The facilities are quite old, and you can tell the room is in need of maintenance. What was really startling was that the housekeeping staff actually walked into my room twice without knocking during my stay. If you value peace and quiet, make sure to request a room away from the street, otherwise, the bar downstairs can be incredibly noisy with people talking all night long, especially on weekends. The upside is its central location, making dining and shopping very convenient.
Booked for a friend. The location is superb, less than 1 minute from the church and less than 2 minutes from the bell tower. For such a prime location, the price is very reasonable. Standard rooms only have showers, but upgraded rooms (for an extra 20 Euros) come with a bathtub. Breakfast is comprehensive and served until 10:00 AM, which is a good option if you want to save on meal costs.
Hotel Chamade in Ghent is a delightful find! The modern design and cozy ambiance create a welcoming atmosphere. My room was comfortable and well-equipped, perfect for relaxation. Its location is ideal, just a short walk from the city center and attractions. The friendly staff provided excellent service, making my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a charming experience in Ghent!
We had a really nice stay, the room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We only interacted with the front desk during check in and checkout, but they were very friendly. The lobby looks grand. There was free fruits, coffee, and water in the lobby. We felt it was worth the price we paid.
The basic service was okay. I booked a triple room, but upon entering, I discovered it only had a double bed. It turned out the sofa bed had to be moved out and adjusted by the guest, whereas at other hotels, it was already set up before check-in. The hotel doesn't clean the rooms daily, so guests have to go to the front desk to get any supplies they need in the bathroom. However, these details weren't communicated to guests at check-in.
I had a fantastic stay! The hotel was spotlessly clean overall, and my room was meticulously serviced, making the environment impeccable. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, ensuring a quiet and comfortable atmosphere perfect for a good night's sleep. The location is superb, offering great convenience for getting around. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, making meals incredibly easy. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, covering all daily necessities. Overall, it offers great value for money, and my experience was exceptional. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip.
This place is great, very quiet. There's a small bus terminal right outside (many bus routes start there). The bar downstairs looks lively, but the residential area is completely undisturbed. You have to walk down a corridor to get to the rooms, and the corridor door requires a key card to enter, so there's no need to worry about bar patrons accidentally wandering into the residential area (it's very safe).
The hotel itself is also clean. Although there's a construction site nearby, I didn't see any construction happening, and I couldn't even hear any street noise (which I was quite happy about).
It's perfect for anyone arriving in Ghent by Flixbus, as it's less than a 10-minute walk (about 600 meters) from the Flixbus stop.
When you stay at Castanea in Merelbeke, you'll be next to a golf course, within a 15-minute walk of Rodeland Bicycle Trail 1 and The Cottage. This golf castle is 2.6 mi (4.3 km) from Ghelamco Arena and 3.6 mi (5.8 km) from Ghent University Hospital.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as bicycles to rent, or other amenities including complimentary wireless internet access and a fireplace in the lobby.

I booked a 3-night stay at the Ghent Marriott through Ctrip, checking in from May 11th to May 14th local time. My actual experience was really great. The hotel's design is quite cozy, and the lobby lounge has a high ceiling, making it feel airy and grand. I especially want to mention that when I checked in on the afternoon of May 11th, a bearded gentleman at the front desk warmly welcomed me and helped me with my luggage to my room. That evening, after having a drink at the lobby lounge, I accidentally left my credit card behind. He personally brought it to my room. I hadn't even realized I'd forgotten it, so I was really surprised 😲 and delighted that he remembered my room number. On May 14th (Thursday), my check-out day, I had a flight to catch, but breakfast on that holiday started at 7 AM. When the front desk found out, they helped me coordinate with the restaurant to have an early breakfast. I think both of these small details were really touching. I left a thank-you note and a tip for the bearded gentleman at the front desk since our shifts didn't overlap. The service was excellent, highly recommended!
Location is geared more toward those who intend to take quite a bit of daily intercity train trips like us. It's very, very near the ghent st Peters station. Hence, there is not much night activity or eateries around the area. But it's an easy bus ride toward the town centre thus its not too much of a hassle to travel within the city.
Service at the main desk was professional and friendly. I stayed 4 nights there, and on the last day of my stay, the cleaning lady did not bother to clean the room or take out the trash. I complained about this to the front office lady, and she was apologetic and waived my city tax payment.
Overall, I would still stay there if I need to go on daily intercity train trips as the price is actually quite reasonable. I only ranked the service as 4 stars due to the lapse of cleaning service on the last day.

ZZhongcaifaThe experience was great, but the hotel's location was a bit out of the way, and it was a little eerie to walk back alone late at night. Also, half of the hotel was under renovation, so the gym was unavailable, which was a shame. However, the staff were very friendly.
HHuanqiuyuzhoulvxingjiaThis hotel was the most impressive one on my trip through the Netherlands, Germany, France, Luxembourg, and Belgium. It's located right in the heart of Ghent's scenic riverfront, a World Heritage site, one of Europe's top ten design hotels, and on the list of the world's top 100 hotels! Staying here, it truly lives up to its reputation. It's incredibly well-designed, opulent, a genuine antique with a strong sense of culture and history. The classic Baroque style is evident, and the furniture and decor are all traditional European. It exudes the luxurious feel of an ancient European palace! The breakfast was also excellent, especially the breakfast restaurant, which has fantastic views!
GGuest UserThe boss didn't understand English, it was difficult to communicate, and he charged arbitrarily. He changed my double room to a double bed. The location is next to the tram, there is a tram at about 5:00 in the morning, it is very noisy, I can’t sleep
DDr. ErikExcellent stay, friendly staff, this hotel offers a minimalistic lean style genre Moxy and CitizenM. I stayed here last year and found the price-quality ratio excellent. My total stay now was 9 days.
The bar and restaurant are excellent, and the breakfast satisfactory for a European hotel (I live in Asia where you’d expect several warm meals, noodles and rice for breakfast!)
However, I extended my stay by a couple of days, and I don’t find that they handled this edge case too well. First a hotel staff member knocked on my door and asked why I hadn’t checked out. I explained the situation and all seemed fine. But later that day housekeeping staff barged into my room several times unannounced , seemingly unaware the room was still occupied (why is there no button with a don’t disturb sign? Or even an old school door hanger?). So please JAM, you need to improve your processes better.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, well-organized, and extremely comfortable. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the overall freshness of the space. The location is excellent—convenient, accessible, and close to everything I needed, which made getting around the city very easy. The front desk staff were also incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, making the entire stay even more pleasant. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.
TTravel WWThis hotel has nothing but the front desk. The room is not on the same floor as the front desk. In addition to the excellent location, there is no other recommended price is too low. I don't know how this is listed. Four stars.
欧欧洲一个人的旅行The location of this store is very good, just near the scenic spot. The service attitude of the staff was excellent. I arrived very late that day, it was already 12 o'clock in the middle of the night, but the staff still received me warmly. It's a mixed-sex house, but it's very quiet and everyone is very well-behaved and orderly. It should be noted that everyone should try to check in as early as possible. If you arrive in the middle of the night, you may not be able to check in, but you will still be allowed to check in. In addition, a little tip for friends like me who are staying in a youth hostel for the first time. This hotel requires you to take down the bed sheet and put it in the lobby when you check out~
