transport (Kuroneko Takkyubin) to send large luggage ahead to your next destination, which saves a lot of effort during your trip. The price varies depending on the luggage size, and delivery usually takes one day (for the Takayama-Hokuriku region)."

"A great location for visiting around the city - several subway stations are within a few minutes walk in different directions and some attractions like the science museum and Central Park shopping area are close enough to walk as well. The room size was decent for Japan with a nice chair and desk with refrigerator and big tv in the room and enough space for luggage and to walk around the bed. The amenities and snacks provided in the lobby were very convenient and there are several convenience stores nearby. The breakfast buffet had many choices and the main dishes changed every day of our three day stay but I would say it was more Japanese dishes than western. The staff were very friendly and spoke English and the WiFi was ok although a little slow at times. I think this was a great value and location and would recommend it and stay again next time I come to Nagoya."

"Satisfied with this Japanese city hotel – great location and surprisingly well-equipped for its size. The service was also excellent. We got a good price during the off-season, which made it a fantastic deal. It's only a five-minute walk from the Nagoya Shinkansen exit, and about ten minutes to Meitetsu Nagoya Station. There are tons of dining options nearby; I highly recommend an izakaya called 'Daikoku' – their grilled dishes are superb! (They don't take Alipay, only tap-to-pay credit cards or cash). The underground area of Nagoya Station also has many restaurants and clothing shops to explore, plus a currency exchange office (the hotel reception has a pamphlet about it – grab one, or you'll get lost!). Behind Nagoya Station, you'll find Takashimaya and Meitetsu Department Store. All in all, extremely convenient. Beyond the official tourist brochures, the hotel lobby also had recommendations for local cafes and eateries from the staff, which felt very thoughtful. Nagoya truly is an interesting city worth exploring. One minor drawback: the bathroom drain was very slow, so I wouldn't recommend taking a bath unless you're prepared to wait until the next day for the water to drain."

"I rarely go out of my way to write a hotel review, but this place is absolutely amazing! Since the hotel is on a high floor, every room has a fantastic view, and the sunlight streaming in is just beautiful. The room decor is very modern and well-designed; all the storage is cleverly integrated into the metal circular counter by the sink. Even the ceramics in the room are local Japanese pottery. Everything is just perfect! The room was sparkling clean too."

"Overall, this was an excellent hotel experience. The environment was quiet and very clean, especially the bed, which left a lasting impression. The bed was large, and both the mattress and bedding were exceptionally clean, which isn't always the case in hotels, making for a very peaceful night's sleep. One small detail truly stood out: the slippers on the first day weren't quite right, but after cleaning on the second day, they were replaced with a more comfortable pair (I'm not sure if this was a deliberate adjustment by the staff, but it definitely left a positive impression). Also, when I accidentally stained the bedsheet, the cleaning staff handled it incredibly thoroughly and efficiently, for which I'm very grateful. The hotel also offers a variety of items for rent, such as different types of pillows, curling irons, garment steamers, and bottle openers, which is very thoughtful for travelers. The front desk service was consistently polite and attentive, making me feel respected and comfortable throughout my stay."
