"Traveling with my parents during the off-peak season, the hotel upgraded us to a family room with a great view. The hotel's location is right in the city center, directly across the road from the Ningxia Museum. After breakfast, we walked over, and it was just opening, which was perfect. The experience was excellent.
The hotel breakfast was good, especially the croissant with chocolate sauce – a perfect combination! Paired with freshly made beef noodles, it's definitely a super recommendation from this hotel.
By chance, I also tried the hotel's executive lounge. While the food selection wasn't extensive, it was quite refined, and the red wine was excellent – a local Helan Mountain wine. I'm already planning to buy a few bottles online after returning to Beijing. All in all, it's a very good hotel."

"First off, the hotel's location is fantastic, right inside the Tonghu Grassland scenic area. The environment is superb, and transportation is very convenient, with shuttle buses available within the scenic area. The butler service was exceptionally good; they provide one-on-one service, contacting you in advance and offering excellent suggestions for your itinerary. Since we were traveling with our child this time, he participated in the evening stargazing activity, which I highly recommend! It's especially great for fostering a child's interest in astronomy. The hotel also hosted an amazing 'Ma Dao Cheng Gong' (instant success) equestrian show in the evening, which was incredibly impressive and definitely worth seeing. Additionally, the hotel offers excellent travel photography services at a reasonable price, and the photos turned out beautifully. Overall, I give this hotel a full five-star rating; everything was wonderful! We'll definitely be back!"

"When checking in, the staff member Monica was incredibly efficient and friendly. She even went out of her way to recommend some fun places to visit nearby. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable, it felt like being wrapped in a cloud. The bathroom facilities were also new, and the toiletries were of good quality. I really enjoyed the tea bags in the room; they had a lovely sweet flavor, and having a huge bathtub was a definite plus!"

"Overnight stay, the main aim of my stay here was to visit Xumi Shan Grottoes. The two young ladies at the front desk when I checked in were very kind and helpful, they quickly arranged a driver to take me to the grottoes, and gave me lots of useful information about dining and shopping options. The hotel is in a convenient location, also an easy 15 minute walk to Guyuan Museum, which is well worth visiting. Breakfast had a good variety of options. The room was very smart and comfortable, apart from the fact that I couldn't operate the air conditioning and consequently I had to keep the window open all the time I was there.."

"The biggest surprise of my trip to Zhongwei was staying at the Xiang Tengger Desert Hotel. Deep in the Tengger Desert, far from the hustle and bustle, the dedicated shuttle service made check-in hassle-free, saving us the trouble of driving into the sand ourselves. The rooms were clean and dry, which is quite rare for a desert environment, and the facilities exceeded our expectations. During the day, we enjoyed playing on the sand dunes, with plenty of activities like sandboarding and other desert adventures that kept the kids entertained. In the evening, we waited for the stunning desert sunset, and after dark, there was a bonfire party and fireworks. Looking up, we could see the brilliant Milky Way – the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. The staff were warm and attentive, quickly resolving any issues we had. Overall, it perfectly blended wilderness adventure with comfort, making it ideal for a family trip. If I ever return to the Zhongwei desert, I'll definitely stay here again."

Secondly, the room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped, with smart controls throughout, and you could see the river view right from the window! Best of all, I was able to check out at 6 PM (because I booked in advance), which is an absolute blessing for marathon runners! Overall, a truly excellent experience!"

"The hotel room was okay, but the breakfast was terrible. The food trays were all empty. I walked around and couldn't find anything to eat. I ordered a bowl of 'saorzi' noodles, and the 'saorzi' (minced meat topping) was cold. The noodles were flavorless, and the lettuce in the salad was rotten... The waitress told me it was 'broken apart,' which was clearly a flimsy excuse. There was a staff member standing by the entrance with a sour face, looking as if I owed him money. This is not at all what hotel service should be like. For such poor quality food and service, it's incredibly overpriced. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place."

Good value for money, friendly, helpful night staff, no language problem, easy and trouble free foreign friendly. The feedback is based on my room and my overall experience. The room was very clean, newish super clear, bright lights bathroom, with very nice shower. The beds are a bit hard but nothing major, very quite, small but manageable parking space, despite my car being a big. It was one night experience, short but pleasant with lots of food option but the front doors of the hotel. Which very convenient. Definitely recommend unfortunately, I forgot to take some pictures. ThumbsUp 👍

Guest UserOn the second day of Zhongwei, we stayed at the Mercure Hotel with Star Lake View Resort in the Wild. I didn't expect the service of this hotel to be so good! My girlfriend and I came to Zhongwei to play. We were carrying a large suitcase. The boss sent a car to pick us up to the hotel for free. During the summer peak season, it was not easy to take a taxi. When we checked out, we also arranged a car for us in advance. We also presented two bottles of drinks for us to drink on the road. The hotel's evening activities are particularly rich, with a bonfire party and fireworks show. We enjoy the beautiful scenery of the camp under the galaxy starry sky, which is very romantic.

Anonymous UserThis is the best desert guesthouse I've ever stayed at! The owner is a local, and someone came to pick us up as soon as we arrived at the parking spot, always on call. The bonfire party at night was lively, and the fireworks were beautiful. We stayed in a cabin, which was clean and had air conditioning, so it wasn't cold at night. The standard room had two large beds, more than enough for four people! My friends had a blast. We'll definitely come again!

This hotel is excellent in every aspect! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the facilities are new, and all amenities are well-stocked. The room was wonderfully spacious and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of room to relax, and the housekeeping team clearly does an immaculate job.
The service was truly outstanding. Every member of the staff provided wonderful, friendly, and excellent service from the moment I checked in until the moment I left. They genuinely cared about making my stay comfortable.

The hotel is large, has many rooms, and is actually full. Business is very good. This is inseparable from the hotel's location, service and price!
The location is perfect: the hotel is located in the city center, 600 to 700 meters away from Wanda Plaza. There is a fruit supermarket next to it. The ”Yisheng Shou” where you can eat hand-made sheep is only 100 meters away... In short, it is very convenient to eat and order takeout.
Attentive service: Call the front desk and the problem can be solved immediately. The room cleaning staff cleaned up the leftovers from our morning meal as soon as they arrived at work at 8:30 in the morning.

HuniuerxiaoleI chose this hotel because of the free airport pickup and drop-off service, which was a decisive factor for me. The butler contacted us in advance and arranged the pickup, even sending us a small guide and restaurant recommendations, which were all very clear. The hotel environment is also excellent, the driver was very friendly, and the room was super comfortable. I do have a small suggestion though: there seemed to be too few trash cans. It would be much more convenient if the small tabletop bins were replaced with larger ones. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and there was also complimentary late-night congee available, so if you don't feel like going out in the evening, you can easily have a satisfying meal here. The surroundings of the hotel are also lovely; on a clear night, you can even enjoy moon gazing. Overall, I give my stay a full 5 stars.

With the high temperatures in Suzhou and Hangzhou, this is a great escape to the heat in the northwest, featuring a lovely guesthouse village. Nan'an is the largest guesthouse complex in the area, with 40 rooms out of a total of 100. This time, we stayed at Taojiaying West House, with a swimming pool in front and a farm/ranch/ranch in the back – very pleasant. The room details were also very well done, suitable for large families or groups of friends.
Both restaurants in the village are good for breakfast: 🌻Xiangke (more variety),
🍜Lao Wang Ji Breakfast & Midnight Canteen. Special praise to Nan'an's management team, including Da Yuan and her group; they communicated with us before our arrival and were very attentive. During our stay, our drone got stuck in a tree in the yard, and the management team helped us find a solution from evening until morning, finally fixing it with a tree trunk over ten meters long.
- Climb the Great Wall (five-minute climb to the top) for panoramic views of the Yellow River and the village.
- Feeding lambs, riding camels, milking goats.
I call it the Yellow River version of ”Wuzhen Village”; the entire village has an integrated design with a Mediterranean feel, perfect for photos.
